Looking for someone to port into note 8 camera app features from s4 and s7 more specific I want to get remote view finder added and the live broadcast option added inside samsung camera app i have very limited knowledge of this process however I would be able to test modded app. What are your thoughts on this is it possible ?

Most of those features require and or depend on hardware that the Note 2 lacks (different sensors etc) . Samsung has said that it will bring any non-hardware dependant S4 software to the S3 and above.

The Samsung S5 has an option on the camera to perform a 'virtual tour'-taking a series of pictures, pasting them together and create a video as if one where walking through the location.
Does anyone know of an app. that may do the same thing if not a port of that ability for the M8?

There is a way to change build.prop (or any others tweaks) to transform a TABS into S5 ?
I need only the key manage amount of memory for video (imo, but not sure!)
I bought a 360 camera, it works fine with S5 but with TABS is impossible download and see 360 video.
I changed these voice taken from S5 build.prop:
ro.product.model
ro.build.product=
ro.product.device
and add these to build.prop
media.aac_51_output_enabled
media.stagefright.enable-aac
media... (all voice begin with media taken from S5)
But ..... is still impossible download from camera 360 video, software ( LG 360 cam) say there is a problem with device compatibility.
Anyway is possible to download and see 360 pictures.
Maybe problem is on memory manage? If you want i can post S5 and TABS build.prop for comparing!!!

HI - I have a Pixel XL and like a lot about the phone, but I LOVE the photo app for the Galaxy S7 or Note 5. Is there any way to load the Samsung Photo apk on a pixel? If so, any tips are appreciated.

I wish we could, I have been trying to. The problem is, Google use to primarily function as the developer that produces software to operate on all of the devices running Android, so if you had a Samsung phone you could install any application for the most part off the play store or published by Google. We are now however in uncharted waters where users now own a Google device and are looking to run software from another manufacturer. Unlike Google Samsung doesn't give there software away for free as open source, they sell their software as part of the package in buying one of their devices.
It's a bad situation since Samsung built their photo gallery from Google's com.android.gallery.3d, but than stopped developing the app all together once they decided to merge their Google photos app with the standard device gallery. It was at that point that Samsung developed the app further, adding all the features such as playing video with the devices screen off, advanced tile viewing above 3 photos per line ect, ect.

is there any change to get the Stock Samsung Android App as a APK to install on a Samsung A40?
Unfortunately they reduced the Camera App on this device.
how they reduced it ? what are the differences ?
For example on the A40 you can only use the bokeh (live focus) - effect, when the camera detects a face. for no reason.
on the a50 you can use this effect on anything you focused on.
Guess it's just another little way to artificially reduce the functions. Same as the missing always on display.

I understand your concern mate but there's currently no way to use camera app from other samsung devices. Samsung releases it's own version of apk for specific devices or else blocks the function if the device is different. I wanted to use Night mode present on S10 on my A50, though the build numbers are same, the app doesn't get installed & when it does, it crashes.
You might need root or someone needs to make an universal port of Samsung's apk.

I wonder if the reason is the lack of depth camera (A50 has it, A40 does not). The algorithm can detect a face and blur stuff around it. But it has no way of knowing the limits of other objects without depth data.
