LG G6 screen protectors (white/black) - LG G6 Accessories

Lately, we have the new screen protectors for LG G6 (with both black and white frame around), but I see that on Amazon, most of the sellers are selling the clear ones. I was just wondering, if the colored screen protectors are not popular. Comment your ideas here.

<MOD EDIT>
I have the platinum ice model and have been looking for a nice black screen protector to have a nice black border around the screen. I was hoping for one without a cutout for the LG logo on the front, this one looks to be a bit more precise than the others I've seen. I just ordered one with the discount. Thanks for the share! :good:

Just got it in but the instructions were not accurate and it just wouldn't install without bubbles. It's a shame, because it looks nice, but I can't stand having bubbles on my screen. This one is going back.

I, too, have been looking for one without the cutout at the bottom. Any luck? I found one on ebay, but the pics only show the V20, but it also has it for the G6. Anyone wanna take a stab at it?

Official Nexus 5 Bumper review!

So i ordered a grey bumper and have had it now for a few days and decided to tell you all my experience. The bumper has a very nice in hand feel, smooth and contoured nicely to the phones original shape. The case is also extremely light and adds minimal bulk about 1mm. The cutouts are all perfectly cut as this case is made for the Nexus and the application and removal of the case are easy and fluid. The only slight issue at first is the button feel which is a bit stiff but after using it for days it loosens up some and becomes second nature. I here alot of people *****ing about the price but afterr spending less on some cases that were tripe in the build quality and returning them all this case is quality. It also allows for the Qi charger to work through it. Last but not least i like the Nexusy design and the fact that it has Nexus etched on the back. I do not want to conceal the fact that i have a Nexus. here are some pictures if you have any questions just ask?
had to post on a different reply wouldnt allow me to add to thread for some reason

I too have this Case but I find that the longer i have it the more the sides of the case get washed out. THe colour is fading away. Do you have that 2?
First off, thanks for taking the time for the review.. How much of a lip does the case have.. Do you think one would be able to use the "Spigen Google Nexus 5 Screen Protector Glass Slim [Crystal] (0.23mm) GLAS.tR NANO SLIM (SGP10667)" tempered glass screen protector with the case..?

Yeah the color on the gray one starts to get weird pretty quickly. I noticed the corners getting smudged and also picking up the color from my pants. I would hate to think how it would look after a few months.

Right, Same here. It also pickes up the colour of my pants. Not a lot. But every day a little bit. Hope to getting a black one.
I will def keep an eye on it but so far nothing , maybe its because I do not put it in my pants
How is the feeling when you hold it?
It's the same "rubber plastic" of the original phone or not?

Pretty similar. Not 100% like it but it does have a matte smooth feel to it. Very nice in hand feel
To those who are receiving discoloration. Get a refund or exchange. I'm sure there is a warranty
Also, in regards to the discoloration, what happens if you wipe it? I know, basic question, but you never know.

i didn't bother to try using some cleaning fluid or soap on it, but it was more than something you could just wipe away with your hand. i don't know whether the color was like impregnated into the plastic or if it was just on the top. basically get the black one to avoid discoloration
I just orderd my black one.. About time..!
I might order a red one as well black is just to blah

[Q] Black Vs Silver Scratching

I've been debating between getting the black vs silver version and I just thought of something this morning. Would scratches be more visible on the black version? I prefer the black version but if after a few months it has a bunch of visible white scratches then I would def prefer to get the silver. What do you guys think?
I want the black version too and now you made me paranoid haha hopefully it isn't silver with black coating
I imagine if the black one gets scratches, it will be silver underneath. If the silver one scratches, it will still be silvery underneath.

I agree, which makes me question black as my intended purchase, but I really think the black is the better look and will just have to try and keep it looking good.
It's stainless steel, not anodized aluminum. It'll take a hell of a lot to scratch it, but I don't know what process they used on the black.

I had a black steel watch years ago while in the military. It was my "work" watch. The black stayed black even after years of abuse. If they use then proper process to make the steel black it should wear just fine.
Thanks for your responses. I'm still not sure. The silver looks great too, so I might just get silver to just avoid the risk.
The best coating on watches is called PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and is (usually) black. If they use that coating then you won't have to worry about it scratching. I hope they use it.
I would like the black version as well, I think it looks good and especially also smaller then the silver one
however, I'm afraid it will scratch quite easily going by the latest pictures form this italian blog
in one of the pictures, imo you can see 2 scratches right next to the strap:
http://www.lucaviscardi.eu/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/20140805_161039.jpg
could have come from a tool used to change the strap

Might be the lighting, but yeah it looks like scratches to me. I ordered the silver one because of this. For $250 I'm not sure what kind of blackening process we can expect, but I will wait until reviews until I buy a 2nd black one, I'd like to be able to switch between the 2.

a bit off-topic here, but the LG G Watch R seems to use that kind of coating:

maybe interesting for all of you who - like myself - are disappointed by the bad inital reports regarding Moto 360's battery life
did u guys saw the gallery from the italian guy that reviewed it last month??
on his gallery it was clearly visible that scratches on the coating revealed the silver underneath
thats why i have now chosen to take the silver even tho the black one is much sexier

