M9 doesn't boot after update, "red message", nand/emmc problem? - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello members!
I've got on my hand M9 with problem:
Ex owner says that happend after update
When trying to start phone goes on white screen wit HTC logo with "This build is for development purposes only..." then bootloop.
Vol Down+Power -->
Software status: Modified
UNLOCKED
S-ON
Security Warning
Reboot to bootloader --> Goes back to the same screen
Boot to download mode --> Failed to boot download mode. Press volume or down to back to menu. (On the black screen with HTC logo and "red message" at bottom)
Boot to recovery mode --> Black screen with HTC logo and "red message"
Is this a SW problem which is possible to fix or HW problem with Nand/EMMC chip
Thanks for help!

I don't understand what you mean with that.
If you can reach download mode(this screen) it's simple to recover it.

Sorry, I don't know how to help in this situation, maybe the nand is dead but I'm not sure.
Probably @Flippy498 can help you.

That's most probably a dead nand. If you want to keep the phone you need to send it to HTC for a repair. Your personal data is lost, though.

Optimus G Pro- Soft Bricked After Fiddling With Applications

Soft-Bricked
UPDATE : I fixed this by using http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...orial-how-to-flash-factory-images-lg-t2713833 thanks to whoever tried helping or did some research
Okay so, I was fiddling around with some applications - user installed ones. Then The device blackscreened I though no biggie It just locked then it went into the boot animation so I waited a few mins then I realized I had softbricked my phone. Now I have a tot file, I have no recovery installed, I was about to install recovery the next day. My device specifically is the E98020h AT&T model. I was not flashing any roms of any sort I have tried flashing stock ROMs to get out of the softbrick and I am a "newbie" to flashing ROMs and Kernals. But most of the guides on here for my phone the links are dead, and the links for the pictures in the tutorials are also dead. Thanks for your time. I would appreciate any help or ideas. Thanks.
Note : I can get into download mode, I have tried Hard Factory reset I get the infamous Boot

Zenfone 2 (Z00A) No bootloader + no OS + "Broadcast tv" loop

Hi Developers.
This is my first post but I've used this forum for many devices before.
This is what happened:
Atfer update to android 6.0.1 (M), I got some "bugs" (freeze) after I tried to root the device (using this method). I failed the first time I got a bootloader loop. I googled it and found this method (same commands but adding a "fastboot splashscreen.img"), then my phone just got a blank screen loop. My next step was the xFSTK method (this one). My phone booted "normally" and then I tried to update it to 6.0.1.
After that, my phone just got stuck in ASUS logo. I tried the xFSTK method and in the middle of the Flash Tool process, I interrupted it, because it was taking so long. I tried xFSTK process again but I got a "FW+iOS failed" and the attached screen loop (like a broadcast tv).
Please... Help.
(note: I don't speak/wrtie english very well. I hope you guys understood me)

Solved, thanks to sukhwant717 for his post
And his quote:
those who are not able to keep device connected. take care of few steps
1. in xFSTK option menu change the flag override value to 0x80000807 not 0x800000807 ( don't forget to click gp value over ride)
2. while connecting to xFSTK attach usb to computer. hold power button for 20 seconds to make sure it power downs completely. then hold the power button down and click power button. wait till device vibrate or computer makes detection sound. leave power button but keep holding the volume button for few seconds

After battery replacement > Tablet don't boot, battery logo or recovery mode only

Hi to all,
I'm using a Galaxy Tab S tablet, model TM-800 (WiFi), with stock firmware (not rooted)
I just replace the battery (official Samsung batterie), it was properly installed.
Unfortunatelly, i was no more able to start the tablet properly.
Without any cable :
- Power Button
Black screen, no effect
or
- Power Button, Volume + and Home button
Black screen, no effect
With power through usb port :
- Power Button
The screen cycle on logo batterie each time, sometines at 100%, sometime at 54%
or
- Power Button, Volume + and Home button
I have access to stock recovery mode

I tried to use both wipe options from menu but it doesn't change anything.
I was trying to force firmware update with Apply update from SD Card in the menu.
But it says Footer is wrong and Signature verification failed
I dunno what was the stock rom to take, just put the same than the one displayed in Recovery Mode (MMB29K.T800XXU1CPK2) but i'm not sure about the language version to use, i already test UK and FRENCH but same error message.
How can i know the good stock rom version and language to download please ?
Do you know another way to fix my issue ?
Best Regards.

You need to use ODIN not recovery to flash official firmware.

Did I Brick my 2XL?

After a bunch of research I finally decided to take the plunge to try and move to Lineage OS.
Phone is a Google unlocked 128GB 2 XL.
I was able to get through the unlock portion but after that all the guides went different directions. I was following the process from TWRP and at one point had the TWRP recovery app showing via fastboot but now all I get is the "device is corrupt" warning which then ends up in the white screen with Google logo and small unlocked icon.
Any chance I can get back to scratch or press forward to LineageOS/other ROM or is this thing a brick?
*Update* Not sure what key combination I used but I can get to the following TWRP screen. However the touchscreen does not respond and after the screen hibernates any key returns it to this state:

Download the last Google ROM image, enter the bootloader, and install it using the flash-all batch file included in the zip file. That will get you back to factory so you can proceed.

Not sure how I can do that.
I can get to the default green START option. If I selection that the system boot to a white screen adn stops.
If I select BOOTLOADER the device pops back to the green START.
If I select RECOVERY it gets to the TWRP screen but the touchscreen nor buttons work.
I've tried connecting the phone via USB to my PC but no matter what mode I put it in ADB never detects it.
The "green Start" is where you want to be here. That's the bootloader. You need to make sure the driver - assuming Windows - is set to ADB Bootloader Interface in Device Manager as well as make sure you have the latest version of the ADB / Fastboot package.

Phone boots to screen I've never seen before, wont start up properly.

Hi,
I tried to reboot my Android phone (Lenovo P2) this morning but it brought up a screen that I'm not familiar with. It's the fastboot mode but without the picture of the Android lying down.
I can't boot into recovery (Power / Vol up / Vol down on this phone) and all other combinations of Volume Up / Volume Down / Power button lead to this same screen.
I haven't made any modifications to this phone for over a year now. OS is Lineage 18, and I use TWRP Recovery but I can't remember the version and I can't get into it anyway.
This is the screen I get when trying to boot. Sorry for the poor quality, I took the picture with my work laptop.
Can anyone help me get my phone back? Or tell me what this screen means?
Thank you, Simon.

You install another os and can't boot, try to reinstall the orginal os, you can contact developer, they will give you the link to zip to your phone

The phone has worked fine for about two years, which was when I installed Lineage OS. I did nothing to it other than turn it off last night. This morning I just get this screen.
Somehow, your phone doesn't boot to recovery nor android, I suggest flash the same custom recovery to phone back when you installed the custom rom/recovery and see whats happens..
If you can boot it with this, backup your files and change the rom and recovery, looks like its not reliable anymore. If you can not boot it (only recovery), try backing up your files in recovery and install updated rom and recovery.

Try normally rebooting. This looks like fastboot.
Join the club, flashing or booting into recovery from fastboot didn,t work for me either.
Was working fine till that day.
