I agree. If LG G6 came out with SD 835 then it would be a whole different game. But LG G6 is with SD 821 vs. HTC 10 SD 820. Pretty much same thing.

What about screen and camera?
Sent from my Black Leather Htc 10

I have both and I'm sticking with the 10. I bought a G6 for $350 from Craigslist, and even at that price, it's not worth keeping. The only thing the G6 has going for it is the design, but then if you care that much about the design, buy the Galaxy S8.
Daylight pictures taken from both phones are about the same to my eyes. The G6 has that wide angle lens which is super cool and useful, but the HTC 10 is faster to focus in low light and takes better selfies.
Pros for G6:
- Gorgeous design
- Wide angle camera.
- Slightly longer battery and SOT
- Nicer screen
Pros for 10:
- Even on stock ROM, the 10 feels 10 times snappier than the G6.
- Better low light pictures
- Better selfies
- Bootloader can be unlocked and lots of custom ROMs. Not sure which variant of the G6 you can buy but here in the US, the G6's bootloader cannot be unlocked. The 2-SIM variant (HD870DS) also doesn't have an unlockable bootloader
- Superior headphone audio quality. If you're at all serious about listening to music, stay away from the G6.
- Superior speakers
- Brighter screen and easier to see in sunlight.
- Cheaper

M9, S6, N6 or G4? What should I buy?

Which one should I buy?
Really like the front speakers from HTC and Nexus 6. But dont know what is the best choice overall.
Here in my country the price of them are very similar.
Thanks.
If you are looking for a crack-flasher phone with no bugs on custom ROMs, Nexus is the way to go. If you want a nice audio experience, M9 it is. If you want a DSLR-like camera, G4 is your weapon. And if you want the more mainstream, less dev friendly but overall awesome device, GS6!

My last phones were Moto X and HTC M8.
I loved them both.
Moto X had a horrible battery life, and I gave it to my wife, that was in need of a phone.
My M8 was perfect, but I though that, as the Moto X, had a bad camera... Really smooth, excelent battery life, and a nice front speaker. I forgot my M8 on the top of my car, while I was putting my baggage on it.
I saw S6 and G4 on the store. Pretty nice phones, but I dont know if the their android will keep smooth after installing my stuff like it was on M8 or Moto X.
G4 has a nice camera. I like cameraphones (had also a Nokia 808, before). But when I travel, I always take my dSLR with me. G4 would be a nice pocket cam, but doesnt have front speakers (I always watch ytube videos and use loudspeaker for calls - like to have my hands free while in my workdesk).
My first smartphone was a Galaxy S1, and my wife has a tablet Note 2014. Im a bit traumatized with touchwiz. Too laggy. Before I bought them both, they looked awesome and smooth on the store. I felt a bit tricked by Samsung, and never bought nothing else from them after these products.
Nexus looks like a big Moto X. Better battery life, better camera, but its a bit huge, and its not 64bits (I think it may have a lesser longevity cause of that than the others). Probably, its smooth, and it has front speakers as well.
Im really tempted to buy M9, but the all the reviews tell that its camera is worse than the M8 camera, and its front speakers is also worse than those from M8's. Dunno If its battery life is better or worse (can anyone tell me?) than M8's battery. Also, dunno if, after installing some apps, it keeps smooth and quick as M8 (can anyone tell me about this, too?).
Really in doubt about what to buy. My friend told me to take a look on Sony Z3, and my other friend told me to keep waiting for the incoming gadgets (but Im without any smartphone, bad bad ).
Help.

If you're upgrading from M8, be prepared for the differences to be very subtle. I did this but was expecting basically the same phone only with some minor/under the hood improvements. And this is exactly what the M9 is. I loved the M8 and I love the M9 more, but it's probably only about a 10% improvement.
What carrier are you on? If your carrier doesn't already have a direct path to the 2.X firmware, I'd either get the developer edition or budget an extra $25 to obtain S-off. I'm att and couldn't imagine having to wait for them to give me an update. I think they finally pushed lollipop to the M8 in freaking March or April.

