We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock
This feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI incase of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Pocket lock
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Three finger swipe for screenshot
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

anyone moved from LOS 14.1 to PA 7.2.0?
can please let us know your opinions? especially on battery
thanks

Hey so I figured out the Color Engine thing yay
And here are my initial thoughts:
UI / UX Is good Not much lag to the point that it would make me triggered.
The Customization is Bees-knees, I love it much more over Omni, Omni only had Substratum Themes. Which most of the ones I liked were paid and I didn't feel like dishing out money for.
Set it to that Amoled black w/Pixel Blue ayeeess.
Don't really like the way the PIE thing works, kinda wanted a bit more out of that but I don't expect to be using it so eh idc.
Rapid Charging works just like Omni yay.
Love the ability to swap the buttons around
That's about it. I give it a 8 1/2 / 10 for a few reasons.
If we could I'd like the ability to press and hold power while the screens off to turn on the flashlight but I see why it's not there (pocket protection, very useful )
I'd love to see screen-on gestures (like drawing letters to preform actions)
I'd like to see the ability to change the battery Icon style (I like round battery )
I'd also like to see the ability to change the lock screen shortcuts (I miss the phone shortcut D
And finally the ability to use lift to check notifications (like in the screenshot!)
And that pretty much wraps up my experience. ROM looks awesome guys keep up the amazing work!

GApps
I use BaNKS Dynamic GApps: http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=banks&device=gapps
If you use another kind, and it works, please let me know and I will add it.
Kernels
@Khaon's kernel works perfectly with this ROM and will hopefully soon be included by default. For now, you must flash separately. Double tap 2 wake will not work without his kernel.
Bugs
None yet that I know of. Let me know of any that you find and please include a logcat or I cannot guarantee it will be fixed!
Change Log
General Changelog
Disclaimer: I'm going to be completely honest with all of you; I started learning how to build ROMs about 3 months ago and have spent countless hours of learning/reading. This is only my second ROM that I have built. That being said, I am far away from being one of the many great developers here. I just build from their source and make it compatible for our device. There may be bugs here and there as I am still new at this so please bear with me, post a logcat with any bugs you find, and I will do my best to fix it!
Glad to see this.
Awesome... Thank you
@hawkstwelve
Hi,
Since you have recently also become the de facto maintainer of Chroma ROM for manta, let me ask you, how does this compare to that in terms of stability/battery life/usability? Are there any major feature differences? Is there any reason for a Chroma user to switch to this?
Thanks.
I haven't gotten to spend a good enough amount of time with either ROM to judge battery. They both seem smooth and stable to me. Best way to tell is run one for a week, another the next week. You'll get a good judge on which one you like better and a good idea on battery/stability.

One of my favorite as well, hopefully it runs good for you. Just trying to show the good ol' N10 some love. :good:
Very nice to see this, just found it now. I run Euphoria on my LG G3. Just flashed a different rom last night, well, I went back to kk, LiquidSmooth, so I will defiantly be back to check this out & to report anything. Again, thank you sir!

(Edited) I man going to have to pass on this one. It is just not my kind rom. I will PM you as to not clutter up this thread with posts about another rom. I tried to PM and it wouldn't let me, it said "no such user" but I will try again with an explanation.
(Updated)
I managed to get a messages to you. It was XDA app that wouldn't find. I switched to browser and was able to PM you with no issues.

Well I'm hoping the quiet-ness in here is due to there being no issues... ? I'm trying to integrate Khaon's kernel into the build but it'll take me another day or two to figure some more stuff out. Then I'll try and sync up and get another build out for you guys.

That is enabled per the kernel. Flash Khaon's kernel and dt2w will be enabled by default. That was one of the reasons I've been trying to implement his kernel by default, but that's proving to be a little more difficult than originally thought.
Update: Just want you guys to know that I have not left development on this ROM. I am working as much as I can on integrating Khaon's kernel into the build, which in order to do so, I had to switch toolchains. I first tried to compile using UBERTC but that was a no-go. Now I am trying to compile with SaberMod and with a little bit of help from tobitege (over on BlissPop), I am hoping all will go well now. I am learning all of this as it comes/as I go so it takes me a little longer than other, more experienced devs. Worst comes to worst, I will just compile a build using the updated sources and get it out to you guys soon. But hopefully this build will go good and we can all reap the benefits of Khaon's kernel right off a fresh flash.
Give me a little bit more time, an update is coming in the near future one way or another.

