How to flash twrp recovery on samsung galaxy s4 mini? - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Everyone!
I'm in great trouble so I decided to post my problem here. If it doesn't belong to here please help me where to post and instantly get answers.
I've a beautiful Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini SGH-I257 AT&T smartphone without any issues. It is running on android 4.4.2. As we all know Cynogenmod has end its development and the successor is LineageOS.
From a long time I was searching for at least a lollipop update for my smartphone on-the-air but AT&T didn't release any lollipop update to SGH-I257. When I was searching for the lollipop update, I found LineageOS providing official custom ROM updating my android to 7.0 Nought.
For this I rooted and tried to install TWRP Recovery but it was not successful. When I rebooted into recovery there was a message "Software installed is unauthorised please contact your nearby AT&T Store." and then I came to know it have a locked bootloader but I'm not sure about this. And one thing to mention I flash TWRP Recovery using universal method by installing the app.
Now please help me how I can unlock bootloader if it is locked?
How I can flash TWRP Recovery using any other method?
Thankyou.

[Q] Flash T210 4.4.2 firmware into T2105?

Hi, i bought a Galaxy Tab 3 7" Disney Edition but i don't care about kids stuffs, is it possible to flash it with latest T210 (ITV) firmware 4.4.2 with Odin?
My model is T2105 (ITV) and is still at 4.1.2
Thanks
It might work. Flash a custom (TWRP) recovery to backup the device first, then give it a try. Only problem is, anything could brick the device since there seems to be little to no info.
Some ideas:
Soe ifo on the recovery:
from http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/general/root-sm-t210-r-using-heimdall-t2936061
I used the Pit mapping for the T210. The recovery partition is "mmcblk0p10." I checked the partition info on my T210R using Partition Table by Lakshman. The T210R also has its Recovery partition on "mmcblk0p10," so I expect it to work no problem. And TWRP Odin flashables tend to be compatible with several 7.0 variants.

There do seem to be Odin flashables for the 4.1 software, which should be able to recover the device, but I would obtain one of those first.
If you proceed, please keep us updated so that other users out there can find this information

You can try The Nolekat Rom. It is fest Best Customrom for our Tab.
Sooooo.....
Did it work? Im curious as I got the T2105 tab for my kid and the darn thing is really slow for running Spider- Man Unlimited and some other apps
I want to put Cyanogenmod on it or some other rom with less crap
Ive been after the answer to this as well. I have the 2105 myself, and have TWRP installed and root, but not one single custom rom has worked. They just bootloop. Then you have to ODIN the stock rom. I have the original rom from sammobile, but they only have the factory 4.1.2 roms. Im wondering if a stock rom from the 210r or another Tab3 wifi rom would work.
It seems almost every tab3 from around the globe has been updated to 4.4.2 except this one...ive been checking sammobile everyday, but still no update for the 2105...

Your Bootloop prob is like the same as we have on The other device.
Flash a recovery with The Kitkat KK extension.
Well, actually its not a bootloop...it just reboots to recovery. Ill give a KK recovery a shot. any suggestions on which one would be the best? Or the recovery most likely to work? CWM or TWRP? Anything to get this off JB and onto KitKat...lol.. Apprecitae your help!

Yes, thats bootloop into recovery.
I prefere CWM or PhilzTouch on all my device.
Right on. Ill give those recoveries a shot. I have used CWM in the past (HTC Aria), but ive been using TWRP since i got the Galaxy Nexus. Ill give them both a try and report back in a few days... My internet connection sucks ass, so it takes hours to download a rom...

Its amazing that everyone is posting when they have question but no one cares to post their findings. I (also an owner of Galaxy Tab3 Kids T2105 bought in Australia) was fed up with the old and slow firmware. So, I decided to go ahead and flash a new firmware (T210XXBNI1 4.4.2 UK upgrade for SM-T210). First I tried to upgrade with Odin 3.9 but the process would fail after "Nand Write Start". Then I tried it with Odin ver. 3.07 and the process went smoothly and now I am a proud owner of Samsung Galaxy Tab3 with 4.4.2 Kitkat. It does feel a little bit swifter than the Jellybean. Anyways, so far so good. Will post if encountered any problem !

thanks for report thethakuri... i tried to do this too, but for me it doesnt work ... after i installed the 4.4.2, i had a black screen on boot and my tablet dont charge offline... so, i turned to 4.1.2... can you give me any sugesttion?
Update from me: Just upgraded my US SM-T2105 Kids tablet to the UK KK version as well (T210XXBOA3_T210BTUBOA2_Home.tar.md5). Did not work with Odin 3.11 but worked with 3.07 as mentioned above.
The Tab3 Kids is so far holding up very well with the 4.4.2 Firmware. Much more responsive.
Only issue I have is that it switches on when charging and the screen is not very responsive afterwards. A reboot fixes that.
I came across a post somewhere that there is a new bootloader required to fix that but I can't find the post anymore . If someone has that link please post it here. Thanks !

Did you ever find a fix for the screen issue? I'm going to give this a shot this weekend my daughter really wants pokemon go on her tablet!
Unfortunately I could not find it anymore.
Using ours now just with the new firmware and make it a conscious effort to switch it off after charging it. So far works fine.

