at the moment being, I use the Back Cover by Annure it fits perfectly on the MiA1 and doesn't attract fingerprints.. for the Tempered Glass I got a Mocolo Tempered.. black version, which has many disadvantages such as:
1. rainbow tinted on the center screen
2. dotted screen (visible under direct sunlight)
3. it does not cover the whole screen, just the flat part of the screen on MiA1
4. it's prone to fingerprint especially with oily hands / fingers...
other than the above list, I'm confident (for now) that my device is relatively save from harms

I bought one silicone cover for my mi a1. Overall i'm happy but i have a big con: Being the cover transparent, the light of the flash is retained in the corner and makes the photos with flash with a big ammount of light where the flash is located. I have to removed the cover to shot pictures with flash.

I've tried a few different screen protectors and so far they all suck for the reasons you listed. Regardless of what "brand" you buy...I'm pretty sure they are coming from the same manufacturer regardless of whose name is on the packaging. Fancier the packaging...the higher the price. I'm using my phone with a slim case and no screen protector.

Try Nillkin Amazing H
Nillkin Amazing H+ Pro is "no go" for almost all phones lately (Nillkin glass quality dropped so low these days) .
But the classic Amazing H (0,33mm) without 2,5D is working great for me. It's covering exactly the viewable part of display, leaving black frames of the display uncovered. And that I'm OK with, since they are covered by dark silicone back cover anyway.

I just ordered two covers: a NKOBEE (Cotton Cloth + Silicone Soft TPU) and a CAFELE (Ultra thin soft TPU silicone) for my Xiaomi Mi A1 / Mi 5x. In about two weeks time I will post my opinion about these pretty cheap but good looking covers.
In the mean time I have a question. Does your A1/5x came with a plastic cover preinstalled on the screen? I was trying to put the blue one, which comes inside the original package, and notice some small bobbles that didn't go away which make me realize that preinstalled extra layer. Do you guys keep that plastic layer on your phones?

Finally I remove the preinstalled plastic cover (there were 3 or 4 dust speckles below, distracting me at certain angles).
I'm taking a risk for the moment but I have had four smartphones with Gorilla Glass and none was scratched when I stop using them...
except for my Moto G Turbo that basically exploded after a 4m drop into sharp solid rock T_T

The second one is exactly what i was looking for !! Many thanks to you !! :good:
PS : love this community til day one, 7 years ago. So proud of all of you and your good spirit.

Well, I had the same screen protector (from different brand, but I think that the manufacturer is always the same) and thought that the dotted screen was a problem of the A1 Display [emoji23]
That was because I read that issue also on XDA!
Also, the prone to fingerprint was always there.
Someone has an hint for a good screen protector that doesn't retain fingerprint and, last but not least, covers all the panel?

I originally had a glass screen protector on but all around the edge didnt stick down due to the curved glass. I was then recommended a protector which has a black sticky border around the edge which sticks down to the curved edge. Works really well, although in one or two corners i had a bubble i couldnt get stuck down. I then watched youtube and found the trick with putting some cooking oil into the bubble and now its perfect!

sandstone cover, amazing grip

What is sense of this thread at all? To help shubham8 earn some money off xda users? Because all his links consist affiliate platform tags, you'll buy - he will earn on you. Besides, it's his own view only, as per mine, 4 of 5 cases are piece of ugly PVC.
I don' see here any hints on really top cases. Like this one and this one, for example.
Some time later there may be more even better cases, but this ugly list will keep being "top", really?

