Black Friday Deals

curious to see if anyone knows if retailers like Best Buy will offer the Moto 360 on their Black Friday deal list?
I just picked up mine at Best buy via open box item ($217), and I have 14 days to return it. Given that this is a new hot item, I'm not anticipating very much of discount in savings if made available on Black Friday - retail is still $250 at both best buy and Moto's website.
bump on this
I bought an Open Box 360 at Best Buy this past weekend for $205 but I have until Jan 15 to return it because of their holiday return policy....you may want to look into that....I doubt it will go much lower than that. What i might do is see if the Gear S drops a lot so I can have both LOL!
The best I can find is buying Target gift cards on black friday at 10% off, then waiting until Saturday the 29th to buy the 360 from their website at effectively 10%off. it would be 224 before taxes

That's fine since if I return it I will get either the ZenWatch or Gear S...but so far I am liking the 360...the only real issue is trying to find a good and safe metal band that won't break the bank

Yup. Couple of things I am interested in terms of long term usage is 1) Amoled burn-in (some LG GWAR users reporting burn-in) 2) charger pin problems like rusting/loose contact (That happened to original LG G watch)

Seriously oneplus releases another phone in April then they are following the apple release cycle so it will be like very hard to digest for my kind people to switch over every six month once. So I drop out from oneplus if they release because already suffered one time I can't suffer again. But anyway price will not drop to bottom but I thing gradually.

Preorder and normal price of S9/S9 +

Hello
What do You think will be the price for S9/S9+ in preorder and what price it'll have when it will be available for sale in stationary electronics shops? (in US and EU if possible please)

Anticipating $899 S9, $999 S9+ USD. Hopefully that $350 S8 trade-in launch deal is real.

I doubt it will be that much, my guess is $799US S9 and $899US S9+ mainly to separate its price brackets to the king crop Note 8. Id say a mild $40-50 increase in price from the S8 series would be probably more in line.

Yeah I'd have to agree. Its going to be a minor bump in price if anything.
Least the S9 I'd say mild bump if any on the phone... S9+, it does have more ram and the dual camera so I'd expect it to be somewhere between what the S8+ and Note8 was at launch time.
Rumors in some european forums are getting hot and angry since this morning:

Yes, that sux, but we all have to get used to the fact that every newer Galaxy S will have a minor better battery +200 mAh or no change and in RAM no change or +2 GB after 2 or 3 generations.
BTW Where's that trade-in for S9? I know that for current 8 there's one.

I agree, the price goes up while Samsung drop a flagship feature then overwhelmed the device with an non-practical feature. :crying:
That's the trend I am seeing.
Hopefully the MWC 2018 brings some devices with similar features and these are available immediately afterwards. Maybe than the price will drop rapidly.

That would be good.
I especially followed prices after the premier of S7 and a rapid price drop I noticed after 4 months from the start of the retail sale (EU).
A big price drop for S8 (again EU), I noticed for Christmas 2017.
BTW any idea what bonus will be added to the preorders? VR or the new DEX maybe?
No info here. The reveal show is sunday und preorder starts monday if I'm right. Personally I hope for a trade-in of devices which are 2 years or younger.

I've recently confirmed with Samsung that indeed there is no info on preorders until the Premiere is done.
I was hoping for some leaks...
The trade-in sounds better than the new Dex and much much better than VR.
But I think that 3 years or younger would be a smash hit, especially because of the prices that recently leaked...
So its a trade-in actually. My S7 is traded for fix 100 € + up to 190 € if its in a very good condition. So I could get a S9+ for roundabout 600€ with trade-in and a company voucher. I'll wait some couple of days to decide.
Quite a difference here among carriers:

7T vs Realme x2 Pro

Just noticed that this device will be available in Europe and the UK in November and am struggling to think of any reason to go for the 7T over this, other than OxygenOS,
This thing seems to have everything, including 64mp camera,20x zoom,50 watt charging,90hz display, dual speakers, the list goes on ,and it's much cheaper than the 7T,
Also Realme is under Oppo just like OnePlus
https://www.realme.com/eu/realme-x2-pro
Bumping, in case anyone has an opinion on this or has handled both these phones.
No one knows, until it's available. There's a dude on the X2Pro forum who's got it and sharing feedback on the phone. I too was debating whether to wait, but because of the recent 11.11 sales snagged a 7T for cheap. Loving it so far.
If you can wait, why not?

