google camera v4 front camera force close

when I using Google camera 3.2, the functions is working.
after updating Google camera to 4.3 via Google play, I can't use it with front camera.
If I change to front camera, the app force closes.
Anybody know how to use new Google camera normally?

I am on 8.2.10 and I only have v2.5
How did you get v3.2 working?

I am on lineageos,v3.2 working good but front recording.
The video is OK,but when recording the preview is weird.

I'm having the same problem... Works fine in 2.7 .010 then auto updates to 4.3 and FFC crashes the app.

Google camera port with Hdr+ (abandoned)

This is kinda work in progress port of Gcam with hdr+ for arm devices. it's based on google camera version 4.2.035.141213305-arm.
it needs camera api 2 enabled. you can enable it via flashing the zip I've attached or add below line into build.prop.

persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
Stock rom is preferred, but it should work on all roms as long as above requirement is met.

Camera stopped working right on start

Nice! Works here.
But, I got some problems at my first test - Google Camera apk from OP link;
- Back camera resolution: in the app, the res are 12.1 (16:9) mpx, in face of the real 16mpx (4:3)
- Slow mode crashes every time
- Panorama seems don't run as well
Anyway, I feel the focus are, now, amazing! I had a Moto G5 - Cedric in the begginin of 2017. Now, I got the Montana, but, always the same problem: Strange focus. In macro, i mean.

HRD+ works really for the images, but there seems to be a tint when capturing images without HDR

as soon as camera api 2 is enabled Whatsapp, OpenCamera, Moto Kamera report "media format is not supported" at recording video, guess there's a codec missing then.
No mather if stock or linageOS.
Only Footej Camera is able to record video. Anyone else?

Yea I'm not able to record video on the modded apk too, but I can record it using the stock camera,
what rom are you running ?

search in build.prop this line:

camera.hal1.packagelist
put the package name of apps that are not working well with camera2api, like this:

camera.hal1.packagelist=com.whatsapp,com.instagram.android,com.vsco.cam
the listed apps will use the old api

I can't record video with neither gcamera nor stock camera. I already delete the cache and data, but still doesn't work. What can I do?

wanted to know the best camera app to use with cam2api with all the features like portrait mode, slow motion, panaroma etc... Is there any such camera app available bcz all the one i tested had some issues like fc or dark videos .... Pls can anyone suggest?

Try MGC v2e it worked for me when i was on cam2api enabled Nougat rom.

Try this one, it doesn't FC and doesn't have dark videos issue.

In one plus camera app you have to manually set exposure to Max, on slow motion and regular videos to fix dark issue... But 5 seconds after you set it, the exposure goes back to dark I'd you don't keep pressing the screen (manual exposure setting).

This one has dark videos too... On slow motion and regular video record. Manual exposure setting doesn't even work.

Hello, so I saw lots of tweaks with registry edit, but couldn't find anything about 60 fps video recording. Is it possible for example lumia 930 ?

you're not even being serious or??
if so.. my 950XL already shoots 60fps but not more even at very low resolutions.. so if you wouldn't mind sending me a link that mentions the tweak..
but i think you're mocking so if you really were i didn't fall for it.

I used to have 60fps in earlier builds of windows 10 , I'm not sure when it went

Could it be brought back?

Google Camera 6.2 [Bulkin043]

In this camera nearly everything is working.
Not working:
-Front camera with HDR
-Sometimes HDR process can take long time(force stop to fix)
No HDR cameras: (For front camera)
If there is no "no HDR" option, if you press long to capture button it can capture photos.

Use this settings: disable "video stabilisation", enable "store videos efficently", enable "google photos"

Not always. There are times when it fails.

i'm using bulkin043's latest gcams-arnova based and yes, focus problem still persists, even there are 2 settings in those gcams about manual focus/steady focus.
latest pie (10.0.8.0) and 4:3 format, unfortunately half of photos (5 out of 10) were blurry, even i adjusted all settings manually.
gcam modders (bulkin043 or other devs) should have found a solution inside gcam to stabilize that focusing. after all months of developing those gcam mods, the answer is NO, so it means only OTA can fix it permanently. (unfortunately we all know that xiaomi includes security patches only, every month)
