Front glass needs special care and attention. It is not strong enough to withstand even medium jerks. Invest in some good quality case and screen protector to be on safe side.

Lots of scratches appears on camera lens. I think its very fragile. Any idea how to replace a scratched camera lens..?

Buy another camera lens on Aliexpress. It's easy to replace...

I honestly feel the zuk z1 had a superior built quality...I had been thrown into the pool with the phone ones and didn't have any problems even after that... I did get out fairly quickly but still,
And also I used the z1 for almost 3 yrs.. I sold that for 5k on olx and brought this for 5k... The speaker output is not as good as zuk z1 and I think the zuk z1 had DAC which is absent in zuk z2 ..I maybe wrong , please correct me if I'm

Questions regarding the structural frame
Hey guys, pleasure to meet you all here.
I have a question.
Did anyone see a teardown of ZUK Z2? It seems to me that the mid-frame is entirely made of plastic, which is kind of concerning since with just a drop would damage it entirely.
If anyone would be able to share their experience opening their ZUK Z2, I would love to hear from you guys.

Not really a XZL2 in my opinion. Huge bezel compared to the XZL and water resistant.

Its on the site of Sony Japan to (Sony Website)
Well I meant it does not continue the spirit of the XZL. The XZL omitted the IP ratings of Sonys flagship device and focused instead on the screen to body ratio. At that time the lack of IP rating allowed the ZL to also have a camera button and an IR blaster (even though the Japanese XZ had also one).
This one is way closer to the XZ2 screen to body ratio than the XZL. For comparison would the screen to body ratio the same as the XZL the XZL2 would have to feature a 5.2" screen. Maybe it is a mistake and the XZL2 features a 5.2" screen, then the name would make sense.
Yep it's more like ZR2.
Tbh, it's way too thick. ZL is already pretty thick.
It's wider than the Z and 3mm (!!!) thicker!!
I think they should just make the Z2 with smaller bezels and ZL backside and be done with it.

And IR blaster please, this thing is pretty useful.
To give a little bit of reference, the ZL2 is roughly 6mm taller and 3mm wider.
Translates to roughly just under a quarter of an inch taller(about 1/8" more bezel top and bottom) and an eighth of an inch wider(about 1/16" more bezel on the sides)
Doesn't seem that big of a difference to me, and the benefit is same specs as a Z2?
Only downside I'm seeing is that there's no red, and no IR blaster.
What actually bothers me about this is not the size of it, but the styling of it. It looks so much more plastic-y from the back and sides, our ZL feels like it has a bit more class to it, what with the black outline trim and smoother slope on the back.
The ZR2 just looks so much more like a toy than anything...
Looks too big.... the size of my ZL is the max size 5" I will ever buy.... I would say though, I would have liked the ZL to be a mm or 2 thicker, too thin for my liking.... but the Incipio Case gives it a nice thickness .... Too bad Sony didn't strive to make the ZL2 bezels smaller than the ZL...... oh well, maybe in a couple of years, tech will allow for much smaller bezels......
Do anyone knows how to unlock ZL2 it is locked by au. I will really appreciate your help guys. Thanks

Z3 Camera

Hi peeps,
I am not sure about you guys, but I am very happy abt Z3 camera and its features, I came from Z1 and the camera is good too!
I notice some did mention or some of my friends saying Sony camera suck and that the Z3 camera is not as good as samsung s3 or other brands bah bah bah....
But I asked, what Sony phones are you conparing with and what are the camera or display settings of the Z3 phones. Then I reliased the following issues
1) Some are using Xperia Z ultra to compare with Samsung S3. Z ultra only have 8 MP and no ISO settings so if u want to use a mid range camera to fight with a higher range phone who will lose out? Just like I used a 20MP Z3 with the same setting I will surely win...
He also mention the Z ultra camera pic cannot tell the color difference between white and yellowish white but when I took the same pic, with my Z3, he was shocked....
2) Z3 camera by default has set to 8/15 MP for 16:9. So the pic is not the best yet. You need to change the settings....
3) Off the HDR & Display Enhencment settings, u will see a better quality photo on screen and on PC...
4) If you are using matt, anti finger print or privacy screen protectors, please dont even bother to complain abt the screen quality.... You are using a few dollar to cover up 100 dollar stuff...
5) Only a few case is factory defects which need u to send out for repairs... Nothing is perfect just that u are the few unlucky ones to get a defected product...
Oh man, please check where are posting, this forum about Sony smartWATCH 3, not about xperia z3.
and as a z3 owner (and z ultra by chance) I dont even know where to start with the actual content..

You are off topic here, should move to z3 board. This is a general problem we've heard many times on net. From my personal experiences, the answer is mixed. Overall, I would say Sony camera sometimes can be very good but in some situation it can be very bad. On the other hand, Samsung, HTC the camera performance is more consistent and most people prefer a stable camera(so most guys said iphone camera the best).
Sony camera generally poor on focus in my degrees of view while the quality can be very good when it can manage to get the focus right which is very annoy for most guys. Plus the Sony camera always compressed the image too much, in some photo when the object/environment is hard to compress, it will just lost the fight for Samsung which is a very clear answer.

The only negative point (in most aluminium/metal smartphones used to be) is buttons rocker (volume and power). I talked with the official chat and they answered me is normal. But with 2 years guarantee don't worry me.
Not sure where to post this... How is the GPS on this phone?