I got the first one from op and the second is from Amazon. It consists of multiple parts and the kickstands is rather awesome as it also holds well on magnetic car mounts. It was 9 Euro on Amazon DE

Review: iFeel Tempered Glass Protector

Today I received a package from Korea with iFeel screen protector. After unpacking, I saw a envelope green and white box with a photo iFeel Galaxy s3 and specification of tempered glass iFeel and the manufacturer's website (all in Korean) - www.ifeelglass.com .
At the front of the packaging has been specified specification:
a) Mighty screen protection (10H)
b) Screen crack prevention
c) Shatter-proof
d) Anti-scratch
e) Anti-Firgerprint
f) anti-bacterial surface
g) Secured durability
h) EAsy attachment with self-air-bubble-removal
i) Ultra-clear High definition
j) Perfect Performance of Touch Screen
(So says the packaging is that the glass is also resistant to acids, alkalis and temperature fluctuations). I did not wait for anything, and immediately sat down to check what is inside. Packaging of the two parties was covered with hologram seal manufacturer. When opened in the inside can be found:
a) iFeel glass packed with extra packaging, in which so much was quick installation guide.
b) small book manual
c) small microfiber cloth

After opening the package I took out my iFeel glass, which at first glance seemed to be quite thick and tight stiff. After a while I noticed that it is not so rigid as it seems. They can be slightly bent in different directions. I immediately noticed that the glass with a white frame (the ordered) does not cover the entire front of the phone and the cover a little more than my earlier part of the film's simple Puro. All holes (home button, sensors, front camera and light, and cut the letter "Samsung") have been precisely cut. I started the installation. That's what I always do when applying foil and other such things on the phone's screen is good infusions bathroom. In the steamy room dust particles do not "fly" to prevent build-up of dust particles on the screen (if formed micro-bubbles, etc.).
After misting the room I took off my previous film, I cleaned screen carefully and thoroughly with a cloth and installed the glass.
I can not remember when the last time I was able to easily put the film on the screen. The whole took a few seconds and a single air bubble dust or pollen. After applying I tighten glass with cloth that was included.
All very well be imposed. All holes are perfectly matched, nothing was hidden (like the pictures). After removing the protective film has a whole was not so thick. After application can be seen that the glass is thicker than the film (although it is just to protect). It looks very nice, nicely, only the home button is slightly recessed (industry purchase aluminum sticker case) but can easily push it. Sticker available on eBay for $ 5 should completely resolve the problem. Before buying, I read on the forums that the glass is almost identical (according to some people suspect the same factory) as the version of SGP tempered glass, which is also produced in Korea. People complained that the use of glass SGP is often a problem of sensitivity. Due to the layer of adhesive only on the edges of the sensitivity of the screen
deteriorated and many people gave up the security because of the comfort.
With glass iFeel not noticed this problem. When the screen goes to a finger as if the glass was not there. There are no problems with sensitivity, everything comes naturally, text messages you write very well. I'll report after a few days of use. Compared to the previous film, which I can see some significant improvement in terms of use. There is much less fingerprints as on a normal film, and above all, do not leave "rainbow effect" that occurs when standard films. For this one swipe with a cloth, and the whole is perfectly clean, as new sheet of glass. In the normal film you need a little work to a whole was clean. The same transparency seems to me like the film better. The screen looks the same as the SGS3 without film and slides.
In summary - for the very beginning I was happy with my purchase. I approached the glass skeptical because of the reviews of the similar product of SGP, but watching the interesting movie on Youtube I decided to buy one piece of iFeel. A significant improvement with respect to the film normal at the expense of slightly greater thickness (0.4-0.6 mm). My family members at first glance, did not notice that it is glass on display. When the phone is inserted into Slim Cover Case Samsung it looks very nicely. You can only purchase a sticker on the "home" button - not everyone has to like the feeling of touch without sticker. If a glass will proof his parameters like on Youtube, I can be considered as one of the best accessories for your phone.

