G955u w/ SamPWND: Can I disable system terminal logging on boot and shutdown? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi all,
Great work on the SamPWND technique!
I am wondering if there is a way to disable the console text that appears on boot and shutdown? Also can I change the Samsung static splash image that occurs before the qmg boot sequence?
Thanks all!

Custom Boot Splash Screen on Rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 Active

To All,
Following the instructions on one of the threads of this forum, I was able to root my Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. The next thing I would like to do is to change the boot splash screen. Right now, I get the Samsung boot splash screen with the unlocked icon. I have tried some of the techniques used for older Samsung Galaxy S Active devices, such as identifying the param partition and uncompressing it but I haven't been successful during the uncompress process. When attempting to uncompress it, I get an error stating that the tar command cannot understand the file header for the param partition. I have searched the forum and some people have stated that the boot splash screen might be embedded in the kernel although this has only been briefly discussed in other threads not directly related with my question. Also, I didn't see any threads addressing this question, which is the reason I decided to start one. Has anybody tried to modify the boot splash screen for this device after rooting it?
Thanks!

I am seeing the mod from @miniminus does change the bootscreen, but not the very initial splash where displaying the "S7 Active" and the "unlocked" padlock. Perhaps you should root the device first, then look into the system directory?

How to change boot logo?

Anyone know how to change the boot logo for the SM-T800? If it is not possible then why is it not possible?
I found where the boot image is stored. Its the logo.jpg inside /dev/block/mmcblk0p8 .
I tried using this method.
Every time I edit the file and reboot I can no longer boot the tablet and have to reflash it.
The reason I want to change the boot logo is that I get blinded by the white samsung text that appear at boot when using the tablet at night.
My tablet:
Galaxy Tab S (SM-T800)
ROM: [ROM][7.1.2][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 - SM-T800
Recovery: twrp-3.1.1-0-chagallwifi
Bootloader: Marshmallow (T800XXU1CPK2)

Boot delay and other issues with Pie + Magisk

Hi, can you confirm if you have the same issues as me or not?
Situation: Android 9 stock with TWRP and Magisk installed.
1) When any version of Magisk is installed, bootanimation is delayed. It stays on the initial blue&white logo for very long, then shows bootanimation always playing bootsound even if it is disabled in settings.
2) When Magisk 20 and newer is installed, bootlogo shows some long string instead of usual n/a
I get the long Boot times.
But no problems with Magisk. Did you try updating to magisk 20 from 19 inside app, instead of directly installing?
I've seen lots of people having problems directly installing 20.
I tried once more. Installed 19.4 and did not update to avoid bootlogo string. Kept dm verity. Boot was not getting delayed for some time and bootsound didn't play. But after some time both problems started again. Now I tried 20.2 but all 3 problems - bootlogo string, long boot and bootsound. I'll probably give it up as sometimes there are situations, when I really need the phone to boot fast.

Patch Boot.img for V11.0.19.0 (Android 10)

Hi guys.
I'm trying to patch a boot.img from latest version V11.0.19.0 with Magisk 23 but the resulting file does not complete the boot procedure when used with platform.tools.
It starts the booting process but after security pattern it remains with the booting animation forever. I need to restart the phone to access it.
i got the boot.img file from the Fastboot image available here - https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/daisy/stable/V11.0.19.0.QDLMIXM/
Could any of you try to sort this out for me.
Thanks in adavance
Jiute
Problem resolved. It was the Magisk Modules still active. Had to Disable them and then all went smooth.

[MOD] Samsung S10+ Watchdogs CTOS boot screen

While trying out several Watchdogs bootanimations, I realised that no matter what I did, I'm still gonna get Samsung's same old "Powered by Android :droid:" footer anyways. So while experimenting, I was successfully able to hide it with a nicer looking "Powered by CTOS :ctoslogo:" footer. Not sure if this would work on other S10x devices, only tried on my personal S10+ beyond2lte, rooted and running Bananadroid, but should work on AOSP roms, non rooted.
To install:
Just boot into download mode, and flash the tar file in AP slot. Tar file also hides the "unlocked bootloader" message.
As a fellow Watch Dogs player, I approve.
