[Q - Solved ] Error while flashing Moto Defy: internal error while programming phone

Hi dears
this is my first thread please help
I already flash and updated my Moto Defy to 2.2.2 with RSD lite 4.9 but i got problem with android market, that not work and I could not find a solution.
Then I try to factory reset but also not work , so I decide to back to 2.1 I install this ROM http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...SAJORDANRTGB_P035_A011_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf.gz
after flashing was completed my phone do not show any thing, no boot loader and recover work, just show white light over screen.
I'm try to flash again with different ROMs but RSD show error " internal error while programming phone " what does mean? is it bricked? or battery is low? any way to back or solve? should I bring to Motorola branch to fix it? I'm worry please help me.
Did you originally upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.2 using RSD Lite. If so then you have lost downgradeability and cannot go back to 2.1.
A blank screen with the LED is a classic sign of this - don't worry I don't think the phone is bricked. Does RSD Lite still see your phone? If so then try and flash the 2.2.2 rom again and get the phone working again, then deal with the market problem.
Hopefully you have not flashed a Rom with a version 2.3 cos then you can't get back to 2.2.
Thank you for giving me some hope.
I was originally upgrade before 2.2.2, but my last upgrade was UK 2.2.2

Problem Solved.
OK! I solve my problem.
I would like to explain what did …. After charging the phone battery to I try to flash my phone again but no hope! I had same error before I got “ internal error while programming phone ”.
So I decide to find other way to flash, because RSD Lite not work for this issue.
I find out that can flash my Moto Defy trough Linux ” Ubuntu “, I run CD version of Ubuntu 10.04 and flow tutorial using sbf_flash app.
sbf_flash Download: blog.opticaldelusion.org/2011/02/sbfflash-updates.html

Very interesting that you got it back to life using linux instead of rsd lite. Not long ago I had a problem where I couldn't get the phone back to life using rsd and took it to Motorola who charged me for a new motherboard but I wonder if your method may have worked, guess I'll never know. But good to know for next time, thanks for posting your solution.
aren't there any other methods to solve this problem with RSD lite? i've got the same problem. THX
EDIT: solved mine too after flashing JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_179-002_DEBLUR_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTCEE_P016_A016_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf.gz under RSD lite and after JORDN_U3_97.21.51.sbf

[Q] I lost my DEFY. Can u help me ?

Hi all.
I have a DEFY and I had a CyanogenMod7.1 installed on it.
After a decision, I decided to return the original version of the device (2.2).
After spending. "Sbf" with the original version of the phone just did not care anymore.
I try to follow the steps in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853674 but in step 7, I can not turn the phone into bootloader.
If I connect the device from your computer it identifies the phone to RSD Lite and even let me upgrade. During the upgrade, is written on the phone: "SW Update In progress .." normally. However, after finishing the RSD Lite, it is usually (as PASS and FINISHED) but the phone will not turn on, or in bootloader.
Is there anything else I can do to try to recover the phone?
Regards.

You are stuck in bootloop since you didn't do a clean wipe before flashing the SBF.
Press and hold Vol- and Power button. When you get to the android with yellow exclamation mark, press Vol- and Vol+ simultaneously and then wipe data/cache.
Done!
If I was getting a dime every time I have given this solution, I'd be driving a Ferrari by now

Do this and you'll "find" your phone again.
Thanks for the reply.
More unfortunately, it did not work. Yet nothing shows up (the phone will not turn).
Any other thoughts?
Try wiping cache and data from the stock recovery

Charge your battery... in another Defy. Don't try the McGyver method or you may toast your battery or even phone.
try finding those cheap clip wall chargers to charge your battery, your bettery may have lost its charge

Okay .. in my work, some people have the Defy also can do that. Charge the battery and try turning on the method you're talking about? (Vol - + Power Button)?
The impression I have is that lost bootloop or any area .... It would be like losing the MBR on a hard drive ....
I'll try tomorrow and tell you if it work! Anyway, thanks to everyone who answered
have you tried to call the cops?
sorry, i just can't hold myself....
I tried, but even I can do it
@ Auris 1.6 vvt-i
I charged the battery in another phone (not used any method McGyver) ... When it was fully charged, put and repeat the process (Vol - + Power) and also did not call. I took a battery from a friend (in case my be damaged) and also did not call. Not with Vol - + Power + + or with Power Vol ....
Any other suggestions?

Try like this:
download froyo cee official rom
flash it TWICE with rsd
each time WAIT about 5 min
when says phone reboot.
I tried what you said, but also did not work. Now the time that I plug the phone into the computer, the access LED is white. The impression of, you need to update the bootloader ... is how to do this? Or update the "sbf" theoretically, would have done it?

Ok, sorry for not understanding the whole world, but I also tried z3x, but it wasn´t sucesful. Can you please describe how to work with z3x in that 3.3.4. points?
Thank you very much
The main reason for telling you to google it is because I also don't know. My phone was unbranded.
On that forum there were more people asking questions, and those questions may help you.
I found that information from google also
I don't even know what z3x is...
So guys, no idea how to unlock it by yourself?

Trying to find stock firmware for KD-0234 HU

I have a Pumpkin KD-0234 and I've been trying to correct an odd issue for some time but I'm not really getting anywhere with Pumpkin's support. It all started in January when my google play services crashed. Did a bit of digging, found out which service it was and force stopped it. All was good until a few weeks ago when out of the blue my wifi would not connect to any network and I now have limited bluetooth connectivity. BT actually connects fine but not all functions work. For instance, when I'm playing music on my phone I can play\pause through my HU but FF and REW have no effect. My OB2 reader connects fine but torque cannot read anything from it.
All other functions are fine and I am certain it is all software related and so tried a factory restore only to find that it doesn't actually do a RESTORE (ie a full wipe and reset from scratch) but instead just wipes user settings and data. Many of the factory settings and element changes (ie LED colour setting) remained as I set them.
So, in contacting Pumpkin they did send me an update.zip file which did update my version but it still isn't a full factory reset that I'm looking for. Now...in trying to get the image.zip file they finally tell me that don't have it and can't help and they believe this is a main board problem. I'm not buying that answer and want to see what a full wipe and reinstall of the OS will do. But I can't do that without the image.zip file.
So...does anyone know where I can get the image.zip file or another way I can perform a full factory restore for my HU?