I had the SGP tempered glass on my Note and it was pretty nice, but since the S3 has a raised button I think I will have to pass on this one...
Hopefully someone managed to order the "fully clear" one, I dislike the super-imposed capacitive keys
@op
thanks for the review, there is a few question I need to ask, can you confirm the colour part, is the paint work on the top of the glass or the bottom, I asked because I want a all clear one, and this is not available.
You did mention that the glass is acid resistant, so I was thinking of using some acid of some sort to remove the colour part, may be thinner.
that if the the info is true and add adhesive for full coverage.
If it turns out bad it's only USD 30 or something wasted, still considering this, sgp or xgear for this mod.
can anyone also confirm the paint work is on the top/bottom on the xgear or sgp.
thanks

I just got mine today and from initial impressions, touch responsiveness appears to be completely unaffected.
And the oliophobic coating seems almost magical at dealing with my fingerprints.
Need to figure out something about the home button though. This thing is quite thick for a protector and makes the home button hard to press. Seidio includes stickers to put on it (2 pairs of clear and translucent blue), but they're transparent/translucent and apply a funky cylindrical magnification effect to the brushed metal look of the button which looks really weird and unattractive IMO, so I'm looking for an opaque option.
Bro, still no touch sensitivity issues? Seriously considering this glass screen protector as Spigen has discontinued their version (and they never made a blue one. -__- )
Does this interfere with putting a case on the phone? I have a puregear dualtek that I'm not gettin rid of, I'd hate to buy this and find out I need to choose one or the other.

I do have small issues with swipes being mistaken for taps (especially with vertical scrolling), but I had that problem before with no protector and I'm unsure if this has made it worse at all.
Though as for blue, you're SOL here too. You only get black or white.

The protector stops ~3mm from the edge of the phone (and in from that is ~1mm of slight tapering). This is sufficient clearance for their active cases (plastic over silicone, like the otterbox commuter line), but they explicitly state it's not compatible with their Surface (just plastic), Innocell (their battery case), and Convert (like an active around the innocell case) cases.
I'm honestly not sure whether your case would fit or not. I could give you some pictures of what this looks like on mine when I have another camera available this weekend.

I know they only make black and white with this, but at least I get the choice of a dark glass screen protector with this brand as opposed to Spigen's white only and Spectre's proximity, weird manufacturing pattern on glass problems.
In any case I'll wait for one of the big youtube reviewers to get this glass protector... If they ever will.
Got mine a few days ago when I get around to peeling off my Spigen ill update you guys
Sent from my GS3
I got mine yesterday. I don't notice any difference in sensitivity.
I do notice that it is really heavy. You will need a case with this because it is extremly ugly without a case. The fit is still too small for the screen. You can use a hybrid 2 piece case like the Musubo retro. You will hate having it with the UAG case or anything like that. It will fit but there will be a gap that just looks silly.
The sticker for the home button really cheap.
I purchased mine from Amazon and its going back. Gotta love Amazon.
Got mine today.
Hi Y´all!
Just installed it about 20 minutes ago.
Black was on back order so i ordered the white one.
Thought it would make an interesting contrast to the blue phone & case.
Now - not so sure but it´s too late.
Installation: Hmm - Not as easy as it sounds. At least not to me.
Lined it up with front speaker & home button first.
Problem arose the last couple of millimeters before the actual "contact" with the screen because there weren´t room to get a grab of the edges any more.
It ended up being about 3/10´th of a millimeter off centered at the home button
Won´t correct though. got a clean fit.
In use: Really slick surface. No fingerprints either
Sensitivity takes a hit No two ways around it.
Not much mind you. Subjectively i´d say about 95 % retained.
Is it a problem. Well -- non time critical use is fine - most of the time. Typing is a bit slower.
Temple run 2: Forget it. Just won´t work when one missed gesture is one too many.
I´ll leave it on for a while. Maybe screen sensitivity can be adjusted somhow.
Will post question in Q&A section. Search didn´t reveal anything.
As it is... well ... Close - very close.. but no cigar.
Honestly won´t reccommend it.
I can live with the slightly off alignment. But the sensitivity :crying: Rats - had such high hopes.
Regards
ELO
Everyone still happy with this. Seem to be many complaints on Amazon and want to pull the trigger.

