Thanks for the info !
Regards

I have that in my phone and have not yet installed November patch.

It's not from the latest update, I even had it on the september update

There are multiple sized updates for each release . May be it came as part of one of these . Unfortunately MI doesn't release change logs for A1 ?

Instant apps is part of Google Play Services update. So any smartphone with Android 6 and above will get it.

Monthly Security Patches for Honor-6x

Hallo guys & gals, I wanted to ask you guys about monthly Security Patches as Google has made bound all the OEMs to release monthly security patches for their devices. In this regard most of the devices are getting monthly or at least once in a couple of months but my Honor-6x is not getting any OTA update since April 2017.
Do you guys have any idea or does any body have any Honor 6x with a more recent security update patch?

Honor 6X is getting updated to latest patches every month, currently it's in August Patch 2017...!!!

Every month lol. The best Joke i have read.
Well, it depends on the region, US models are rarely updated (unlike EU and Indian variants)
I saw in your signature that your phone model is BLN-21. Could you check if your build ends with B360? If yes, an update should come out soon but meanwhile you should be able to force it, by going on system update > tap on the 3 dots in the upper right corner > download latest update (if the option isn't there you cannot force it yet)
As you can see in these screenshots, in the 1st system update says that there aren't updates; in the 2nd, the option mentioned above is the first of the list, and finally in the 3rd i can download the update
Whoops i forgot the third screenshot, here it is
Well guys as you can see in my shared screen shot my device is on B361 of update level and the region is actual Pakistan which falls under middle east region. Now I actually created the thread to make it sure, whether my region is getting updates or not?
And thanks, @RedSkull23, I have tried your suggestion but as you see my device is already on B361.
I think my real problem is the update via firmware finder, and that's why my device isn't getting OTA updates. As the below screen shot reveals my device is on B361 but the security patch is 5 April 2017, and it is the time when this update was released and I updated my device through FF, since than I have tried a lot but I couldn't get any OTA update.
Sent from my BLN-L21 using Tapatalk
When I still had my 6x, the patch would come about 10-15 days after Google released it. Couldn't say it's timely, but it indeed come monthly.
Btw, I have a Chinese model 6x.
Monthly in China ? And others can go to hell ?
I had to push B365 after about 3 months after B360. Others don't get it at all.

Can you check or, do you remember if previous build number matches with the number of your actual build, or if not? If they doesn't match, maybe the FF update you did has moved you on a different build number, and so your software update won't find nothing because that's the latest package of your ACTUAL build, instead of the previous. Personally, i get confused every time that i finish to speak about FF updates because with all that packages stored and selectable, the number of possibilities that could provoke an issue are too much to be hold in mind at the same time
You are absolutely right FF has its very serious pros & cons. And yes, I think I remember the previous build number of my device, it was B360 and I did a full package download and dload upgrade on my device, and I also remember I was too much enthusiastic to find a sulotuion for the FM radio problem, yet in vain.

If update size is 200-300 mb then no, it will have the twrp recovery. Make sure you have stock recovery before trying OTA update

[PORT] [OFFICIAL]NX563J-update-V245-GMS

a offical rom with GMS.
also with a lot of Chinese APPs
come from bbs.nubia.cn
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10mf64pSr3habQoq1mAKbckHGuwR3Q2y_/view?usp=sharing
What is this?
Need more info..
GMS google mobile services, this is the 2.45 rom but with Google services.... Unfortunately it has no updates in ota updates where the original non gms rom is at least on 5.16 if anyone still has the update files to get 2.45 updated to current versions, it might be an idea to see if the google services stay intact, this way you can have an unrooted but safe rom maybe even passing safetynet with google apps integrated by Nubia.
Hello!
Can you provide a link to the forum where they wrote about this package?

This version is I uploaded to the nubia forum, but I can only make sure that he is the official version, because it can be brushed through the local OTA upgrade, including the complete Google mobile service. And do not need root, do not need to unlock.