The M8 is at least $300 on eBay so its half the price of the high end right now. I'd tell you to go get another M8 and save some money. Comparing it to the M9, the M8 has better battery life with a much more battery efficient processor that keeps the phone relatively cool. The performance difference between the S801 and S810 is negligible, you're just not likely to notice. Daylight shots should be better on the M9 whereas night shots are better with the M8. Speakers are somewhat better, Dolby surround stuff is pretty nice. In terms of development M8 is leagues better right now. I'd highly recommend skipping this generation and waiting for the new Nexus, HTC Hero device coming later this year, or the M10 next year.
There also a noticeable difference between the M8s screen and the M9s. If you liked the M8s you might not like the M9s.
All these flagships are pretty nice, and all of them have possible problems:
-S6: Pink tint on white, Board traces under sunlight, exploding battery, illogical TW
-M9: Screen wake lag (will be fixed by OTA), QC 2.0 that not always work, cracked camera glass (though still a minority)
-G4: Touchscreen issue (could be fixable by OTA), leather backs can loose color quite fast, huge lack of roms
On the good sides:
-S6: Very good camera both low light and daylight, gorgeous screen (when you don't have the listed faults)
-M9: Gorgeous camera in daylight (RAW) , Superb music, Fastest UI ever, quality Roms, best UI and apps (Sense 7)
-G4: Gorgeous screen, Superb camera in both daylight and low light, faster UI than S6
All of the 3 have advantages and cons, now see which one fits you better!
For example if you prefer larger screen the G4 is more suitable

Thanks, guys!
Im in Brazil.
Here, the price are:
- M9 US$750
- G4 US$700
- S6 US$700
- N6 US$700
- Note 4 US$650
- M8 US$600
- Z3 US$600
- Z3C US$450
- Moto X US$400
If I could, I would wait for the next gen from HTC (the one named Hero).
But Im without any smartphone right now.
Id like to buy something that could lasts for the next 2 years.
Still, hasnt decided, yet. Have to make this until the next weekend.
I'd get the M8 over the M9. If you're bored with HTC phones then maybe try the Z3 compact. Battery life on that is supposed to be amazing. Not sure about anything else with the compact though.

Lg g5 vs htc 10... Evidently no contest

I admit that initially I was expecting the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to be the best phone out there. However when we ran into the bootloader issue and more news about the LG G5 came out I was definitely attracted to the possibility of having the LG G5 and a better product possibly than made by Samsung. The rumors and upcoming details about the HTC 10 phone were also in the back of my mind. However after reading the below article I think that we have all made a very wise decision.
http://www.cnet.com/products/htc-10-review/
Going to end up like M9
They just can't get over the hurdle
I'd take the 10 over the G5 any day, but to each his own.

What issues are you having with your G5?
After reading the review I am glad I bought the G5 as there is really very little difference between the phones in the review. I have had HTC in the past as well as Motorola and will buy neither again. My last 4 phones have been LG and I loved them all.
have to say, having both the S7 Edge (exynos) and the LG G5, i actually prefer the LG. It's just as fast and the headphone quality much better.
Other than the fact that I love a Super AMOLED screen such as on the S7 Edge I will have to say that between the three top phones out today the G5 to me is the best. However I must admit that the LCD screen on the G5 is quite excellent for what it represents in LCD technology. It's definitely the best LCD screen on a phone that I've seen. However like I said before tell me the perfect G5 would have been if it came with a Super AMOLED screen.
IMHO, most of it's subjective..
Especially sicne G5 still has no root, and the 10 looks like it will almost out of the starting gate. For me, root's more important than friggin' benchmarks, or camera quality, etc.
Removable battery, on screen buttons, solid camera (as good as or better than my s6e), and the potential for AOSP ROMs: I'm happy with my choice. Looking forward to the 360 cam and my extra battery and charging cradle!
I am not at all excited for the HTC 10 or any other HTC product for that matter. To me they are very close to being irrelevant at all.
Right now I dont anticipate finding anything to replace my G5 until maybe the Fall LG release (whatever comes after the LG V10). The phone has its flaws in the build quality, but there is nothing horrible & the phone has a ton going for it. Overall I am happy with it, much more so then I was with my S7 (though the s7 form factor was better in my opinion).
HTC will always have a place in my heart and I hope they do well with the 10, for the markets sake. However, the lg g5, in my opinion is excellent. The quality of the screen, build(I don't have any problems that others might have) the ability to easily replace a battery, the modular design with actual modular items that are functional, and the camera(as a parent fast reliable cameras are a must) and lastly, lg sticking with a micro sd to go along with the great camera. The HTC 10 will have superior sound production and might have better antennas which the HTC m9 gave me the best reception of any phone I've ever owned. The lg g5 has faired excellent in that department. Unfortunately for htc, I will be sticking with the lg g5(for now)?
Not impressed with the G5
I am definitely not impressed with the G5 and if the HTC 10 was out a bit earlier I would have gotten it over the G5. I have light bleed along the bottom of my screen over to the bottom right, poor audio quality (since I won't be getting the DAC since I live in the states), the battery dies quickly, I can look right through the gap between the module and the phone, and the bump for the camera is also hideous. With all that being said it was definitely a better buy over the Galaxy S7. The S7 sounds worse through headphones according to some(I can't believe that's actually possible), No removable battery, and a crappy loud speaker. If only the V10 had shipped with the 810...
My G5 is flawless. Sound is great. Display is great. Perfect construction.
Other people have different opinions it would seem:

