Change quick settings tile amount - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Hi, anyone know how to change the amount of quick settings that can be seen? On my Galaxy S8 I used an adb command which would change the amount of quick settings in portrait mode. For example, currently I have 4 columns and 3 rows, but I'd like 4 rows (so all my toggles are on one page). Running Oreo beta

You can do this using these apps:
Substratum
Andromeda (if not rooted)
Substweaks for substratum
Ozone for substratum
Or use JOneplus Tools, again this needs root.

Thanks for replying.
I meant to say the full toggles and not just the quick ones, is that possible with the methods mentioned?

Trying to remove some status bar icons.

I recently installed the community build 3.5.3, and it's cool so far. However, there are a lot of status bar icons that I can't even change, unlike the stock OOS. I'm trying to disable the DnD icon and the headset icon. Any help??
Thanks!!!

I'm assuming you should be able to do it with GravityBox Xposed module (if Xposed works that is, I never used CE versions).

I only use N Navbar and Lock Clean, cause I like the rest to be stock Oreo.

Arise sound systems is my favorite.
Also for themes, I use Swift Dark
Custom kernels are also a nice modification for Android devices.

Better battery life or performance depending on your needs. Optimizations and bug fixes.
My Pixel is pretty stable and runs very well, but I may take a look at ElementalX. Thanks for the info!
my mods;
substratum:
- swift black theme (solid black good for amoled display)
- clean lock
- navbar
magisk:
- busybox (need my standard Linux commabdline tools
- doze for GMS module (saves battery)
- VoEnabler (my carrier supports this and my plan allows for no extra fees... but it's not enabled by default. lol)
elementalX kernel (with some additional features tweaks).
AFwall (firewall)
Adaway (adblocking app)
ApexLauncher Pro (customizable launcher with gestures)
custom navigation bar (app - change navbar layout)
systemui tuner (app - emmersive mode QuickTile, alter number of quicktikes, etc)
Noise Messenger (Signal messenger fork).
and a few other bells and whistles...
Where's the voenabler
Pixel 2 portrait mode camera tweak. ?
For me:
-Magisk
-Audio Modification Library (for viper)
-Busybox
-Doze for GMS
-Google Product Sans
-iOS 11.1 emoji

EDIT: I'm the one that made this thread and put it as Oreo/pixel... I'm dumb...

No problem ahaha
In this thread, there is an adb command at half page with bold "pro-tip", you just have to do it one single time in adb to get rid of padding. For me, because pixel 1 doesn't have rounded corners I found this command very useful.

Substratum for Oreo Discussion thread & Share

Since most of the themers are leaving HTC, I thought it would be wise to create a Substratum forum for to share Ideas themes since most of it in Oreo is themable under substratum,
I am currently using Tilt theme from HTC Themes in combination of Substratum AOSPUI dark theme sharing some scrennshots

Battery was something I wondered about too. Using Substratum w Swift Dark...no battery hit at all.
The best thing about substratum is you get rid of the god awful white settings, HTC themes don't do that well none I found did.
The aospUI is the one I use myself too, it came up as a freebie not sure if it still is

Probably most of us go the root way for substratum that is the reason why probably no body hasn't answer your question, andromeda is only for a non rooted device or non rooted implementation of substratum

With Andromeda, you need to run one of the scripts from the OP of this thread on your desktop any time you want to modify the Substratum theme on your phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/substratum/andromeda-desktop-clients-release-notes-t3668682
OR if you are rooted and still running Andromeda,
you can run the script from this thread in a terminal emulator on your phone, which is kinda nice

Only possibility to theme HTC dialer is using HTC theme engine. You could e.g. build your own dark HTC theme and combine it with a Substratum theme, to obtain dark dialer and dark statusbar as well as settings menu.
Sent from my HTC U11 using XDA Labs
I use Shadow man theme with Spectrum substratum theme. Cygnus Dark icons. Nova launcher.

Same here. Email to Swift Dev, they said works ok on stock rom and they don't have Htc U11 phone so...basically is what it is. In Lee Rom he's using workaround APM and it works great w/o problem with Swift.
Actually I am on Leedroid rom v3.1.0

Fix for QS wide padding

Hey everyone, I wanted to ask whether there's a way to fix quick settings wide padding on OB11. Ozone doesn't work on OB11, so that isn't an option.
Any help would be appreciated!

Changing status bar icons?

Hi,
just asking myself if it's possible to change the style of the status bar icons? They look like the ones that I had under Kitkat on my LG G2 300 years ago...
I'm actually fine with OneUI but the status icons seem like an anachronism.
Thx in advance.

You can use substratum (with synergy) [paid]
And use the mod called (samsung status bar mods)
Or you can just use whole themes.
Or you can use hex installer [paid]
Its again a full theme

Thx. At least I know now that I've to use paid apps. It's not a problem so far. Do they work WITHOUT root? This is actually my first phone since 2011 that I didn't root the first day.

@therealroyston2 I went for Synergy. It worked after some tries (I wasn't reading carefully enough) with 'Statusbar Icon Mod for Samsung' and a Substratum I bought for my S5 years ago 'Swift Black Substratum'... Perhaps this info for someone else is helpful .
