What is Edge Sense Plus?
You should already be familiar what Edge Sense is. By squeezing your device, it lets you perform some minor actions.
Edge Sense Plus extends those actions and adds some more features for you.
How does Edge Sense Plus work?
It is a simple app you install from playstore, linked at the bottom.
To get it working, you enable Advanced Mode'in the native Edge Sense Settings and select "Launch App" as custom action for both short and long squeeze
and pick the appropriate Edge Sense Plus Activity.
When the app starts the first time you'll get those instructions step by step again.

What can it do?

Per app actions:
With the per app action, you can define different squeeze actions per app. So the chosen action will be executed dependent in what app you are currently are.
Double Squeeze: (Premium)
If you often accidentally trigger a short squeeze, that won't happen anymore if you map your desired action to the double squeeze gesture.
You can define a double squeeze interval, to ensure you are quick enough to trigger it every time.
G-Sensor usage:
If enabled, will be able to execute different actions depending on the current position of your device, whether it is flat or upright in your hand.
That way you can have six different squeeze gestures: short, long, doublepress in flat or upright device position.
Magisk system mod:
The magisk system mod replaces the native Edge Sense app and allows customizations on lowest level. That makes it possible to:
Execute actions while the screen is off/locked
Have pocket detection (disables edge sense when the proximity sensor is blocked)
Customize the colors of the feedback graphics
Media control:
The media control will override your set squeeze actions while media is playing so you can control your media.
That includes play/pause, increase/decrease volume and skip to next and previous track.
Squeeze sounds:
Ever thought it would be funny if a squeeze of your U11 would make a sound, if it is a *click*, *oink* or whatever you think of?
You can use any .mp3 file to make that happen!

Remember that image?
We have that for real! Our Sidebar has three different panels, Applications, Recent Apps (Premium), Quicksettings (Premium).
You will also be able to customize the panel color to any color you like.

HiGreat application but I have problems
i bought the premium version but i have problems with the app when i want to customize the sidebar applications the app stops and stops ... then the prolonged pressure does not work ...
Nice idea i hope i will soon get a fix

Google is Threatening to Remove Apps with Accessibility Services from the Play Store
Google has sent out mails to developers to remove apps with accessibility service permissions that violate their new poliy.
That is saying now, that the accessibiliy services may be just used to help users with disabilities.

To prevent Edge Sense Plus getting deleted on the playstore, I will provide an Helper app here, outside the playstore, to be still able to provide the Accessibiliy Service features in Edge Sense Plus.
Simply install it, start it once and grant accessibiliy service permissions for the #Edge Sense Plus - Accessibility Helper.

When I try to go into sidebar settings and applications the app crashes. Also there are some typoes btw excellent app! Probably it will take HTC stock app years to get that kind of functionality :laugh: excellent work!

weird, I can't reproduce the crash.
Tried on a clean unrooted emulator too.
Really need a logcat from one of you.

Honestly, the nicest part about this ROM is that you have updated the UI to a more white-based scene, something Google should have done! But other than that it's all good, few things though;
1 - Couldn't find DPI settings.
2 - There is no "Clear all"button in the recents menu.
3 - Animation transitions (I know they're messed up everywhere on every ROM)
I'm running an LG-G2 D802-10B, probably doesnt help but i don't want some douche refusing to help because i didn't put my variant down haha

For me installation aborts by unofficial CWM. With PhilZ touch it's all ok! First impression is good! Thanks.

Installed it last evening. So far, no issues, everything seems to work well. Anyway, I have to questions:
- is there any way to increase the overall resolution? I would prefer a bigger fonts ...
Anyway, I downloaded textdroider_DPI from Google Play and set the DPI to 423. Reboot and now it is like on stock ROM.
- the led notification is working or not?

I love slimroms since my old GNex. And now, finally we have slim on my D802. Stable enough given that it's still Beta version. Few customizations aren't there yet but I'm sure it will come soon. So far UI scrolling is smooth, no random reboots, pretty good battery life (initial impression).
Would like to know if D802 will be supported officially by slim team, though. Anyway, thanks to dev/OP for your hard work

Common G2 issue. Don not power off your device.

