Neither sim receiving signal when in dual sim mode only - wileyfox swift 2x - Wileyfox Swift

Hi,
Just picked up a Wileyfox swift 2x and am having an issue using it in dual sim mode.
When a single sim is enabled it works just fine but if the second sim is enabled I lose reception for both sims, once I disable one of the sims the other sim then receives reception as normal. Have looked on the forums but cannot see any other users having the same issue so don't know how to progress this.
Have used these sims in a dual sim phone previously without any issue so its clearly a handset rather than an operator issue.
Any help appreciated!

Is this a suggestion to post in this forum or is there a thread related to this in this forum?
I have seen the thread related to Dual Sim and the lack of 2G fallback, but that is not related to my issue as both SIMs have previously been used in other dual SIM phones.

That is the forum for your device,Wileyfox Swift 2. Here is a forum for Wileyfox Swift only.

Operating frequency
Hi,
I had a similar problem to this in NZ recently (on Swift model). It happened to me a my phone was not compatible with many frequencies of one of the sim cards I had in. Switched the sim to a more compatible network and now both Sims are behaving well.

Thanks for your input.
I ended up returning the phone to Amazon and the replacement phone worked just fine so the issue was obviously limited to that particular phone.

Dual sim problem.
I had similar problem. I used ga giffgaff sim and a Three sim (Hutchinson), but three switched off 2g in my area. TFor calls it was fine, but enabling data caused problems. In the end I removed the three sim.

So far none of the small or big brand mobile companies made a dual sim mobile that supports 3G on both sims. One must be W+G and other must be G only. This is to save the battery life of the mobiles and also to prevent the 3G signal interferences (read somewhere online). So until the big brand flagship mobiles comes up with altogether a different technology that has no signal interference effects, you have to live with 2 different sim radios. Even if we move few years into the future, the primary sim of a dual sim mobile will support 4G and the other one will support only 3G or 2G for the same signal/radio interference purposes.
Hope this answers your question. Hit thanks button if this clarification deserves it.

I had Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 before buying the HTC, after Samsung recent update both SIM slots now supports 3G. This helps in situation when the internet data on one of the SIM is exhausted and you still have on the other SIM. Rather than swapping SIMS you will just change the first SIM from 3G to 2G, then enable data and 3G on the second SIM card.

Some phones indeed support 3G on both Sims, but like said these are the more expensive phones e.g. HTC One (M7) Dual SIM

This disproves the theory of interference said by someone else online. Thanks for letting us know about the 3G availability on both sims. I desperately need such phone for the same reasons you quoted and probably hunt for that model. But having said that how was the battery life though as HTC desire 816 has a great standby life.

Thanks dude, I was so far living in the impression that it cannot be possible due to radio interference and battery life reasons I read somewhere online.

[Q] Data from both sim cards?

I am in search of a dual sim phone, and I consider the zenfone 2 a good candidate.
However, it is vital to me that the phone can support a data connection from both sim cards.
Obviously not at the same time, but to switch data connection from one sim card to the other, without having to physically change the sim cards around.
Is this possible on the zenfone 2?

This is possible but sim2 only supports 2g speeds.

Thanks, that's quite a disappointment.
I thought today most other dual sim phones do support 3/4G on both sims?

You will not get data on sim 2 due to Asus blocking it with their firmware. Even though they used an outdated and subpar modem for sim 2, it is still capable of data. Their Zenfone Selfie does contain a dual active dual sim with lte on both sims this their "flagship" phone however used inferior hardware.
Unfortunately this may not be the phone for you in particular if you live in an area such as the U.S. or in Europe where they are shutting down 2G, it's already happening. This "flagship" dual sim phone will soon become a single sim for many of us.
I've actually talked to Asus about this and was told this is their "Flagship" phone and it is "Premium LIKE". I asked what he meant by "Premium Like" and he said it was comparable to other high end phones with compromises made on using lessor hardware. LOL, it's a knock off then, no different than buying "Prada" bags out of someones car trunk. I've had to deal with Asus on a couple of issues with their phone and have to say, I would NEVER buy anything again from them.

ZF2 + Tata Docomo 3G = No Network

Hello
I'm facing a pretty odd issue here. The combination of Tata Docomo + ZenFone 2 ain't just working fine.
When I force the ZenFone to use 3G, I receive no signal. But using the same Tata Docomo SIM in my Honor 6 and Lumia 730 brings full bars of 3G network and it works fine too.
Using a SIM from another operator in Zenfone 2 does bring up 3G network. I tried Idea and Reliance and 3G worked fine on the ZenFone 2.
Now I wonder what's wrong with using Tata Docomo on ZF2. AFAIK, Indian operators are all using the same cellular bands so it shouldn't be an issue of incompatible bands? I've tried with 2 Zenfones and 2 different SIM cards of Tata Docomo, but same happens on both. I've also tried manually selecting the network, but while it does show Docomo in the list, it doesn't connect to it.
Can anybody help in figuring out what exactly is wrong here?
Check your IMEI
I got 2GB 551ml from Flipkart.
No sim was working in sim slot 1.
Upon checking further by dialing *#06# , I found out that SIM1 has 'null' IMEI.
Returned it and got it replaced.

And I have contacted many users. All have the same issue. Some also have issues with operators in other countries. IDK why Asus did this and why they can't fix it still
I'll probably be needed to return my phone and go for some other one

EE Sim - No Data Connection?

Hi,
I purchased a Lenovo P2 from a Three store and set it up using the a Three sim card - everything seemed to be working fine. I've since switched to EE in the UK and cannot get my phones data to work. I've tried multiple APN settings with no joy. Does anyone have this phone working in the UK with an EE sim card?
I'm hoping this isn't an issue with the LTE bands.
Thanks,
Mike
Not strictly an EE aim but I have a plusnet aim in slot 1, runs 3G just fine( it's not a 4G sim).
Can't see any reason why EE should be a problem.
Thanks - kind of what I figured. I've tried the EE sim in a Moto G4 Plus and I'm being told the sim is "Suspended" (Whatever that means). So I'm assuming it's a sim problem rather than a phone problem - will give EE a call later.
Cheers,
Mike
Hope you get it sorted so you can use this beast of a phone.
BT Sim working fine. EE by another name.
I use an EE sim in the primary sim slot without any problems, I'm also using a Three sim in the secondary slot.
All up and running now! Needed a sim reset from EE.
Few teething problems - I find the way doze works on this phone pretty annoying (using Disable Doze atm) and I miss the Moto G4 Plus' slightly more stock Android but the battery life is just fantastic and the screen is lovely. Hoping the Nougat updates will fix some of the issues.

Moto g5 dual sim issues

I recently purchased the Motorola g5 dual-sim to use the dual sims for work/personal accounts. My issue is that the sim 2 slot is designated for the 2g cell network (which is being quickly dumped by most cellular providers).
Is there anyway to upgrade my phone, or did I waste my money?
Thanks.
BTW, I am NOT a programmer....

All you can do is switch the slots. I mean put the sim (important one) in slot 1.