Case recommendatiom for Le Max 2

Hey guys,
I just ordered a `Black Sandstone Case` from Aliexpress and it just arrived today. Took about 6 weeks till I got it in Germany. Cost me around 6.33euro.
The delivery itself was very nervewracking, because neither the Tracking was really working for China nor for Germany.
Anyways, the case itself looks very good and feels like a high quality material to me. The grip is very good.
Fit tight too.
The only `negative` aspect I can tell is that the case doesnt really fit that well around the cameralense itself. There is nearly no space between lense and case on the upper side, but in comparison `very much` space on the lower side. As the left and right sides are still symmetric, it doesnt really bother me.
Here are some Pics made by an iPhone

The case looks good. Some shops offered a gift option including earphone, flip case, two type of softcases and a tempered glass.
Choosing DHL delivery reduces your wait time to 9-11 days.

But my official leeco tempered glass came a week before, so i dont need it at all.
By the way: i Got a thin and a really thick one in the tempered glass box. Do i have to apply the thin first for better gluing of the thick one? Or just apply the thick one and have an extra one for spare?
I think you apply only one. I guess the thick one feels more sturdy, the thin one might provide better visibility but breaks easier.

Hey guys,
I just ordered a `Black Sandstone Case` from Aliexpress and it just arrived today.

Bumper: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/LS0...inum-metal-frame-for-Letv-Le/32676725090.html
As for the skin. There is a peace for FP sensor, but no luck to make it operational when covered. On the other hand, it's made batter than shown on the link I gave you. There is even a sticker for the SIM tray.

Is there a way to cover the capacitive buttons in the front
I use on screen navigation buttons so it will annoy me
Also does it come with a screen protector if it doesn't do we have to remove the screen protector already on the device
Thanks again

Since I have silver version of X820, parts for the front have no use for me. The manufacturer hasn't removed inner parts of cut-outs, so if you want to cover capacitive buttons, there is a way.
The set came with screen protector, but I have't tested it out either since I've already aplied one before.

best cases for Huawei P9

This thread is not dedicated to any specific case , this for any case you want to share your experience with it.
For me after trying too many cases , expensive from known brands and cheap ones , I found this case from Ali express "Original MSVII Coque For Huawei Ascend P9 "
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ori...32693283790.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.oOgFaQ
Perfectly designed for the P9 , very sleek design ,comfortable , too much light and slim ,and too many colors to choose from . I highly recommend this case for protection and design . I choose the fashion black one , look amazing with my grey P9 , now my phone totally black and sexy .
and it is only 4.5 $ .
This my feedback for this case , check other feedbacks from the link above , it take 5 stars ( 4.9 out of 5 ) from 136 feedbacks
these some pictures for the case

I agree. I have blue, black, grey, matt and frosted versions. Excellent case, frosted is like very fine sand paper like feeling, excellent grip. Matt is like a baby skin smooth. Fits like a glove, side buttons very nicely usable and ports easily connectable. I highly recommend.
Though this post looks like a big ad for those cases, I have to admit that I have one and it's quite awesome!
best combo for me,this case along with this screen protector
I went with this one and so far it's working fine..
I actually did the "o ****, flying phone' the other day and it bounced and not a scratch in it and no cracks on the screen or cover..so it's proved it's worth already..
The kick is handy but I also find that helps with holding the phone in one hand..
Also I use charging dock during the day and it works fine with those too..
Charging dock used..
Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
I've got that one with the kick stand for my P9, but it was too slippy in the hand.
I use a Ringke Fusion on mine.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Mobile-P...UTF8&qid=1483608177&sr=8-1&keywords=ringke+P9
Not too slippy, the corners are protected nicely, and it has a lip all the way around the front, so you can put your phone face down and the screen wont touch the desk etc.
I like the covers on the headphone and USB port too. Stops fluff from your pocket getting in there!
Lenuo case
I really missed my product (RED) leather case, that I had on the iPhone 5, so I found something similar.
This is a case by Lenuo, and they also have a flip-version of it. I'm currently very happy with it
I got this case off eBay Australia, its bargain for $6.99 but stay away from the tempered glass, its crap and does not even cover the screen. This case has no lip for the display so a tempered glass that actually cover the full screen is highly recommend.

