Happy to see your kernel here

Man I was about to go back to stock, but just saw this. Def putting this on my phone. missed you

M8 to 5X to Pixel 2...running your kernels year after year.

Here we gooooo

Is the EX Kernel Manager not compatible with the kernel yet?
I open the app and theres only Elemental X, CPU Times, Battery Monitor, Settings and About in the left sidebar.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still those 5 items only.
EDIT:
Ok, I flashed stock boot, then Magisk, then EX kernel, all via the TWRP 3.1.1 beta.
Found out I lost root.
Reboot to TWRP, found out I lost TWRP.
Man! This Pixel 2 is hard to figure out.
Still don't understand the rules and order of flashing stuff on it.
EDIT2:
Went and go through the steps of fastbooting TWRP and installing TWRP again.
Then installed Magisk via the installed TWRP and now I'm stuck at the boot logo G with the animating line.
EDIT3:
Ok, wiped caches via TWRP and I got back into the OS!
Have root and the EX Kernel Manager is behaving as usual.
Flashing stuff just got harder.

Is the download page correctly labeled? It says the kernel is for the Pixel sailfish, not walleye.
Also, is it possible to just flash the .img via fastboot? Wouldn't like to install TWRP at the moment.

AndroidFileHost doesn't have a page for walleye
You don't need to install TWRP, just fastboot boot TWRP and then install the zip.

Is there a way to install w/ out TWRP?

No.
Just fastboot boot TWRP and install
There is no need to install TWRP on this device, it's better if you just boot it.

Okay. Do you know what order I should do if just booting twrp, and wanting to root via magisk?
Would I flash the kernel or magisk.zip first?

I flashed the kernel first, and then Magisk 14.5. Everything is working just fine.

Nice to see you here. Your Kernel for the Pixel and HTC 10 was awesome. Thanks for your hard work to give us a better phone!

Is it possible to make another sensor entry without the required permission for the elmyra sensor?
I can listen to the event it fires fine as a system app.

Welp, there is more than one way to install a ROM. Just getting TWRP/A recovery is 100% easier and more time efficient. To answer your question simply, yes. Yes there is.

What linux version is this built with?

Well ain't this a Nice Surprise, was wondering if you'd show up, well I suspected you may off, but still I didn't know when.....Hello Flar, Remember using your HTC Kernels and loved them.....
Brought to you by my RR Powered OnePlus 3T
Thank you so much! Will flash and report back any issues!
This couldn't be any better, thank you! ...have been the best kernel for my hammerhead (still enjoy my N5)
Sound & Video playback: So Kernel Is running smooth, however there is no sound & YouTube or any video the frame rates are very very slow, guessing a driver issue, on Stock 3.5.4 and flashed back before installing this Kernel, obviously this is important to have Functional sound & video.....

Just tested myself, indeed YouTube is slow and choppy/laggy and no sound.
Edit: Phone is actually making a popping noise even after closing all apps.
Edit: Tried clearing Dalvik / ART Cache & Cache, problems still present. Hopefully they'll fix soon.
Good!!!

By chance, can anyone provide stock kernel for 3.5.4? I wanna try flashing this but needing to flash whole OOS package again to revert is painful. Having a collection of stock kernels would help a lot on productivity.

Why not just take a nandroid backup and flash that? You can use adb pull/push commands to store them on a computer if space is an issue, or put them on a usb drive/hard drive via an otg cable.

@flar2 do you intend to create a hybrid kernel that works on the op3 and op3t in the future or will you keep them as two separate projects? Glad to see you here!

No, that would be a mess. They are two different devices from the kernel's perspective.

3. Format /data,
4. Flash kernel (tried with and without multidisabler),
5. Reboot system.
Can't get past Samsung logo.

Unfortunately this solution doesn't work. I'm definitely not flashing newbie, I tried every possible combination including the one you provided but I'm still stuck on Samsung logo.
I don't normally use XDA, but I just wanted to create an account to point out I had the same issues as well. Couldn't boot past the Samsung logo, the device was constantly stuck in a bootloop. I've since given up and reverted back to stock.
No SIM Card detected on S10e
Hi,
I've installed TWRP and the then kernel. The initial bootup was stuck at the Samsung logo. Subsequent bootups work fine.
After installing Magisk Manager, I could install AdAway and enable it. Also Titanium Backup detects 'root'. So far, so good.
Good job. Thanks !
But, my SIM card is not detected. SIM Card Manager says 'No SIM Card'. I tried reinserting it, but that did not help.
Any help / hints are appreciated.
Can't connect to 5G Wifi on beyondrom and magisk is throwing a sqlite error so nothing is detecting root

and i say that again. first of all for flash the kernel my twrp is needed. second thing the disabler in my download link of twrp is needed to be used since the multidisabler by ian creates only problems on s10 etc with custom kernel and @ambasadii can confirm that too. ians multidisabler = bootloop on custom kernels

Have you tried any kernel manager to adjust the GPU speed?(Ofc you need to be rooted)I haven't tried this kernel i will do soon but since the dev says 675mhz is added should be there but maybe not supported from all devices
also 675-mhz is used mainly to the 855+ snapdragon devices

Because i love ElementalX i am posting this @flar2 , don't think i want to troll or similar:
Your previous thread had been closed because you advertised your paid app. I just want to avoid this happening again now that you opened a thread in the development section
Keep up the great work and maybe edit your OP to post a quick tutorial how to flash the kernel without EX Kernel Manager
Thnx for making a thread Flar! Did you looked into overclocking possibilities (about the other day?)
Anyway, I'm rocking your Kernel since release (couple days ago) and battery backup, responsiveness and smoothness is awesome! :highfive:

You can flash the Kernel in TWRP and you don't have to flash Magisk afterwards to keep root.