Some notes.
On pa_g2-4.0-ALPHA-20131205-d802.zip i can record audio calls with callrecorder from line. On yuor ROM can't.
I see a different audiolib's in system\lib\hw\audio.primary.msm8974.so and additionaly see system\lib\hw\audio_policy.msm8974.so

Yes slim kat on the g2, awesome news, whats the easiest way to root the g2?

Cool! The one thing I missed from my Wimmobile days is that I can switch between apps quickly by pressing the icons on the notification bar(Taskbar?). As shown on below page. Strange that nobody had done that on android. This is the next best thing!

1. Can you make small apps to have transparent background always? After you select one of the task, the small app background stay opaque until you tap the running application.
2. Is it possible to have button to minimise the small app into floating small icons? (similar to selecting minimise from the notification windows)
3. I don't know whether this is by design, but when you open up the phone application and then touch back button, it will remove it from the small app. If you open up the task swithcer however, it will still listed phone app as the most recent one.
PS: Love your mod for Xperia Ray (I still used your system ui mod for ray) :good:

1. Well if i can override the theme of sony small app built in theme it should be possible.
2. It is possible but it will take a space if i put it just like that into the header. Unless i make it as horizontal list (which need some time to try).
3. Yes it was my intention to remove all closed app from the menu. In the stock Android setting, the Recent Apps will always store the closed application, so the next time you open it, it will not move the existing task to the front, but start a new activity for it. What i did was to remove all the closed apps, so to reduce the recent apps number there. But that's a good suggestion, i might add an option to fix that.

Ps: the UI in fact can be docked to the edge of your screen as i found out. Just double tap the move button and then drag it into the near edge of the screen, preferably at the right
Edit: It is recommended to turn on showing running apps. There are some undetected bugs with some Google apps of you leave it unchecked. Will inspect later. In the mean time stay with showing Running Apps only.

That isn't the Trick. Seems to me the Problem is in the not existing localization for German OT other languages.
The APP is always uninstalling after it relaunches. E.g. after changing a Routine or creating one. Or after reboot it considers the not existing translation... And is uninstalling.

I am on CRISSROMM 4.3 , the first boot all is fine ! the second it bugging (screen cmopletly start to be crazy ! shut on/off on /off...) and then it unistall alone ... :/

I modefide the default routine just once and its Everything fine so far.

It's not working like it should on s6 so I don't think it will be possible

Hello to all, it came out of sammobile.com the new 24.0.6 version. Proven and it works much better than 24.0.4. There are'nt multiple reboots and uninstalls randomly.

What is Edge Sense Plus?
You should already be familiar what Edge Sense is. By squeezing your device, it lets you perform some minor actions.
Edge Sense Plus extends those actions and adds some more features for you.
How does Edge Sense Plus work?
It is a simple app you install from playstore, linked at the bottom.
To get it working, you enable Advanced Mode'in the native Edge Sense Settings and select "Launch App" as custom action for both short and long squeeze
and pick the appropriate Edge Sense Plus Activity.
When the app starts the first time you'll get those instructions step by step again.

Double Squeeze: (Premium)
If you often accidentally trigger a short squeeze, that won't happen anymore if you map your desired action to the double squeeze gesture.
You can define a double squeeze interval, to ensure you are quick enough to trigger it every time.
G-Sensor usage:
If enabled, will be able to execute different actions depending on the current position of your device, whether it is flat or upright in your hand.
That way you can have six different squeeze gestures: short, long, doublepress in flat or upright device position.
Magisk system mod:
The magisk system mod replaces the native Edge Sense app and allows customizations on lowest level. That makes it possible to:
Execute actions while the screen is off/locked
Have pocket detection (disables edge sense when the proximity sensor is blocked)
Customize the colors of the feedback graphics
Media control:
The media control will override your set squeeze actions while media is playing so you can control your media.
That includes play/pause, increase/decrease volume and skip to next and previous track.
Squeeze sounds:
Ever thought it would be funny if a squeeze of your U11 would make a sound, if it is a *click*, *oink* or whatever you think of?
You can use any .mp3 file to make that happen!

We have that for real! Our Sidebar has three different panels, Applications, Recent Apps (Premium), Quicksettings (Premium).

