What is a LogCat?
A "LogCat" is for debugging applications / Android system. When applications / Android crash the output the "explanation" for the crash, the Exception Stacktrace, to a Log. This log can be saved and help developers to fix the crash.
What is it supposed to do?
It will help to solve your questions, if your asked for a LogCat it is always useful.
How can I get a LogCat?
Prerequisites:

USB cable for your device
Android Device
Instructions:

Install your device driver for using adb. Everything you need will you find here
Download adb executable for your OS (Download: Windows | Linux | Mac). Paste it somewhere.
Connect your android device.
Verify if "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging" is checked, if not, simply check it.
Open a command prompt (windows) or terminal (linux / mac). How to do it: On Windows: windows + r > enter "cmd" (without quotes) > click enter | On Linux: You don't know how to open a terminal? LOL | On Mac: Type Terminal into Spotlight and open it
CD to the directory where the adb executable is located. On Windows: Go to the directory where you downloaded the adb executable, Shift+Right Click and select "Open Console" (or similar) | On Linux / Mac: Rightclick in the directory and select "Open Terminal here" (or simply CD into the directory)
Type in your cmd/terminal: adb devices to verify your device is properly connected.
If your device is properly selected, type in adb logcat to show the mighty and magic logcat aka stacktrace.
Reproduce your error (or whatever) on your device.
Right after, paste the whole cmd / terminal window into a paste-service like [url]http://pastebin.com/[/url] and send it to us.

NOTE: if you still encounter Force Close setting up FINGERPRINT SECURITY, kindly go thru : "Settings > Security > Screen lock" , then choose your type , before you come back to set Finger print.

It's a little light on mods but a good looking uncluttered rom which I guess is trying to offer performance over mods . I like it .

Im in the US. And i don't know honestly my theory is that the mods are out of control and are being way too harsh. They pick up every off topic thing to be an offense even on an of topic thread which is weird. Once, i even got permbanned because they mistook me as a bully with a similar name. I had to make a whole new account! Anyway, the developer who ported most of the ROMS keeps uploading and removing them, you'd be considered lucky if you have a few! I want to port some from the MDTK varient to the qualcomm but i need to still learn a few things before it becomes possible lol

Yeah bro . I am in Europe . I am glad to say EVERYTHING minus Volte works on all the mtk Roms so way more stable ..
Since I'm in Europe I couldn't advise you on where to buy but just keep in mind the Amazon variant can't be unlocked .....
There are three prominent developers building from source so the ROMs are quality and we have a Telegram group up .
iykeDROID is the most active and really going through the ROM list like a storm and all his ROMs are working and he is keen on looking into Oreo if he has time and can get bringups for Oreo
I'm sure you can get the info you need to build from source for Qualcomm but trying to use mtk stuff on Qualcomm just won't work well bro cos its a different chip ..
You would be better off going through XDA university to learn how to build from source and then ask someone to help you with source trees and then to build
Porting is a real pain with many bugs unless you get lucky and find an almost identical device running the ROM you wanna port
Either way I'd like to think we are a bunch of easy going dudes in mtk but it always pays trying to be friendly and respectful ....usually gets you what you need .
I like XDA but as with everything in life people can feel underappreciated or get offended easily if they trying to do positive development as a passion
Same guys who love trying ROMs and modding phones can sometimes forget this is for development and free so be greatful for what you get however buggy it is
Anyway if you join mtk it will just increase the chances of more development and more fun . No idea where you would pick up the mtk variant in the states ....

But just some apps change the language, the options like settings and the general configuration are not in spanish. When I put the locate Español México o Español España it looks a sentence that say: "some apps dont change the language"

Bug : Settings force close . When trying to add fingerprint I get fc in settings . When changing other settings my device reboots ...not everytime but enough to be a pain .

Ya i know about ambient display settings but it is working ? Nd fingerprint is working for me and equilizer nd messaging app is source related i can't help that for now just have patience . Glad u liked it

Ya i ve asked the team member to add apn confs in vendor just wait it will be corrected soon

the rom did not come with the messenger and has some bugs in the equalizer

There was second thread with this rom... I download it from there and messaging app exist normally ..

Actually I don't have xperia m device. So can't give screenshots of nicki.
I made the rom using device sources from official lineageOS repositories and dotOS is based on Lineage only. So everything should work literally. Better you try the ROM and provide me Screenshots of it so that I can post in the OP
And yeah! dual sim patch is already linked in the download section along with ROM and gapps

Rom is very good. I like some changes in animations. Here are some screenshots.

But rises again, harder and stronger.

Color engine doesn't seem to be working. When I change the colour in settings, nothing happens.

Rom is very good and fast.
I have only one remark. Pocket mode use proximity sensor all time when mobile display is turned off. Please modify pocket mode to turn on proximity sensor when power button is pressed and this time to check if proximity sensor is covered or not. Or if can't do that add option to enable/disable pocket mode.

