Sandisk sd cards are supported, funny message when inserting - Razer Phone Questions & Answers

Someone in another thread said they got an error saying Sandisk sd cards are unsupported. This should probably read, "The sd card you've inserted is formatted with an unsupported filesystem, may we format it?"
Once you do the prompts it becomes apparent that the sd needs to be re-formatted into a supported filesystem. Iirc I inserted it with exfat formatting.

I get the error when i insert my Samsung 128 card

Can't boot from storage card

I have formatted the card to fat32, checked it for errors, copied the HERMIMG.nbh file to the root of the storage card and when i try to boot its stucks in bootloader (IPL-1.04 / SPL-2.10.olipro) saying "Serial" and stucks there.
I have tried many roms but its same thing.
The phone is not bricked, it just want boot from storage card.
Can someone help me with this problem please?
sd card Has to be 2Gb or less...
it is - 1 GB microsd card.
try blowing compressed air into the sd card reader as there may be dust in there. If the sd card isn't formatted fat32 (please check, they come formatted FAT as default) it won't work and doublecheck spellng on hermimg.nbh, I have heard of people putting in herming.nbh, that won't work.

[Q] SD card read-only

Hi guys,
Every now and then my sd-cards stops responding. I have a 8 Gb card with almost 1700 ext3 partition rest on fat 32. phone stops "preparing sd card" and says "SD card mounted read only". Then it doesn't let me "format" the card. I manually put the card into another phone deleted all the files on the SD and formatted it through card reader on windows 7 as fat.
card worked the next day untill i created ext3 partition again. but this time it gave me the option to format the card n took about 20 mintues to do that. I have a Class 2 SD 8Gb.
Any suggestions on that!

I'm having the same errors .Same sd card but on a N7105.Could it be that these cards are not compatible with the Galaxy notes and the sg3 because I have seen same reports on other forums?A lot of them! I also read on another forum that the cards made before December were presenting with these errors .

??Damaged sd card
Have you tried this http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step or this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367912&page=2 ? Am gonna go ahead and try because am now suspecting the card is damaged.
Go physical
My Samsung Galaxy note 2 showed same error. But when I used sd card on my PC I could see all contents. I tried several SD cards, installing apps, changing firmware and always same result. I almost return my cellphone to seller. BUT I remembered that on PC, dirt makes some noise and generates annoying behaviors.
SO I decided to go physical.
I turned off my device
I got off battery door, battery and sd card
I used contact cleaner generously on sd reader.
I waited for about 5 minutes.
I put back sd card, battery and battery door
I turned on my device
Bingo!! My Sd card is back!!!!
I hope this can help you...

Hello, I am having the same problem.
Since yesterday after rebooting my phone, I am getting "damaged sd card". After removing the card and putting it back in, it changed to "Blank SD card or has unsupported filesystem".
Cleaning the contacts didn't help.
Any more advices on this topic? I don't have a card reader for micro sd cards nearby. Is there a way to fix the sd card using adb / filesystem / shell tools?
I have some data on the card I didn't back up yet and don't want to loose.

When SD card get corrupted, you need a PC and a SD card reader. Connect SD card, open command prompt, type “chkdsk /f /X <driver letter>:”.
If this doesn’t fix sd card you need to replace it.

All right, I bought a card reader and tried the chkdsk thing.
To my big surprise, chkdsk told me that the sd card is RAW type and therefore not usable with chkdsk.
How's that even possible? How can a SD card simply change it's type?
Can I reverse it somehow and recover the partion table? I really don't want to loose the cards content.
Any more advices on this?

read only SD card not recognized

My device is rooted, s-off and I flashed WildChild 3.3 some days ago.
Problem is my phone suddenly doesn't see my SD card at all. Camera says "Insert SD card", Root Explorer "SD card not found", Link2SD "SD card not present". Even in CWM trying to mount SD card gives back error.
When connected to my PC with a card reader (my card reader doesn't have any switch) in MiniTool Partition Wizard, it mounts as read only. So I just see the contents of the FAT32 partition, I can't perform format. Could it be fried?
I tried another SD card on my phone and it mounted normally, whereas my SD card had exact the same problem on a Galaxy Europa (not mounting at all).
It is a Verbatim 8GB class 4 and it came with no adaptor. It worked fine until now, it also worked the first days with the new ROM (3 partitions, FAT32, ext2, linux swap). I don't have a clue how it became read-only...
Any ideas?
Most likely corrupted. Seeing that your other card works, its a high possibility that its gone corrupt.
Buy a new one or use the other.

solved
I am going for a new micro SD card. Damn, I would prefer spending my money otherwise...
You can try Hp Formatting Tool, it worked for me everytime. It's like a handy charm. :")