Why are you building / labeling these as 'official'?
They appear quite unofficial to me... The source is there, there's nothing wrong with building and posting - but don't misrepresent what you are building/providing. Thanks.

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimisations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
Pie (not yet public, so not found in unofficial builds like this one)
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine (not yet public, so not found in unofficial builds like this one)
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie (not yet public, so not found in unofficial builds like this one)
- Color engine (not yet public, so not found in unofficial builds like this one)
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Device specific features for titan:
- Support for 3 button inline headset remote control.
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

AOSPA for ZUK Z2 Plus
[/CENTER]
Disclaimer:
Accidental Touch
Accidental Touch is a feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behaviour while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Pocket lock
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Accidental touch
- Three finger swipe Screenshot
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Specific device performance and battery optimizations
- Two-Step input boost
- THP usage in kernel and memory allocator
- Optimized task scheduling
- Specific boosting in performance critical scenarios
- Full audio and video offloading functionality
- Custom built performance controller
- Much more

I flashed it last night and VoLTE was working for me..
The only additional bug I found was video playback isnt working.
Nice! Obviously it's still in the early stages, but what's the battery life like at the moment? Providing it's not terrible then i'm more than happy to help test with you guys! I assume Wi-Fi is broken for everyone?
keep going

I can assure that VoLTE is working fine, that is tested and working. Don't mind if the ROM doesn't have VoLTE icon in status bar (that doesn't mean volte is enabled or not).
Btw 2.5.104 Indian N firmware or 2.5.412 Chinese Firmware is necessary before you flash this build

Don't worry about Battery Life on alpha builds (we cannot evaluate them, unless every component is fine), it depends on usage.
Wi-Fi is broken for this release. I am working on it already
I will release ASAP the WlanHW is fixed.

Thanks to @DD3Boh and @AnjoVingador, really helped me. Also thanks to other Z2_plus devs (there is a huge list, )
I cannot give ETA for OFFICIAL support. If I push for OFFICIAL I will post it here

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Ruby, based on Android 11.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

Ruby 1 Dev (20210831)
- These builds are based on a whole new set of device trees, so changes from last Ruby Beta build are massive. Clean flash is recommended.
This is a production/user build and SELinux is enforcing.
It is completely based off CAF tags LA.UM.9.11.r1-04500-NICOBAR.0 (vendor) and LA.QSSI.11.0.r1-12300-qssi.0 (system), and has been updated completely to R, with July security patch. The usage of stock (MIUI) vendor blobs is only for camera, audio and sensors and nothing else.
Cheers and #StayParanoid!

Hey, thanks for your grear job here, i´m using PA Quartz as a daily driver since july, and for sure i´m looking forward to PA Ruby updates.
One thing i love from PA Quartz is the Safety Net compatibility out-of-the-box, and i just want to ask, Ruby will remain this absolutely grear feature? this is absolute mandatory for me, in order -for example- to use my banking apps.
Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Cheers!

I am using Ruby alpha 1 and it passes safety net, so i believe the answer is yes.
Can you add gaming mode? I often get annoyed with notifications and calls come to me. so far I like the development of the paranoid
Thank you so much. I'm using this Rom. It's fantastic. I'm using it on the Redmi Note 8T (willow)
I haven't encountered any issues.
The only bug I've encountered so far (and it seems to be in your screenshot). Is that on the home screen, the Google Search Box has disappeared and I can't get it back.
I think it may of been where I and you (screenshot guy), would of click 'accept' to a Google assistant notification to bring Google assistant up by swiping up from the bottom corner. I don't know how to compile an bug report and send it to the developer.
But amazing Rom. Especially how i can't seem to find an official Rom for Paranoid Android that works on the 8T model (willow)
hai dev. i'm big fans of this work.
i'm using this rom for a week, for daily driver. its great!!
thank dev. keep the great works.
Best a11 rom so far! Tried 3-4 other but battery performance is best in pa for sure.
Is there a fix or option to disable screenshot sound ? it's annoying
Very smooth rom among all the a11 roms I've tried.
Eagerly waiting for the next update.
Thanks developer.
Great ROM, thank you! Is there a way to get the camera app back from Quartz?
Does this ROM support fast charging?
I've been using paranoid. Stock in aosp android 11 sorry my bad english and competencies. Finde a problem: when I wanna change password with pin it is impossible and some time the app crash. Fine
I can't use bank apps. It's say rooted.