The different reviews I saw seem to say that the OP7T camera is a bit better.... But man, this 50W charging... And apparently lots of Realme phones get OOS custom ROMs... Imagine an X2 pro with OOS... I'm still waiting to receive my OP7T from China so the price is similar with an X2 Pro but if I had bought an OP7T at the official European price, I would send it back right away to get an X2 pro.
Just my 2 cents

I would agree, €600 in Europe and you only get the 8/128 model.Get it in China you can get it much cheaper or even the 8/256 model for around €500.
For me personally I just don't like the idea of them opening the device and flashing OOS on the China version. I like my phone to be new, untouched, factory sealed,(though with Oneplus pricing I am thinking I might have to get over that)
The Realme though is excellent value for €500 for 12/256 though your taking a hit in the camera processing and the software experience overall

Them? Who? You can buy X2Pro with Oxygen OS?
As far as I've read, like others have said, Color OS and the camera are the downsides of X2Pro. But once the Dev community gets going, we can always flash a custom rom so one issue is sorted. I'm not so sure about the camera.
And 7T may get a price cut once X2 Pro is available everywhere, who knows.

True ,but this is where my OCD and paranoia kicks in,who's to know how long that phone was used, did it drop, was it scratched, what kind of defects did it pick up.
But besides that, the prices are great so small price perhaps if the phone arrives safe

yeah it's a bit different for me since I bought it from a local seller who imported the phone sealed from China, then before he unbox and install ROM I received real time image of it still sealed with imei. So pretty much the phone was new out of box and it was like a friend helped me install the ROM, no worries.
So maybe try to do that to help with the OCD
I believe some Chinese online resellers accept not to open the sealed box if you ask for it.
Someone convince me to go for the 7T.
Where I stay, the X2 Pro is about $75 cheaper. But it was weird niggles like fingerprint not working after you unlock the bootloader and obviously the dev community is lacking.
My main concern about 7T is the battery life, especially with 90Hz. Someone tell me this isn't an issue. I certainly value dev/AOSP roms, though currently there's not much going on here except a couple of kernels (good ones though). I suppose this device needs more time for the ROMs scene to gather pace, hopefully..

The main reason there is not that much custom ROMs for now is that there is not working TWRP yet. There is still one on XDA, Omnirom, which seems to be pretty functional. Honestly battery life is perfect on this phone, and warp charge 30T makes you stop thinking about it IMHO.
I read somewhere that unlocking the bootloader on X2 Pro disables the under display FP scanner. I think that's a big deal if you're into flashing and stuff.
Such a turnoff for an otherwise amazing phone.
I suspect once more phones start shipping with Android 10 (maybe from Jan), TWRP will be fixed.
Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger in a few hours.
Someone tell me green/etc tint on the display isn't an issue [emoji14][emoji849]
Edit: And buy, i did.

Worth buying?

So I'm looking to buy the Snapdragon model of the S20 about £530 / $660 https://www.tecobuy.co.uk/en_UK/samsung-galaxy-s20-g9810-12gb-128gb-dual-sim-5g-cosmic-grey-4.html (not sure how reliable it they are)

Best phone I ever had.
Photo, phone quality, features.
Battery life is good, I have the Snapdragon.
You won't regret at this price.
Absolutely worth it at that price. I have the CDN version (G981W, snapdragon) and got it for $1650 CAD and love it, just wish I didn't have to pay so much for it.

It's bootloader locked ATM , so no cfw ... unfortunate but it is still a wicked phone
Even using Dex @ work I barely reach 10g ram usage. Dex alone was a selling feature for me. And it's actually usable now, compared to when it launched back on the s8
I recently switched from my iPhone XS Max and completely happy with this phone. No buyers remorse in any way.

Don't bother with tempered glass screen protectors unless you want to go with a Whitestone dome, the cheap ones are trash.
As for roms, there are none other than a GSI . And you need to have a non-NA snapdragon model that is bootloader unlockable.
Personally I don't miss root ..a few things, sure, but not enough to make me regret picking up this device
