I know that clean flash is recommended... but can I dirty flash this over aex4.4? My zenmax is currently used by my father and it contains many important data as he is a govt worker..so I can't really clean flash it...

Technically it should work, but there is a little bit risk, backup your data first then do drity flash .

No problem till now. Just wanna let you know, but make sure to backup fisrt just in case something wrong happen.
Hi, I'd like to confirm crackling audio issue. I get it while notifications come on the phone immediately after unlock / wake from sleep.
Also, facing frequent disconnections of Bluetooth on Android Auto while inside the car and connected to the headunit. No other device of mine has this particular issue. There is also a fair bit of stutter while playing FLAC audio both via Pulsar and Poweramp. Need logs?

Don't wipe internal memory and SD card and use titanium backup pro to backup app+app data...so that you can restore them after clean flash
Does this rom supports sd 615 msm8939?
And does the camera video recording work with 3rd party apps like snapchat, instagram?
I am not able to find roms for 615, and the ones from 4pda have this bug...

I did tried flashing and :
1.gave me assertion error,
2.removed the assert lines from updater script and flashed, rom did flashed but then bootlogo appears and then screen turns off...
(Device is Z010DD and not Z010D)

1. maybe you are using old version of recovery, update that.
2. there is some fix file to boot sd615 (Z010DD) (join our device group on telegram to get that)

sir, the rom works very well and the battery backup is pretty good too....but the volumes (both ring and media) are quite low, even when turned on full. Please tell what to do.

Error 7 usually occurs when your device info doesnt match with the updater-script and lots of users have flashed the rom successfully so may be this error is due to your device info(may be u have tweaked it get some other phone features) or rom zip is corrupted.
If u think rom zip is fine then copy it in a computer and test the zip using winrar

If you are decrypted
You just have to flash rom-gapps-supersu and reboot and yeah follow normal wiping process before flashing (system,data,dalvik and cache)

Clean flash is always recommended. Bug reports are not appreciated if not clean flashed. Take a Nandroid Backup via TWRP before updating. Remove any kind of security PINs/Password and Fingerprints before flashing this build.
1. Speakers don't work on ZE601KL model. You need to flash this zip by @LuK1337 to get a working speaker.
2. Device reboots when connected to OTG/Media storage after screen turns off.

I think u cant... Its somewhat the most hardest bug to solve and so many aosp based roms hav it... I didn't tried ur build so dnt knw if the bug is present or not... U can check by rebooting while charging..

im using ur build.that bug doesnt exist to ur rom. super smooth and till now i never encounter random reboot especialy when i watching autoplay video in facebook thank you for this rom :victory:
I know,booting with usb plug in will make your device keep rebooting,
But i dont know why my device not facing that bug,i use ze550kl (ZooL) with AEX 4.5 unnoficial

Flash the clean_modem_status.zip (link in the OP) and see if returns to works. May be a modem bug.
That didn't work for me so I decided to re-flash the ROM. all is well now thanks
....
Hi guys. Can anybody test if Alto's Adventure is working on this ROM? For me it hangs shortly after launching with screen blinking or just closes without any error message.

In OP... Writed "Quark" in blue. Didn't work? The number in the final of AFH link has to be 224087
OK. I an on XDA labs, and Quark in the op is orangish brownish, not blue? That link takes me to the unofficial 9-18-2017 upload, which I already have. I do not see another link to a more current upload. So, is that the one you are speaking of?
Also, are you still keeping viper os updated?

Oh ok I got it. Yeah it just that build Unofficial that I was talking about. Sorry if I've get the idea of more than that only one.
Talking about ViperOS, Yes. Just waiting for they update the source on github (stills in 2.1 version with june(?) security patch). According to the leader of the project, the source will be updated soon to 3.1 Coral version (Final Nougat release with october Security Patch), but I don't even know when. Official support of VOS I've talked with him and probably only in Oreo for us.

Found a bug?:
Check if you make a clean install (wiping Cache, Data, Dalvik/ART Cache and System). If you did a "dirty flash" I won't give you a solution. If you made a clean install, report it, and don't forget the logcat. Official supported ROMs can be only a bug of the ROM or of the device. If it's of ROM, report in the official ways of the ROM, like Telegram Group or G+ Community.

of course i will try porting rom oreo
but i'm waiting for Los15 from @jackeagle
i think jackeagle will not be doing so any time soon or maybe he has left development for this device as he left the Los 14.1 development too...maybe he is waiting for lineage guys to push official LOS 15..

however I can do the ported method rom

By the way..is there any disadvantage or a functional difference between ported and rom built from the source ?

All depends on the source devices ported
ill test both of your aosp roms after a few days
please try to port RR or AEX rom if you have time....
and which one did you find ore smooth and nice RR or AEX ?

For now, rr is more stable than aex
For rom aex I will update 10h again, with version 4.1 and more stable

rr and aex,
they are equally good
I think you should be updating and make one rom which has better functionality and customization bugfree first....and concentrate on that.....or try to directly work on oreo porting project so you have less work load and we get faster updates...and please try to merge the latest securtiy patch in new update

I will work on android project 8.1 rr aex , if los15 is built by someone else

Hey faced any problem like keyboard delay and crash and automatic reboots and long boot yimes as in lineage 14.1 by jackeagle
