Pulldown menu icons gone - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

I don't know what happened. I know the icons were all there just couple hours ago, now they just disappeared. (see attached photo)
The latest factory image was flashed fresh last night.
I've never run into to this issue before.
Any ideas what's going on here?
Thanks

Looks like you are running a theme?
Try disabling all the overlays and reboot
Use the new which support oreo and quick settings tiles cannot be colored in oreo for eg battery tile etc

Wanam Xposed works!!

Yes!! hundreds of mods work with Wanam Xposed (root required)
install xposed framwork found HERE
open the app then install the framwork
install Wanam Xposed found HERE
then enabe the module in Xposed
make your changes in Wanam Xposed
reboot and see the magic!
Here is a cool link with more info about all the exposed modules and which phone each one may work on.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327541
edit:
Things i've changed so far:
Notification panel: remove AP/PM, clock centered, enable circle battery, hide alarm clock, quick settings tiles changed to 6, hide indicator bars, remove gaps between tiles, disable airplane toggle popup, hide wifi notification, hide carrier label,
Lockscreen: Hide carrier label. hide full battery notification, turn on screen when unplugging( i guess this one doesn't work)
Sound: Disabe loud volum warning, disable boot sound
System: Enable 4 way reboot menu (i'm not sure what that does, maybe nothing for me)
Theme: I've changed nearly everything here, mostly i like the transparent dropdown and change the battery color
Security hacks: Fake system status to official
I've also changed many hidden settings with the app "Note 2 Hidden Settings" found HERE
In that app i've changed: extend speed dials to 100, add exit menu to browser, always request desktop site, add toggle for camera shutter sound
Member P2o8wer reports: "I tried to change the rotation of the screen in system in wanam and it caused a soft brick."

Someone else reported that Wanam soft bricked their device.
Edit: It seems like an isolated incident.

In the "how to root thread", it's worked fine for me though.

I've noticed the turn on screen when unplugging or plugging doesn't work. My device still toggles on when I plug it in. Also the SMS screen off options enable does nothing

Anyone know how to change brightness slider color?

I've changed everything on the status bar to white and I enabled the no security exchange. The only issue is everything I open exchange it force closes then I can open it again. I'm going to disable that one and use a script someone else posted to remove security.

Has anyone lost the ability to "edit" the multi window bar / list with apps (either remove or add)?
I cannot add or remove apps on my multi-window bar - just noticed this this morning. Everything else functions with MW tho...
**Issue Solved**

Navbar

I'm rooted running a custom rom. I've noticed on some apps and buzz launcher my navbar height nearly doubles. Does anyone know of a fix? Would changing density help?
It looks like the launcher isn't optimized for 2:1 displays, just like some apps. There's only hope and wait for an update or to switch to other apps and launcher.

Also for anyone using swift dark when i receive a notification i can't see app name as colour is too dark. I can see messages on notification shade but not the app name and person sending. Is there a way to pick the text color etc

Yep, it's pretty common. Usually the fix is to delete the overlay, then compile, and apply it again. Then again, other times you just have to wait until the Dev updates the theme. It's really uncanny how Google seems to update an app, so the theme doesn't work, a day or 2 after the theme has been updated! Coincidence or conspiracy!?? ??

[SOLVED] How to shrink statusbar header and volume HUD?

There is so much wasted space in these sections of the UI making them look so awfully Ugly. Is there a way to shrink them back to the way they were in nougat?. I'm on OB 10 if that changes anything

There are several substratum themes which do the the fixing of notification header and setting header.
Ozone, Linear,...
I prefer Linear for now.

Scroll down, find system UI overlay, in that select fix QS padding, build and install overlay, reboot, enable overlay.
I suggest you to enable other overlays too including Android system, settings,...
Again linear theme's padding is better with newer version of Oxygen OS.

I bought linear, applied it. Yet nothing seems to have changed. Is it to do with the theme or something. I'm using star wars theme

You have to select dark theme in setting, but even otherwise it has to change. You are doing something wrong in applying process. Be detailed in explaining what you are doing.
Below is the result after applying Linear.

Odd. I'm stock and don't have it.
Do you have a special theme on? I notice your navigation buttons are Oreo style instead of Pie.

No special theme
On the Flash kernel.
Magisk with vanced YouTube and viper.
Its not there directly after boot, and skinnier when no other notifications are present. I think it's tasker or something similar that I tried to suppress.
Solved: it was my network speed app
Glad you figured it out

I'm on Pie. My navigation bar looks the same. No special theme.
I forgot that the regular buttons still has the filled triangle instead of the open one with the gesture controls.
