How to lock oem bootloader ? - Honor 8 Pro Questions & Answers

I unlocked my phone before and now can't be trusted making ota update (B130 to B183) impossible now, because i have phone unlocked and FRP lock, i tried to use fastboot mode to flash stock recovery.img (i had twrp), but it failed (command not aloowed) so i guess i need to revert back to oem lock because stock recovery.img and updates cannot be installed but i don't know the process... Any ideas ? Thanks !

Refer to this thread. Basically you flash stock firmware back

Thanks guys, does it mean i have to downgrade to B120 ???
The file is 6 GB (L09-C432b120a) >>> European region ?

Ok, i tried to flash stock firmware back using project menu so i can do SD Updrade (with dload folder containing update.app and other files) but unfortunatetly, when the process is going on for upgrading, it is sudddenly stopped by the Huawei eRecovery interface which shows up all the time and with an option to download lastest recovery via wifi but it fails too when i use this option...
I'm running the B130 version, i guess the downgrading to B120 cannot work ? because before the Huawei eRecovery showed up, i could see a quick message that the firmware current version (B120) is not correct.

i thought i could relock bootloader back using this B120 firmware, but do i need to download the full B183 firmware ? Then i use SD Card Upgrade via project menu ?
where can i find the official stock recovery for honor 8 pro ?

I already tired this method, it failed

ok...i was so desesperate that i used a tool called SRKTool Huawei where it was possible to lock boot loader, i tried it on my phone but unfortunately, it destroyed recovery image and now my phone keeps booting on fastboot mode like a loop trying to look for recovery image, i cannot even switch my phone off, it cannot be detected on my computer, i ****ed it up, my phone is useless now...

My problem now is similar to this one : https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/help/stuck-rescue-mode-screen-please-help-t3244872
I guess i have to let my phone draining by itself because i have bootloop and long press on power seems to have no effect...
Once drained, i have to plug it in with usb ? and then the phone will be detected on my computer ? because right now i'm stuck with fastboot mode with bootloop and with a "error mode"...

Ok, after fully decharged, i recharge my phone and now i am able to enter fastboot mode and i have :
Phone relocked
FRP Lock
Since it was relocked, everything was deleted, so there's no system, etc...
At this point, what should i do now properly ?
Do i have to use huawei extractor and extract Boot.img, Recovery.img, system.img from UPDATE.APP ?
And then flash them in fastboot mode ? But do i have to unlock oem again with my code ?
Edit: The UPDATE.APP should be taken from B120, B130 version ?

I have nougat and unlocked it before

I tried to put update.app in dload folder of the SD card and then, tried to force installation using and holding power + vol up+ vol down, but it failed, it says :
"Software install failed
Incompatibility with current version
Pleasse download the correct update package"
So, which package do i need to install ? The package version has to correspond accordingly to the Huawei recovery version ?
Sorry, i'm lost now....

Since i have my phone relocked, with FRP lock, with no system to boot on (so i cannot enable usb debugging mode and developer option), how can i flash or install img and software in fastboot mode and rescue with phone relocked, FRP lock ?

I cannot flash anything with fastboot mode, the only solution is to flash with SD Card containing the correct firmware and using force upgrade method (power + vol up and down) but during the process it ends at 5% and it says :
"Software install failed
Incompatibility with current version
Pleasse download the correct update package"
I checked the info of bootloader and it says : L09C432B130
Where can i get the proper L09C432B130 firmware ? On other websites, there are three zip files (i cannot find the official firmware on huawei website for flashing):
update zip
update_full_DUK-L09_hw_eu.zip
Update_data_full_public.zip
The update.zip is the one i should download ? So i can extract the UPDATE.APP from this update.zip and i can add in the dload folder of Sd Card ?

