what is maximum output my mi max hydrogen support anybody can tell !! 5v/9v/12v/20v

My original battery has "inflated" and has raised my mi max glass ... now there is a small space between the front glass and the "bottom box" of my mi max (sorry for my bad english) ... anybody had a similar issue ?
(maybe my original battery has "inflated" because I am charging my mi max on my network router usb port ... it doesn't have a big power output and charges my mi max slowly ... anybody has an opinion on that ? )
I ordered a nohon bm49 battery on aliexpress ( https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/2017...-Phone-Replacement-Batteries/32823863660.html ) because it was the most sold one so I figured out there might be less risk ... anybody has an advice on a good battery I could buy for next time ?
On the above aliexpress link there seems to be rather detailed explanations on how to change the battery ... any caveat I should pay attention to ?
Thanks folks in advance !

I messed it up : as my screen/front glass was already getting out I thought I should continue to pull the screen (instead of the "bottom box") and I "managed" to damage some screen connector in the process before I realized my mistake : now my mi max has a new battery but the screen is half working
(looks like I also messed sthg with the volume buttons which look like they also no longer work)
so changing the battery on a mi max might not be easy for everyone (at least it wasn't for me ...)
the Nohon battery and the included tools look fine though ...
... there was a 3M adhesive but it seems to be adhesive on one side only (which seemed a little weird to me, I thought it would be more usefull if it could "stick" the battery to the phone but it is not really necessary to stick the battery to the phone)
Now which replacement should I get ?
I'd like a 6.1-6.4 inch phone not too big/heavy and not too expensive ...
PS :
I think I ll wait for black friday or cyber monday
Now a mi max 2 is around 150E with a coupon on GB
and a mi max 1 Helium is around 220E on BG (I think I prefer the mix max 1 to the mi max 2 ... and I also have a spare mi max 1 battery ...)

[Q]OnePlus 3 to 3T parts upgrade.

Hey guys, Deepesh this side, a month back my OnePlus 3's screen got broke and I was left with a broken display phone. Recently a friend of mine informed me about a new device which showed up at his office for R&D purposes. Its the OnePlus 3T sent for testing purposes, I'm still unaware that is it the 64GB variant or the 128GB one. Anyways, he can bring a piece for me and I can change parts with it for my current OnePlus 3 phone, preferable only display. So my question is is this possible for me to change as many parts as possible!?
I would have changed the whole phone but I don't want my IMEI changed and also I don't like the gunmetal color and MOST importantly, development of 3 is better than 3T as of now.
So for now all I'm gonna change is the display/touch panel, internal memory(if possible) and battery(+400mAh). I would love to change the front camera module too(+8MP) as its easy and worthful but that would need different cam drivers and that would be a pain in my ass to edit every ROM for my needs.
So all I wanna finally ask is is all this above possible in the long run?
How shall we know if it works? I personally highly doubt it. The battery needs a driver, too. Also the frontcam needs other drivers than the One of our op3. I think, either you take the whole phone, which I would recommend and do, or you will have to order a display for the op3.
If I just change the battery it'll not work? Its just a higher capacity nothig else changed!
Batteries aren't compatible between the two. At least that's what Jeff on OnePlus LiveChat said to me yesterday, probably something to do with it's increased voltage. Maybe if you replace the charging port (USB-C) too. Then there's the PCB... You can check how to do it here. If you decide to go ahead and try it please report here. I'm guessing a lot of people would like to know if it's possible.
Screen should actually be very easy to replace as they're both the same panels.
You can take OP3T's screen and that's it (because it's the same).
Internal memory - forget it, it's soldered.
Battery - won't work. It's actually physically the same, not bigger. The difference is in voltage (firmware).
Camera - similar situation, you'd need new drivers.
Tl;dr: you can't change some parts and not the others, either you have an OP3 or an OP3T.
Might as well just take all OP3T parts and put them into OP3's case, if you prefer that color. Obviously you'll get new IMEI, but that can be manually changed back.
Sent from my OnePlus 3 using Tapatalk
Also a quote from reddit
I think it will work just fine because the phone charges until a certain voltage is reached. So the nominal Wh of the OP3T battery in OP3 will be 12.92Wh instead of 13.09Wh (that the battery of OP3T is capable of). Now, the OP3 has 11.4Wh so it will be an improvement.

