(MODULE IS ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH JB 4.3 IF ORIGINALS KK Z3 PORTED APPS (SystemUI.apk | Home.apk) ARE PROPERLY RUNNING)
Due new quick settings buttons added by module, your 4.4.2 SystemUI.apk will need to have three new permissions to work properly. If you prefer not to do it, module will check for missing permissions and also will hide some buttons from Quick Settings selection screen!!
So follow instruction below to add them:
1. Decompile your 4.4.2 SystemUI.apk
2. Edit (with Notepad++) its AndroidManifest.xml
3. By putting red lines you will get something like:
Code:

This looks really nice! Won't be able to test it though, since I'm not on stock right now, but options are always great to have. Thank you.

Hey @serajr. Amazing work, as always. It looks amazing. However, I am having some problems. Screenshots of the problems inside the spoiler tags.
They are not big, however they could be adressed (I guess).
First things first, on my Xperia S, running Niaboc79's eXistenZ Ultra 1.3.5 ROM, based on .96, 4.1.2 fw:
The first thing is that icons are not propely shown, be either on app drawer OR home screen. For some reason, though, there is one app that is showing propely (Nova Lancher. I always download it in case there is a problem with Xperia Home).
The second thing is that the power menu isn't propely themed. Text color and icons change accordingly, however the backgroud stays black, when using White theme.
EDIT: Just realized it says 4.2.2+, but if you can add compatiblity for 4.1.2 for Xperia S, I'd love it
The second device to have problems are with the Xperia Tablet Z, currently running stock .577 4.3 fw.
The only problem it has is the non themed Silent/Non-Silent icons. They remain white.I don't know how it looks on other devices running 4.3. If it changes anything, the Tablet Z does NOT have a vibration motor, so there is only silent and non silent modes. No vibrate.
If you need any files or someone to test anything, let me know
By the way, what is your Hangouts email, so I can add you? lol
Oh, and @niaboc79 , also awesome work :good:
The power menu seems to look fine here. The icons are correct color, etc. But may I suggest a feature to hide power off/reboot while in lockscreen?

I can easily create preferences for all power menu actions that will control their visibility while screen locked. What about?

Let´s go bro...
First... I really don´t know what to do to help you!! I´ve never seen that issue before!
Second... If you didn´t faced any fc, it is compatible over 4.1.2. The Light theme choice forces power menu screen to be decorated with "Theme.DeviceDefault.Light", so probably 4.1.2 "Theme.DeviceDefault.Light" style is that way. You can take a look at 4.2.2 same style resource for diffs and mod your own framework.
Third... I think I need to check for tablet mode and hook/replace that action too.
Thank you for feedback... consider, at least third one, for v2 (soon)!

Ok. It wasn't a complain, just a feedback.
One last thing that doesn't affect the usage at all, it is just something that can be improved, or changed to fit the Tablet Z.
As you can see, the power menu says: "Your phone will...". Maybe that could be changed to "Your device will..." or be dependent on the build.prop, and when it detects it is a XTZ (remember that there are some variations. Just let me know if you need anything.)
As I said, this is very minor. Do not put it into your priorities list, though...

Minor issue with the icons on white background, can't seem to get it to black like the words. On existenz v5 unlocked bootloader with doom kernel v20.
Tried switching different themes and reboot but no luck.
Many thanks.

I´m gonna send you a test apk with power menu non-colored silent mode fixed.
Also, I´m gonna take a look at "Your phone will..." message, once the string come from framework, it is not within module. Tabled should have another string, so I need check for tablet mode (just before screen creation) and get proper framework string. Please, send me your decompiled tablet framework string.xml when possible (or its name within file)! Thanks again...

Ok. About the framework, there is currently no deodexed fw from 4.3 for XTZ. I'm going to try it myself. Again, what's your Hangouts email, so we can talk, if needed, if that's not a problem.

