Maybe yes, i made that backup without system modification. So for apply new OTA you need to restore the original boot.img without patch(the mine has no-verity-opt-encrypt patch)

This work just for Telcel carrier?

Is it works in Indian Variant?

No, you can install it.
The carriers bloatware/files is in /oem root folder.
So you will keep that of your carrier after flashing this.

I don't know, test it if you want.

It works flawlessly on the Indian Variant as well, I just had to place the folder '2017-08-29--16-27-55' into the correct /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/[device-id] folder. So I took a small backup on TWRP, created the folders, and moved the folder into that directory. Then you should be good to go.
Also, does anyone have the change log for -72? I don't see much difference.
Here's a screenshot:

Which recovery should i use for this????
i mean stock recovery, after i restore from twrp...
will an older RETLA january patch recovery work?

Can't find the folder?
I put the folder in TWRP, but TWRP recovery doesn't see it as a recovery. Any suggestions?

Please sendme you baseband

The blindness is strong in this one. Was just so used to StockByNUT and flashing the kernel through .ftf that it surprised me to only have a zip
How i did:
1) Flashed .133
2) Flashed Deodex
3) Flashed Debloat
4) Flashed Honami kernel
5) Cleaned cache + dalvic
Everything working but i get notification, that there is update .133 and i get it if i connect my phone with computer.
How to lose it?
Can i flash this straight from ihackers 4.1?
Hey!
Unfortunately I can't install Xposed framework on this. I get "mount: permission denied". It work on .108
Also, I can't delete any system app with Titanium Backup. This worked on .108 as well.
Is there something wrong with mounting the system partition?

Look in the zip and see what files it replaces (in this case all the files in system/fonts)
Then take these files from the rom zip you are using or stock firmware (you will need to extract the stock firmware first) and replace the files in the zip with the ones from the rom zip and flash it
You might also need to see what else the updater script does
Of course making a twrp backup before trying anything would be alot simpler if you needed to revert
Thank you.

How "replace the PackageInstaller.apk file" if folder system\priv-app havn't PackageInstaller.apk(Only have MiuiPackageInstaller.apk) And second question is "Install Updater.apk." Install it as a user app or replace system\app\Updater\Updater.apk

Anyone else is having issues with updating/installing apps from the store with the MIUI 11 versions of MiuiPro?
Version 9.7.4 works fine, the latest 2 from the google drive are stuck at 100% of downloading and won't go further.
I have managed to fix my issue with apps failing to update via Play Store. The instructions attached with files are not complete.
The point with replacing the MiuiPackageInstaller is only to install modified Updater.apk. To do it correctly:
- after installing the ROM - backup the original MiuiPackageInstaller somewhere
- put the one from Google Drive into /system/priv-app/MiuiPackageInstaller directory
- reboot to system
- install Updater.apk
- reboot to recovery
- restore original MiuiPackageInstaller
- reboot to system
Now Play Store works just fine.
Thanks

Lineage Recovery is a minimal recovery that works.
Guide:
1. Unlock your bootloader and disable AVB (Guide Thread)
2. Go to download mode
3. Put the TAR archive to AP slot in Odin and click start.
4. Reboot to recovery via recovery key combo.
Magisk (8ca5a048) is included. To flash it, use Apply update - > Choose from root, then go to .builtin folder.
Working:
Standard recovery functions
ADB root shell access and sideload
External SD card access
Side note: Use flash.jesec.io to sideload. (Sources).
Not working:
Encryption/Decryption (Internal storage NOT accessible)

Ok thank you
Never used that and always used TWRP.
What are the thoughts on this recovery?
I installed this on g988b model. But got stuck in a download mode loop.
I was already magisk rooted, so probably my fault......
Should I just start again with clean original firmware? I'm sure it was because I was already rooted.....
Sent from my SM-G965F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
do we need to install magisk that's provided with the recovery or can we just flash patched boot.img after flashing recovery?
also can we access data partition with this recovery? for example if we want to delete a magisk module that's causing a bootloop? these modules are stored within data partition.

You can port the recovery to a51?

With a rooted (as per jesec's tutorial) S20+5G, what exactly needs to be done to flash the Lineage Recovery?
That is, I already have a modified boot image as a result of the rooting/flashing process, does that image need to be flashed again after the Recovery?

Backup/Restore
Hi!
First things first; Awesome job, works like a charm without any problems at all. Easy installation and straightforward instructions. Thanks!
I have a small question, though; Is there a backup/restore hidden somewhere that I've missed or is this an upcoming feature? It would be great to have it and not start from scratch when something gets nuked....
And since this is Linage, is there a possibility there's a complete OS coming up in the future?
Thanks!
BTW: I can't get your donor link to work...
Edit: Read the "Not working". Says "Can't read internal storage". My bad.
lineage recovwry requieres a lineage rom ? can i flash it on a stock rooted rom ?

Flashing Instructions for MIUI 12
Note that these are generic flashing instructions that should generally be applicable across Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices. However, there is a possibility that there is a variation that is unique to your device, so we strongly advise visiting your device forums for device-specific instructions .
Recovery ROM Installation
Recovery ROMs come with a .zip file extension and can be installed either through the Local Update method from within MIUI, or through the Xiaomi stock recovery. You can also use a custom recovery like TWRP for installing these ROMs, though do note that device-specific instructions may differ in that case.
Local Update method:
Transfer the download .zip file to your phone, and ensure you place the file in the “downloaded_rom” folder in the internal storage of your device. If no such folder exists, create one in your internal storage base directory.
Within your phone, navigate to Settings > About Phone > System Update, and then press the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, and select “Choose Update Package”.
If the “Choose Update Package” option is missing, tap on the MIUI logo 10 times to activate the option.
Choose the downloaded .zip file.
Wait for the update to install.
Recovery method:
Rename the downloaded .zip file to update.zip and transfer it to the base directory of your phone’s internal storage.
Reboot your phone into recovery mode by powering it off and then pressing both the Power and the Volume Up buttons together.
Scroll to the “Install update.zip” option using the volume keys, and select the option using the power button.
Wait for the update to install.
Choose the “Reboot” option if your phone does not reboot by itself after installation is completed.