Yes dowbload the updae.zip and dload .for apps of cust download thw full duk l09 .zip and dload again

I tried to reinstall with force upgrade, it fails again at 5% in hauwei erecovery:
"Software install failed
Incompatibility with current version
Pleasse download the correct update package"
Fastboot mode can only give me infos, but i cannot flash anything because of "...command not allowed", and force upgrade using Sd Card with any firmware compatible fails with the well known error message i posted above...
When i switch on the phone, it cannot boot up the system since i relocked phone from unlocked phone (which was rooted before), so it deleted data but it also deleted the boot and system i think.
The only thing i can access is Fastboot mode (Phone locked, FRP lock) and Huawei eRecovery which is useless.
In huawei eRecovery mode, under the Emui logo, you have "Download latest version and recovery" "Reboot" "Shutdown"...
When i use "Download latest version and recovery" using wifi mode, it tries to download but it fails when trying to get infos from server...

Can't update to B512

Hey guys. I was on Kitkat Beta CN with TWRP. I wanted to update to B512 so I reverted to the original recovery B506CN recovery (downloaded it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709353)
Once I pressed local update the phone reboots but I get the following error message:
Huawei SD card update fail.....
The update is /dload/update.app
Why do I get this error message and how to fix it in order to update to B512
try one of these http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/help/p6-u06-common-issues-fixes-t2843810#post54736765 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/development/diy-rom-b510-based-add-want-t2843511
Tried many different combinations and nothing helped seems this problem is binded to my SD card. I tried different recovery versions and tried to update when I had 3 different roms. It seems I can't update with the stock recovery no matter what I do. I tried doing that in the internal storage but still the same mistake? Why should it access the SD card for an update in the internal storage?
When I enter recovery manually (without going at update section in settings) I see at first screen this message and I have to restart to enter at the recovery
ro.build.version.release = 4.4.2
ro.product.name = VEDGE
Current build version release is not 4.2 - don't need move.
USB Update Enter...
HUAWEI SDCARD&USB UPDATE AGENT VERSION 2.0
This phone is secureboot phone.
This phone is unlock state
Do you also see it or is this a clue?

You should unplug your device from usb and then reboot to recovery because u can read there "USB Update Enter" that means your device is pluged to a pc

Have you tried using the file to downgrade back to Jelly bean from KitKat?
https://mega.co.nz/#!8kcVADpB!JKeDlX4WQhmAP3mclNTfIzIjVllw5sMhnrj-3KSpSc4
Download the file, and place the dload folder onto your sd card, and do a local update as usual. When that is done, your phone will reboot normally. Just replace the dload folder with the one from B512, and try updating again. If it still doesn't work, I'd suggest doing a forced update using the 3-button method (power button & volume keys).
dl this first http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23252070760973625
extract it's file in your adb dir
You also could try this > run cmd on your pc >use
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery "full name of the file extracted from the downloaded file inc it's extension"
fastboot reboot
then you could try flashing again

I tried and this recovery causes a constant vibrating when in recovery mode, apart from that I still get the same errors.
My only fast and easy solution would be if someone uploaded a B512 repack for TWRP. That would be awesome, right now I just use the B513 repack. I don't think I can find the fix to this any more.

[HELP] Can't flash Stock 7.0Nougat via Stock Recovery...

I got a ZF3 Deluxe from Italy, is TIM branded, and stuck on MM 6.0, no updated released for this brand, so a friend of mine told me there is of course android 7 for ZF3Deluxe, so i wanted to manually upgrade system to 7.0 Nougat, i downloaded the Stock ROM from asus (2.15ghz cpu, i've checked of course) but when i try to flash it from the Stock Recovery i get this error (see the attachment) i also attach the software informations, (looking at the error i receive it may see the archive is corrupted, but i've tried to download it from Asus many and many times)
You have a carrier rom on your phone and the international version fails the upgrade check.
If you could get your bootloader unlocked that would be a way around it but you need to upgrade to a certain rom version to do that and the carrier hasn't supplied that rom...
You're essentially screwed until the carrier either releases the bootloader unlockable rom or upgrades the rom to nougat...