What is a LogCat?
A "LogCat" is for debugging applications / Android system. When applications / Android crash the output the "explanation" for the crash, the Exception Stacktrace, to a Log. This log can be saved and help developers to fix the crash.
What is it supposed to do?
It will help to solve your questions, if your asked for a LogCat it is always useful.
How can I get a LogCat?
Prerequisites:

USB cable for your device
Android Device
Instructions:

Install your device driver for using adb. Everything you need will you find here
Download adb executable for your OS (Download: Windows | Linux | Mac). Paste it somewhere.
Connect your android device.
Verify if "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging" is checked, if not, simply check it.
Open a command prompt (windows) or terminal (linux / mac). How to do it: On Windows: windows + r > enter "cmd" (without quotes) > click enter | On Linux: You don't know how to open a terminal? LOL | On Mac: Type Terminal into Spotlight and open it
CD to the directory where the adb executable is located. On Windows: Go to the directory where you downloaded the adb executable, Shift+Right Click and select "Open Console" (or similar) | On Linux / Mac: Rightclick in the directory and select "Open Terminal here" (or simply CD into the directory)
Type in your cmd/terminal: adb devices to verify your device is properly connected.
If your device is properly selected, type in adb logcat to show the mighty and magic logcat aka stacktrace.
Reproduce your error (or whatever) on your device.
Right after, paste the whole cmd / terminal window into a paste-service like [url]http://pastebin.com/[/url] and send it to us.

Link was down but it was clearly stated that it's on Sourceforge's end. They do post links/tweets to check their servers' stats. We should chill out and wait for the servers to be back.

GPS is fine! now i found double tap to wake is not running, Camera Recording is laggy when i Played. waiting for fixed that.

- If You Want To Enable DT2W For This ROM Change The Kernel To Venom Or Devil .
- But For Video Playback Use MX Player Because HW Decoder Is Laggy Sometimes , Cheers .

this rom is the best rom i have ever tried besides viperos but i am dominant to this rom, Thank You ??

Rom is great no doubt...But Flashlight still turns off few minutes after screen gets off.And its getting traditional as many 7.1 aosp based roms are having this problem.I know its not a bug as it saves battery..but if somebody can fix it then it will be great. Once I got in a bad situation-there was a power failure in my residency so the elevator was not working and we (Me and my father) used stairs so i turned on flashlight and after few minutes it turned off..and my father shouted on me.

I have fixed it. You'll probably get a new build tomorrow and it will be fixed.
Also, watch out for some new venom on new year! Oh boy it will be amazing!

I applied the fix. There is no sound from the speaker just during the conversation. There is no problem with the other applications. (Youtube , ringtone vs..)

Wifi issue is already reported to me on telegram. I will fix it. AOSP EXTENDED will get new updates soon.

Dot OS is now official. Official build will be up within next 24 hours. Expect bugs to be fixed. Builds will be automated, so expect untested builds. Simply report to me if some bug is there.

A "LogCat" is for debugging applications / Android system. When applications / Android crash the output the "explanation" for the crash, the Exception Stacktrace, to a Log. This log can be saved and help developers to fix the crash.
What is it supposed to do?
It will help to solve your questions, if your asked for a LogCat it is always useful.
How can I get a LogCat?
Prerequisites:

USB cable for your device

Install your device driver for using adb. Everything you need will you find here
Download adb executable for your OS (Download: Windows | Linux | Mac). Paste it somewhere.
Connect your android device.
Verify if "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging" is checked, if not, simply check it.
Open a command prompt (windows) or terminal (linux / mac). How to do it: On Windows: windows + r > enter "cmd" (without quotes) > click enter | On Linux: You don't know how to open a terminal? LOL | On Mac: Type Terminal into Spotlight and open it
CD to the directory where the adb executable is located. On Windows: Go to the directory where you downloaded the adb executable, Shift+Right Click and select "Open Console" (or similar) | On Linux / Mac: Rightclick in the directory and select "Open Terminal here" (or simply CD into the directory)
Type in your cmd/terminal: adb devices to verify your device is properly connected.
If your device is properly selected, type in adb logcat to show the mighty and magic logcat aka stacktrace.
Reproduce your error (or whatever) on your device.
Right after, paste the whole cmd / terminal window into a paste-service like [url]http://pastebin.com/[/url] and send it to us.

The rom is good and smooth but there is no night shift i hope you add it i always use it at night to rest my eyes and when i activate power saving mod there is orange color on the status bar and no option to remove this color but till now it's good rom I am using sidecore kernel which i think it's better than the kernel come with the rom and i loved your dot extras
And i still don't test the battery

Sure, i'm planning to bring many ROMS to this device, i just need some time to prepare the sources

Very nice work, man.
I dirty flashed over my RR and after removing the old Gapps and reinstalling it's running like clockwork.
Runs super smooth, animations are quick and seemless. I am impressed with the minimal apps and the lightweight features that still give it a finished feel.

Everything is OK except battery at night in plane mode . I loose 20 % ! . only android is about 5 %. Any suggestions. I need To test another kernel?

problem i observed is i cant add items on qs panel and some fc on launcher settings. other than that, rom is smooth and is stunningly beautiful.

very good contribution brother, do you have plans to build the ROM Dirty Unicorns? I think it would be a good idea, and more now that it is already in Oreo, do not you think? Would it be possible? :')?

I've been looking to build more roms for this device, specially Dirty Unicorns, but if i do it won't be Oreo. LineageOS 15 hasn't been released officially yet so i'm waiting until they do to get the right device tree for jfltexx. But yes, it would be possible if i use JDCTeam jfltexx device tree to build any Oreo ROM. Althought, i'll be doing some experiments on my server and if i get a build that works fine, be sure i'm going to post it here

You can wait until next week, i'll be releasing another build with updates from DotOS Sources so it might come with some fixes and improves
