After a long time of being absent, i present you: AOSP for the Xperia XZ Premium.
This is build with help of the Sony sources (with a lot of tweaks to get it working)
A lot of features are not working yet.

This is an alpha AOSP rom, don' t except it to be better then the stock rom.
No camera in this build at all, maybe in the near future

hi mate, I build aosp for the regular xz, i'll suggest before you build to add otapackage with your make -j threads like so:
source build/envsetup.sh && lunch (device) && make -j 4 otapackage it will come as a flashable zip, u can change the recovery.img to a twrp before doing the zip
don't forget to keep ur sources up to date to have the lastest code, and have you the camerav2 build error ?

Hi,
Till now no camerav2 error, there is an other problem in the sources from sony.
The reason why there is no flashable zip, there is no TWRP yet, and i didn' t have time to build TWRP.

There is, here.
It won't display anything but you can without any issues flash and do backups so it's definitively working.
Sync your sources, since at least 3 weeks, on Open Devices we have fixed:
- Camera
- Sound in call
- A lot more

I am using AOSP for daily use since ... at least 3 weeks.
I love it.
Now we also have 4k and [email protected] support
Is the aosp rom always on 4k or is it like now only 4k in youtube and amazon?

How to install:
1) First copy ROM to internal storage
2) Gapps can be found here
3) Make sure you have a kernel with CWM or TWRP recovery. (if not, then flash a CM kernel using fastboot flash boot boot.img)
4) Immediately boot into recovery.
5) I always wipe data and cache to be safe
6) Flash ROM and GAPPS as you do with normal CM
7) Enjoy
Issues:
Recovery seems broken on this kernel, so to flash another version, you will have to reflash a custom boot.img in order to gain recovery.
Root appears to be broken
Camera is broken
Mic (maybe broken?) edit: yes it is broken. Waiting for the CM source kings to work their magic
Everything else seems to be working well!

This is a test version so please don't expect things to be working properly!

Yeah, sorry I will edit post and update that. Everything except Camera (and maybe mic, haven't been able to test that properly yet)
Videos, brightness, rotation, Network, Network data, wifi .. etc. All working

I am not sure but brunch will work when CM 13 or 12.1 will be supported officially by cynogenmod. Instead of brunch you can use lunch and mka bacon combo.

i flashed the ROM but hangup up on boot load ? tried to hard reset and soft reset nothing is workinghang up with htc logo only?

just replace mediacodecs.xml from old rom or factory reset or reflash rom,,because nobody is having that error bro,,

both LineageOS and Resurrection Remix are unified builds that work on Single SIM and Dual SIM devices - no separate kernel or ROM needed !
Resurrection Remix: already IS the unified build (thread is currently parked at the General Subforum: Resurrection Remix 5.8.2 for Xperia Z5 (unified build) )
LineageOS: please download the unified LineageOS builds from olivier: lineageOS ROM (as mentioned at: LineageOS thread )
those are NOT boot-tested but should work (need testing + feedback)

Notes:
The preamp of FauxSound or the actual sound/soc driver state seems to be a bit "mushy",
thus the white noise (swoosh-ing, hiss-ing) is a bit high - reduce headphone amp by 10 or 15 (-10 or -15) so that you get a clear and well-defined output,
it really depends on your headphones - with in-ear it is most likely more noticable.
This was with unmodified "stock"/"upstream" lineageOS kernel source and with a bit patched up - so nothing I can and will change

please update to the lineageOS builds from Olivier,
unless he has uncommitted changes locally in his repos - there are no changes,
my lineageOS build is at patchlevel March 5th 2017,
so with recent changes the kernel (more precisely the ramdisk) might be incompatible with the old builds from @Myself5

it might work, but you most likely run into a bootloop, too, if you're not using latest lineageOS builds (those from Olivier)
In this minute i downloaded fresh update, flashed in this order:
1. lineage-14.1-20170316-UNOFFICIAL-sumire
2. open_gapps-arm64-7.1-nano-20161104
3. UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.78-20160905010000
4. Z5_SK_Enf_v14.1_I.3_sum

Just gave your Kernel a try on latest olivier's lineageos (0316). Got a bootloop. After 20 minutes, I did a power reset and dirty reflashed latest olivier's lineageos (0316) via TWRP. Telephone was functional again.

yes, currently uploading
I'd install LineageOS + gapps (opengapps),
go through all steps,
then go into TWRP, make a backup and attempt to flash the kernel.
I haven't flashed the ROM via zip,
I flashed it via the .img files and fastboot since the updater-script seemed to cause trouble ...

I removed the assert line but it still didn't work for me,
also booting the stock ROM kernel via fastboot doesn't seem enough anymore,
it has to be flashed, then the VOL DOWN button pressed to reach TWRP on the recovery partition.
If you reach TWRP via a different method please let me know :)

I haven't flashed the ROM via zip,

I flashed the rom by flashing pixn kernel then booting into twrp when purple led comes on and it flashes rom normaly and to access twrp later i have to use your stock kernel and type fastboot boot boot.img and it can go into recovery, but can't flash lineageos because of that error 7.

might be that upstream changed the content of updater-script,
that's why I ask for a working variant ;)

As we all know the Oreo is something that is quite distant for our device.
We need testers for Oreo Builds who can report bugs with accuracy, provide the logs required and have basic experience in software testing.
Be aware that the current & later releases are unstable & cannot be used as daily drivers.

Hello. Seems like you are doing Z00T Z00F builds for lineage 15 using my sources.
You should atleast inform me that you were going to use my sources. Even if they were open. So that we could inform you of bugs & other things.
Also, you can not just plaigarize my original post in a thread I opened.
This feels like you want to use my work & take credit for it.
