Your daily driver in terms of ROM and kernel? - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

I just wanted to know which ROM and which kernel you are running on your OnePlus 5T?
I just bought the OnePlus 5T and I'm comparing all available ROMs and kernels right now. At the end, I hope to use LineageOS 15.1 and Franco kernel but for the time being I'm looking for a custom ROM and a custom kernel to get me through the day. Also, I guess I'm preferring Nougat for Xposed just for now as I'm so unsure about LineageOS 15 Unofficial and OmniROM 8.0/8.1 as no official software for Oreo has been made available as of now. I don't know how stable they really are.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys

Running stock 4.7.5 , unlocked+root (Magisk), blu_spark kernel r69
Just got my device 2 days ago, so I'm sticking with stock for a while now.

OOS w/ frankenkernel....I like everything to function correctly so for now sticking with stock rom

Stock rooted 4.7.5, blu,_spark kernel. Keeping up with the development section though so once something is actually stable, maybe I'll switch. To be honest I only want a custom ROM at this point for proper Substratum theming

I've been running OmniROM 8.1 for the past couple weeks. Very stable (never crashed or froze up once) and has great battery life! Stock kernel since there are no stable kernels for the 5T on 8.1.
Magisk v14, Android Pay working great. Themed with Flux and Swift Dark, running Product Sans as my font.

FreedomOS
Using FreedomOS 2.1 [7.1.1] and very happy with it. Used Tool all in one to unlock bootloader and install TWRP. Then installed FreedomOS. Everything went very smoothly. Everything seems to work and battery life is excellent (at least compared to my old Moto X Pure).

Are 6.0 Roms better for performance or 7.0 Roms?

So the T-mobile stock rom is stuck in 4.4 as we all know and I wanted to know if another rom would make it faster or slower? Which would be the best rom for performance and what OS 6.0, 7.0, or 5.0 is generally better. Also, battery life is a concern
Similar concern, how are last builds of cm 13? I know 7.0 is in flux with transition to lineageos. But I'm about to pull the trigger on a used s4 to be my new daily driver. It's the most compact GSM phone with relatively modern specs and good custom ROM support
Any input greatly appreciated
The last build of CM is rather stable and has proved to be the most reliable for daily use. AlaskaLinuxUser seems to be the only remaining active dev for the M919. He recently mentioned that he will continue to support the (currently 7.1.1) AOKP rom, which for the time being is the only actively maintained Android N rom for our obscure variant of the S4. It is rather stable but there are a few quirks. If we are lucky, an official Lineage 14 build will be made available soon. I wouldn't count on it though!

im getting random reboots on aokp, what is the best aosp rom for s4 rn? (nougat or otherwise?)
Same here, I've had several issues with 7.x.x roms and rather dreadful battery life. I would recommend the final build of CM 13 as a stable OS until some milestones are met.

Depends on what your looking for. The best way to find out is try it for yourself. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to roms. If you want simplicity and perhaps stability, stay on LOS. Personally LOS lacks certain customizations I really prefer not to give up. I ran crDroid on my Galaxy S4 and found it to my liking more then other roms. Personally I felt like it had the best kernel development of an Los based roms for that device. Since jumping back to an LG G3 I stuck with crDroid because I find the performance great, stability is great, and it has the feature set I like the most. Plus firebird was the maintainer of crDroid for my S4 variant) That said RR(Resurrection Remix) is amazing as well. For that matter all the major roms are great. You really can't go wrong.

Rom suggestion

Hello. Its been a long since 7.1.2 and i would like to upgrade to a new rom.
Currently using lineage os with exposed.
I would like yo upgrade to oreo
Can anyone suggest a rom with working xposed?
THanks
If you are on los, why don't upgrade to LOS15 ?
LOS 15.1 is a good choice as far as Oreo ROMs go, but you can also jump directly to Pie. Nitrogen OS seems good enough to be a daily driver already.

I would like xposed so Pie is too early for this..
As i said LOS15 is on Oreo, and you are used to it, so you should give it a try.
And i'm also on nitrogen, and stable as f*ck. Don't need mods.
You can use xposed with Magisk. May I ask what do you need xposed for? Magisk can take care of a lot of the features that xposed had.

Best ROM and Kernel for Whyred

Hello. I'm using Pixel Expirience 9.0 with Derp kernel. In this rom battery usage is worse than in MIUI 10. Сan you share your experience?
Use oreo based rom instead
Some people swear by Insignux (might have mispelled) kernel.
reason why people say use 8.1 roms instead of 9 is because of its development. early stages of development for custom roms based on Pie.
I have tried and didnt see a reason to make it as a daily driver so i hop between miui 9 and some 8.1 custom roms.

Rolling back to stock ROM on OP5T

Hi there, I recently flashed a custom rom called "Ressurction Remix" and immediatly I missed the good ol' OxygenOS ROM.
what is the most stable OxygenOS build in terms of battery life that was available for the 5T? looking mostly for android Oreo, but Pie is good too.
I do want to revert back, but only for a stable build (not like Oxygen 10.0.0 that was terrible for battery and performance)
I'm also looking to perform a clean flash for my phone, any help will be appreciated
Thanks for answering
