Beware of KUGI SLIM Case. New version with auto wake but messing with digitizer! - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Accessories

I bought the "Tab S3 9.7 case, KuGi Tab S3 9.7 SM-T820 / T825 case - High quality ultra-thin Smart Cover Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 inch tablet.(Black)" cause some people here said that it didnt auto wake tablet but it also wouldn't mess with spen.
They fix the auto wake problem and at the same time they mess with spen causing the known problem showed on video. Beware of that case. I bought from amazon uk, they will refund me, i only had it on my tablet for five minutes i hope my tablet is ok!

[Q] Galaxy Tab S 10.5" Keyboard + Cover/Protector/Pouch compatibility?

Hi everyone, this is my first post, so thanks for reading!
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5", and along with it I got the Samsung Bluetooth Keyboard. It's great and sleek; they work really well together. However, I am still wary of scratching up the tablet since the keyboard doesn't come with a cover and only serves as a stand.
I was wondering whether there are any covers for the tablet available that would be compatible with the keyboard; AUA: the tablet will still fit in the keyboard while it has the cover/protector attached. If not, I was wondering if there are any great pouches big and snug enough to keep the tablet folded with the keyboard inside? A pouch might be nice actually since the keyboard itself was rather expensive as well, so keeping it in good condition is preferable.
I hope the answers here help others, too, because I couldn't really find any threads addressing this issue.
Here is the keyboard in question: samsung . com /us/ mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EJ-CT800UAEGUJ
Many thanks!
PS. It would be nice to have a cover/protector to complement this titanium bronze color. Not necessary though :fingers-crossed:
PPS. I know this sorta belongs in the Galaxy Tab S Accessories forum, but I was warned that posting questions there is against the rules.
There should be plenty of netbook cases fitting it.
Aw alright thanks

Hmm well if that's the only option then I guess that's alright with me. I was just hoping that there was a more eloquent solution.
I'll definitely look into it though. Thank you very much for your advice.
I hope Samsung does eventually produce a matching case or pouch for the tab + keyboard.
I have this and it protects the screen while closed (there are 4 plastic holders at the edges) or do you want the backside to be protected as well?

oh yeah it protects my screen well when it is closed. I just wanted something for the back for when I close it and carry it around. I don't want to scratch the tablet anywhere; as little as possible at least
I got the Logitech keyboard instead because it was $50 cheaper and protects both the screen and the back of the tablet. I'd suggest you return the Samsung keyboard and get the Logitech one

Thanks but I tried the logitech one and I didn't like the feel. It felt cheaper. Also they let me buy the Samsung one for 50% off cuz I asked
Haha well to each his own!
I got this one and have only had it a couple days. Keyboard is included and seems to work well.

I have the Samsung book cover that I love but if I wanted a keyboard it would be this one. Very nice at a good price. Good find.
I have this one for a quick running out the door cover, no keyboard. One not so good feature, it's really hard to use it for a stand. Doesn't work well for that but otherwise it's super. I've got one for my Note 3 also.

Logitech Type-S Keyboard Cover

Is the Logitech S-Type Keyboard cover for Tab S2 compatible (in terms of size) with the Tab S3? I am planning to upgrade to the S3 mainly for the S-Pen but will be useless without a keyboard. The OEM keyboard cover has not yet been launched in the UAE market.
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/type-s-keyboard-case-galaxy-tab-s
according to the pictures, I think it would fit but it will cover some part of the upper speaker.
you said upgrade to s3 , I assume that you own the S2 and that keyboard right?
just bring your case to the store and try with the mockup.
this keyboard wont work. It fit's PERFECTLY, minus the camera placement, but it doesn't sync to the tablet. I tried for about 30 minutes to make it sync to multiple devices with a bestbuy employee before I purchased it. Just wouldn't go.
You're better off getting the stock samsung keyboard case. It was half-price at B&H photo a few weeks ago. Will probably go on sale again.
Best Buy and Amazon are selling the Samsung Keyboard Case for $65. OOS at Amazon, so BB might be a better option.
Well I'm not sure about the Logitech S-Type Keyboard Case, but I've tried multiple Tab S2 (T815Y) folio cases for my Tab S3 (T825) and they fit perfectly well, except for the change in position of the charging port and 3.5 mm jack at the bottom of the tablet, everything else aligns perfectly well with Tab S2 cases. The camera, power button and volume buttons of the Tab S3 align perfectly with the Tab S2 cases I've tried so far.
I have both tablets, the S2 (T810) and the S3 (T820), and my Type-S Logitech keyboard fit and works perfectly. It connects to Bluetooth as with my Tab S2. No sync/bluetooth issues; I am typing this with this KB now.
Just in case any one wonders, the Samsung S Action mouse (ET-MP900D) works fine.
Hope this helps.
yes it is. I have one myself with a Logitech keyboard cover for tab s2 and fits perfectly and works perfect. in my opinion is better compared to original Samsung keyboard cover

