[ROM] [7.1.2] jancokOS [OMS] [10/09/2017] - Xiaomi Mi 5 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Dev

This is my first project in android development world, and i should say thank to OnePlus which make a very developing friendly phone that can encourage me to try developing my own ROM for my own phone. Huge thanks to LineageOS (Cyanogenmod) which is the first toward custom ROM development.
After all that background talking, now let's cut to the part of this ROM. ROM is build based on CAF and adding feature based from Paranoid Android, Dirty Unicorns, LineageOS and CypherOS.
Feature List:
1. Network speed indicator
2. Button customization
3. Battery style customization
4. Signature spoofing (microG support)
5. PA's color engine
6. PA's pocket lock and accidental touch
7. Substratum support

Hahahaha.. that name.. ??

Greetings.
Screenshots and features details are welcomed

wow indonesian dev here... awesome, if so bring O plz

The tittle "micorG" is a bit confusing. Does the ROM com preinstalled with microG or it's the signature spoofing support you mean?

Great Indonesian Dev, I will try and tested,
I wish you continuesly develop your rom as CAF based rom really rare and good, as CAF primarily release for Snapdragon SOC.
Right now I'm using CypherOS 4.1.1 made by unknown Indo dev too. I hope he made his own thread too.

I found this rom about one week ago in the AFH its good rom and everything fast and smooth
Battery isn't bad just ok
I'm interested in caf it's really good . . .

Sorry for the misunderstanding part. MicroG removed from thread title. It's been written in feature list as signature spoofing.

Can't access sim cards when selected in settings. But from data usage I can access cellular networks and change network settings. Only drawback can't select preferred sim for calling/ data / SMS.

I have family who have Mi 5 so why not making ROM for him. You're mistaken this ROM first published on Oneplus 3 thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/oneplus-3--3t-cross-device-development/jancokos-oneplus3-t-oms-t3641899), but yeah this ROM still my first development project.

Hey, nice job, man. Finally someone had the guts to make a pure AOSP.
I will keep an eye on this for sure.

Today I have made two new ROMs, but both of them act like the first ROM I made
There are TOO MUCH differences between AOSP and CM, Omni, etc, lots of board configs need to be migrate, besides, most of the overlays in CM&Omni cannot be used in pure AOSP, so maybe I have to migrate several CM functions to make it usable.
Both of them need lots of time, so please be patient if you want this ROM recently

Would this support the same type of layer theming?

Gonna test out tomorrow. I'm running this rom on my son's 2012 Nexus 7 and it's great.
Just a few questions.
I've been using twrp 2.8.1.1 for a while with zero issues. Is it OK to continue with this rom?
Is the tether provisioning blocked from t-mobile?
Does this support double tap to wake up?
Thanks.

There is some tether dun mod that needs to be done in order to block your tether usage from tmobile and it's only viewed as regular data usage. Also the apn settings need to be modified to ipv 4 only, not 4&6 and not 6 at all.
The double tap to sleep was built into the nexus 9 and was an app Download for my Nexus 6. Usually it has to be included in a kernel from what I understand.

[ROM] [5.1.x] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 Updated (Z00D)

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Thanks for this rom. There is a slight problem i found. One of it is, when i charge the phone and it reached 80%, the notification led turns to yellow. Shouldn't the led still be red? And another one is, when the phone is on offline charging mode, the usual battery indicator doesn't appear, instead a big green empty battery with a question mark in it appears. Please verify if this problem happened to any of you. Thank you and sorry for english.

Yes, it is necessary. You can update from previous cm12.1 only if you already have last firmware, otherwise it will not work consistently.
This ROM was built using .126 blobs, drivers and kernel, so you are required to update the firmware to .126.

I did not compare that. You can test it by yourself. If it's worse - i'll do something with cpu scaling in next build.
Op, this is it. Couldn't get ril to work yet, as I mentioned. However, it's ridiculously fast in comparison to 5.1 so I guess it's worth the shot.
Is that 6.0 for zood? Is that a dream?! Man, I hope you'll manage to get ril working

No more LineageOS support for this device?

