S3 Neo doesn't support LTE. Only GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA and HSPA+ works.

[Q] Using AT&T Galaxy Note 2 in India (3G/UMTS)

Hi,
I searched whole Galaxy Note 2 Forums for my question but did not get direct answer. My question is
Can I use AT&T Galaxy Note 2 (SGH-i317) in India and get 3g data as is without making any modification to Bands?
or
Should I enable AWS (TMobile 3g/4g) bands in this phone to use 3G in India.
If anybody is using this phone in India, let me know how / which carrier in India are you using.

Depends what bands your carrier uses. The phone (without the AWS hack) supports 850/900/1900/2100 MHz for 3G.

I thought it supports only triband for 3g (900MHz being unavailable). Can you please confirm that SGH-i317 supports 900MHz for 3G.

I can't confirm that it actually works, other than this screenshot from my i317 (I did the AWS hack, which is why 1700 MHz comes up). GSM carriers in the US use 850/1900 (AT&T) and 1700/1900/2100 (T-Mobile) for 3G. So I can't see if 900 MHz works:
http://db.tt/WTFsWwwa
However, I don't think the phone will show bands that it doesn't support, so it should work. I have a hard time believing the phone is only Tri-Band, when my Galaxy S3 i9300 is quad-band (850/900/1900/2100 MHz) UMTS.
I know that the Verizon version works with 900 MHz because on Samsung's websites, it's quad-band UMTS. Yes, the Verizon version can also do GSM. It comes unlocked as well. You just have to use root and an APN application to add your carrier's APN, or just install a custom ROM that enables the APN menu.
I actually had the exact opposite question. I am planning on buying the Galaxy Note II (N7100) in India and I wanted to know if the 3G facility would work for any GSM provider in the United States?? I wanted to know if all the N7100 models (including the ones in India) are Quad band 3G. If so I guess the AT&T 3G should work as quad band would be compatible with the 850/1900 frequencies used by AT&T. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. I hope to be in the US from September for studies and thus wanted to be sure Id be able to use this phone for 3G there.

Im using the att note 2 i317 in india on airtel network. Currently on cleanrom MA4 . Speed is decent. I get anywhere between 4 to 8 mbps during good signal
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks for confirming. I was worried that I will miss out on 3g because of this 900MHz.

I travel India frequently and have US (AT&T) and India (Vodaphone) SIM, I just swap the sim and everything works great. I am on cleanrom 4.8. No issues and great Internet speed in Mumbai. Even I was able to do RDC without any issues.
Thanks.

There is a THIRD version:
Note 3 Neo Duos SM-N7502 = 3G Qualcomm Version
The TWRP for LTE or 3G version do NOT work on the 7502 version. Framaroot and CFAutoRoot also do not work. In the process of reloading the stock firmware from a borked recovery install.
thanks for even mentioning this model (note 3 neo) at all
As the title says, I just want to thank you Senior Member, for mentioning this model. It is so new that there are almost no info about it. I have sm-n7505 and it is superb, so I've been looking for info how could I choose and put some custom rom on it.
If anyone knows if cyanogenmod (version ???) could work fine on this phone please post. Also if you could recommend some other custom rom and all that goes with it, it would be awesome. Thanks and cheers...

Hello,
Yes you are right SM-N750 is the Indian Model.
I purchased Note 3 Neo from flipkart and received the same model like you have mentioned in the picture.
The LTE model I think you can purchase only in ebay.in or ebay.com as I have seen them there while browsing ebay.
SM-N750 is HSPDA version (Exynos 5260)
SM- N750 is Dual Micro SIM version (Snapdragon)
SM- N7505 is Micro sim (Snapdragon) - LTE version I think
check this site for more information.
Cheers!
SM-N7502 – HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 (Where is 850?)

According to your link http://bestmobs.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-neo/, SM-N7502 3G only has 900 / 1900 / 2100 bands
Amazon.com's version includes 850, http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Duos-Sm-n7502/dp/B00KGGL8PE
Anyone knows which one is correct?

I gave that link for showing about N750 as he was asking for N750 Indian model. I think they were right about N750 but wrong about N7502.
Regarding your doubt, check this link

Thanks. I've been looking for a decent dual SIM phone with removable battery, long standby, travel friendly (quad band 2g, penta-band 3g etc), had my an eye on n7502 for a while now. Not many choices out there, I would have gone for the note 2 n7102 but their 850mhz band is broken
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132543
Since the Note 3 Neo n7502 specs is so similar to note 2 I was worried they'd have the same problem. There's too little information about n7502 on the internet at this point. No one has directly reported success nor failure with it.

All I have read is that Snapdragon 400 is inferior to Exynos HexaCore in n7505, which might not make the n7502 version better. I perdonally used it bdw, and I did feel it slight sluggish (n7502 one).
I need the Display LCD and TOUCH for SM-N7502, but if I buy for the Model SM-N7505, then will it work to my SM-N7502 Model? Will I face any further problem in the future?

S4 mini gt-i9195i 4g USA

Hi. I've searched for months. I'm not a novice, but I'm not even close to programmer... I've a Samsung S4 mini i9195i running 4.4.4 . I rooted as soon as I got it, everything works great except 4g. I'm on tmobile in the USA, and I can't figure how to get 4g operable. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Rooted with odin, twrp... su, titanium backup installed, stock rom
T-Mobile LTE won't work on the S4 Mini. T-Mobile uses a very specific LTE radio band (1700 mhz) that is only available on specific (usually T-Mobile branded) phones. You can use 3G and lower with T-Mobile on the international phones, and T-Mobile's original 4G (HSPA+) is just a boosted 3G.

how to use jio 4g sim on my galaxy note 2 3g

I tried using engineering mode but it doesn't work on my mobile . I have Samsung exyno's processor. I want to unable the LTE band ASAP. Plzzzzzzz HElp me:crying: :crying:
The lte variant is different to the 3g one and has a qualcomm chip for lte that isn't present in the none lte version. Pretty sure it's impossible to do
you can not use jio 4g on a 3g phone because jio doesn't have 2g or 3g fallback network.
not answer but query... facing same problem. with my samsung galaxy note gtn7100 3g.
is updating by rooting the phone to lollipop or other version will bring 4g accessibility or not ?
