Slow response on back button? - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

I love my Mi6, it's been amazing so far. But I have a problem with my back button, in that now and then, it'll seem like it goes to sleep, and needs multiple taps before it will wake up and be useable again. This seems particularly common in the morning.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using stock MIUI 8, I haven't modified the phone at all since I bought it.
Cheers!

Same.
Sometimes sticky.

Back button issue. Randomly happens in active use of phone. Anyone else???

So it appears I may have experienced my first hardware problem. Randomly I started having issues this evening with the Dragon, Fly! Game where the back menu would randomly appear while playing. At first I figured it was a terrible ad implementation added into the update that just went through for the game, but then i started experiencing the same issue in multiple applications. This has me worried. I am not running a custom kernel. Has anyone else had this issue yet?

You know, that was happening quite often last night when my girlfriend was playing Bunny Shooter... I claimed she was accidentally hitting the back button, but it happened too many times to be her own fingers doing it.
I wonder if the buttons are just too sensitive?
I actually was playing a game, and accidentally hit the back button, and ended my game.
It's the reason I've always been a physical button fan for those four buttons.
I don't see any advantage at all to making them all capacative - too easy to hit accidentally, there's no deliberate "press" required.

I know the reason... it saves a couple pennies in production, and, at least in theory, nonmoving parts are far less likely to break.
BUT, I also prefer physical buttons. Especially for ending a call and taking pictures.
I miss the trackpad my Moment had, too...

[Q] Random slowdown/WiFi freezing

Hi guys, hopefully someone can acknowledge if this is a common problem or not.
Basically when playing games (all games), does anyone get random slowdowns? Like the game becomes super laggy for maybe 3-6 seconds?
Using System Monitor, I don't see anything happening with the CPU such as hitting 100% or anything like that, so it's doesnt seem to be the CPU working on anything else. As said, it happens randomly but will always happen if playing. This doesn't seem to to happen in any non-gaming apps or the homescreen.
Secondly, another random issue seems to be toggling WiFi on. Basically when turning on WiFi from the Notification Bar, it will just sit there and then eventually the phone will freeze. I can still press lock button (on the right of the phone) which will put the srceen off and on as if it was locking and it even makes the locking noise. However the screen will be completely unresponsive, completely unable to interact with the phone.
Again, this is random and doesn't seem to be brought on by anything I can see.
Holding the lock button to restart the phone still works.
Running completely stock. (GT9190) on stock firmware for South Africa. No root, nothing.
So guys, does this happen to anyone else? Hopefully this is normal and will be fixed by Samsung with 4.3/4.4 or something.

I had the same problem but when i install New software update XXUBML4 it gone

[Q] Back Button

Hi everyone. I am running Team Freeze SM-T520 ROM on my 10.1. I would have posted question there, but I have to have a certain number of post. The back button on the tab frequently quits working. Along with the multi-window button and home button. Now I do have a case on it but even when leave it off and come back to it, it doesn't work. I have tried looking on google to see if this is a hardware issue or what. Came up empty handed. I don't know if its the ROM or what. Is anyone else having this problem? Need some guidance in this because it is very annoying to have this problem on a brand new tab.
I've experienced this as well. Not sure what causes it though.
I think it might just be a hardware issue with overheating. When I have my cover on with the tablet propped up it seems to be fine. When I lay the tablet down with the cover it seems to happen more frequently. So I would suggest a case that lets you air out your device or one that props it up like mine.

screen won't wake up sometimes

Hi,
My phone sometimes doesn't respond when I try to wake up the screen. Double tap, power button, fingerprint, nothing works. The only thing I can do at that point is to force reboot. This is a pretty serious issue. When this happens I had to wait for it to reboot.
Anyone else having this issue?
I'm also experiencing this and I'm not able to reproduce it. It drives me crazy, I so wanted to like this phone
That has happened to me too. Probably 3 - 4x over the course of a little over two months of use.
HMD Global's software sucks. This will be my last "Nokia".

Their hardware is pretty good. Only if the bootloader can be easily unlocked... this would be a good phone.
I think I may have experienced what you're talking about. Most of the time for me, it seems to be a notification screen overlay issue. When it happens, I get no reaction on my screen until I brush from the top down, as if I'm pulling down the notification screen. After that, the phone rights itself and behaves normally.
I've experienced this in the past and recently. Not often, but sometimes. It seems to be camera-related.

wifi and bluetooth won't turn on

My wife's pixel 3xl recently started having this problem. It is completely unmodified stock, locked bootloader, reports it is on the latest update.
Wifi and bluetooth won't stay on. A reboot fixes it, but eventually they shut off again. Sometimes it lasts a few days after a reboot, sometimes less. Once they shut off, they can't be turned back on again. You can try and toggle them on with quick settings, but it doesn't actually work. Only a reboot fixes it.
I tried a factory reset a couple of weeks ago. That seemed like a cured it for about a week, but it's back.
It's a pretty aggravating problem. If I can't fix it soon, she's probably going to end up with a new phone. Anyone else seen this, or better yet, know a fix? I've done some searching in the forum and on the web in general, but I didn't find anything informative other than one webpage that talked about some pixels, especially the 4a, having problems like this after updating to android 11.
Well, I got fed up with android 11, and downloaded the last android 10 factory image.
After flashing that and factory resetting, I'm having different problems. Now the phone takes like 5 seconds for the screen to come on when waking with the power button.
I'm starting to think this thing is cursed, or has hardware problems. Anyone have any ideas?
Edit: I have no idea why this would make a difference, but I switched unlocking method from swipe to none this morning and that eliminated that long wake-up delay. It's back to fast and responsive like it should be.
Now to see if wifi and bluetooth are going to behave better on android 10.

You can try wakelock V3 and select 'CPU' and set as autostart on boot in the app settings to see if it wakes faster.
I can't believe that it worked for me. I was facing the same issue and I got frustrated. I was just serching and came across a reel showing fix regarding it. In that video person switched off his pixal tapped it on his leg (backside of phone) and then started it and keep tapping it on his leg while starting. It's really weird but I gave it a try. And can't believe it worked. Wife and Bluetooth both fixed now. Getting "on" now.
