Does miui use substratum? - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

So I found some substratum backups after I applied a theme but the substratum app doesn't work

Ignore the top zip, that was created when I downloaded substratum

Substratum legacy works but other than swift black, don't theme the android system. Per app theming works

I proudly present: ChameleoN Reloaded
Chameleon reloaded is the heavily modified framework, that makes it possible to change the theme by just flashing one small file you can edit yourself with the instructions from post 2. Normally you would have to theme/edit every single apk included to get it themed. I now redirected all those edits to this one single file, so you be able to change the theme by just editing the Chameleon_colors.txt . You can now easily create your own theme with just a few steps, only limit is your imagination
What can he do for you?
ChameleoN Reloaded is fully customizable:
* Almost unlimited posibilities:
-Set color for almost every icon
- Personal accent color
- Background color
- Font colors
- Set color for statusbar icons, battery, widgets, weather icons and digits, quick settings icons, etc
* 15 additional theme colors, you can already pick on the fly from Settings/Personalize/Change accent color
- Various mods in aroma installer:
* Material system icons
* Design options for dividers ,light, dark, glass or none and new switches by @mitchst2
* Mods to remove iconnames on homescreen and/or appdrawer
* ChameleoN got it's own Cool Boot/Down animations in Black or White, make sure to select in installer!
And Splashscreen (only for S-off!) seperate download Soon
also @luxandroid made this nice video giving you a peak at how it could look like on your device

here's an image of the ChameleoN_Colors.txt:
Download latest ChameleoN_Color_Changer
Find the ChameleoN_Colors.txt, make your edits and put it back in the zip. Flash it in recovery (only takes a minute) and you have your own personal theme. You can use any of the included themes in the original Theme AROMA installer as a template to create your own. You can find them in AROMA/Checkbox4 of the installer.
Finally got a nice image, explaining the most important colors you can edit in the ChameleoN_Colors.txt
Instructions for Version 1
How to make your own ChameleoN theme:
ChameleoN Reloaded is now fully customizable, with a maximum of only ten hex edits, your able to change:
- Personal accent color
- Background color
- All font colors
Download a hexeditor here: http://mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD
Download this zip: OriginalThemeChanger
Download the OriginalThemeChanger.zip, or one of the other themes, find the resources.arsc within the zip, and open the resource.arsc file with a hexeditor.
If you don't know hexcolors have a look here: http://www.color-hex.com
In the hexeditor we use those somewhat backwards! remember!
1)do a search for this hexnumber: 6198ae (this is actually hexcolor ae9861, notice, it's somewhat written backwards), the first hit ( move to line 0023C380) will be where we start editing, this will be your personal accent color, you will be able to find later in system/personalize/change accent color, and also controls the color of your widgets! see screenshots:
2)Also change all other hits for 6198ae ,there are 5 in lines:0023c470, 0023c5c0, 0023c7e0, 0023ca00, 0023cc20 , with your own hexcolor (written "backwards")
3)Now we move on to line 0023C530, here you find the background color, change it to your own ("backwards")
4) In line 0023C3E0 you find the primary font, and in line 0023C3F0 the secondary font (red in
default theme)
5) In line 0023C400 and 0023410 you'll find the primery and secondary font (yellow in default theme
6) line 0023C420 will be the font color used on buttons (purple in default theme)
7) line 0023C430, the font used for divider in menus (light blue in default theme)
8) line 0023C4E0 and 0023C4F0 are the font colors from disabled options
9) save your edited file, put it in the zip and flash from recovery
10)congrates, your fully themed
Have a look at what other users did with it:

Awesome thanks bro
This theme is brilliant! Been loving the IC rom, got the app today, updated to rev5 and now this beautiful theme! Everything I've looked at so far is beautiful, and really fits with the HTC tilt I was already running. The only thing I saw was the power menu with power off, restart etc is white so you can't read it...not a problem as everybody knows what those options are but thought I'd mention it. Thanks again, appreciate the hard work of the team

Probably missing some image, can you post a screen, so I see which part is missing?
Edit: did you install some other mod , they most likely break the theme..

Hi mate, don't have m9 either yet, but couldn't resist to make a port already. ?
small update:
Download: Dark ChameleoN 1.0.1 M9
Install instructions.: to have the htctheme store working, dirty Flash rom, picking next, next, next.. in installer. Reboot. try download a theme, if working, flash the theme. Htc probably use checksoms on some files which mess things up if theme is flashed directly after rom, or dirty flash theme...
changelog 1.0.1:
-Some bug fixes and images
-Powermanager fixed crashing
-apm menu improved
Enjoy!

Looks great, power menu fixed and using your tips I was able to log back in to HTC Themes and download a font just to test it out. Thanks again!
I'm getting the following error whenever I attempt to go into Settings after I flash the theme on IC 1.0.0.
No other mods installed, just a clean flash of Dark Chameleon over a clean install of IC.
I'm going to try dirty flashing the theme to see if that helps.
Edit: Dirty flash seems to have fixed it. On the dirty flash, I didn't choose "remove yes/no from switches" or to use the custom system icons, so that may have something to do with it. Maybe?
Glad to see my favorite theme is available on my new phone. Thanks for all your hard work.
Edit2: After testing and testing and testing, I'm 95% certain that it's "remove on/off" that's causing the error.