The higher battery will work, but you won't be able to charge it to full capacity. You can ask Moxie if he can make you a kernel that will charge to 4.4V though. 😊

Replacement display and battery recommendations

I've been using the OnePlus One for three years now. And it still works just fine. But my display is kinda damaged, has screen burn issues that developed recently.
Also the battery life dropped from being at 7 hours or so to 3-3.5 hours. So that's a minus.
Gonna change both the battery and display. Would like some recommendations. '-'

Display is about 30€ in chinese shops. The biggest problem I think it's the battery replacement. I've bought one but the mah is not like the original cause, by what I've read, Oneplus doesn't produce it anymore and you can find old batteries in the shops. I've bought other three batteries of different brands, I'm waiting for them. However there is a tweak to modify a ZTE Blade x3 battery for the Oneplus One.

Can you link me to a good quality display that you might know of? I live in Bangladesh, so Asia/Chinese shops are okay for me!
And as for battery, I've found a local store which sells the battery. They say it's "Good quality" but not original. Not sure about the mAh. Will look into that later.
I'd like a recommendation for a screen replacement as well. There are a lot of displays on AliExpress for less than 20$ , do you think can't of these are good?

What tweak do you mean? Bought 3 different batteries and all were worse than original...
for battery problem I think the best way to go to service centre because all of the batterys available online isnt genuine so perfomance from that is more lesser than your 3yrs old battery!i just recently visited service centre with my oneplus one and replacing the battery,i dont know what will be the outcome,i will keep posted once got device with new battery handson!
I tested 3 different Oneplus one display replacements from Aliexpress, all of the prices are more or less same (around 25-30USD) but the quality is so different.
Grade C: Awful display (so pale and dark) and awful very thin touch panel and fragile flex cable)
Grade B: Good quality display but awful very thin touch panel, fragile flex cable (same as C)
Grade A: Good quality display and very thick strong touch panel and durable flex cable. Frankly unless you compare this with the original one side by side, probably you cannot tell difference a lot. ( I have two OPOs! )
I cannot add a link yet as a new XDA user, but I bought this “Grade A” Oneplus One screen replacement from "raugee Official Store" at Aliexpress.
"Oneplus One LCD Display+Touch Screen With Frame Test Good Digitizer Glass Panel Accessory Replacement For One plus One 64/16GB" Without Frame $27.99. With Frame $37.99 4.9 rating, nearly 250 orders. I bought this display without Frame.
I have got a replace "OEM" battery from ReplaceBase (UK) recently So far, it is a great quality but as an UK based shop, it would be suitable for European users.
Hope it helps. Good Luck.
I recommend buying the display as a standalone (without frame) and attaching the frame yourself.
Displays with frame pre-attached tend to be lower quality than if you just buy the display.
Hi..
I think there is no original display or battery. This phone almost few years ago and the new one is 6th gen of oneplus (one plus 6 i mean).
But i have an experienced about this case. Both, battery and display. I had replacement both. Buy from local online shop, and yup..the battery size smaller than original. Customer feedback always says 15% battery auto shutdown. And when it charge, shows 15% and up.
But i have a solution, and it works fine until now. I dont guarantee it works on other device but it works on my oneplus one.
After replacement battery, use it until force shut down. Try to power up until it shut down. Charge untill 100% with power off,and disconnect the charger. Turn on your phone and battery will says 99%. Charge it until 100% and shut down the phone. Disconnect charger and charge again until 100%. Do it over and over again until it says 100% when you turn on the phone without charger connected.
I try it 5 times and the 6th tried,i turn on the phone and battery shows 100%. It works fine 5-6 hours with daily usage.
Battery wont automatically shut down when 15%,but in 10%. I tried that method again (fyuuh..) and and the result battery shows 5% and shut down automatically.
I always tried use this method when my phone automatically shutdown. I never turn off my phone when it says under 10%.
And today my phone works fine, until the battery shows 1% and it still alive... (Woooow...).
I dont have any theory about my method, but i think i must calibrate the battery sensor because OEM battery dont have good sensor same as original. It looks stupid but it works on my phone,so?? Try it..
Oh... This battery sale almost $8 in my local online shop. Seller said this is original battery... Is it possible original part sale in $8?? In my country, oneplus doesnt have a legal store. All product use distributor to sale in my country.
Yeah, its a long story about the battery. And now i have a story about the LCD. Yup... I bought the lcd in local online shop only $20 ( again) and blablablabla (teardown method using youtube for the tutorial) and the big difference is backside of the lcd. The original one there is cooper sticker in right and left the lcd and the OEM doesnt have. OEM LCD connector loger than original one and the size is smaller.
Skip... And turn on the phone..... Yup....
Lcd color more "bluish" i mean the color more blue than original one. And the brightness is the biggest problem. Full brightness on OEM LCD as same as half brightness on original one (compared with my friends OPO)
Touch and blablabla works fine, but the brightness still annoying. When you slide the brightness to left, you cant see anything.... yeah....anything..... Too dark.
And now i order the new one from china store (aliexpress) and it takes 2 weeks until arrived in my country. $30 from china store and i hope it better than the local one.
I will give a report as soon as possible when it arrived. And give a storytale again in this thread...hahahahahaha.
Sorry for my english,