@serajr
will you be able to use xposed to inject codes to make the stock launcher as a multi dpi supported launcher?
because im currently using 360DPI,
what about supporting custom grids too?
sorry if im mentioning too much and thanks!
Ok, I'm going to bother you (@Niaboc79 and @serajr ) again, haha:
I had an idea, that could turn to be very good if done correctly.
Do you know with the 4.3 update, that the Navigation Bar is kinda contextual with Sony apps. Basically all Sony apps (except media ones) are themed white, and when they are opened, the naviagation bar and status bar turn grey-ish. That's incredible, IMO, as it complements the whole UI, making them more immersive (maybe it is a preparation for Immersive Mode from 4.4?).
Example: http://mobilenews.omio.com/wp-content/uploads/Omio-Sony-Xperia-Z1-hands-on-pictures-16_thumb.jpg
Well, the idea is to make that something the user can force. Imagine Hangouts or Gmail, or any other light app using that status bar? I don't know a lot, but considering you've made a lot already with this Module, it shouldn't be hard. The code for that change is already within Sony Framework (at least on 4.3), so it shouldn't be relatively hard to do it.
Just need what in the framework calls that change, and with the module, force other user selectable apps to have the same code applied to it. That is the first part. Then, it could be chosen to apply only on navigation bar or status bar only, or both. And then, a code port to older versions (4.2.2 and maybe 4.1.2).
Guys, again, this is only an idea that I got and that, IMO, could be awesome. But I am not demanding anything, neither in hurry for anything

thank you so much,it works.
And in my opinion, the most suitable layout style is Grid 5x6 shortcut 5,but I can't fint it,there is only 6x6 with shortcut 5
,how should I set this?

I'm not sure. Check to see if this is the path to PixelLauncherRelease.apk
/system/product/priv-app/NexusLauncherRelease/
If it is, what you could do is install another Launcher as a backup then flash the helper module. If you don't get any FC on Pixel Launcher you can then install the editor and apply the overlays. In case you get FC you can use the backup launcher to navigate to magisk and disable the helper and substratum modules.

No, I'm completely stock, rooted, only have busybox, Audio Modification Library, and Audio Compatibility Mod installed. Viper4Android is installed as well as its own separate apk.
Edit: Well, maybe this is because I don't have Substratum engine even installed. Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff. This is the first time I have actually been OK with a stock experience. I usually like ROMs will tons of customization features. Never really needed to "theme" anything until now.
Edit 2: No, still force closing Pixel Launcher loop. :\

Could you get a logcat for me. I just downloaded and flashed the helper to double check that it was working. Also, are you on build QD1A.190821.011.C4?
Edit...The helper is not dependent on substratum. So that is not the issue.

I was just asking because that's the base I used for the helper.
Edit
A logcat would be best to try to figure out the FC. You can also try clearing Pixel Launcher cache and/or data to see if that fixes it.

I know what's causing the error. For some reason it doesn't like the gesture navigation. It won't FC using 3 button navigation. I'll see what I can do to fix it.
I never imagined it would FC using gesture nav. I usually switch to 3 button nav and hide the nav bar and use fluid gestures as a navigation replacement. I'll work on this today to see if I can fix it.
Edit
I added a bug section in the OP.

Since I figured out the swipe-upwards-at-an-angle for side-swipe menus, I actually love the gesture navigation. Thought I would hate it.

Here try this one...I believe I fixed the fc
Edit.
With fluid I have the same home and back navigations as stock. Recents I have it set to swipe up on right side, screenshot swipe up on left side, if I do a long swipe inwards from left or right I go to previous or next app, swipe down on left is chrome shortcut, swipe down on right is play store shortcut, swipe up and hold from bottom is Google assistant, swipe left to right on bottom is turn off screen and lock phone, swipe right to left on bottom is power dialog (same as pressing power button) all this is with fluid. Then I have squeeze set to launch camera. I can't give that up for stock gesture navigation.

That worked, no more constant force closes. Thanks for such a quick response to this.

What version of substratum are you using? I recommend substratum lite, it's in beta in play store. And make sure you pick a grid option on the very top first

Realized that after the fact, sorry about that. >_<
Edit: I have tried a few different combinations and nothing seems to be working. Substratum lite says that it applied things and I should reboot but nothing changes. I'm mainly looking for the grid change. Need to see more icons at once. Any ideas?

After you reboot go to substratum and under manage select and enable the overlays then reboot one more time
How do you get rid of the space where the searchbar is when you choose no searchbar? I just get a empty space at the bottom that I can't drag the icons to.
I installed this theme yesterday and kept getting device personalization services FC's. Happened with other sub themes as well, not sure if anyone has faced this issue at all? To make sure it wasn't my device, I flashed the factory images again, but the problem remained (after a reinstall - the reflash fixed my FC's). A simple data wipe fixed them. Unsure of what's going on for me (Pixel 4 XL).
Edit: I figured out my issues. I was using the built-in theming tool within wallpapers and styles in conjunction with substratum themes. I'm guessing this was causing conflicts. Currently using the "default" theme within wallpapers and everything is fine!

