300 dollar credit at ATT - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Accessories

If you turn in a working phone to ATT with a value of 20$ you get 300$ of store credit. I know there is a time limit so y'all better hurry.

i can confirm i traded in my verizon moto z play droid for the credit on launch day

Phone has to have a trade in value of at least $20 though

I was told I'd get a $200 account credit by the tech at the AT&T store for my Note 4. I have no need for any store credit, I have everything I want already, I had my case and screen protector preordered, and already have the S2 watch. They told me I had to take the $300 credit and I made a fuss - ended up with the $200 account credit and $100 store credit. I spent it on a little bluetooth speaker, the Wonderboom.

I got 300.00 for my note 4. Applied it to bill credits.

I went into the store. They applied the credit right then, got a new VR, some LG wireless headphones and $430 in bill credits.

I did mine in the store too. I would have preferred it as a credit against my bill, but they wouldn't do that. They applied part of it to tax on the phone, and then got a Gear S3 Frontier for $49, Beats X earbuds, and the leather wireless charger... both of which were also discounted from their normal crazy prices. Net was about $25 more I had to kick in. My trade in was a mint condition Galaxy S5. I am so glad I got the Gear S3, because I was coming from iPhone w/AW, and I love the Gear S3.

If they extended the promotion, why not buy one of them $40 phones to trade and keep your Note 4 for a backup device?

Still active, turned in my iPhone 6+ last Friday and got $300 credit at an AT&T Store. Made out like a bandit... put $200 on the phone as a down payment and the rest was on accessories. (2 USB-C Cables 6FT, one wall jack and a case), Unfortunately, AT&T didn't have a 256GB MicroSD card at the moment so, I bought one on eBay lol.

I turned in a perfectly working s5 and they send me a gift card for $6. Never again crooks

Yeah, I wonder as well. I think that it's probably an AT&T question though.
Its not actually $200 off, its a guaranteed $200 trade-in for any working phone. Sure, it mathematically comes out the same in the end, but without a phone to trade, you don't get the $200.
It says in there "come back on 10/10 for the trade in", it still works until then.

I'm a bit confused. What are the participating retailers?
Where exactly can we trade in our old smartphones?
does it include blackberry curve as a smartphone? thats my question.

Something new on the promotion site from the last time I saw it; Best Buy customers go in-store to redeem instantly. Also in the fine print it states Best Buy customers do not need to submit the form, so it looks like we can get it from Best Buy without the inconvenience of waiting 6-8 weeks for the rebate check.
Can you apply the BB gift card to the note 4 purchase if you are buying it outright?

Best Buy has their own trade in promotion that gives you an instant $200 gift card when buying a Note 4.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/samsung-galaxy-note-4-128435
So I went to Best Buy and asked one of their phone guys, about this. He said that basically you pre-order the phone (if you do it online it has to be for in store pick up, which is not available yet on their website). Then when you come into the store to pick up the phone, you can bring in any other working smart phone. Cannot have damage to it. And they need the battery and charger with it too. They will give you a 200$ credit/gift card. That can be used towards the purchase price of the phone. They will apparently let you buy the phone outright too, which I have had issues, doing with them in the past. But now with the mobile share value plans and Next and all it looks like they may have changed their tune about that finaly.
Interesting thing is that it looks like their price is 25$ cheaper than AT&T.

The Note series has always been expensive. Nothing new here. Plus you can get an old phone and turn it in with a preorder and get 200$ off. Then there are subsidies or things like Next. Very few people still pay up front for the full phone cost so they don't care.

HTML:
Did anyone else catch the $749 price through Amazon.com before they raised it to 829 and now 799?
Looks like Amazon is shipping their AT&T Note 4 on the 17th versus AT&T's 14th date.
One thing to thing about though is that you will be charged $40 activation free. When I buy it from ATT they always wave this fee so it becomes just about the same price as getting it from Amazon.

I've bought outright from Amazon many times and I never incurred an activation fee. Maybe if I bought them with a contract, but definitely not outright. I just ordered my Note 4 about 20 minutes ago from Amazon. I paid the $799 plus tax, but that was it. When I get it I'll just pop in my AT&T sim and I'll be good to go. If by any chance there is a $40 activation fee, I'll just have AT&T waive it.
EDIT: I think I know why you got charged an activation fee now. I contacted Amazon and AT&T and they said I do not pay any activation fees because of my discount. That makes sense. Does your AT&T account receive a FAN discount of any kind? If not, then activation fees automatically charge to the account.
Only discount I receive is my 24% work discount on my data plan.

Did you activate anything? New lines of service? I've bought several phones from different retailers at full price, popped in my AT&T SIM, and had service immediately. No activation fees, no fuss - there were no changes to my account, I didn't contact AT&T, they didn't contact me, etc.
Your right! I forgot that we ported over 2 number at the time we bought the note 3s.
Oddly, their site doesn't offer the AT&T Next options for the Note 4 ("AT&T Next not available for this device"). I did a chat with customer service but they had no explanation.

[Q] Best Buy Showing Note 4 Verizon version as $349 today.

I've been looking at the pre-order page on BB to see if the Verizon version was available to pre-order online. Last night the price showed as $299 on contract and not yet available. Today it shows $349 on contract and not yet available. Did they up the price or is this just an error?
Wont let me post a link to it...
crap that isnt good. i was hoping $699 for off contract. crap time to sell more stuff!
still $699 at verizon! yay
Hopefully that is not the price in store as well.
Its still cheaper than verizon considering that they will accept my htc rezound as a trade in phone while verizonwireless will not.
Just hope I get some one who knows how to transfer an upgrade from one phone number to another.

