You can use any of the 2...... The difference is HOME CSC will keep all your files on Internal Storage and CSC will format it.

Just make sure you use Triangle away to reset the flash counter, after you do that immediately reboot the phone in download mode and follow the steps in the guide. This will recover your carrier stock ROM and OTA updates will be enabled again as long as you don't apply root.
Awesome thx

Then why ask for these files when we don't have root? I'm pretty sure we need root to get these files.

No, we don't have root. Only temp root is available for kitkat and even then, you can't do much with it and it unroots after a restart or shutdown.
No available root exploit or procedure has worked on our phone. The bootloader is locked up extremely tight.

N975F-DS firmware for USA on T-mo

Hey all. Having a "duh" moment. Which firmware do I download for an unlocked N975F-DS for use in the USA on T-Mobile?
I don't see USA in the Samsung list of firmware for this device.
Thank you!
Stick to whatever you have or the XAA firmware if that's what's its still called. There's no T-Mobile FW for the N975F, you have the Exynos model, the firmware for T-Mobile is snapdragon based and will end up bricking your device if you install it.
Thank you, minhajmsd. I should have been more clear. I want to root using Dr. Ketan's method, and I firmware download is "required".
"How to root Note10/Note 10+ & Flash TWRP (Exynos only)"
Are you saying to find the same FW that's on it now and use that?
And, should I change the CSC file to the T-Mobile one?
Thank you again. I'm out of the loop.....

If it's T-Mobile US in CSC go for it, last time I was able to root was with the note8 and I remember going for the XAA one, at the time I don't think there was a T-Mobile US one.
I have the Note 8 as well, rooted. Great phone. Just thought I needed a change, and give my daughter the 8.
I'll double check in the dr.ketan thread as well.
Thanks again.

Is CSC change possible by odin?

Hello
Can I replace CSC files through ODIN
My tablet is sm-t837t and I want to take CSC files from SM-835
And replace them during installation
The tablet without ROOT
It's important for me to switch because the SM-385 has more languages I need
Thank you
Yossi
Yes indeed. You must for example flash from sammobile a possible csc-file for this device.

Yes. I changed CSC on a Tab S4 LTE with 256 GB internal RAM. I flashed it with DBT-Firmware from sammobile and Odin. Now I use it rooted with Magisk and cts-fix with Android 10. I have read much here on XDA. But I´m no expert in this, I understand it in the moment I use it and then I forget the details. Also I changed years ago a Samsung S4 with Alexandres debloated Software.

No, you can't,it is very dangerous.. (possibly brick)
You can flash CSC only for your model or some "compatible" CSC for your device.(maybe "CSC"from another country)
Download from playstore the " PHONE INFO ☆SAM☆" application, and look there all compatible CSC for your device etc...
