Google released a ton of videos. There's no way anyone could know which video you were referring to specifically.
And yes, I did look at that video, fast forwarded to where they introduced the phones, and I didn't see any LED notification. Perhaps I'm blind, but at which point specifically in that video did you see the LED notification?

Wow really!? Interesting.
The Google Pixel XL has one. For some reason there is no native way to enable it outside of an app or something. I forget what rom I installed but it was Lineage OS based is all I know but it had an option to enable it and change the color and such so idk why Google even added one if there was no way to enable it on stock.

I spoke to another GS because the one I talked to earlier seems like he doesn't know.
The 2nd GS was very informative and told me that THERE IS led notification light, and that I just have to enable it in settings. He said it is located on the top speaker (same as Pixel 1). He also confirmed that it is RGB and not just white light.
Right after finish talking to the GS, white & black Pixel 2 XL came back to stock so I placed my order.

Awesome! Hoping this is indeed the case! I don't find the LED notification on the original Pixel being too obscure; I actually like it so subtle.
I also asked the german support team of google and they told me, that the Pixel 2 xl wont have RGB Notification LED.
But I saw a video on youtube and there was a notification LED on the pixel 2 ..

Cannot definitively say.. it could be just a sensor at that 00:30 mark that is caught by the glare from the ceiling light.
I'm more curious about the 2XL since I ordered one. It would make sense that if it does have one, it would be in the speaker area like the XL

I will also order mine next week.
Despite the AOD a RGB LED would be very nice and useful imo.
I just can say, that the google team told me, there isnt an LED on the XL 2

That definitely looks like a light more than a glare to me. From what I've seen, GS have been giving people mix answers so only time will tell.

So I've noticed some apps say they are not compatible with the note edge on the play store.
In case anyone was not aware of you goto build.prop and change your device from tbltespr (where spr is your variant) to trltespr you get more games as the play store thinks you are a regular note 4.
The lines will be:

I found simcity and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic both would not download on note edge but would on note 4.

Right now the thread has one build prop mod that crashes the camera. Anything is fine haha
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic has major scaling issues on the Note Edge. It is either too big for the screen, or with gltools adjustments, too small. No way I've found yet to make it scale to the screen correctly, unless theres something like a .ini file saved to the device that you can adjust display size.
It's one of my favorite games of all time.

Yea, just noticed this. I never played it before today, just loaded it up. Odd that it is not working as the screen is equal to the more 4 (pixel wise) anyway.

So I have 2 units of the Note 7. One is working perfectly. The 2nd unit not so much. Looks like something is seriously wrong with the battery of this device. Has anyone else faced this? To be fair, anyone can recreate this by making a video with an atrocious sound, have 2 green lines on each side, and then keep the backlit buttons on.
That video shows nothing in regards to a faulty battery.

it looks like the phone motherboard/circuit board is burning to cause that.
Wow. This brings to mind another SERIOUS problem I have just remembered.
How many of us have had "problems" with any of our Phones in the past and they have locked up and wouldn't shut down even with the Power Button with the ONLY option was to remove the Battery??
I have certainly experienced this scenario a few times over the years with my Note 4 and 2 and S2.
In fact, I set up a new thread regarding this. Needs to be discussed.
my previous samsung, i think note5, cant remember which model exactly.

there are apps that make the device do this when getting notifications. looks to me like its a poorly coded app, or one meant for older edge screen device. there is even a setting in stock touchwiz for edges to light up upon notifications.
that said, the device could very well be overheated

The only place I know of to buy a new battery is the site that won't ship outside India. There are used batteries pulled from non-working or allegedly never used phones on eBay, but those are at least a little risky.
The other link I shared is a post from someone who figured out a way to get a similar battery from an Oppo phone to work with the Robin. But it is an involved process not everyone (including myself) is comfortable doing.
The bottom line is that I don't know of anywhere in the US to buy a new and never used Nextbit Robin replacement battery.

You'd better buy a new phone.
Similar issue here, if power hungry apps are started (like camera or new GMaps) and battery is 50% or lower, it just dies. I'm in Singapore and had no luck finding replacement battery. Pixel 3 coming tomorrow as replacement, farewell Robin, I liked you.
Robin will be downgraded to some sort of smart home touch panel device to listen to music and control lights. Maybe even Google Assistant? We will see.

If you have tried the factory reset then it should be a hardware fault, get it replaced

So far the phone is blazing fast. That wireless charger is absolutely amazing. You can see a huge difference in the screen compared to the OP7 Pro, as well as overall speed. My phone was delivered yesterday (April 17th).
Well here's my launch day story...... After watching the launch day event, counting down the minutes, then seconds, on launch day, I ordered my first OnePlus device! This is, IMHO, the best, fastest, most advanced device ever created. I got the Ultramarine 12/256, wireless charger and ear buds and even included the 24 month extended warranty. Wow, was I excited! Unfortunately, it has turned into a nightmare. The order still shows "Transaction in Processing" after I was told by my bank the payment was canceled by OnePlus! Not only am I being told that I missed out on the launch day promotion, but I am not able to pay for the order still processing! I am really disappointed in the whole process and really hope OnePlus can fix this. I am sure items may be out of stock, but I am willing to wait as long as it takes to get this device. Please help! The op called it a pre-order so I went with it and i was on top of it, actual stock must have been really low...
Pre-ordered UltraMarine Blue 12/256. Excited as much as I was for the 6, 6T, 7Pro. A bit more pricey than usual (of course) but hopefully it's a justified increase.

Stay on them with this. If it were me I'd be arguing that I deserve the launch box (items at least) when this is worked out. No way would I rest until I got what I felt I deserved or they just flat out denied it continuously. Wish you the best here.

I'm interested in buying a one plus 8 pro. I enjoy a crisp screen and a good camera. I like my pixel 4 xl but the screen seems dull.
Is anyone coming from a pixel 4 xl to the 8 pro? How are the camera images

This video shows what the latest update did for the camera. Hope this helps. I currently have p4xl should get my OP8 pro on Tuesday

Hey sorry for a bit off topic, but I've read different things regarding screen protector..... Is there a pre applied protector? Some people said there was a protector included in the paperwork, but not applied.

I'm debating doing the same thing. I think I'll need to see how good GCam is before I either order locally or get it shipped over here.

There are 2 in the box for the user to apply.

Scratch that, the 2 in the box aren't screen protectors. I'm talking to OP support and they said unless you add one to your order you only get a pre-applied one. Lucky for me, I also don't have a pre-applied one.

Oh wow that's a shame. With the pre applied one, we at least get time to find a good one like Whitestone dome, etc.
There wasn't one to order anyway. I get mine tomorrow so we'll see. Thanks for the update

You should all appreciate being abke to order and receive you 8 P outside of the US. Not only are we later without anything free stuff, we are having to deal with idiots working for OnePlus who don't know their A__ from a whole in the ground.
I tried both the chat online and calling on a phone. The latter didn't really know enough where and how to purchase over here, but the online people were total idiots.
A lot of it is beaning able to speak English - but not understand it. If they are going to sell now overpriced phones, I think it is reasonable to expect competent service. Compared to Samsung and others - they live on a different planet.
Sale date changed from 8 days away, to 2 days away!!
