Theme For Galaxy A7 A700FD 2015 - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Questions & Answe

Dear all!
I'm new user in xda-developers forum and it helped me a lot rooting my Galaxy A7 A700FD 2015 that I received from my mother's old mobile phone since my galaxy note2 died. Ayway, I rooted it because I waned to install xposed framework and install some modules to modify the whole device's layout.
What i was expecting I could change especially the blue/white layout greens buttons and other colors that hurts a lot my eyes in notification bar and around menus that is also boring. I searched for some apk or modules to change out theme as I wanted but no success.. so i tried to use launchers that is pretty cool but still limited( not going to buy a PRO version).
Sorry if i made another thread about this but im kinda bored with the system =/ and i looked hard into xda forum about what i want and i didnt see anything related with that.
Can someone help me with some apk or module to peform my changes?
Thanks all,
Regards

Xposed is not the best for customizing the design. You could try Substratum theme engine but I don't know if it works with MM and I doubt it will work correctly with any Samsung os version since Samsung does heavy modifications to the system. Does MM for the A5 2015 not include themes? Or is it still on LP?

My galaxy A7 2015 has only 4 themes when it is upgraded to mm & when I download new themes from the Xda, it will not shown in my themes section.

[Q] Can you only apply themes that are specifically built for the galaxy s?

Sorry Im a bit of a noob at this, but I've been wanting to apply the BuuF theme to my galaxy s. I know there is an ADW version of it but I want the full theme with status bar, notification bar etc to be replaced as well.
This theme is found in the Themes Android XDA forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=574139
It seems this theme can be applied to a few different ROMs and phones, but none that I know are available for this phone.
Just wondering can you only apply themes that have been built specifically for the phone / mod specified? I was reading up on this app called Metamorph which sounds like the app to do it, but sounds risky.
Thanks!
i didnt check if it was suited for galaxy S but i am pretty sure it is.. but..
u have to root your phone and since u state it yourself that u are a noob i suggest u better read in first on how to do that .
goodluck
thanks. yeah my phone is rooted already. i'll probably give this a go on the weekend then...

hey... this theme is created around oct 2009.. when samsung galaxy was yet to born.. and in that theme the menu style looks old style when u needed to drag the arrow to the top to open the menu... i am afraid this theme is not for samsung galaxy s..
and the procedure to apply the theme also doesn't looks like its for galaxy s.
anyways ... if you feel like giving it a try .. its totally your call
best of luck buddy
hehe yeah i had a feeling as such. thanks for the advice mate if I get any luck putting it successfuly on the galaxy s, I'll share it with everyone. perhaps I'll only use some of the theme and skip all the parts that dont fit with the style of this phone.
cheers

Amazing themes for S6 edge ports

These themes are made by @pas2001 they are made for the S6 edge but work great on my phone using the Dr's Rom the OP has asked that any issues or questions you have be kept in this thread to minimize any confusion on the other thread. I will be here as much as possible and Pas2001 will check in time to time but has a lot on the go. Most of the themes are Marvel but have a few DC Hero's themes as well
To show the quality of the themes I have posted screen shots of The Batman-Superman theme in the thread
Ok so lets get started three step process
1) DOWNLOAD BASE THEME
2) APPLY THEME VERY IMPORTANT otherwise it won't work
3) FLASH Pas2001'S THEME
You can switch back and forth after you have flashed the theme over the base UNLESS they both use the same base theme
Now the moment you all have been waiting for here they are http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/themes-apps/avengers-theme-individual-mode-t3140647
The status bar is mine yours won't be the same but ya he even themes the status bar
Make sure you spank his thanks button
Thank so much friend. You right I will often visit here as I can.

delete the theme before you go into /data/app and erase everything that says gold unless you have the other gold theme in it I just factory reset my phone figure its the easiest way

So can you tell me if, with this theme, everything gets themed? not like the galaxy s6 themes that theme half the rom, like theres a lot of stuff like in call ui and menus that stay stock green and with the rest of the other pastel colors.

