Really good 2X telephoto zoom portrait lens for Google Pixel 2 - Google Pixel 2 Accessories

I didnt expect much from this lens but it turns out it is really really good. You can use the Moment case with this lens and its much much better than the moment telephoto lens.

I bought the Moment tele and I reget it. I don't know how everyone gives them 5 stars in Amazon. The wide lens is PERFECT! but the Tele sucks......

The moment Tele lens was the worst $100 I ever spent. Its a pointless piece of junk. This 70 dollar lens is perfect.

Actually, I found them pretty useful for portraits. They're not cheap, but they're not junk as well. I have all 4 lens. Great fun.

I have the wide and the tele, wide rocks and tele sucks.. The only useable part is just the center...

These big lenses cover flash/microphone? how does that work out? tele might not need flash, but what about wide?

I took a closer look and I know what you are talking about. When I take portrait photos, the face is clear and sharp, the background is blurred. But for panoramas, it's too much vignette and blur in the corners. Someone mentioned that on Amazon, that this lens doesn't work good with Pixel 2.

Yes, flash is covered.. You cannot use it.. also you loose the laser AF.. (It still focus but it is slower),anyway with ANY lens (Not only Moment) that would happen..

Yes my friend, with the Tele you get vignette and blur in the corners.. One solution (partial) is to zoom around 1,5x and you remove the worse part of the frame.. Also when using video, it doesnt look that bad because the phone zooms in to reduce the frame to enable stabilization...
PD: I was the one that gave the bad review at Amazon

Haha, nice one about the review. I returned mine today. For $100 I want it to be flawless like the rest of their lens.

Picture/Camera Problem

I'm finding that I generally have to edit all my pictures after taking them. The white balance is always off meaning that whites appear yellow or pink. Anyone else seeing this? I've ensured my camera settings are reset to default but it doesn't help.

i too am not happy with the camera performance .... in my opinion pictures are not sharp enough and a bit 'foggy'.
I had a Nokia 5800, with a 3.2Mp Carl Zeiss camera was much much better!

Nothing to do with any of these though. The reason why they are "foggy" is cos HTC deemed it ok to compromise quality for speed. Which is how they manage to do the really quick burst shots. I use a 3rd party camera app for my photos to bypass this.
My HTC one X it's camera it's too bad.. it's like with 2 Megapixel... poor resolution..

thanks for the tip, but the One X is sealed ... and I do not think that it is a cover issue. I compared my photos with those found online as demo pictures and pics look the same. Dont take me wrong, the pictures are good, but for a high end phone I expected much better. My previous cheap Nokia has a much better camera. And if you compare the One X with the Lumia, there is no comparison.
no i dont mean the phone back cover that is sealed with the phone but the cover that u might have bought as an accessories to ur phone... coz my cover really messed up my flash and caused all the pictures to be really foggy..
i am not using any covers
then clean your lens with alcohol & fiber cloth
Some research has shown its just the stock camera app causing the problem. Also given that you can edit the pics to fix the colour issues, it's definitely to do with the Sense camera rather than something like lense dirt.

do you suggest a good app?
At this moment no. I only happened to test with another camera app I have on my phone. I will start looking into other camera apps.

the OneX has one of the best PHONE camera and software out there, i don't understand what's the problem for those few pissed off....
check the pictures thread and look what's it capable of and then think about replacing your phone.

Samsung have the better camera if only because they've made a business of making cameras. Nokia have always had fantastic cameras. This was meant to be HTCs entry into that world but pink/yellow tints are ****ing that up.

Outside, in daylight, One X camera is superb! But using indoors, and especially when not using flash and with Night Mode ( while camera performs very good) every picture is heavily yellow based. And EXTREMELY saturated.
In photoshop, auto white balance and a -25 to -30% desaturate usually fixes the problem.
I am not saying that the camera is crap, but for a high end phone I expected much much more in terms of camera. I do not know how to describe it but the photos taken with the HOX seems to have something missing.
This site has some good photo comparisons and when you open the photos in full size, the difference is very evident especially with the iphone.

[defect]bright line in the upper part of the screen

hi guys,
my new d855 has a evident bright line in the upper part of the screen, this defect is more evident grey and green screen (like in app as tepephone and recorder).
I thinks the line is because of screen's led
someone else noticed that defect?

Selfie quality

You're beautiful and everyone knows it. That's why you take selfies. Rate this thread to express how the front-facing camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 performs. A higher rating indicates that the front camera produces fantastic results consistently.

And before complaining, I'm assuming you've turned on the big "remove lens distortion" option, correct?
Just posted about this in another thread. Arm stretched out, the pics look great. But up close it's the most distorted and disturbing image ever. HORRIBLE implementation by Samsung.

Its called Shape Correction. Well at least that's what it is called on my Sprint variant.
worst selfie camera ever with the distortion, lack of sharpness, and terrible quality
shape correction is off by default on Sprint version
I broke the camera when I took a selfie No seriously, stop taking selfies, look in a mirror
My camera is broken. It makes me look too good.
Not a sharp/crisp image at all. No idea what the auto focus is looking at but it's not me. I tried turning off HDR, all the effects, etc and just never could get anything NEAR as clean as what my 6P produces with great consistency.
Check out this side by side. The difference is staggering. 6P is not as bright but way too much post processing being done.

Reddish tint through photos, soft edges and oversharpening

Has anyone else experienced these problems with the camera?
My wife is a tattoo artist so relies heavily on her camera for portfolio building. We just upgraded to the redmi note 8 pro but all her photos of her tattoos have a massive reddish tint through the skin tones (almost like the white balance is way off). Also the edges of the photos are really soft so the centre of the picture is sharp (too sharp, like digitally sharp) but the edges are blurry. To all intents and purposes this is a massive step down from her 3 year old galaxy s7. We bought this phone thinking it had a good camera. Is this a software issue, is there a better camera app we could be using or should I just throw it into the nearest river?
Heres a picture showing what I mean taken in 64MP mode (and compressed to upload)

The 64 MP camera uses a Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor and you know Samsung is known for slight oversaturating. Hence, the slightly unreal results. Hope that explains.

Sport mode and low light portrait is awefull.

I dont understand what samsung did with sport mode. Any little movement on subject( kids, babys, cats, dogs move) and pictures are blurry. I remember that old samsung samsung phone was able to capture good moving pictures. My wife jump and i cut her in air. Now with mighty note 10 + camera every picture i shoot in movement is blurry. The 12 mp camera 5 years perfect camera is a joke compare to huawei p30 pro or other phone with bigger senzor.
Also low light portrait result are blurry and disapointed result. In low light or indoor live focus cant be used. Samsung need to improve drastically at this points. Pro mode did not solve that eather no matter what settings i used. I dont understand why they remove sport mode. Any good tips how to capture moving object with note 10+. Dont get me wrong. The camera is best in good light but verry disapointed at shown points.

Main reason my wife sold her s10 plus and bought a Pixel. Strictly for the camera.
I am so glad that I am not the only one with this complaint with 10+. My grandson takes a step..blurry. If he moves his head blurry

Hey man, I feel you there. This annoyed me as well at some point, so I got the Mate 30 Pro instead. It is unacceptable to try and take 10 photos of moving people, and all come out blurry.
You could go into settings and then ad motion to the photo then extract what you want from it