I'm still more than happy with my G5. Feels light years better than my s6e.

The on screen buttons HTC has adopted is a deal breaker for me. Also, I'm a huge fan of the camera features on the G5 along with the added super wide lens, and the ir blaster, the list goes on.. It's more of the full package for me.. Can you tell I love this phone
A good read for those all in with the G5.
http://m.androidcentral.com/love-letter-lg-g5s-wide-angle-camera
I had issues with my first G5, when I put in an SD card, it wouldn't recognize the SIM card OR the SD card, when I got my second one it had a small burn in with the bottom right corner in the LCD, so on the third one I like it, I've got my spare battery and charger on the way and so far... so good. I got it for the modularity as I'm a HUGE fan of Project Ara and Puzzlephone and if a manufacturer is going to support modularity (even in a micro fashion) I want to support them. Plus since the LG Thrill (Last LG phone I've had), they've come SO far with their software... it's not even funny there.
So far with the 10d update all is perfect on my 2 G5s. Very happy with them.

[Q] Moto X Pure/Style vs OnePlus 3

Hi Guys,
I have a Moto X Pure/Style EU version.
I see many of you have ditched this device for OP3
The only reasons I have not switched to OP3 yet is because MXP has a quad-hd screen and dual speakers.
Can someone please compare the speaker quality and sound from headphones (also bluetooth headphones, if possible) with that of OP3?
How is the camera compared to that of MXP? MXP has a 21MP camera and OP3 has only 16MP. I read somewhere that OP2's camera was better than OP3s.
MXP's front camera has a wide angle lens and takes very descent selfies, not sure how the 8MP OP3's camera fares against MXP's