You should try to flash stock recovery of WW in fastboot.
And then flash 6.0 WW rom by WW recovery.
Even though ,I didn't sure that if it will work(because I don't have Z016S),but you can try it.

I forgot to say, after this procedure, just flash the stock WW recovery via Fastboot, then download from asus the lastest 7.0 firmware SKU WW, all perfect. tested by me.
Ok I already have system.new.img, I copied it to the root folder of the SD. Device restart in Fastboot mode (power + vol.up key). Exit screen with message Fastboot mode and does nothing.
Install in the computer the pyton 3.6, I suppose that it serves for the process of generating system.new.img.
I do not know how to do the first step "Install: ADB & Minimal Fastboot.".
Thank you and forgive my translator

Try this
or try flash ZenFone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL_WW stock recovery of 4.12.40.1698 and flash UL-Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698-user.zip in recovery (by micro sd or adb sideload)not sure if it work(need verification,I wish you to try first).
Please help me, my model is the Z016S
I can convert UL-Z016-WW-4.12.40.1698-user.zip img and flash with fastboot.
Reboot and it works, but I do not know how to get into recovery.
I have also installed the Z016-WW-4.11.40.1085_recovery.img. The TIM DISAPPEARED
Then I copied the UL-Z016-WW-5.14.44.1898-user.zip into the internal memory and it does not install well.
I have proven the same with UL-Z016-WW-5.14.44.1898-user.zip and it does not work me it stays in a non-comands and will not boot.
greetings and thanks
P.S. At least you do not see the TIM anywhere.

Tow solution you can try
1.install the rom of 4.12.40.1698 again(some of tile, such as xbl,devcfg,devcfgbak..... may be still TIM versio.install it in recovery may turn it into WW version)
2.If fail, try flash these files in fastboot.(I will upload these files for you to flash, also you can draw by yourself)
Ok already worked, the solution is to unlock as you put in # 11.

how to unbrick your phone OR get over NR90D test Key !

have you brick your device ? hare you still on emui 5.0 beta (test key nr90d, you dont have themes and no update) this is for you !
you need : a huawei devices with unlock bootloader (search for your device on xda) a computer, a SD card (+5go)
If you are stock on NR90D :
dowload huawei update extractor (zip) on xda,
dowload the last FULLOTA compatible with your phone and the app huawei firmware finder
(it's on your phone files in HWFF)
extract it on your comuter
extract the UPDATE.APP with udate extracor to get RECOVERY.img
install TWRP on your device see XDA post
flash on recovery RECOVERY.img
put update.app on /dload/ of your sd card
launch your phone on recovery
If you are bricked :
dowload the last FULLOTA compatible with huawei firmware finder (xda)
extract it on your comuter
extract the UPDATE.APP with udate extracor to get RECOVERY.img
install TWRP on your device XDA
flash on recovery RECOVERY.img
put update.app on /dload/ of your sd card

sorry for my english , i hope it will hepl someone
If device is bricked how can you install twrp? Both of your methods are the same, all they are is the Huawei force update method.
here
hi !
sorry i've did'nt put thD e link
all here https://forum.xda-developers.com/nova-plus/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-huawei-nova-t3523473
to extract
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454&page=1
firmware finder :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146
(yes, to get out of testing key you have to flash the new recovery of an real update and you have just to have the imei)
My point was if the device is bricked you will not be able to get to fastboot to flash twrp.
Normally , you can ...
Just tu unlock OEM unlock and usb debug

Doing the update second time is fine, and best way to restore full stock. But you needed to use Oreo version of no-check recovery and the Oreo partition to flash it to.
So if still able to get into twrp, can try with correct no-check recovery and correct partition it's flashed to.
Also
With multi tool , make sure you put check mark on emui 8. Up in upper right corner. That way it uses Oreo partition names and file not nougat.
The partition length over message usually means nougat file or partition name used on Oreo system

Then perhaps first do these three partitions.
Kernel.img
Ramdisk.img
Then
twrp_ramdisk or for stock use recovery_ramdisk

