Terrible echo while making calls - Sprint LG G5 Questions & Answers

my wife's g5 has a terrible echo that pretty much all callers hear themselves. doesnt matter if its a call from a landline or cell phone, the caller hears themselve echo about a second after speaking... my wife does not hear the echo... anyway, is there a known issue or way to solve it? phone restarts, prl, profile updates havent done anything. Next step is to try a factory reset... oddly enough my sister in law has a g5 on sprint and does not have the issue. the g5 is running the latest stock OTA (7.0 forgot build number but it has december security updates)

echo when using phone

ihave a sprint touchpro 2 and seem to have a problem that i have not come across with anybidy else yet. Whenever I am on the phone, whether its talking to another cell phone on any network, or a landline phone, the person i am talking to hears an echo of their own voice. its like the speaker is too loud and is picking up theother persons voice through the microphone. if i mute my end, the echo does stop, but then they cannot hear me talk. And it does not matter if i use speakerphone or not, it happens either way, Has this happened to anybody else,is this a software or hardware problem? thanks in advance

Call Quality Issue

Anyone else here having hissing/crackling in the background on calls with people?
I have checked settings, I'm not roaming, and the phone is stock out of the box.
With the speaker up to highest and 2nd highest setting I can hear hissing and crackling on several calls. People on the other end say they can hear themselves echoing as well.
If you are unrooted or on a stock rom I suggest trying out what this thread says in the first post.

[Q] Verizon LG G3 Phone call volume issues

Has anyone with the verizon lg g3 experienced problems with phone volume and clarity during calls? When I use speakerphone, there is a bad echoing on the other person's end. When using normal phone speaker, the person on the other end sounds very quiet and sometimes hard to hear. Have tried disabling/enabling the phone privacy option, as well as the voice enhancement option. Phone is rooted so deciding if this is a problem worth unrooting for and getting an exchange (14 day period window ends wednesday the 13th) or if this a common issue a software update could fix. Input appreciated!
I also have had several reports of echo when on speakerphone? Has anyone else had this problem? I've flashed several roms....
I have the same issue - lg3 rooted and on cm13. People tell me they have a hard time hearing me (a lot of echo), and in most sessions volume is too low for me to hear them (in my car, especially). Doesn't appear to be a solution to this...

had this issue. speaker phone basically echos no matter what for me. i have to decrease the volume so the other person doesn't hear me 8 times. friend of mine had a quite microphone issue. Returned the phone to fix it. but if all that's happening is you not being able to hear them. you can use lg volume booster to change the stock volume for calls. actual apps is on the playstore (Volume Booster LG G3 (Root)

[Q] hear receiving phone's speaker

We both have samsung galaxy s4 with t mobile, latest update. When Calling the other person, you can hear the receiving phone speaker. I'll hear their ringtone if they're volume is up. I'll hear whatever noise is in the room with their cell phone when calling. Even their voice. I've tested and it happens both ways. it's been going on for 6 months now. Just weird to have it happen to two phones. I've already done a factory reset. Any ideas?
So what's wrong, that's how phones work, you hear them and they hear you. ???
Pp.
that was dumb. why would I say I tested it. More detail for anyone else who thinks like pancho: it's like the mic is activated without answering the phone. Imagine calling someone and they don't answer, but you can hear everything the mic picks up. you'll hear their custom ringtone or whatever sound is near their phone mic.
This is how the question should have gone. :
When I place a call, before the person answers the phone I can hear the phones ringer tone and all ambient sounds near and around the phone or person I'm calling before they answer, what could cause this?
Humm, ............... your phone is possessed. You need an exorcist.
Edit : This may also occur if the person your calling is sitting next to you.

[Q] Inaudible sound when receiving calls

GF recently did the ota rogers update on her i747m, since then (or close to that time, aka last week) she cannot hear the person calling her, there is sounds but its incredibly choppy.
What I have done and what I know:
When she makes the call, sound quality is perfect
I flashed her phone with slimkat in hopes of fixing the issue, no dice
When I call her with Hangouts, the quality is fine
Tried doing a reset, no dice
It really seems like a software side issue (dialer), has anyone got a clue as to what I should do?
Thanks