mxp is better in speaker quality ..i had both...cameras are comparable...display is better on mxp but op3 rocks in performance.,.it is almost twice as fast and is beast...but advantage of mxp is you get timely updates from moto...may be n is already around the corner when n is released...so if you are thinking for sound quality and speakers keep moto(this does not mean op3 had bad speakers or sound...but mxp has better...)
I have both and will be selling my MXP in the coming days.
Headphone sound is much better on the OP and speaker quality is the same if not better on the OP but you have to cup your hand.
The cameras are similar but the sensors and/or software make photos on the OP better.
The only differences I can notice in the screens is that blacks are more true on the OP and it's slightly easier to see in sunlight.
The only feature that the MXP takes hands down is expandable storage.
Having both phones I think the external speakers on the MXP sounds better but the OP3 sounds better on my headphones.
My OnePlus one performed better than mxp. Speaker and external SD will be missed. Never had speaker all the way up anyways. Changed display to 1080 as well. Not sure what's the big deal with qHD? Other than Sucking battery, didn't do anything for me. One+3 blows motoXP out of the water. Still might be too early to tell, but initial review for me says one+3 all the way.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Wow. You guys are tempting me to sell my MXP and buy OP3
Camera and multimedia experience is very important to me.
It seems from your reviews that camera and sound from headphones are better in OP3. Even battery life seems to be better. I wish Oneplus releases an OP3 Pro with sdcard, front facing speakers, a sound DAC, finger print reader on the side making the size smaller, ans IR blaster, and 4000+ MAh battery to support a qHD display. Well! That's a dream.
I was the Moto x pure as well and switched as soon as this thing came out. So far, the 1080p is no different as far as quality compared to the Moto x. Speaker quality is the same but mono. Camera is much better in my opinion. Over performance, stock v stock, the OP3 wins IMO. The OP3 is my ideal phone in all honesty. It has everything I want and is amazing to look at.
The OP3 is an upgrade in almost every way from the Moto X. My only real complaint is that both phones are almost exactly the same size (height and width, not depth) but the Moto X manages to get dual front-facing speakers and a 5.7" screen. Another difference most will point out is the resolution, but honestly if I was building my perfect phone I would choose a 1080p display. Holding the Moto X and OP3 next to each other I honestly can't tell the difference, and I'll take the better battery life and performance a 1080p screen provides over the negligible bump in clarity from a quad hd.
In every other category the OP3 is a direct upgrade. Faster, more efficient processor, lightning-fast fingerprint reader, better battery life, and very fast charging. And I'm psyched to see how much developer support the device has already.
Edit: Woohoo, one hundred posts! ^^
How is this even a comparison? A phone that is 6month old+ vs one that came out a week ago.
MXP has a nice screens, speaker and micro-SD that's about it. It was good phone but not even better than OP2.
The MXP 5.7" screen is cut off by the soft keys, I can't stand all these big phones that uses soft keys and eats away the screen. It is technically 5.5" without the row of soft keys.
If one cannot afford the OP3, get the OP2 over the MXP.
The 21Meg camera is ok, it's very washed out in day light and night shots are no good.
Moto x pure... are you kidding me. Speaker and sd slot. That's it. Period. Feel on hand is night and day. I will say, without case, motoXP has much better curve feel when holding, but specs should tell you to stay away from motoXP. Screen is nice, but again might want to change the DPI to save battery. I had to take out moto apps, dtw, and anything else to ensure battery doesn't drain on moto. But OnePlus, I just leave it. Maybe dark mode. That's it. IMHO, two phones provide different user experience fosho.

Dont forget moto x pure has been out for awhile and gotten No development compare to op3. Battery life super sucks even with custom Roms n kernel. Pure was alright to me until op3 came out. If your Ok with little heater and recharging more often, go with pure. I'm pretty certain everyone else who came from pure to op3 feels the same.

Moto Z Play or Lg G5

Fellow Moto Z Play users.
I'm an owner of g3, thats looping in the boot....
I dont trust lg anymore.... G2 screen burns, g3 cracked cases and heat related issue, g4 bootloop and g5 ghosting burn ins
So i today i'm ordering my phone. I want to make sure device wont get defects... Lg g5 with us warrsnty is 400usd.
Moto z play is 450USD.
Lg g5 is cheaper, yet has a better camera and better cpu gpu.
Moto z play has a better batterylife, britgher screen, lower performance, better perceived quality by me(we had 2 of moto g, both didnt have any issues).
How good pr bad the moto play z cam?
Is it bad in bad light. PLEASE help me. I dont want to go over 400 usd. I would buy axon 7 but the cam made me like no.
But if axon 7 and moto play z has the same cam or similar performancr. I will go with zte axon 7. For the performance and design also qhd display and priced 350 usd
I have had zero issues with low light pics taken with my z, and I've had some very good phones in the past (Sammy, HTC). The low light pics can be a bit grainy, and that's where the z play does struggle, but honestly it isn't as big of a deal as some reviews have stated.
Personally having slightly less sharp low light pics, which is rare, is a small trade off to the awesome battery and moto ui. I just got sick of charging my phone 2-3 times a day, and having high end specs meant less and less to me. This phone is a beast all around, it'll be hard to eventually replace it
I am coming from a Note 4 the camera of the Z play is better. It misses only the OIS. But this helps only for free hand low light images. LG may be slightly better in low light because of the better aperture and the OIS. But it won't be that big difference as all the reviews let you think. I would not expect any differences in daylight.
My friend has a G5 and wants my Z play.