So far so good. Still waiting for the worn out look
I think if the finger print sensor was crap on P9, then this cover wouldn't be good. Because when I first looked at the case in my hand, I thought that the finger print sensor won't be able to read enough of my finger print when unlocking. But P9's finger print sensor is really good and works 100% with this case.
The finger print cutout is right in the center and precisely cut.
I wouldn't recommend this case to someone who drops their phone a lot because some areas are not protected by this case. The front facing top and bottom edges of the phone.
But this isn't a problem for me, I rarely drop any phone.
Let me know if you want to know more.
Thanx for your reply. I luckily also drop my phone rarely so that's nothing to worry about. I'm about to order one when i'm at home.
And again, thank you for your reply.
I received this case today https://www.spigen.com/products/huawei-p9-case-rugged-armor feels very good in hand and I like how it looks
Been using the Otterbox Acheiver Case for the last couple of weeks. I use my phone when hiking with OS Maps so wanted something robust.
It is very good, and easier to take on and off than previous Otterbox Commuter cases, but they have not included plugs for the charger and headphone ports this time. A minor gripe. The phone will still survive a drop onto rocks as long as the case takes the hit and not the screen!

Cool! I had no idea Otterbox made cases for the P9

I have this case to, purchased from Amazon UK. Really recommend it but not for total protection or impact. Have to buy something stronger when my 18 month son holds it and decides to throw it about!
anyone else had tested / bought these luphie bumper cases? which protective but not too bulky case can anyone recommend ?
also which glass screen protector (nillkin/other brand?)
thanks
Still looking for a new case, got my phone a few weeks ago after upgrading from a Samsung S4, are people on this forum still using P9?

[REVIEW] UltimateShield Tempered Glass Screen Protector OP7 Pro

This will be a short review which hopefully helps OP7 Pro owners wether they should buy the tempered glass protector from Ultimate Shield or not. Please take your time and read the whole review
PRODUCT PAGE
https://www.ultimateshield.co.uk/products/oneplus-7-pro-tempered-glass-screen-protector
This might be the time to add that Ultimate Shield did not tell me to write this, I bought the screen protector because I have used their OP5 tempered glass in the past and was satisfied with that one. In case the pictures don't show on your screen, I've attached them in a zip file down below.
What do you get?
For £11.99 (~14€ / ~15$) and free worldwide you get one screen protector, instructions, dust removal stickers (which I forgot when taking the picture), a microfiber cloth and a wet cloth.
I bought it because I wanted a tempered glass screen protector which is curved so I can protect the whole display including the curved edges.