Q&A, To Do List, & Downloads for other Pixel Devices
Q & A
Q: Will this mod work on other Pixel Devices?
A: Starting with Android 12 I will only maintain one thread for all Pixel devices. As of November 2, 2021 this mod is only confirmed to be working on the Pixel 6 lineup. I will update this when I get more confirmations.
Pixel 5, 4, 4a, & 4XL compatibility is confirmed with the attached zips at the bottom of this post.
Q: This mod is not confirmed to be working with my Pixel device, is it safe to flash?
A: This does not mean it is not compatible, you may be the first one to attempt to use this on your Pixel device. Make sure you are on the same security update as what is posted to maximize compatibility.
Q: I flashed this mod on my Pixel device that is not listed as confirmed working and I got a bootloop, can you make this compatible with my Pixel device?
A: Definitely, I need you to be on the latest ota and send me the NexusLauncherRelease.apk, the SystemUIGoogle.apk, and the framework-res.apk. They can be located in the following locations:
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/system_ext/priv-app/NexusLauncherRelease/NexusLauncherRelease.apk
/system/system_ext/priv-app/SystemUIGoogle/SystemUIGoogle.apk
Once these files are sent to me I will be able to make this mod compatible with your Pixel device.
To Do List- Remove/hide "At a Glace" widget.
- Match the searchbar background in the app drawer to the app drawer background.
- Fix issues with Android Auto
- Port over more statusbar mods from the Android 11 Pixel Tweaks.
-Make an extension app to address light theme elements for those that like to switch back and forth between them.
Downloads for Older Pixel DevicesAttached you will find 4 files that you can download. You can grab the 2 apks from post 3 or click here and here. P5T.Helper.SBR.zip is the exact same thing as the other plus the added removal of the home screen searchbar. This zip will only remove the searchbar in the home screen. If you don't want to remove the home screen searchbar please download and flash P5T.Helper.zip instead. The files that have a "CC" in them will also apply a centered clock on Pixel devices with a hole punch camera on the left side (ex. Pixel 5).
Dammmm that was fast!!
I'll take a spot here. Nice work Eden
Great to see here! Kudos
Hmm, not sure why but can't get it to work on my 6 pro. Installed the version that doesn't remove the searchbar in magisk, rebooted, picked my options in lite, selected grid 5x6, dock 6, built and enabled, rebooting after building and enabling and no dice. Tried a few different times and not super sure why it wouldnt work. Had iris Monet enabled at first but after it not working I uninstalled all overlays and only did pixel tweaks which didn't help unfortunately.

Make sure you have the first grid selected in Wallpaper & Styles. This mod only modifies the original 5x5 grid. You also have to reboot after enabling.

Yeeessshhhh the cogs are moving slow today, yep that's it, can't believe I read the first few post 3 times over thinking man I have to be missing something and never caught it, sure enough it's there plain as day. For some reason I had the 4x5 on and thought that was default so the few times I read 5x5 in the instructions as default I'm thinking "huh mines 4x5 default? Must be a typo" I'm lucky I can dress myself in the morning

All good, enjoy. I'll make it clearer in the instructions.
For those of you who like to switch between light and dark themes with the movement of the sun I have something baking.
Flashed on my 4 XL and I just reocovered from a bootloop lol. Just a warning for those using a 4 XL, it will bootloop.
Hi ! Many thanks for your job, first !
Do you know if it's possible to make an APK of this modified main screen, for users like me who won't root their phones ?

You can do a lot with Nova Launcher or some other custom launcher if you want to change the look of your home screen.

Thanks for your reply, sadly I don't like full customized launchers like Nova. The stock one is perfect for me excepted I can't hide google search bar and at a glance top widget. I think a custom stock launcher would be a good compromise for people like me.

Replied to you in the other thread.
Thank you for your hard work. I will probably not root my phone until Google has ironed out the big firmware bugs (hopefully in December or January I'll give it a go) & we have an official magisk version/something similarly decent at hand, but I'm already looking forward to having your customizations at hand. Especially the gridsize of 5x5 is bugging me. Why do we have a moonsized screen real estate now, and we are still forced to use these big-a** icons? My eyes are functioning mighty fine, Google. Just give me 6 rows.

Yeah sadly it's only possible with 3rd party launcher or root.
Pixel 5 users and possibly older Pixel devices on Android 12 Nov OTA, see post #4 for compatible downloads.