The Axon 7's camera is better than the Z Play's - at least on paper - not by much, but OIS may help it win the upper hand. Both are capable of excellent, current flagship quality daylight shots. The Z Play has better post processing and overall the better software and I personally prefer the Z Play's daylight shots, but both are good - neither is great in low light, the Z Play creates more blurry pictures more frequently due to lack of OIS, the Axon 7 has OIS but worse software and post-processing and creates more over- or underexposed pictures. Since bad exposure ruins pictures less than blurriness, I'd say it wins the duel but only by a hair.
While the Moto Z Play has an excellent, loud and crisp front facing mono speaker and generally great audio quality, the Axon 7 blows it and just about any other phone out of the water with its front facing, Dolby ATMOS enabled speakers.
In many other ways, the Axon 7 is superior to the Z Play only on paper. The SD 820 is faster on paper, but runs hotter and is much more power hunger than the Z Play's SD 625 - the real life performance difference between the two is almost imperceptible in everything but VR and hardcore 3D gaming.
Battery life is no contest, with the Axon 7 being pretty average and the Z Play essentially defining a new standard and effectively lasting twice as long.
Both have excellent displays, with the Axon 7's QHD mostly shining when it comes to VR, but again, difference during regular use is mostly negligible.
Where it all falls down is software and reliability. The software experience on the Z Play is nearly perfect, with an incredibly stable, smooth and near stock experience enhanced only by actually worthwhile features. It also comes with absolutely superior reception, be that WiFi, mobile, GPS or even bluetooth. It's always fast, never overheats and is as reliable as a phone can possibly be. It also comes with relatively fast Android updates and long software support.
ZTE's phone comes with a questionable at best custom UI, crippled stock features, buggy software, an insane amount of bloat and ZTE has a history of abandoning software support for their phones almost instantly, even for their former flagships. The Axon 7 is better than anything they have made before so this may change, but I personally wouldn't rely on that "maybe".
Honestly, ZTE's software overall software experience should be prohibitive at this point. Get a OnePlus 3T instead or, well, get the Z Play - an utterly brilliant phone in everything but overall camera performance (where it is merely good but not great).
If camera trumps all, go for the G5, but you should already be aware of LG's build quality issues - that hasn't changed with the G5 by most accounts.

Lg g7 Vs Oneplus 6

Hi everyone!
I need to buy a new phone but I'm stuck on choosing between this two phones, LG G7 (for 300€) or Oneplus 6 (for 400€).
I kindly ask you which one is better overall. The only two things I care more are camera quality and software updates.
Thanks for your help!
If you care about software, geet thee oneplus 6.
Camera on the LG g2/g4 is beter then this one..
Software updates sux on LG....
But over all I would have chosen lg g7..
I think the lg g7 is way better than oneplus 6. G7 is a military grade phone. It have ip 68 rating oneplus 6 don't have this. Lg g7 cameras are good too plus u get the second camera as the ultra-wide camera. In my opinion g7 is the best choice
I used to have Oneplus 6 an now Im owning G7.
I prefer G7 - easier to hold it in one hand, wide angle camera and the most important for me is headphne jack with QuadDac.
software updates, customization, forum support is much better for Oneplus.
no matter what you chose, you'll be happy
G7.. Even at full prices. At current prices, no brainer.
Had a 6T prefer the G7. Little things like the vibration motor makes a world of a difference in quality feel for me and the excellent manual mode in the camera. Also G7 feels more solid in build quality and looks sexy as hell in real life. Pictures don't do it justice.
G7 - Better build quality, a better vibration motor, Quad-Dac, Boombox speaker, wide-angle.
6T- Fastest Updates, clean software, the better primary camera then G7, community support, AMOLED, bigger battery.
If you don't care about Quad-Dac, better vibration motor, and a better quality bottom speaker then go with OnePlus 6T.
No wireless charging = no purchase. I also use the headphone jack a lot... even though I yearn for the 6/6T. The G7 was/is the right phone for me.
For me,the Boom Box feature is the main factor to pick the G7..
What if a phone without sd support crash? Can you get into the memory to get your backup? I was happy once I unlucky damaged my phone with broken usb cable, it was unreadable at my computer. but i could recover all files lucky enough and pictures. I don't buy any phone that not support a sd card for that. Don't forget this is the most bright screen of all,one of the better single bottom speakerand and ip 68.

@zaragon567 , where did you see the G7 for 300 EUR? I just paid over 400 and thought I got a pretty good deal, but I think I can return it within 2 weeks...