What about applying it?
The instructions are basically useless, since we're dealing with a screen protector which sticks to the phone with the adhesive side, so no bubbles, no "vacuum" or anything like that, as long as the display has been cleaned before nothing can go wrong, just make sure that the side slim black bar is alined with the top of the phone. Oh and you should remove the preapplied screen protector before putting this one on the display. After that it is important to apply preassure on the border of the screen protector to make it stick, and this is where things get critical, at least that is what happened to me. Even though it looks like I've prefectly placed the glass on top of the display some parts of the protector simply won't stick, or at least stick for a few minutes. I have added some photos where you can see a tiny gap. Keep in mind that I have applied A LOT of pressure on those parts, more than enough. The screen protector has rounded corners and a curved edge, it covers about 99 percent of the display.
What about colours and sharpness of the display with the screen protector?
After applying the screen protector I haven't noticed any kind of weird colour shifting or rainbow effect. It still looks as sharp as before, but due to reflections the edge of the display has some minor rainbow effect. I only notice that at a specific angle and when the background is white. Oh and it doesn't seem to cut off any part of the screen.
What about the fingerprint reader?
After deleting the old fingerprints and adding new ones with the screen protector applied the fingerprint scanner works 99/100 times, it might take a split second longer than without it, but I didn't have any issues.
What about the touchscreen and gestures?
This is where I got frustrated. After using the phone with the tempered glass I instantly noticed that the touchscreen wasn't as responsive as it was before. "alright", I said to myself, "It is completely normal that it feels different now". Unfortunately this is why I would personally not buy this screen protector again. I had to apply more pressure than ususal when tapping on an icon and so on. Sometimes the touchscreen didn't register even though my finger clearly touched the glass. This was very annoying when using the keyboard, in almost every sentence at least one or two characters where simply missing because the touchscreen wasn't as responsive as before. Same story with gestures, you need a lot more pressure and when swping up or down in order to open the app drawer or notifications it sometimes works but sometimes it takes up to three tries in order to get the gesture to work. In comparison, without the tempered glass screen protector I had no issues at all.
SUMMERY
Applying it was easy but when I did it it didin't stick as good as I hoped it would. The tempered glass screen protector doesn't really change colours, which is a good thing. THe touchscreen experience was comparable with one of those older smartphones where you had to use more force and it wasn't as accurate. Overall, I can not recommend it for the price, unless you use the touchscreen with a lot of force. If you think that I didn't apply it correctly feel free to "call me out" in the comment section and tell me how you would have done it.
UPDATE
Since the tempered glass didn't stick very well anyway I went ahead and carefully removed it and moved it about 1mm downward. Unfortunately the touchscreen is still not responsive enough to use the keyboard without any issues which is why I contacted Ultimate Shield directly via Email. (still waiting for them to reply)
FINAL UPDATE
They answered and after looking at the images I send them they said that it might be faulty because according to them the black adhesive should stick much better than it did in my case. They were kind enough to give me a refund! If you bought one and had a much better experience please tag me so I can quote your opinion!
Probably cus it's not full adhesive. We need to wait for Whitestone or something like that

Probably, I think my application was good, I guess the adhesive can't do the job when it comes to the curved edges...
Too bad OP didn't release one at launch. I assume they will down the road like they did with the 6T.

Well the flap of the protective foil that was on the the glass was probably the indicator.
That and the fact that the bottom part of teh black frame was way wider than the upper part...
About 2mm of black adhesive on the buttom and 1mm on the top...
EDIT:
It wouldn't make sense to aline the the thicker black line with the thin bezel
I've sent UltimateShield an email concerning this issue.
I've ordered same protector for delivery tomorrow, getting the phone today so I'll give it a go, how is it with cases or have you not checked? I've ordered the Ringke Fusion-X too so would hope they'll work together.
Watched this video of the PureGear protector, from XDA fave TK Bay, which looks mucho pricey but seems to play nicely with, at least, official cases.

the glass doen't fully the cover the display, there's about 1 to 1.5mm between the tempered glass and the frame of the phone, I can use the transparent TPU case that came with the phone without any problems
Thank you for your review. I currently have a film on my screen now. I was thinking about purchasing a tempered glass shield for my 7 pro especially since T-Mobile has the Puregear one on sale for 10 bucks off (if I'm not mistaking) but I'm not sure.
I actually ordered the same tempered glass, but I noticed that it wasnt clear and that the black outline on the edges was the adhesive. It doesn't truly embrace the curved screen, but you can use it for the back of your phone. I glued to the back of my 7 Pro with the clear case on. Your phone will look like a beast

I'm waiting for this to show up: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RP5KJXV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Seems like a Whitestone clone. Hoping it's decent.
Got one too. Install was super easy but like said in OP, sensitivity gets way worse. I would not recommend.
Do you know if the product is in stock?
Looks like the OP product was replaced by a newer full adhesive version:
https://www.ultimateshield.co.uk/co...us-7-pro-7t-pro-liquid-glass-screen-protector
The screen of my 7Pro looks like new. I never used a screen protector. Just the sandstone hardcase for the back.