These are based on the s6 themes you just flash over them and no the incallUI is not themed he might of updated I am using stock 5.1.1 as right now as the Drs rom doesn't play nice with 5.1.1 base or so I have read which rom are you on
Oh well am still running 5.0.1 stock rom from mega, because of the avaible full themes from foreverloco, but I did try Dr Keatans galaxy s6 rom, the themes look great, but those themes leave a lot from the rom unthemed.

Substratum with no Root!

I know it might still have a few bugs but so far for the most part it's working great! In addition for substratum to work you need to download an Add on.
Test it out and let us know what themes are working! So far I'm using Swift dark
( Please read carefully how it get it to work)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.sungstratum
Yeah I just got mine setup today with Swift Black! My advice is to make sure you do one app at a time. Some apps I had to try a few times for some reason. Also, I've found that at least Swift Black did not theme beta versions of apps.
What is the purpose of this app, if you dont mind my lack of knowledge?
How to run substatrum without root on marshmallow?
Does this only work on Samsung or all non root devices?

It lets you use substratum themes on completely stock Samsungs devices.
Substratum with this MOBILE_QF6_Hybrid_Nougat_Rom_FlashFire_Install][Status Official For TMO]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/development
Is everything we can dream and the best we will get. With the s8 and note 8 our development is pretty much done
Anyway to make the notifications black and text white?
i used substratum with my s7 edge, for the short time that I had the phone (may its circuits rest in peace) and i loved it! i use it with my s8 now.

AOD Themes, Clocks and Options

Hey guys, I got my a7 2017 for over 3 months now, and I'm pretty happy with performance and battery life. But my problem is, that the always on display feature is very reduced. You get 2 types of clocks, 1 calendar, and no option for image or downloading themes. I tried downloading the s8 and apk, but I get an error message that says there's another package with the same name, even with the reboot and very quickly installing it, with no success. Themes in the theme store that include aod's are very limited l, as well as third-party-apps. I know I could do those things without problems with root, but that's not an option for me, since I don't want to lose the warranty. If anyone can help by putting any solutions like the s8 theme store or a link to download themes externally, it would be very much appreciated.
even after changed the build.prop to be S8+, i still can't see AOD Themes Section. How could you get that option?

u must put the .apk file in /system/, and replace it with rw-r--r-- permission.
and of course you have to root your phone first to do that.
AOD Themes on Theme Store feature is a line on floating_features.xml
u need to downgrade aod https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series-2017/themes/downgrade-display-themes-t3609938 but on nougat u get more themes anyway

Has anyone tried Substratum w/Andromeda plugin after Oreo update?

Well, that's the question. I'm gathering some credits trough Google Rewards and i'm pretty interested in buying the Substratum extension made for Android Oreo. But first i want to know if someone has tried the app in this phone to avoid some useless purchase. Something that i miss from my old Moto X Style is the customization. I could root this thing to do it without any plugin but so far i'm not interested in rooting and all that.

I didn't find any replacements..
I think if You dont wanna root Your phone You should buy Andromeda rootless backend - support devs, because it works.
I'm currenly using the Andromeda... It does work but with some errors n doesn't work well with all themes...
I've got something to show..
Thanks guys. I'll buy it anytime soon then.
I have been using it on 0.8 Verizon edition with no probs, sais oreo theme is a pretty good dark theme.
I am using it. Everything was working until the most recent security update for oreo. Although it may have been me updating my theme, which i did after the security update.
I can't stand all the ads on this phone. Ugh.
I use it with stock Oreo 8.0.0. No issues.
Black theme (forgot the name but it is the most popular one) is nice for the notification bar and settings menu.
Which theme is that?

Its working fine, I'm experiencing no lags.
Black looks beautiful and being AMOLED saves battery also.
Notification issue
The Default Dark Theme works except for some notifications that keep having dark text on dark background (see first notification on the attached image). Is there any way to fix that? My device is not rooted.

I am currently using a pitch black theme that is called Sai's Oreo Theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=baka.sai.oreo&hl=en
I`ve been using Default Dark from F-Droid. Basically switches the Phones/Contacts/Settings/QSettings etc to dark.
The app has one annoyance to it cause you got to connect the phone to the pc if you want to use substratum.
The good stuff is that applied theme survives reboot, so it`s not so bad in the end.
