[Q] Install Now, Install Later, or Close?

I was planning on rooting our DINCs tomorrow night, but the Boss Lady started getting the prompt for the OTA update this morning. So far she has just been using the Back arrow to get back to the Home screen.
We want to NOT install the OTA update until after I root the phones (going to do it TONIGHT now).
So we know what happens if she taps Install Now.
What happens if she taps Install Later or Close?
I don't want the OTA to start pinging the phone and screw up the root process later on tonight.
Update:
Rooted and got s-off on my phone and proceeded to the Boss Lady's
Kept getting the "offer" every minute. I guess because we just backed out of the dialog.
Got hers rooted and s-off.
Next offer, she tapped Install Now.
Waited 30 minutes at a black screen with an icon of a folder with an exclamation mark in a triangle.
Battery was cool so I figured the download wasn't really happening.
Pressed Power and got a log from Clockwork that showed that it had tried to install and failed.
Rebooted.
Still rooted with s-off. No Froyo and no more offers to install the OTA update.
When I held off on updating it was reminding me something like every hour. And every time I rebooted the phone the update popped up. I was able to unrevoke after the notifications came up without any issues.

[Q] 4.08.605.2 hangs on stock phone

My non-rooted DINC sucessfully updated to GB (2.3.4) and firmware 4.06.605.3. It has subsequently tried several times to do an OTA to 4.08.605.2.
The screen says that the update has downloaded and been verified, does its countdown to the reboot, then hangs on the "rebooting now..." screen.
Verizon wants me to wipe the phone to factory and wait until Verizon once again tries to push the update, then rebuild my phone.
I don't think that is going to happen. So, has anyone else seen this and found a solution?

Installing system update problem

Not sure if it's a common issue or not but since my phone took that latest garbage of an update every time I go into the recovery menu it says installing system update. This is a first for me seems how I've had several samsung phones. Then goes to the dead Droid with no command and after a few mins it loads the menu. I've done several resets and it hasn't changed
It's gone now. I connected it to the Verizon repair assistant. Although the Verizon 2.0 sua. Failed I rebooted the phone and its gone and finished initializing the update.

How to deactivate update message?

Hi all,
I dont want to update my OnePlus 3 to Nougat now, maybe later. But as you know since today I got the update message sometimes on the screen.
How can I deactivate the update message?
Edit: I found the solution. If the message appears, hold the message for some seconds. After that click on the exclamation mark. You will jump into the system update options where you can deactivate everything.

Question Samsung stuck on Samsung Galaxy opening logo

Yesterday, I scheduled my phone to update the new software at 2.00 A.M then left it charging. When I woke up, it was stuck on the Samsung rebooting logo. I can enter recovery mode.
Tried soft reset, wipe cache but doesn't open
I guess if I can update it manually via PC, it will be okay. But I don't know how to do it without losing my data. (I have very important photos and vidos)
I have never downloaded any unoriginal system update

Since you've never done it and you have very important data, ask someone who knows how to do it. You will need a single-file for odin.
Happened to my A225F when I updated to Android 13.
I pressed power button for about 30 seconds and it restarted. Went through optimizing applications screen and...voilá, came back to normal.
isn't that normal in samsung phones? I still can't believe people still choose that brand

The brand doesn't matter. You need to be able to choose the right model.