Thanks, you're right, I updated powermanager in latest release, but forgot to update the mod, will fix that.
edit: updated link in OP and previous release post of full theme, including fixed on/off mod. No need to flash full theme ,don't select any carrier, only select the mod in installer, saves a lot of boot time

What's Your OP3 Setup?

As with many here i'm always looking to try different rom's and mods to improve my experience with my phone. So to help me, anyone who's looking to change there phone or for the new owners looking for a good setup of their device, i ask you guys to share your setup such as:
Rom
Kernal
Theme (if applicable, maybe screens)
Could possibly include xposed modules or anything that majorly changes your user experience and battery life.
For me i currently have
Rom - Sultans CM
Kernal - Sultans
Theme - One i am creating (attachments)
Xposed - Shown in attachments
My setup:
- ROM: OrionOS
- GApps: OpenGApps Stock
- Kernel: Prebuilt kernel from OrionOS
- Root: Systemless, 2.78
- Recovery: Official TWRP, 3.0.2-1
- Xposed: Yes, system-mode (v86)
- Battery savers: Greenify (with donation package), Amplify, PowerNap, ForceDoze
- Sound mods: XTREMEMusic, system-mode, 7.5.9
- Other mods: AdAway
- Theme: Substratum, Magpie theme (Base dark with others_NexusRed Accent color for Android System)
- Launcher: Action 3 Launcher
- Icon pack: Candy Icons
I was on sultan's CM with nano gapps and his kernel and xposed and a CMTE theme and tons of mods, but the battery life wasn't better enough to justify it, the camera just isn't as good as stock, and the wake-up performance was still not ideal. now back to the stock with some mods
My setup:
- ROM: Stock Oxygen OS 3.2.6
- Kernel: stock OOS kernel
- Root: Systemless, 2.76magisk version
- Recovery: Official TWRP, 3.0.2-1
- Xposed: Yes, systemless mode (v86.5) mounted via Magisk
- Battery savers: Greenify (with donation package), Amplify (only limiting a few)
- Other mods: AdAway, DPI set to 430, CF.lumen (much better than stock OOS night mode and automatic)
- Theme: OOS dark theme, accent color set to red
- Launcher: Nova Launcher + Prime
- Icon pack: Polycon
stock kernel has the best performance i've seen, but the SoT isn't as good as I had previously. Perhaps it's Chrome (got 3.75hr SoT yesterday, chrome being higher than screen in usage for some reason).
My Setup:
ROM: FreedomOS 1.7 CE
KERNEL: Stock
RECOVERY: TWRP 3.0.2-19
LAUNCHER: Nova prime
ROOT: No
OTHER MODS: None.
My setup:
- ROM: OOS 3.2.6
- Kernel: ElementalX 0.23
- Root: Systemless, SuperSU 2.78-SR1
- Recovery: TWRP, 3.0.2-1
- Xposed: Systemless v86.2 - modules in attachment
- Other mods: AdAway(modified hosts), suhide, 420 DPI
- Launcher: Nova Prime
My Custom Setup:
ROM: OOS 3.2.6
Kernel: Stock but gonna flash ElementalX soon
Root: SuperSU 2.74
Recovery: TWRP By Grarak 3.0.2
Xposed V86
DPI to 440
Dark Theme
Stock Launcher with Polycon Icon Pack
My Setup:
ROM: Debloated OOS 3.2.6
KERNEL: ElementalX
RECOVERY: TWRP
LAUNCHER: Google Now launcher
ROOT: system
OTHER MODS: xPosed, Greenify, Amplify and of course dark mode with a red accent
Off topic: I've installed the dark wooden dbrand skin (can't remember the name ATM). That looks dope as hell)

It really isn't that hard. I watched Dbrands vid about the installment of the skin twice, and then applied the skin.
The only thing that is a bit tricky; are the corners, and I had to rub the corners A LOT before it smoothened out perfectly.
Hope that helped!
I love my skin so far, it makes the phone less slippery.
Excuse me for my English

(Oreo) Pixel 2 Mod

This is a Pixel 2 Mod that gives you a default Pixel rounded icon and Blue UI as well. This mod is an overlay and does not trigger the framework-res.apk.
Features:
- Default pixel rounded icon (use pixel launcher, lawnchair, or any other launcher that support this)
- ‎Blue UI
- ‎Blue Settings icon
- Dark theme (android 8.1 opp 5 extracted from pixel 2 vendor/overlay folder)
- ‎Works with substratum
- ‎It will disable NavBar by default but you can enable it.
Instructions:
- Flash it from TWRP and clear data of your launcher (it is recommended to clean flash the ROM on the first install)
- ‎Re-flash after every ROM update (just dirty flash)
Should work on any other 8.0.0 ROMs as well, since it was even taken from another device (please test and report)
Hi,
Sorry but you forgot to put the requirement.
Is that for Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-361F? 360F? 360H? Other?

is substratum compatible with A11 now?

Substratum is compatible almost (no 100%) but many themes don't support A11
For some Substratum is working fine, for some Substratum Lite is working fine and for some both are working fine.
For best, Use substratum and magisk together, all themes will be installed systemlessly as Substratum Magisk Module
My all themes-
Material Vivid OOS, PureBlack UI, Material Light OOS, and PureWhite UI are compatible with OOS 11