tab s3 cases (uk)

Apologies if I have missed the grand tab S3 case thread but haven't found one. I've just splashed out in an S3 and need a case for it. Sadly origami doesn't make one for the S3. So what do people use?
Hi
Please note that if you use any case that has auto wake feature (magnets) you will get problems using the S pen, unresponsive areas on the screen,
I have not found any third party case yet that works perfectly with the S pen
it would be very easy to think the tablet has a fault with the display, when the problem is the case, if you find a good usable case, could you report back,
the only case with no problem is the official Samsung case, but this gives very little corner protection and is very expensive, then there is the Samsung keyboard case, but this has no cut out for camera, so that's also not an option for me

I have the keyboard case from Samsung. Works just fine with the S Pen. I sometimes detatch the keyboard and lay the tablet flat on the cover, and no problems with S Pen.
However this case does not have auto wake and lock feature when closing the lid. But it has instead this feature if you connect or disconnect the keyboard. So they did not forget this feature. =)
Sure no back camera, but who takes pic with tablets? Front camera more important for video chatting...

Have you been to any tourist spot lately, he said sarcastically...
It always baffles me when you see tourists photographing with their tablets.

I thought I responded to this but perhaps not.
The Samsung keyboard case I have has the cutout for the back camera.
What issues have you had with the S-Pen and magnets? I have another case I use 70% of the time that has magnets and have no issues with the S-Pen.

I have. See recent thread re "ZERO-magnet" cases.

magnets on 3rd party cases: does the S4 have the same issue?

the Tab S3 had a issue with magnets on 3rd party cases, where it's alleged that the the strength of the magnets can create "dead spots" on the digitalizer — and in some cases, the damage is permanent. the original thread is here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s3/accessories/beware-auto-sleep-tab-s3-t3625213
anyone experience the same issue with the Tab S4?
This is probably the same with the SGTS4. It won't affect the capacitive touchscreen but it will affect the S-Pen.
I have both the Tab S3 and the Tab S4 on magnetic cases and neither tablet has any issue with the magnets, S Pen, dead spots or touch screen.

It depends on how power the magnets are on your case. If the magnets used in your case are extremely powerful then they will interfere with your device and cause those issues.
i figured since the Tab S4 was so damn expensive, i might as well spend the extra and get the official Book Cover and some peace of mind.
surely Samsung's own case wouldn't be problematic ... would it?

It isn't. I have both the official Samsung covers and various 3rd party magnetic covers which I swap out based on what I need for that day. Have not had any issues in the 18+ months with the S3 and the couple of months with the S4. I don't know why there is a lot of FUD around this issue up on both the S3 and S4 forums up here. More likely than not the folks complaining are actually having issues with their S Pen and a broken nib (which is easily replaced). I know when I broke my S Pen nib it started acting up. But the nib replacements are in the box and easily removed and replaced fixing the issue.

Non magnetic Tab S2 case for Tab S3?

Hey guys
So I haven't found a non magnetic case for the Tab S3, the only one I've found is this one for the Tab S2. So I was wondering, other than the camera hole which does not fit the flash (and honestly I don't remember using the flash on my old 8.4 Tab Pro, so I'm good having it covered) , will this fit the Tab S3?
I've bought this other one in black but as nice it looks and feels, the 6 magnets that are everywhere are interfering the SPen function, so it's going back.
Thanks for any help
UPDATE 01/29/19: Never mind, I found the proper version of this case for the S3 HERE . Will review it and test for magnets once I have it.