Try to enable notification access (second setting from the bottom) and see if it works now. If you already had it enabled, try enable "Use broadcasts" in the Media control section.
If nothing works, blame Apple. Really nothing I can do about if they don't implement the standards like every other android music player does.

That is already possible, but it needs root and magisk.
Android does not allow 3rd party apps to be started while the screen is locked, that is why root is needed.

What is Edge Sense Plus?
Edge Sense Plus was initially just meant for the HTC U series. It let's you customize the squeeze action and adds some more squeeze gestures and features.
But with the Pixel2 and Pixel3 also coming with a squeezable frame I found a way to make it compatible too.
Since google locked active edge down to just only be able to start Assistant it will require a device rooted with magisk
Requirements
it works both on rooted and unrooted devices, the unrooted version is a bit limited on features though and requires you to make Edge Sense Plus the Default assistant
Install the Active Edge System Mod Magisk Module from the MagiskManager Repo and the EdgeSensePlus from the playstore and you are ready to go!

How does it work
To make it working on the Pixel3 I had to modify the SystemUIGoogle.apk that runs the ElmyraService (Service that processes the squeeze gestures).
I intercept the events and pass them to the EdgeSensePlus Application that starts the appropriate action then that you selected.
Some more adjustments were made, so the squeezing also works when you are in immersive mode, camera or when Google Assistant is deactivated/uninstalled.
With Android 10 it works now also on unrooted devices but it requires you to make Edge Sense Plus the Default assistant

Was going to look for your Telegram thread, but then saw you post this here. Basically here's my post from Tulsadiver's thread with his modifications including your Active Edge module support:

tldr of it is, when the Active Edge module is added, the phone seems to either have lag or lockups necessitating a complete reboot of the phone. Sometimes this doesn't happen for a while or sometimes is as soon as the phone boots.
Any ideas?

Mhh, no clue tbh. It worked fine for years on the Pixel2/Pixel 3. The Pixel 4 Version is not any different.
Can you maybe pull a logcat when it happens again?

Just installed this on my P4XL.
Couple things -- I have a long press set to trigger Assistant, and it seems to launch the old Assistant, the white full screen one. Any way to launch the new Assistant at the bottom of the display?
Also, I'm rooted with Magisk, but when I try to toggle the root option on the app, it says the "device seems not to be rooted.'

The original assistant can be just called when the root option is enabled.
DId you by chance denied root access once? Check in Magisk Manager->SuperUser

It's the bootloop protection of my module.
When an Security patch gets released I need to make the module compatible first.
Takes usually 24h when I have all files. Give me another hour and it will be done.
Then just reinstall the module.

Oh that's my bad. I saw P4XL in the change notes and since I just got the device today, I didn't even think to consider the November update.

ensure that you have either "User Usage" Access permissions given or have enabled the root toggle.
If it still doesnt work, send me a logcat please.
Previous users that had issues had mutliple camers installed or somehow tasker was set as default for the camera action.

I was working on it, but someone beat me to it.
There was a xda article about it already

I've noticed that when I map squeeze (single) to pull down the status bar or expand/retract it doesn't work the first time and I receive a toast that ES has been granted SU and then it works after that, but occasionally without a reboot it will stop working. Squeeze always pulls up the new assistant but doesn't consistently execute the action mapped to single squeeze for me. Sometimes it will expand the status bar but also the assistant so I can't interact with the notification shade until assistant goes away. All of this happens with assistant disabled, so not sure what else I can try.

About the issue that the expand collapse action does not work at the first time sometimes:
There is no way to check, if the status bar is expanded or not. I can only save the state if the squeeze executed the expand command, so that the next squeeze will execute a collapse action.
If you would collapse the statusbar manually after the first squeeze which expanded the statusbar, the 2nd squeeze would fail too, because it would execute the collapse command, altough you already manually collapsed it before.
Expanding and collapsing the statusbar does not need root permissions, so no idea why an SU popup appears.
About your second issue I'm not sure if I understood it correctly.
You mean that sometimes the mapped action does not get executed, but instead the stock action with GA?
That would be a weird behavior, because once the magisk module is mounted, that can't happen. Or are you non rooted?