Hi
I have a problem with my Honor 7X L21.
Because online update dose not work for this model I decided to updated my smartphone offline.
I downloaded Oreo update file
Unlock my phone
install twrp

every thing is going well until here
then I decided to root my phone but I saw there is no twrp on my phone
I search and I found a thread here that show how install twrp with adb use recovery ramdisk.
I install twrp on recovery ramdisk and try to root my phone. its OK but when my phone want to start its stuck on google page "just a sec..."
I boot my device on twrp and I did factory reset but the problem was still exist.
then I decided to flash update again.
I copy update file on SD card and wright code on twrp
but at the end when I reboot the recovery, twrp except stock recovery came up and my stock recovery was gone.
I reboot the system but Its loop on this page that says:
ERROR MODE
Attention!
Please update system again.
Error!
Func NO : 11 (recovery image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)
Please help me!!!
I try to install stock recovery and twrp with adb and huawei multi tools but it didn't work.

I try to unbrick my phone too but it shows same message that "FAILED (remote: partition length get error)"

I ever have similiar problem with you dude, but it's solved now, if you always stuck on " its OK but when my phone want to start its stuck on google page "just a sec...", its call google accont verification, i'll by bypass with this script, save as to .bat and put on adb folder
adb devices
adb shell content insert --uri content://settings/secure --bind name:s:user_setup_complete --bind value:s:1
adb shell am start -n com.google.android.gsf.login/
adb shell am start -n com.google.android.gsf.login.LoginActivity
pause
in fastboot type:
fastboot -w
after all it's works to me to bypass google account verification
and if now your problem is
ERROR MODE
Attention!
Please update system again.
Error!
Func NO : 11 (recovery image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)
i solve with re-flash system from this
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939830152
fastboot flash system system.img
and doing TWRP Flashing
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=25826#downloads
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk complete_twrp_ramdisk.img
and voila my problem solved..

So now is locked frp. Does phone have twrp or stock now.?
I think when you tried to install the oreo update for second time, you followed same tutorial as the first time. And that made you problem worse. The tutorial has you flash no-check recovery to 2 partition by block number. 22 & 29. On nougat that is "recovery" and "recovery2". On Oreo partion table it is "reserved2" & "erecovery_vendor"
I don't know how to fix imei. Have hope that if to ucan have a full ota install , maybe can be fixed.
There is available a "service rom" (used to fix most all problem) for Europe region with l21.
I can share link to site with service rom if you want , but I have not used it myself so not gonna be much help with it.
Link is to rusian language page. Google should translate for you.

in summery. because i have been going back and forth in multiple different groups, multiple problem, i cant remember it all.
you have broken system, from failed root attempt, followed by failed update.
device condition is as follows.
--system not booting
--stock recovery loads
--fastboot/bootloader loads, but is in frp lock status
options are limited, at best.
I think "dload" method with service rom is best.
other option is maybe paid service like dc-unlock. But I can recall some note on there service about frp-unlock, that can only be used on device with working system. (of course if was working system, wouldn't need dc-unlock)

what about the "about phone" screen
what does it show for version?
If is all stock you should be able to go into deveolper options and enable "oem unlock". If it is greyed out and cannot switch it. Try First to remove google account (all accounts ). and reboot. See if can change then. If not, try Second to do "fastboot oem relock [enter your bootloader code here]
after relock and rebooted oem switch should be enabled again.
****RELOCK IS ONLY ADVISED IF 100% STOCK ROM****
otherwise relock could make more trouble.
Still not sure how to get IMEI back even if unlocked frp though.
**And please stop posting in other threads , the same problem , because you are getting help here.
your post in recovery thread is off topic to that thread and just makes the forum harder to maintain.

