LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

It is official, just an alpha build at the moment.
Everything works fine as far as I can tell. Only DSP Manager crashes when I try to open it.
Looking forward to seeing this getting picked up by the OmniROM official nightlies.

Yea, I need to add the libraries to the audio_effects file that DSPManager relies on. I have been focusing on getting the ROM base up to android-7.0.0_r1 lately, and nothing can be done for any non-nexus devices until CAF releases its magic. At the present time, Omni's source yields successful builds, although untested.
Waiting ... Thanks great work op

Your work is incredibly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Mobile data should be working now..just need to fix wifi, bt, nfc
Wifi should no longer be a module by release
When you make the nougat update, will you make a new thread, or update this one?
OP updated with a link to an android-7.0 test build (and, from what I can tell, the first Nougat build for Robin available ANYWHERE! )
DOWNLOAD HERE
You must flash the 1450 stock firmware to get the updated partitions on your device prior to flashing this.
I recommend using OpenGapps (package of your choosing)
What's still broken:
- Camera will force-close when you try to zoom in
- Camcorder is actually recording the "recording start" tone
- I think GPS is flaky (haven't tested it)
- Wifi Calling (it doesn't work on stock 1450 either)
- Probably some other stuff I haven't noticed yet
These are mainly minor annoyances that I will fix in the next day or so.
Notable changes:
- This is using my [new] kernel, not based on CyanogenMod's kernel whatsoever.
- The device tree is an ugly hybrid derived from the CyanogenMod tree. I will eventually roll into my own device tree when I have the energy to do so
- Wifi is no longer a module, but a built-in kernel driver (qcacld-2.0 wlan, like the Nexus 5X)

Great! thanks. but it can't work camera. not only zoom. And crash DSP Manager.
Great job. Very smooth. Will report anything I find.

you can use third party apps like titanium backup or similar to backup your stuff to internal storage, then restore it once you're on LOS15.

So the bugs and the quality are the same like los 15.1

Pls apply this fix like in the 3.8 version! People like me with sony lenses cant use trhis rom due the crap images taken by third party apps!
Could someone tell me how to do either of the two following things in this rom:
Force 3-dot menu button in apps
or
Change the functions of the multitasking button
I can't seem to find a setting for either and this makes some apps almost unusable (most importantly to me, Titanium Backup)

Keep the good work up bro ?
Need working sony cam
here is the log

Okay i thought i will share something worthwhile.
Tried almost all the roms uploaded in the last 2 months. Till then first RR was my daily driver. But all were missing some things here and there. Most probably because most of them were port roms and the base is not yet stable.
But have to say, DOT os is perfect, even more than RR. With all the fixes it will be a good daily driver.
It's smooth, fast, has all the essential customization options, an option for system app themes and a nice ui and some awsome inhouse wallpaper collection, mobile data working.
For i9301i
*flash rom
*flash gapps if needed
*flash ril and cam fix for i9301i attached with this post.
*if sony sensor flash the kill camera process fix from below androidfilehost link.
*flash magisk zip
*setup the os and download build prop editor and set ro.build.type=userdebug and reboot.
If i9300i
*flash rom and gapps
*if samsung sensor, flash the ril and cam fix for i9301i, else leave this step
*flash ril fix for i9300i from below fix link (have to flash this for both sony and samsung sensors irrespective of above step) (build.prop already edited to usersebug in the fix)
*if sony sensor flash kill camera process fix from below fix link
*flash magisk zip if root needed
*Done

Fix link: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=260364
Have been using dot os as daily driver for 2 weeks now. So i thought i will share this in the thread too.
Note: if you experience lock screen freezes flash the boot image from the above fix link too.

The fix released today works with dot os too. But a userdebug build may follow when he gets time. But still it works flawlessly. And for gps, we haven't exactly looked into it till now as the whole focus was on cam. He will look into it too when he gets some free time.

After turning off the screen, the buttons are pressed, vibration! Very hot screen, installed Kernel Adiutor, lowered the frequency of the processor (ineractive) did not help! During the call, after the screen is extinguished, the applications are clicked with your ear! GT-I9300i Galaxy S III Duos
Over night, it took 14% of the battery, it's a lot! On 5.1 it took 5-6%, bad autonomy! It is worth Kernel Adiutor, Greenify.

It will get better when a userdebug build is made.
There is no translation in the settings! Russian language .
Looking forward to a userdebug, complete and optimized build.
I'm currently running an old build of RR, but since I've been using this as my secondary device my main focus is smoothness and battery life so I was just searching for something AOSP based.
So, thanks in advance to everyone who has worked and/or is still working on this.
Do i download gapps for 7.0 or 7.1

But it's better to wait for the next fixed update.
Is a new build including all fixes and polishing actually planned?
Yes
Any updates coming?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

will Jio Volte work on this?
Running good on the Chinese version with the exception of a couple reboots.
On a side note, is there a tap to wake feature in this ROM?