My previoue Moto X pure had better material quality...
Op3t good also but i don't like aluminium material ...so i use spigen case new hybrid and its ok now
The buttons on my 3 felt more sturdy than the black 3T. I wonder if it is because of the paint. Not sure. Either way, it is built extraordinarily well and easily exceeds most other phones in terms of quality.

It's great, no issues. Works like any other phone would
A couple of problems, but not deal-breakers:
1. Weak vibration feedback
2. Speaker a little weak, easily gets overdriven, could break if always used in full volume
Highest quality ever experienced, nothing more to say
The power button and volume rocker are little clumsly and loose , i hate that but i love the tactile feedback they give upon pressing.
Overall good built quality
My black 3T has small dents/scratches running across the top of it, the paint is chipping off on the top edge a bit. I've taken good care of the phone, it looks like something might have been trying to eat it... Lol...
Otherwise, great feeling phone.
No issues with build quality. My gunmetal 3T feels like a premium device that would usually cost $650+. I like how they used sapphire glass for camera lens cover and ceramic for FPS. Definitely feels higher quality than my Nexus 6P.

How a device looks doesn't always show the build quality. The Moto XPE may not look as nice as the 3T but the build quality is very good. Same with the Nexus 6.

My screen went blank within a month of normal usage and I really doubt about the quality of components used as it is also a known issue with oneplus 3T.
I love the build of the OP3T, the smooth and solid feel in the hand is superb , the buttons offer the most tactile feel i've ever had. the only gripe i have is the antenna bands get dirty over time when used with a TPU case and the steel rim near the camera loses paint
my 3T slided off my pocket while riding my scooter ~30mph, no cover/bumper/anything
Rescued and - with surprise and relief - realized was still pretty much intact! The only "major" damage was to the rear camera glass, which has a vertical crack: this sort of refrains a bit the light when i take pictures, but is still usable.
It's just a great feel in the hand No homo
The 3T is a beautifully machined phone. Very nice to hold and use, very slim.
It's a well crafted phone.

Photo quality

Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Moto Z Play come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).

This is one of my favorite photos taken with my Z Play, just amazing!
Excellent smartphone pictures as long as there is sufficient light.
I also use third part app Snap Camera.
Some focus instability but all in all a very good camera.
Great smartphone with great camera!
I actually think it's worse than the G5plus despite it's a 16mp vs 12mp.
I got both phones so I spent time comparing the shots. I can't imitate the G5plus shots, they just come out better and sharper.

I've seen a post about dust (with picture) posted to a moto subreddit.
I too am experiencing an issue but related to condensation on the rear camera (front seems fine) on my moto.
I have no idea if it's related to humidity/dewpoint, or sweat being sucked into my device while in my armband when I'm working out.
What I DO know is that neither of my older 3 devices from various manufacturers (none of which are by moto) exhibited this issue.
It's still under warranty, so I'm going through the painful (error issues, ...) process of getting it repaired, but there will be the question of if it's going to be considered "liquid damage" which won't be covered under warranty and will leave me to just remove the rear lens so I have easy wiping access.

Strong or light risks? If they are light enough to soften, apply a thin steel wool to the lens.

Quality feel (use of materials)

samsung typical cheap plastic trash, hate it, always will, they do intend you to break it easy so you buy another after all.
i dropped my moto z force on concrete tons of times with no damage, not doing that with an s10
edit: nearly forgot this one before, but with the battery moto mod on the moto z force i had before this it was way more comfortable to hold in landscape orientation, the z force without the mod had the same issue though but i have to ding the s10+ cause the only solution is a bulky case that some people probably don't want and even then it's not as comfortable to hold due to the thinness of the device.
Actually the higher the build quality "feel", the more likelihood you will have damage during a drop. The old plastic phones like my Blackberry 15 years ago could be tossed all over the place without a case and keep on chuggin'.
This is why the case industry has grown into a billion dollar business!
That said, the ceramic S10+ is in a league of all its own.
Nobody cares if your cheaper old plastic phone survived drops easily, plastic absorbs impacts in a different way, while scratching and losing material very easily.
This phone is in its own league, it's not made to be dropped since there are other devices for that, but the feel is the best you could get and the ceramic version showed very good durability while having top class comfort.
As a matter of fact this device is one of the most expensive ones to manufacture, if not the most expensive one at all.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/The-Samsung-Galaxy-S10-costs-just-US-420-to-build.411858.0.html
Materials are awesome. I got the ceramic version. But hell, that thing is slippery without a case.
Comparing it to my Note 9 , the Note 9 wins hands down. I'm not just referring to the Note 9 weight either. Example first things I noticed with the s10+, back glass resonates when watching YouTube videos at 50% volume or more. As does some voice calls using the earpiece, I can feel the back glass resonate if the other party has a bassy voice.
Furthermore, no matter what color you chose on the s10 the frame is a painted chrome color, another cost cutting corner by Sammy. Where as on the Note 9 the chassis would also be the same color of the back as was the lens camera surround.
This flagship almost reminds of my favourite chocolate bar of yesterday's. Everything is cut down and reduced.
Don't get me wrong, the build quality is still high, but lower than what my expectations are from Samsung.

The buttons and the frame are pretty solid. Also, the phone is not heavy weighted, which is excellent for one hand usage. I'm not giving it a 5/5 just because I think that the aluminum frame could be of a better material. It scratches easily. If you simply miss the charging port at night and gently scratch the frame, it will get scuffed.

Are you sure? Dont know there, but here the frame does match the color of the back. My brother got a blue s10 and its frame is different from my white one.