Thnx for making a thread Flar! Did you looked into overclocking possibilities (about the other day?)
Anyway, I'm rocking your Kernel since release (couple days ago) and battery backup, responsiveness and smoothness is awesome! :highfive:

I know that, but it should be included in the OP to explain to newbies

@flar2 latest version works flawless on 10.5.6 OTA
Fantastic be installing as soon as I get to grips with this ?.
@flar2 thnx for the V1.01 Update!
Are there specific changes? Or just upstreamed? :highfive:

No, just the OnePlus changes, which were very minor

Sorry guys, this place used to be fun, but I don't have time for XDA politics anymore. You can still get the kernel in my app.
Hey @flar2 I flashed the elementalX latest (1.01) with the latest PixelExperience rom and i noticed that it breaks the double tap to wake. I tried combinations of both the settings in the rom on/off, in your app on/off, mixture of both on/off, etc... I tried sweep to wake and all were not working. I restored back to stock PE kernel and doubletap2wake is working again. Apart from that it was quite snappy but i had to revert to stock PE kernel as doubletap2wake is important to me and is muscle memory. Cheers for your work

This kernel is made for stock, I can't change things around to work on custom ROMs

Yeah that's cool, was unsure as it wasn't in the first page. Everything else was great. Cheers

Anyone feels the app settings to be best please share
@flar2 latest V1.01 Kernel works flawless with new 10.5.8 Nord OTA
Thnx for the uodate Flar2, as always:highfive:
I have a question about nord bootloader unlock, im planning on flashing this, but does unlocking will break safetynet? I'm not planning on flashing custom rom as of now and I'm not planning on rooting too, I just want the kernel.

[KERNEL] C20 Kernel for Motorola Z3 Play (beckham) [OC]

C20 KernelHi all!
Here is my custom kernel for the beckham, it is based in the LineageOS SDM660 Kernel, with the fixes from @Jleeblanch
The aim of this project is to have a kernel with overclock capabilities in order to get the Snapdragon 636 more closer to the Snapdragon 660. The rest of the kernel will be remain untouched (or for the most part).
Features:
- CPU Overclocked Big clusger up to 2.45 ghz (default frequency set at 2.2 Ghz) Small cluster up to 1.9 ghz
- GPU model faked to Adreno 512, with this now games loads more optimized drivers aimed for the 512.
- For some reason CPU-Z detects the device as a Snapdragon 660 (I wouldn't call this a feature )
Geekbench results

Go here - https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/beckham/official/
Choose your channel (it's listed in settings), and download the zip. Unpack the archive, find the boot.img file, go to fastboot, then flash it to both slots.
Stoked about this. This phone has not gotte much love and just glad its starting to see something! Hoping to get the latest version of Android on this thing sooner or later.

It usually depends on your device, but I managed to get a stable OC at max Frequency. Regarding bugs, the kernel is 95% similar to the one found in LOS, only things that have changed are the frequency table, GPU model, and some minor tweaks.
I have also made Stock rom compatible kernel with OC capabilities. Tell me guys if you want it as well!
*Update*
C20 Kernel for Stock Rom is available.

Hi! Yes, it can be applied to any LOS 16 and LOS 17 based rom, this applies also to any GSI.

It's a AnyKernel 3 script, so it should mantain your current recovery and root.
You can flash it via TWRP or any tool that supports flashing zips
Does this kernel have the TTL patch compiled in?
Thank you nach0x very much for this Kernel!
I flash the Kernel for Stock ROM about 2 weeks ago and it works perfectly so far. I got almost the same result in Geekbench, but as I notice in this Kernel the default Governor is Performance unlike the one for the LinageOS, where the Governor is Interactive. Does it matter?
And GPU is not changed to 512 on Stock Kernel like you said for LinageOS Kernel
Hi, it's me again. I am surprised that no one else is showing interest in this wonderful kernel tweak.
In a meantime, LineageOS presents the official 18.1 ROM for Moto Z3 Play based on Android 11. I use it for a while with no issues at all, also update it 2 times through the system update.
I try C20 Kernel on this ROM but have some bugs, the SIM cards don't work, and Moto Gestures also.
So, I want to ask if someone can try to make a new OC kernel for LineageOS 18.1, PLEASE! I am not a developer but I'm willing to try it and test its stability.