Hi everyone,
I just recently checked to see if we got a new LineageOS 14.1 update for our device off their site and found this commit: https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/198266/
So it seems that the person who was maintaining this device no longer has the time to support it anymore, so it seems we won't be getting any more official love from LineageOS. Is anyone aware of a 14.1 or possibly even a 15.0/15.1 release for this device that is being worked on? I've had this device since it came out in 2012 and it's amazing it's able to run 7.1 without issue and would love to keep its life going with Oreo!
Well , that's shame !!
They removed all galaxy S3 USA from the website , so because that I couldn't download the last version of lineageOS 14.1 . which in December 4,2017 !!
Now , we have 2 choices :
1- Reporting the support to give us just the last version of lineageOS 14.1 , Wich in December 4 ,2017 .
2- It's time to looking for new custom rom , like Rabon Rom or Team OctOS or Slim Rom.. whatever.

Any roms for this device we're based on LineageOS, so...
We need a new maintainer.
Also, Sources are still available, so you can still build it yourself.

You don't have to be a programmer. It's easier than you think.

by the way
I have been searching for the best alternative of lineageOS , because I was trying to connect with the support to make them bring me at least the last version of lineageOS 14.1 , but unfortunately I found that they have rules in which includes " asking for device support " so you can't report about it , also they deleted this device from list of "create Issue" , so they want to make sure you won't report bout it and closing the case .
So , I found Roms that will be the best alternative of lineageOS and they have weekly updates and good reviews from the users , in which are :
1) CarbonRom (based on AOSP !)
2)OctOS
3)Mokee Roms
4)SlimRoms
Because of them , this device still has a future !!
so.. thank you for your hard work and I hope you the best
Forever s3
Thank goodness for CarbonRom. DO NOT ABANDON THIS DEVICE. Literally the best phone ever.
Per Changelog LineageOS needs a maintainer got d2: https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/198266

I don't think they will find a new maintainer , also remember they removed this device from the whole website !

The sources are still there. Devices are removed and re added when a new maintainer steps up all the time.

Carbon for this device is based on lineage. I imagine they will keep building as long as the rom actually builds. As soon as it fails to build they will probably stop. No one is adding commits anymore so future changes will eventually break it.
I'm looking for a replacement OS for the phone too. I found this (I can't post actual link due to being a new member on XDA)
google search: "MoKee Open Source Downloads Samsung Galaxy S III (Sprint) Model - d2spr"
Has anyone heard of this before?

yeah , I had been tried MoKee Roms on my LG G2 vs980 and also galaxy s3 sph-l710 .
in fact , this rom was simple and smooth , but it has some bugs such as the battery was draining so fast ,the statues of phone won't open and some times the system gets slow .
there were some customs I didn't like it for example , the xposed app and the Aeigs ( just in my opinion) , but the good thing in this rom it's has a weekly updates and also you can report bugs .
here some screenshots : :good:

note :
few days ago , I was trying the other custom roms and I found great roms , like CarbonRom , octos Rom , and off course the MoKee Rom :good:
Been using the Mokee Rom for a few weeks now. So far I really like the OS and updates for Monthly Android security. Very similar to Lineage ......RIP
Mokee is now RIP also: https://download.mokeedev.com/?device=d2spr&type=unofficial
If anyone has the latest, might be worth uploading for others.

I think you have missed out GZOSP. I have just flashed it, and, so far, it proving to be the leanest and smoothest ROM that I have ever run on my vince. But these are early days yet. I am going to test a few other Pie ROMs before making a final decision.
PS: the OP for the ROM thread shows Oreo, but the "About" page in the ROM shows Android 9.

Really thankful for your help bro! The OREO tag mislead me not to add it. Anyways, OP is now updated. Hope you list the bugs to help me later??

The only (relatively minor) problem that I have seen so far is that the screen will be a bit dark unless you increase the brightness to around 85%. This is probably an issue with the kernel.
It is early days yet. Let's see how I feel in a few days time.

It is good you want people to experience every rom, but atleast ask the guy who made it, if he wants it up everywhere? I took down that build because OTA was still under testing, so kindly remove it for now.

Well the choice is completely yours. None of the roms are perfect, atleast untill the time for Android Q roms comes. The best part is, you can try out and choose the best ROM for yourself.
Most people and me including, prefer Aex as it is smooth and stable.