This is not a new version. He is an old version of the official version containing Google Mobile Services.
It is mainly for users who are not willing to root but have the need to use Google Mobile Services. He does not have any new version features.

Yes, I know, but you said it was updateable through the OTA which proved it was official, but unfortunately updates did not show any updates available, so you're stuck with this old build... Even though you do now have Google services...

I am glad that there is such a development once the Nubia is unfortunately not developing.
Could you build a 4.16 ROM based on one of these packages?

September Security Update - 47.2.A.11.228

Hi everyone,
Just to notify that I got new firmware update 47.2.A.11.228.
It includes September Security Updates... and that's a 401.4 MB update..!
Usually it was more like 200 Mo updates if I remember correctly... I wonder why. ^^
Possibly due to Sony focusing on the same time on Android 10 update.
It was more or less the same with Android 9 update last year: no October 2018 update and 2 updates for December, one being Android 9.
From what I read, "What's New" app is still there, but Xperia Lounge disapeared.
... but even being there, What's New is an empty app now ! When you open it, you have a "What's New is no longer available" message.

But you are more secure )
Is there any official Changelog available ?
Removing "whats new" was the number 1 reason for rooting my phone in the past.
The second reason was to dark theme apps... though now most apps seem to be dark.
Hi,
where can i get the whole firmware for g8441 as normal download? Or can someone upload the 47.2.A.11.228 firmware which will work surely? All downloadlinks i found do not work if i dry to flash them with twrp (different errors for different files).
My friends. I have a sony x f5121. When it heats up, the camera's functionality soon becomes limited and then the native camera ends up closing. After these Sony XZ1 updates, does the same problem still persist on the XZ1? (At the time of launch, many reported this problem as well). I am interested in the Sony XZ1, but if it has the same camera problems as the Sony X, it is not viable. Thanks
sony xperia xz1 updated 47.2.a.11.228 I want to root it can someone please give me boot img file etc
Where I can download the 47.2.A.11.228 stock image.
I need this firmware to install LOS 17.1.
Thank you.

No. Still running happily on Pie
Karma Firewall loses it's very useful logging function starting with Q.
My trusted overlay apks get killed as well.
The cloud version of Package Disabler is all that will work on the latter OSs too. Found that out over the weekend. Not a fun 3 hours.
Samsung wasted no time in making Knox even worse in 10 and 11.
So my question is what good things did it bring to you?
Are you feeling mellow and protected or is your urge to kill rising?

That's cool.
The scope storage though is overkill.
Even on my so unpatched Pie security hasn't been an issue unless I do something stupid.
Been waiting for over a year for the malware forced factory reset that never happened.
Just like the masks I'm not buying the hype.
No vaccine and no Android 11... kill me if you can virus, but you won't alter my base code by voluntary injection!

When I manually checked for updates to Play Services today there was a ~470kb update. Installed and rebooted. Checked again and it said there was the same size update available, installed and rebooted. Checked and it was there again. Anyway, took 3 times to install, whether they were different updates I don't know.
Currently on Version 22.12.15 (190400-439420056) which I assume is the latest non-beta version. Still shows as dated 1st March.
(note that my version is 190400 which is what came officially from a check for updates so not sure about the 190400 vs 190408 debate)

Bit of a shame that Google is simply copy/pasting the update log from previous months. I was hoping for some decent information, as to where certain things had been improved, instead we just get the same generic text every time, very slightly altered. So the question arises: Is it even necessary/useful to try to keep this up to date with manual installing?

I have got several 496kb Play Services updates over the past few days, sometimes a couple on the same day, now on Version 22.13.12 (190400-437950728).
Again, not sure if it's the same version failing until it successfully installs or if each has been a genuine update (the fact it has been exactly the same sized update each times makes me think it's the former).
Just received Play Services Version 22.15.14 (190400-441847897)
(still showing as March 1st)
Anyone get April update yet? Still nada here.
Still on March.
Yet on March ..