My exact thoughts! I have had the Pebble Steel in black and I dropped the thing when I was resizing it and fell on the carpet, and even that put a mark on the stupid band lol. Not a scratch, but the matte black was not matte in the areas where it fell. You couldn't see it straight on, but I knew it was there lol. These are the bands people are now using to replace the stock ones that can be bought at your local Best Buy.
I have a lot of other watches that are stainless/brushed steel so black, even though looks kicks ass wouldn't look so good on me. I'm constantly running into things like my 6 year old lol.
This was my exact thought and bought a silver one. Plus, I'm very used to a silver watch. It tends to go with everything. Black I am sure would too but I feel like silver metal bands are also easier to find in more variety.
I doubt the black watch was painted. Probably power coated or something which is very durable. As for scratches, it depends on how hard you hit it and on what surface. Personally, I'm waiting for tempered glass protectors for the face. I hate scratches on watch faces.
Has anyone gotten a black one yet and noticed any scratches?
If you like the black one but you are afraid of scratches, just get one of these full-body skins: http://www.amazon.com/SkinomiĀ®-TechSkin-Replacement-Definition-Anti-Bubble/dp/B00J400P98
Cheers!
I dropped my black one on tile and nothing happened, I heard the case hit too... also I just scratched at it with a razor blade and you can see little lines in the reflection but it's still black :good:

Could you post some close-up pictures of it? I'm too skeptical about buying a black one for this one reason that I read everywhere telling that the black surface if scratched will reveal the silver.. But I'm so much taken by the black, I wanna buy the black! Confused now!

Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

So I took a look on Amazon, and a few Tempered Glass Screen Protectors are showing up for the V20.
I had an issue finding a good one with my Note 4 due to the slight curve on the edge, I ended up with one from intelliArmor that is as good as I could find for edge-to-edge coverage.
And the Note 7 is even worse. I have read through their threads for weeks, and no one has been able to find a good glass screen protector that works properly with the curved edges.
Since the V20 does not have this issue, I woukd think the glass screen protectors for it would fit without any problem.
Those for V10 will work though V20 is a bit longer in length.
be careful. the top and bottom curves. Chris Chavez of phandroid discovered this.. there's a glass protector on amazon with a 1 star review, and it's him. he has pics. it looks awful. you have to get one that doesn't cover the 2nd screen or the LG logo on bottom. basically just a rectangle.

Going to return mine.
I can verify that there are curves. The Orzero 2 pack I got on Amazon (now unavailable) bubbles on the sides and top. I'm not sure tempered is gonna be an option for this phone unless it's barely covering the actual display and not the second screen at all.
Ordered directly from Nillkin. Takes a while from China but I've loved their TPGs on 6p and Note4

Will report back later, they arrive sunday
you need to get one that covers the screen only. the top and bottom of the phone have a slight curve that glass screen protectors won't stick to. i have tried 2 different brands and it is the same issue. gotta find one that covers the actual screen only.
looks like I am going to return the supershieldz I ordered a few days ago...the 1 star reviews are brutal
I want a glass cover that covers the ENTIRE screen including the front facing camera. I have one for my V10 and FF camera pics are fine.
WHY do they make it with a slight curve on the top and bottom? It looks like this will be like the Note 7 where no one could find a glass screen protector that fit right.

Probably for durability. Also smoothness to the user..
Fret not guys. Nexus 6 Shamu had curved glass at the top bottom and sides and took a while to get TG that didn't halo. Granted I think for Shamu the TG OEMs used thicker adhesive on the edges , in addition to matting. Took a few revisions to get it right. The Note7 never had time for revisions.
I have been emailing back and forth with MIME asking if they were going to make a tempered glass for this phone and they said absolutely "as long as enough people contact us to show interest".

Dbrand skin w/matte Skinomi screen protector

So I just finished installing my skin and screen protector. They came out good and i'm super happy with them. All the cutouts match up well but i do have one small gripe. The removable back piece isnt exactly measured perfect. I got the install right.. i think... But it did go over onto the side of the front just a little. The only reason this is an issue is because i switch out my battery at least once a day. But i just heated up the skin and bent it up under where the back meets closes. It worked out. Here are some pics for ya'll. Let me know if you have questions. Sorry if the pics are big. Pics shot on Moto z force
Also if anyone was considering the blue carbon fiber, this picture does not do justice to the blue. It looks way better in person. Not as bright in person

Case, dbrand skin, and tempered glass for 3T

Hi guys I bought the 3T since it was released in Europe and I love it. I come from having n every single Galaxy phone up until the Note 4. I received the Grip Pro for the 3T and its amazing. I also bought the clear case from Spigen which I like because anyway I bought dbrand skins which I will be applying this weekend (hopefully I dont mess up lol). My only lu concern its that from what I also read in many threads there is actually no tempered glass that we can say YEAH YOU SHOULD BUY THAT. I have always bought mine from Mime which I think make the best TG, but for some reason they didnt for the 3T. It's a big let down because even though I take care of my phone I dont want my screen getting messed up. Whats everyone opinion on this? Thanks.
I ordered my 3T just waiting for it to deliver, I'm also looking all over the place for decent screen protector and case.... also will get the dbrand skin, ive gone through lot of treads searching for the same thing u asking so everyone seems to be in the same boat.

I'm just using the cheaper of the two TG screen protectors from the OnePlus store. It seems decent. It doesn't cover over the entire screen, which is a little annoying at times, but I've gotten a little used to it. It's much better than having black bars on either side of my screen that partially cover the screen.
