thank you. But that is exactly the problem: when I update from the Play store it shows "enable" button. I push and nothing happens. App does not show on settings. Only this app has this behavior.

Clear app data and cache, uninstall updates from menu button.
And finally, if still has problems, factory reset the device

I am desperate. It asked me to upgrade to google play , i clicked yes and market exited. Now i don't have the market anymore and google play is still not installed on the phone.I am using the stock 4.0.2 rom , non rooted.Tried to install a market from xda , says ,, succesfull" but there is still no market.Plz i need help!!!!!!
It's listed under "play store" in you app drawer. Check again.
It must be installed if it says successfully?.. It is called play store
Restarted twice and found it.Thx.
Food for thought. Next time something like this happens, just try restarting your launcher to refresh the app drawer.

did you checked if in ur launcher you have an app called play store? thats the new market
it should be there, otherwise reboot the phone..it will for sure refresh the apps in the launcher
Also, if you just need to access it before it shows up in your app drawer, you can just hit search and type it in to launch the app.
reboot got it going, thanks.

Nexus 5x - "Allow" button (permission)

Hi everyone,
Can't push the a "Allow" button when an app asks for a permission. (any apps)
Is it a known issue ? or it can be fixed somehow ?
Thanks again,
Do you have any apps running that do things like dim your screen or changed the color? Many of those are known to interfere with the package installer which I think comes into play when you press those buttons.
No,
The phone has been Factory reset lately....

There is an app overlaying that is causing the issue.
Go to:
Settings > Apps > Configure apps (cog button at the top) > Special access > Draw over other apps
(note the path may be different on your phone, this is how its done on android N)
Turn off Permit drawing over other apps for the apps listed. Do it one by one. Between turning it off for each app, check and see if you can hit "OK" for new permissions.

So? The settings are the same just located in a slightly different location. Do yourself a favor and look for it in the settings of your phone.
Like the XDA noob that I am, I googled it for you and found that the setting is in the same location for MM the it is for N.
Go, flip the switches...
Didn't fix the problem
Thanks anyway....

I wonder if you did it right. So, to clarify, you denied all of the apps listed in the Draw over other apps menu the ability to draw over other apps? All switches to the left and grayed out? Then you tried to open an app that requests some kind of permission? The permission dialog opened but you were still unable to select "Allow"?
Had similara behavior. In my case it was the File Manager HD app.
Only appeared after OTA back to M from N preview.

Still don't have Google Assistant

I'm running on the latest firmware and I also received the April Security patch update. But I still don't have Google Asistant. Long pressing the home button opens the Marshmallow style Now on tap interface, and the Ok Google voice activation opens up traditional voice search. Any ideas how to activate Google Assistant without unlocking the bootloader.

Omg thanks for the suggestion! Didn't work though. Next useless suggestion please. And also stop assuming that people haven't tried googling stuff before posting here.
I googled, searched xda for similar posts before asking here. So kindly stick to useful and helpful advise.

Tried that too, sideloaded the latest beta's for google Play services and Google app as well even though I'm on enrolled on the beta program for all those apps in the Play Store. I have phones running 6.0.0 having Assistant!

That's actually not a bad option. Quick question: Does it wipe the internal storage too? I haven't factory reset my phone except via TWRP

Google Assistant Not Working

How can I get Google Assistant to work on my Honor 8 Pro? I've tried all the tips on the web like enrolling to beta, clearing cache but nothing is working. I keep getting Google Now.

Yes, followed those instructions and it worked now. It seems that one of the Nova launcher settings was stopping it from working.