New note 3 owner. Please help

Hi guys. I have recently moved up in the world of smartphones lately. I've gone from a ZTE ZMAX, to LG G Stylo, to my beloved Note 3.
OK when I purchased this Note 3, it had already been updated to 5.0. I want to root but can't root this puppy on 5.0 from what I understand. So what I have seen is to download the official 4.4 firmware from sammobile. OK done. Now from doing more research on the Samsung way of doing things, I have seen people say if you took the 4.4 update that there is no going back to 4.3 because the bootloader is updated. Is this going to be an issue with downgrading from 5.0 to 4.4? Is there anything I need other than 4.4 from sammobile and odin? All the guides I've seen say that's it,but being as I can't afford to brick my phone, or have it boot but no radio or something would be a real problem for me. So I need to ask you guys about this. Please assist.
Flash twrp and then flash supersu from twrp.
You sure can root 5.0. Just follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672393

Just made a jump from note 2 to note 4 - Need suggestions

Hello community,
I got a Note 4 N910V and the jump was something incredible. I am in love with the thing.
My note 2 was rooted and had the Resurrection Remix rom. I felt free to customize it since I didn't have to worry about the bootloader or anything but it was really sluggish.
My note 4 came with 5.0.1(stock rom) and skiming through the forums I'm seeing things like 'safely upgrade to MM'. Makes me thing the OTA update ain't working right for everyone.
I'm not getting any OTA updates, could be because I'm not in the US and my phone is unlocked for a local telco.
I have a couple of questions
- Is the MM update fine? Battery, performance, root? how would I update if I'm not getting any OTA updates?
- I know about kingroot but is it recommended as the root option for my OS version. I found this but It's been a long time since I rooted a phone.
- Any popular ROM/Mods? RR was a big thing in the note 2 community (also a couple of custom kernels).
Pics of what I got down below.
Thank you for your time.
I'm using this phone on Bell Mobility in Canada and was unable to get the OTA. I have no intention of rooting this phone yet.
I was able to get the stock 6.0.1 OTA file from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...mware-firmware-kernel-modem-recovery-t2942937
I was able to update using the stock recovery without issue....

Hey man thank you for your answer!
Did you have any problems with the unlocked properties (telco wise, no bootloader) when flashing these things?
I also checked my download mode and doesn't say anything about developer. Seems fine showing up Odin mode so I'm going to assume this is a retail version.

The only way to get an ota is to be on Verizon. Other wise you'll need to download the update and flash with Odin or flash with stock recovery.
The reason for the "safe update to mm" threads are for people who rooted and unlocked the boot loader. You'll need to follow one of those threads if you want root. Nothing wrong with just updating to mm other than you'll have to downgrade to 5.1.1 if you later decide you want root and unlocked boot loader
These phones become really unstable if you just try to root and you lose root once you restart the phone.

YU5510A official thread for Q/A, ROOTING, BOOTLOADER UNLOCKING And guides !

Hello Guys,
I'm Kaustubh Thakur and I got my hands on this device Yureka Plus 5510A variant on 18th November 2016, as of now this phone has been pretty good in comparison to other phones of the same range.
Now our main concern is about bootloader unlocking and rooting the device. PS : We'll cover flashing ROMS and kernels later on.
Problems that I've seen so far :
1. None of the so called toolboxes work on this device (5510A).
2. ADB is able to detect the device, whilst in fastboot the device is detected just for a microsecond/moment and then it is disconnected and is not detected.
3. Command line fastboot is not even working for me/all of us.
4. Rooting/flashing stock ROM is nearly impossible for us, device gets soft bricked(I've seen the threads on YU forums).
5. I need someone to figure this out and so we can get our device's beast out of the cage.
Lastly, I've tried every method of rooting/unlocking bootloader in the past 24 hours and now I'm frustrated in doing so continuously.
Now for the thread's main purpose : Has anyone came up with a solution for unlocking/rooting ?
Is anyone willing to help?
I'll be the tester for the same.
Thanks.
Me too unable to root kitkat rom
Please anybody help in rooting this rom. Also I lost stock Recovery. Can you give me stock recovery of Yureka plus Kitkat
My device is having lollipop with VOLTE.
The new version.
can you give me recovery
My device is still on kitkat. I am thinking of returning it. NO root No update.
That's what I'm thinking too.
I rooted my mobile with kingroot. Only custom recovery needed now.
How about bootloader ?
CyanogenMod11s Recovery & ClockWorkMod Recovery v6.0.5.1 for YUREKA PLUS running on Stock Android KitKat
Downloads:
Cyanogen Recovery: cm-11-UNOFFICIAL-20161115-recovery-tomato.img
ClockWorkMod Recovery: clockworkmod-recovery-v6.0.5.1-tomato.img
I'm on lollipop, dude.
I faced the same issue here. I also mailed Yu customer care regarding this matter. They told me that if i visit my nearest AUTORIZED SERVICE CENTRE they can change the os to cyanogenmod. But when I visit them they simply ignored the fact. This device has great features only can be found on CYANOGEN os.
I agree with that. ^^
There isn't any support for the device so am bound to abandon it.
Thanks

Help! Stuck on Samsung Logo after flashing CF-Auto-Root Nougat rom

So here's the story;
I've gotten my T-mobile S6 Edge (SM-G925T) 5.0.2 - G925TUVU1AOCG
I wanted to update my phone via OTA updates, but I live in the Philippines so I gave up on it. After a while I decided why not root my phone and flash a rom, I've rooted phones in the past so I at least have some experience. I googled "root s6 edge" and I found this guide and blindly followed it.
tomsguide(dot)com/us/samsung-galaxy-s6-guide,review-2856-3.html
I've followed it till the end but I'm still stuck at the Samsung Logo, I want to try flashing a stock firmware but I can't find any, Sammobile doesn't even let me download as a free user.
