Rattle Rattle! - Razer Phone Questions & Answers

My vibration motor makes some nasty rattling noises, anyone have this?

Actually using a vibration tester, while vibrating I pressed down on the lower speaker area.. Sounds normal now.. I think it's actually the speaker grill or something else that was loose...

Same here. To stop the buzzing, I have to hold it firmly in my hand so I would "cancel" all the collateral vibration of the device.

The vibration on mine is horrible. Sounds super loose.

I've used 3 phones, none had rattle from the haptic feedback motor...
RMA it.

[Q] Phone Vibration Due to Sounds

Anyone noticed the sound vibrating strongly through the back cover of the phone during music or gaming session? The volume is not even turn up all the way. Feel that it's quite distracting and a bit uncomfortable to hold during these times.
For example, I hold the phone horizontally like a gamepad. I can literally feel the back cover vibrates and the sound blasting away at my hands. Only way to minimise it (though still not eliminate it) is to lower the volume to 30% or below but that's not practical for real usage.
Is it about the plastic cover? Or you put your finger in the speaker, my note don't vibrate so much but you can feel a little vibration when the volume is at max

Ya, the sound is vibrating right through the whole back plastic cover causing it to vibrate. The louder it is, the more severe the vibration. At max volume, I would say it's more than a little vibration. When you place the phone on top of your palm directly, you can feel throughout your whole palm. It's difficult to game or watch any videos.

I take it that you use one of those thick leather-type flip case? I'm sure those will absorb and prevent you from noticing much vibration.

[Q] Volume rocker loose and makes noise, anyone else?

Hey everyone, I'm unfortunately outside my 14 day return/exchange window with best buy...But I've noticed that I can wiggle the volume rocker up and down just a little bit. I'm not as concerned with that as I am with the fact that if I hold the phone up to my ear and shake it back and forth a bit, I can hear the volume rocker shaking. Its barely audible, but its there. Sounds like plastic hitting plastic, just very faint. There's no usability issues, but I am worried that like in 6 months I won't be able to use the volume rocker because something internal broke off. My previous phone, S3, I could only use the volume down button. Volume up was non responsive and it was just a hassle.
Would something like this be covered under factory warranty? Should I be concerned and does anyone else have a small clicking noise when they shake their phone when its near your ear?
is it all carriers?

Mine is slightly loose too as you've described. My previous Galaxy Nexus also had this issue, but I took that phone in I was told by those at the Verizon store that this is common in most phones and showed me the same thing on the display phones in the store as well as a new phone recently taken out of the box. I'd say unless the actual function of the rocker is affected you'd have a hard time getting a replacement or fix, unfortunately. That was just my experience. Maybe you'd have better luck.

Mine is loose, if it ever causes functionality issues you can do a warranty exchange.
Mine is loose too. I'm not worried about it.

Finger print scanner rattling

So after dropping my Nexus 5x on a case i started noticing that there was a slight rattle on the back of the phone so after paying close attention it's coming from the fingerprint scanner. So is it possible that there was adhesive that's broke lose or do they come like that can someone confirm if they have rattling without dropping the phone
Mine has a slight rattle, but it's only noticeable when I put the phone up to my ear and shake it.

Don't worry, I have a rattle also and I haven't dropped this thing yet. My guess is that it's the weight on the vibration motor.
Well at least I know now that it wasn't because I dropped it which was my main concern and thanks for the replies guys
Ive smacked my phone against my car seat a few times while getting out and I feel a springy vibration feeling in it when that happens. Figured it was the vibration motor
Both of mine rattle a little, seems like it's normal.
It has been confirmed by google customer support as well as many threads on reddit and here that the rattle is the spring mechanism in the SIM tray. Push the SIM removal tool into the hole and hold it in with your finger while you shake the phone... you probably won't hear it anymore. Its just something you have to ignore with the peace of mind that nothings actually broken

rattle inside?

anyone have a really faint rattling inside the phone if you shake it? it's mostly when shaking the phone laterally. It's really faint, but i'm wondering if it's just mine and if it's something to be concerned about.

All I hear is my volume rocker. It's been a little loose on every HTC phone I've had since the m8

Woobly / Rattling Power and Volume Buttons

As the title said,
Anybody experience the same thing? My buttons quite woobly / rattling when I move it around, is this common? If not, should I return it?
Thank you.

My volume rocker is a bit loose but is very tactile. My power button is tight and tactile too.
Only my power button interesting enough. My volume rocket doesn't wiggle at all.
Since everyone got different problems does this mean it's a faulty unit? Or it is by design?
Desptite the woobly, my buttons seems to work normally, just rattle when you moved it arround quick enough and I can hear the rattling sound even when the phone covered in a case.
My volume rocker is loose. Not as loose as it was on my m8. Kind of annoying but most likely common. Power button isn't loose at all.
Mine is loose too just like it was on the m8. No biggie; the screen polarization is what gets me...