Front camera recessed, backlight bleeding in

Hello,
I have just bought a Redmi Note 9 Pro (International Model) and noticed that there is a gap between the front camera and the cutout (see pictures). This causes the LCD backlight to bleed into the camera module which manifests in a pretty unusable front "flash" selfies. The gap is about as thick as the screen glass would be, so there might even be no gap, but just that the edges of the glass aren't painted black to isolate the backlight.
I want to ask if this is normal for this model or should the camera module be completely isolated from the LCD backlight?
Also, what charger is delivered with this phone because I've only got a 18W one and thought that 33W charger should go with the Pro model?
that is not normal, get it replaced. light distribution around the notch is a mess, but that kind of light bleed should be fit for replacement.
the global Redmi Note 9 Pro (almost similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro MAX in india) only comes with 33W charger. Redmi Note 9S(sold as Redmi Note 9 Pro in india) comes with 22W charger

Thank you for the reply.
Went to the shop and they've confirmed that it should be replaced. Since the whole process would take a few days, I'll drop the phone off after the holidays.
Edit: On the other hand, light distribution around the punch hole is pretty good with this defect when compared to the demo unit on display at the shop.
1. As said above, get phone replaced.
2. My phone came with a full speed charger, not sure why you got an 18w charger with it.

1. Phone sent for replacement.
2. It looks like the EU version (at least in my country) comes with a 22.5W charger, same as the 9S which was a bit strange in both cases... The 18W one I have is a replacement (got mine refurbished, not new).

Question Rog 6 Experience

Hows everyone's experience with the rog 6? can it run global rom and will google assistant work with it?
Bricked Stupid update procedure
Doesn't all android phones nowadays work with Google Assistant?
My ROG2 and ROG6 has Google Assistant but I always disable them.
I thought Google requires/mandates all OEM so include some specific Android features and Google-made apps.

They do and I also always disable it too along with a tonof other things from Google. Google Assistant is basically spyware along with most of the other junk from Google. Result is improved privacy and increased device performance/battery life.

That's true but also happens with all company's
The company I trust the less: Apple.
Has been a beautiful experience for me. Most smooth smartphone experience i have ever had. Battery king, performance king, and the only weakness ROG phones have ever had has been fixed with the new sensor - speaking of the camera of course.
with the camera now finally usable, it is the complete package for me. After successfully converting my CN device to WW, i think im staying with this one for a while and selling my S22 Ultra.
you would need to be very careless and not read through instructions / forum threads to brick your device, flashing WW raw files is as simple as a button click.
How do speakers loudness & quality compare with:
- any previous ROG phones
- S22 ultra (just kidding)

