re lock the bootloader and unroot? - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

hello to everyone , I would like to know how to re lock the bootloader and unroot and flash to stock global rom. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I am currently using RR on china dev base (chiron)
thanks

I believe if you wipe and flash stock, it relocks the bootloader.

It was fine for me. If you are still a bit nervous use the Xiaomi flash tool to flash a fastboot stock Rom and pick the flash and relock option in the bottom right http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

locking the bootloader does not return you to stock. you need to flash the stock rom via fastboot to return it to stock.
If you want it lock up again use ''fastboot oem lock'' command.

no. nothing about locking the bootloader returns anything to stock.
the only thing locking the bootloader does is:
1) remove the lock symbol on the google bootup
2) no longer allows flashing of insecure images.

You get the stock recovery with getting the nexus image and flashing with ''fastboot flash recovery recovery.img''. So basically getting a factory device is with downloading the image, doing the flash-all and fastboot oem lock at the end.
ah ok, thank you all
Edit:
Zepius, I followed the guide in your signature. It was painless, thanks

Does the old trick of booting to recovery via fastboot still work? I haven't had an HTC phone for a while....

Yes you can flash any ROM while S-On. S-Off is not needed for that.
And yes, you can get to recovery via your bootloader. But once you have a custom ROM, the option to boot to recovery will be available when you long press power.
S-OFF only really comes handy as you can flash different FW packages that aren't signed by HTC, or downgrade to an older FW package if required/wanted
Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I understand you can't flash a kernel with S-ON right?

Did you do any modifications on your phone like root?
If so, you'll need to restore to stock either with fastboot ROM or MSM tool, the lock the bootloader.

Never lock the bootloader after making system-level changes!

how do i restore to stock? please help me
is it safe to just relock normally in fastboot via command prompt if ur on beta 2 one plus ?? Do i need any files to do it ? except adb etc...
If You did not messed with Rom it will be ok, but if You root it, first You need to go back to stock rom
Will the phone boot after relocking with a custom rom without root?
If You are full stock, stock rom, fastboot, all is stock, You should lock bootloader with no problem.

Got my HD1905, unlocked bootloader (no root etc. Only to be able to use TWRP, just in case) and installed my apps. Then I noticed the Netflix problem with unlocked bootloader. If I do a 'fastboot oem lock' now, I'm pretty sure it will do a factory reset, correct?
Thx, W

Use simply mi
flash and check the box "flash and lock bootloader" but only with a ROM from the region where you bought it.

download the stock fastboot rom, it's very important you pay attention to the region, never relock ur devices with a different version of miui, boot your device to bootloader and connect it to ur computer, unpack the zip twice then click on flash_all_lock.bat
