Andromeda/Substratum Compatibility for Stock Rom

Hi , i have Moto Z2F on 1July2018 patch Android 8.0 and was curious to know whether Andromeda (substratum stock rootless backend) will work on it or not..? Im curious because for some of the Moto Z users it didn't work or stopped working.

Yes it works but I find I have to run Andromeda desktop twice before it runs properly or you get errors when theming

It works fine I'm on July patch but some trouble Whit some themes I got or it is me doing some wrong

Plzz share the proper instructions for

I just start Andromeda.bat on the computer then on phone, and in substratum I chose the overlays I want , then build and update,restart the phone,restart Andromeda and substratum,then manage overlays and then choose enable. sometime I got to restart phone again for the overlays to apply

Try running the .bat file twice before disconnecting, the second time you run it it leaves the cmd box open so you can hit the key to finish it. if I run it once I get errors which themes.

I very liked your ROM, it's very smooth, but how to enable permission for google play services? I try to open app and select google play services then select the permission but no permission to enable, how to fix this?

Hi bro

1. google play is not working and after second restart lockscreen went black, and after 2-3 reboots its working now..
but no way to access play store @addy692
2. usb connection not working.

Yes after 2-3 minute can't access the play store, "authentication required" but I open YouTube working normally on my account.
Please fix this bug sir

brother rom is great but most of the google apps and other apps like whatsapp not working because of playservices issue..pls sovle this playstore bug..it would be heaven for our mobile.
ram management is superb and device feels super snappy..but battery going down like water.
im using 3gb variant

Just try the universal version (15) or the version (16) i ported for my Nokia 8.3 5G and Android 10 (Android One).

Thank you, mate, that's what I was looking for long time. I have a samsung s7 edge on which I installed android 11 but applications that are installed with gaaps are not something good, and because of this system are great because they have no advertisements and are fully functional. Xperia keyboard is great because it has a 3x4 option while this google has only a qverty shape that I do not use, then Xperia Music, Xperia email, Asus filemanager, Xiaomi Calculator,Asus Music Player and other.

If you have issues creating more than one EMail-Account install V15 from #5 and update to V17.

Original Sony-APK 17 is compiled using SDK Android11+. So i will not backport it to Android 10. Using APK 15 and upgrade to APK 16 from post #5 should work.

Bro why do i see these, 4 AV reports in 15 and 5 in 16.
Debug key is understandable so, v15 has 3 while v16 has 5. Why?

I have a problem with sending emails with attachments over SMTP - email is sent but in SENT folder on the server is without attachments.

Any solution to create Google account for 17.0.A.0.12? Previous versions are not compatible and latest don't let me create any account. Thanks

Hey @repey6 is this version for rooted device only? Asking this as you've mentioned magisk, or can be installed in any non-rooted android device?
And can anyone confirm whether the earlier bug of crashing at around 20sec time mark is fixed or not? Those who don't know, this music app works fine until android 9 in all devices (universal APK from this thread) but since android 10 arrived for almost a year ago, this sony music app is mostly not compatible anymore with any devices, everyone who have installed this, the music app mostly crashes (stopped automatically) after 20seconds of playback. If anyone wanna check, goto this thread, while we don't know what's exactly is the problem, it seems the modder @Ben Ling stopped modding the app for whatever reason so we who love to use this app & been using since ages are forced to use another music app after updating to android 10.
I personally Have tested in all stock android device that I have in my family, all the broader devices ranges covers from Mi A1, A2 A3 & Moto One Power, Infinix Note5, & some Nokia devices, & every device are running on stock android 10, & in none of them, this sony music apps works.
So, after seeing this new thread here today, am expecting someone would fix this problem so that we all can use (again) our beloved music app.

Worked anywhere. No crashes on 10 OS. Try mod if no Sony.

You tried my combination? I tried this mods on my Redmi 4x MIUI 12.2 10OS and all OK.

With Google Play Music now transitioning to Youtube Music, this really help me a ton to play music locally on my device.
Only hiccup is, when I installed the Music-v9.4.4.A.0.3.apk, the app detects all the album arts no problem. After installed the mod file, all album arts for my music files disappear.
No big issue for me for as long as I can use the app no problem. And also I can still set the album art manually in the app.

Can anyone provide any universal apk of this latest v 9.4.8.A.0.13 for the non-rooted device?

Did you install new version after full uninstall previous version?

Bad Graphic on Motorola Moto G7 Play with LineageOS

I experience that the colors are mixed after I click the power button and reactivate the screen on Motorola with LineageOS. Is there any solution to this?

After I installed Lineage 19 that issue went away.

Sorry, MY BAD!!! I have the Moto G7 Power. 19 works great on it.
After my earlier posting, I bought the Moto g7 Play only to find that 19 isn't available for that phone. Someone gave me a link to an unofficial version of 19 but I can't install it just like your other post.

I want to try installing it using a older version of 18 but can't find it for Channel. Where can I get a version that predates the lineage-19.1-20220407-UNOFFICIAL-channel.zip file?
I wrote to one of the maintainers regarding 19 for the Play, but haven't heard back.

if you activate the "battery economy" this will happens too when u turn screen off,
or even when your phone start and the screen turn off.
the solution that i found is: settings>screen>advanced>colors>switch to the last and back to first
this is not a permanent solution.

I update to lineage 19 and appears it works fine.

Mine did this after restarting the phone, and bielzenho15's solution above is what I had found on these forums somewhere and it works until the next reboot - so not permanent but good enough.
There is an official 19.1 for g7 play and it seems it may not have this issue.