Hello I have a Huawei Mate-SE (with bootloader unlocked and rooted with magisk v16). I have been using the android custom rom RRO v6 (RR-O-v6.0.0-20180401-bnd-OpenKirin) for around a month now. I got this exact same problem about the White Screen saying "ERROR MODE Attention...." since I updated the Magisk to latest version (from the installed application) and rebooted my phone. SInce I rebooted I am getting that same error which makes the phone loops into it for a few times and then it loads the Huawei eRecovery that offers me some options that I am not sure what would do to my phone.
I have been trying to connect to adb tools/fastboot but it doesn't detect the phone and im pretty sure I have the device drivers installed on my computer since nothing have changed in my pc for a month now since I flashed RRO on it.
Is there any other mode besides recovery that would allow me to connect adb/fastboot to it? Or does anyone knows how should I proceed?

I have seen where the magisk update screwed up and patches the kernel intead of the ramdisk.
Power off , long press power button.
Hold volume down and plug in USB from PC.
This should cause it to boot into fastboot mode.
Then flash the stock kernel. And the stock or first patched ramdisk. (From earlier root)

Hi thank you I was able to finally detect the device now. I am unsure about the kernel is that the recovery.img or system.img files I downloaded (i saved every file i used when I installed the rom) or do I need to look for the kernel somewhere else? I do have the complete_twrp_ramdisk.img file though.
Edit, I did more research and found the stock kernel is withing the boot.img file which I dont have so I looked up for the official BND-L34 oreo update and im currently downloading to extract the stock boot.img from the update.zip and flash it. Since that download was going to take me a while anyway i tried flashing the twrp recovery file without success (didn't changed anything) so i guess I should follow the instructions you gave me by flashing the kernel first then the twrp recovery.

Do you know what the boot.img files name is after extraction?
I have extracted all 3 update zips and cannot find anything called boot.img
By the way, thank you.. After updating magisk I have been dealing with failed recovery and failed boot for over a week and this is the first reply anywhere that looks promising

if you were on oreo. then there is not a boot.img, instaed there is seperate ramdisk.img and kernel.img.
i have all the files already extracted for oreo and a backup from nougat as well.
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=265998
make sure you know what you are doing before flashing.
for example. on oreo the boot and recovery share one kernel image. SO if kernel is messed up you will not be able to boot "boot" or "recovery"

Convert Docomo dtab d-02h into Global version 802L

I do not own any of the original work. I just tried it, it worked and Reposted in XDA as there was no such guide here. I know it is an old device but there are still some legends and those people can take advantage of this guide.
It only takes time to do it properly, so you can download necessary files and so on.
Start TWRP
Connect to PC by USB debugging and execute adb reboot recovery command, or press and hold the volume button and power button at the same time (about 8 seconds) from the power off state to start.
Select Wipe ⇒ Format Data from the menu and select yes. . .
* If you do not delete the data once, the upgrade package distributed for Mediapad M2 to be introduced may cause an installation error.
File download
The DL and folder name of the required files are " M2 ". (Zip and harden)
Decompress after DL and move the files inside to "platform-tools".
BOOT.img
CUST.img
SYSTEM.img
RECOVERY.img
There are four files mentioned above.
Install M2-android5.1.X. . .
* If you do not do this, you will not be able to upgrade to a later version.
* Please keep your PC and tablet ADB after this.
adb devices
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash cust CUST.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
Finally, make the recovery the original M2 one
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
fastboot reboot
After reboot, it will be changed to Huawei M2-android5.1.X including recovery.
Download "M2-802LC229B207CUSTC229D006" from " [ROM] [STOCK] [Android 6.0] [M2-802L] B207-Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.0 " of Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.0
XDA . Move the downloaded file to the platform-tools folder without decompressing it and execute the following command. * Please create a "dload" folder in the tablet in advance, otherwise an installation error will occur when the command is executed.
adb push update.zip /sdcard/dload
After transfer, open Settings ⇒ System Update and select “Update Locally” from the menu. After selecting update.zip, tap Install to start the update.
With the above, it is changed to Huawei M2-android6.0.X / EMUI 4.0.X. . . Remember to reboot after installation! ! !
