You need to flash it when you are on stock ZUI which is based on Android 6.

I better recommend you to flash stock via QFIL, unlock bootloader, install TWRP and then MIUI.

i did download it in flash it , but its not compatible with my phone
every time i try to flash it it says : invalid format zip !!!
I want to flash the miui pro rom on my whyred.....but on their website the installation instructions has a truck load of steps including flashing official rom through Miflash,then flashing dummy.img etc.
My question is do I need to follow all the steps as I already using a custom rom?

i downloaded latest global HM 9.6.5 GLOBAL CHINA STABLE RECOVERY ROM (1.65GB) and flashed it with Twrp...
DONE
DON"T flash older roms! , the anti rolback is activated, you will brick your device for good!
if you not sure and afraid to brick just delete "firmware-update" folder from the miuipro zip file. then you are ready to flash , no mather which firmware you are .

You should be fine as long as you dont flash older miui versions. You can flash miui pro, but the fwless (removed arb) versions. You can find them on a seperate site not from miuipro official site. Miuipro(.)net

Did you do the Qpst zui 3.5 procedure on it? because with that baseband its 1.9 ai if you tried by twrp it will never work.

You can install through Qfil to zui 2.5 Indian and then unlock the bootloader, install recovery twrp and go to the roms with kernel 4.4. Already in the case of Zui 3.5 if you want to try try there by Qpst

Yes you can ! But after that install it will have to unlock the bootloader and install the twrp as recovery. Why do not you try Qpst to zui 3.5? with it will not block your booloader just need to put the twrp back and go to the 4.4 kernel roms. Either option works I tested both

You can either install via Qpst to zui 2.5 Indian (after installed it you will need to unlock the bootloader and install the recovery twrp) or the Chinese zui 3.5 (do not need to unlock the bootloader, but the twrp yes)

After flashed j730f with binary u7 touch didn't work.
I think if change to j730gm it's work bucz i find j730gm(binary u3)twrp backup and after install that touch work but imei and baseband change to null or 0000
Maybe i change phone to j730gm and touch working?

start fresh , flash miui 13 fastboot rom using miflash, boot it , then flash custom firmware after that.