What worst is that no more pre order for Verizon note 4 from BestBuy. I went to BB today and their system can't do pre order for Verizon N4 and so is the website, however, you still can preorder note4 with AT&T...
Maybe it's an error in their system?
Up to this day you have not been able to preorder via best buys website.
I preordered my Verizon note 4 (white) last Friday and my wife preordered her Verizon note 4 (also white) yesterday (Monday) without any issues. The phone is $299, $100 after trading in ANY working smart phone that isn't damaged (cracked screen, turns on, no water damage). There is NO minimum trade in value required unlike the Samsung promotion ($10 minimum value). They make you buy a $50 gift card as a "place holder" for the phone, you have 48 hours to pick up the phone after it arrives otherwise they will sell it to someone else. All gift cards purchased (the $50 place holder) and the $200 one you receive for trading in a phone, can all be used toward the purchase of the phone immediately.
I have spoke to the store manager, customer service, the Verizon and Samsung reps at the store. The customer service rep did say you need to bring in the charger for it, the others did not say that. I'm going to bring mine in either way. I also took their names down in case they try to pull a fast one. I suggest anyone else does the same so there are no surprises when the phone arrives.
Good luck
I'll put chargers in my car, but I'm not bringing them in unless they make noise about it. My store just said charged working phones without water or cracked screen damage.

[Q] ATT and Samsung promotion, Best buy trade-in ?

I have a question. I am thinking to buy the Note 4 in the following manner
1) Pre-order the Note 4 on ATT website by selecting ATT Next 12 and adding a new line (this makes me eligible for a $100 credit )
2) Trade-in my old iPhone 4S at Bestbuy (value shown is around $40)
3) The difference amount i.e (200-40=160$) will be paid by Samsung ?
In this way I am having a savings of $300. Am I missing something here ? Please help
Thank You
Needs to be traded to the retailer where you're preordering
Does it state that in the fine print? Anyways AT&T is giving me 0 value for my 4S whereas bestbuy is offering me atleast 40$. So i am really confused what to do. I can't order from Bestbuy as Store pickup is required.

"Store pickup is required"??? Where are you getting your information from? When I have attempted to pre-order from Best Buy, I am told the pre-orders can only be SHIPPED to my home. There is no store pickup option. I know this because I actually prefer store pickup for my circumstances, but Best Buy will not give the option if you pre-order online. Now, if you go into a store and do it... that's another issue.

Yes. Looks like you have the proper steps as outlined here https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/Note4/
As long as Best Buy is an official trade in site...although I believe Sprint offers a little more in trade-in value. Which if it is the same Iphone 4S at AT&T listed here https://secure.sprintbuyback.com/cns/device_list...it is worth $202. Or it looks like it is worth $100 to AT&T...then you would only be waiting on $100 check from Samsung.
Best buy has a "deal" going on now.trade in any "working" smart phone get $200 on preorder note 4.

This is legit, traded in a prepay cheap Windows phone I had laying around and got the $200 gift card plus an extra $50 bucks for signing up in the early part of the year promising to upgrade through best buy. Put the whole gift card towards my pre-order of the nexus 9 ?
Preordered my att note 4 from best buy 10/18.picked it up 10/25 at store.put $50 down.they gave me gift card to use toward purchase.at time of p/u,I gave them a used galaxy S2(i777).they gave me $200 toward purchase of note 4.that gave me $250 toward the $299 note 4.after taxes it was $73+ I paid them.waiting to see if there is any fees beside activation thru att.this was a standard 2 year upgrade.
no trouble with my trade-in phone.
no questions asked.it turned on.they checked numbers to make sure it wasn't stolen.and that was it.I bought that phone with broke screen and bad charge port.fixed both.used couple a couple of weeks.

I just came back from Best Buy and the sale representative told me to come back on 10/17 to trade in any working smart phone to get a$200 Best Buy gift card. Is this true? Do I have to wait another 10 days to do this?

Yes it is only effective up till the day of the release. So what i would recommend doing is pre-ordering it since this is required to get the $200 gift card. Then when you pick up the pre-order you will get a $200 gift card.
I plan to get the Verizon model. So if I come in on October 18, I would not be able to get that $200 deal of trading in an old smart phone?

Im interested in this promotion as well, but not if it is only for a $200 Best Buy gc. The promo made it sound like Samsung cuts you a check for $200.

The phone is going to cost you $299. You use the gift card toward the phone. You still have to pay the difference. You'll walk away with $99 less cash either way.
There is no "minimum" value on the smart phone you are trading in to qualify with using the Best Buy trade in promotion when you preorder the note 4. Preorders must be done by october16th. They will take ANY working smartphone that does not have a cracked screen, water damage and must be able to turn on.
The samsung promotion does require that you trade in a smart phone that is worth $10+ to a authorized retailer (amazon, verizon store, att store etc).
Hope this helps
My apologies if this has been answered already, but if we have already preordered from best buy can i still go in and trade in a phone for the $200 rebate?

Can we trade in a rooted phone with a custom ROM? I really don't feel like figuring out how to restore a 4 or 5 year old phone.
I don't see any language in the promotion that it can't be modified or anything. My guess, is they care less if it is rooted or has a custom ROM.
I wouldn't worry about it.
So does this deal mean you have to sign a new contract? I'm with Verizon on grandfather plan with a note 3 so would I be able to get the note 4 without a new contract
