Has anyone used the steelie car mount with the monarch case? Looking at pictures online, I'm not sure you could get a magnet to stick on the back and be flush.

Anyone know what hard case will work with a the car dock? I am looking at getting both for my atrix but i want to make sure that im not tossing money down the drain on either. I DONT want to take the case off everytime i use the car dock either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance guys.
As far as I know, the only cases that have been shown to work with the car dock are the scrapped project moto ruggedized case and the rearth ringke cases. Neither are hard cases though.

I should revise my previous statement. The ringke case fits as well as the incipio feather (hard case) was said to fit. It seats into the car dock, activates car mode, but the top clip doesn't sit in front of the screen.

I'm using a Ram Mount with my otterbox defender, and this app. Works great, other than my one problem with the defender case.

This is mine.
I use the Body Glove Mirage case with the HD, Car, and Lap dock. There are inserts on all of them that need to be removed (or not installed in the case of the car dock). That is all it took. Sorry, I forgot to say, it isn't a hard case but it works for me.

Anyone have this car mount? Wondering if it'll fit the S3 with a TPU case.
I have never liked otter boxes holster so while trying to figure out what to do with it I decided to turn it into a GPS mount. I bout a GPS mount for about $5 off amazon then just duct taped the holster onto it and bravo! You now got a cheap and easy galaxy s 3 car mount.

I thought about doing the same thing with the Seidio holster because I like the hinged clip it has but the holster itself is so expensive

Didnt find any leather holster case for Droid Maxx but got variety of leather pouches...at amazon and ebay and I hope its hard to find holster one of leather making..but still if you find the link do share as I too want to get to know about that case....
I've been looking at purchasing one of these magnetic phone mounts to use with my Pixel 2 xl. Has anyone used it with a case? Specifically between the phone and the case. I currently have the Otter Box Symmetry case on the phone.
I don't have magnetic, but really like my Scosche vent mount!
I use one with my case and I've found that it doesn't work that great unless the case is very thin. Your best options are to either put it on the outside of the case and ruin the looks of it or buy a case with the magnetic plate built in like the Pitaka case .