The battery life you should be able to achieve with a hardcore debloated and battery optimized ROG 6 should be ridiculous high. My ROG 5 & 3 easily do multiple days on a full charge with data on and normal screen time and can do a week+ on standby with data on as a reference. I haven't bothered measuring the max screen time I get out of them. ROG 6 running on the latest 8+ Gen 1 chipset allegedly has significantly improved power consumption stats - which should result in great battery time even if not heavily optimized and monster results if optimized with battery performance in mind.
Can't wait for my rog 6 pro to arrive. Shipping starts 09.01 .
Imagine developers on xda tweaking the back panel to show battery life/ram or even using own gifs as animation on the back side. I will definitely create some wallpapers or gifs for rom developers as contribution. Not to bad if there isn't any development as the the device is still amazing af.
Hint 1: The device sadly doesn't come with a preinstalled screen protector. But there is one you can purchase on the Asus store.
Hint 2: The devilcase actually has a transparent plastic area so the backside is actually fully protected. (even if it doesn't look like that on the store pictures)
I initially wanted to buy the Redmagic 7s pro but I've noticed too many downsides. Even tho i was pretty satisfied with my red magic 5g over the years.
Rog 6 pro
1. Has better battery life.
2. No translation issues in the software.
3. Water resistance to a specific grade.
4. Brighter screen
5. Higher refreshrate.
6. Better speakers.
7. Two Usb C ports
8. Better camera quality
9. Back panel for visuals
10. More trigger functionality
11. Preorder includes the cooling fan
12. Better network reception and WiFi connectivity for sure
13. HDR10+ support
14. better fine-tuning for custom game presets.
On the other hand the red magic 7s pro has:
1. highest possible performance of the sd 8 + gen1 out of the box without an external cooler.
2. Game core to offload gaming related inputs from the Snapdragon soc.
3. less bezels
4. faster charging
5. aprox 400-600 € cheaper compared to rog 6 pro
Hard choice tho. I've chosen rog 6 pro just because red magic still didn't fix translations issues. I've even seen translation issues on a German youtube review of the red magic 7s pro. What a shame

Its a no contest for me , ROG 6 wins purely because of massive battery and the samsung panel, not to mention the camera.
Also, i can confirm the device DOES have preinstalled screen protector. I bought two devices (CN 256GB and Global 512GB) and they both had it.

Hi, I can confirm it's working on the sided USB-C with Dell USB-C docking station - Dell D3100.
It does work with:
- HDMI signal -> HDMI switch -> Samsung 32"
- mouse Logitech G604
- keyboard G915 does not always work.
- soundcard Creative X G6
It was without Aerocooler with I'm selling since I don't play games. I just wanted to have a fast, smooth smartphone with 512GB of memory to replace my Oneplus 7 Pro 12/256 (it's such a great phone BTW).
Maybe I'm impatient and can't wait for the global version to start shipping but can someone who owns the devil case for rog phone 6 or 6 pro measure the scope vertically and horizontally with the case installed please? I want to order a custom phone bag and don't want to wait for the device to arrive.
I'd be very grateful Thanks!

ROG 6 imo based on stability, battery size and screen from Samsung which is really good.
The thing 7s Pro has is faster charging (it you need that fast) and longer software support which is nice. This software is less good though and less stable (have used the 7)

Question Would a <$300 256GB 11 Lite 5G NE be a good upgrade to my mother's Redmi Note 8 Pro

Hello. My mother's Redmi Note 8 Pro is a little over 3 years old and starting to make some problems, such as the microphone cutting out while making phone calls.
She's talked about replacing it a couple of times but whenever something is suggested she thinks it's not good enough if the screen isn't (considerably) bigger, which won't be unless it's a tablet.
My father and I have also suggested the Samsung A73 5G (which was also recommended to him at work) which has a slightly larger screen (6.7"), probably better cameras, a 120hz vs 90hz screen and more battery capacity, but it costs $100 more for a 128GB version and my mother thought it's expensive.
So about Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, how decent is the screen? How are the cameras compared to the Redmi (gsmarena actually quotes a smaller pixel size, although they seem to have the same sensor size and resolution)? Battery life quoted on gsmarena was really good even though it's "just" 4,250 mAh. Do you agree? And the 778G + UFS 2.2, would it feel considerably smoother in responsiveness (she plays card games so nothing heavy)? Any weird bugs or screen issues any longterm users have encountered?
Thanks. And if someone somehow has a different suggestion for a gigantic cheap phone which probably doesn't exist, please share.
Yep I have still fully function Redmi Note 8 Pro, bud Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is a very good phone.

Ok, so the battery is still pretty new (they tend to more noticeably lose capacity after >1 year). But either way it also has 33w charging vs 18w on the Note 8 Pro so that would also improve functionality for her.
Last question: have you tested the sound quality using the headphones USB C adapter? And does it not have FM radio due to not having a regular headphones jack?
Thanks!
Yes i tested it. It played nice, but for me is a big minus, that phone does not have FM Radio. You must use only on-lie radio
