I Not Sure How It Is For Non- Prime Members...
But as a Prime Member you have 30 days to return.
Purchasing from HiHonor U.S.A. , the return period is only 15 days.
So.. If you are not sure if this is the device you want, the Amazon route may be a better choice..

Is this okay to charge your card now & ship the item out to you please?

Yes, ahem, err, got a little over-excited there.
I pre-ordered on 3rd. March, and was told earlier today by phone that stock wouldn't be available until 12th. April, so getting that message today was rather unexpected!
I am assuming it means we'll all be getting our phones very soon as the ROM issue has been sorted. I think it's reasonable to get a little giddy! I'm better now
I can totally understand your excitement, got mine today and all i've done since 4pm is sit and play with it. It really is awsome

Sorry. I'll get me coat.
Exciting news
Hope Clove will ship out soon too...
Says its 439 on there?
Well it doesn't show any stock at prepaymania.co.uk... It takes only PRE-ORDER...

When I was looking earlier this month, I noticed a website quoting the £373.81 price on PrePayMania (which includes VAT and free delivery) , and pre-ordered at that price. It went up to £439 the very next day, so I got in at a very good price. I am U.K. based. I don't know if they will be changing the website, but the above quote is directly copied from the e-mail I received at 5.40p.m. U.K. time. So excited I can't sleep!
Have to say, PrePayMania have been unfailingly polite and courteous, and a pleasure to deal with by e-mail and phone, and sent me an e-mail confirmimg my price even after they'd increeased it on their website. Top marks to them.
Anyone heard from Clove yet? Last I heard they charged my card (Monday) but no update on shipping yet.

You should email them about it. Perhaps they dispatched your order already. I placed my order at Clove on 8 Mar. My card has not been charged yet. But then I also ordered the Legend which is supposed to start shipping tomorrow. So that may have something to do with it.
Device Wire
Hi guys, my first post here. I have ordered from Device Wire, £397 altogether, and my card was charged straight away. They are saying that stock will be in 7th April, their latest update (via twitter) said "There are no UK Desire's available".

how they can charge your card and the shipment is not ready? this shouldnt be the way right?
and clove still say they will get theirs 7th of April (in the website)
I'm still waiting to hear from clove too, though their emails seem to go into my junk mail...
I made the mistake of pre-ordering a second Desire, thinking that my original order was going to be delayed longer than the rest (12th. April rather than 7th) and this order has also been charged to my card ready for delivery tomorrow. In case anyone's interested, it's Handtec who are also getting them in tomorrow, so presumably Clove et al. will be the same. I will be going with my PrePayMania order.

Unfortunately, this is quite common and not illegal. Many companies use Google Checkout or Paypal and they are always charged immediately. If you pay direct by credit card, it is worth checking on the website or with the company whether they only charge the card when stock is in. HTCDirect only charge on despatch, just as an example.
I asked Clove to charge it to my card ASAP (due to the favorable exchange rate) but that was last week. When I read that some had already shipped, I thought maybe mine was on its way.
Ah, I thought it was specific to UK but I was charged by Handtec immediatly. I payed with my credit card. Do you think I should ask them why they charged before having the product in stock ?
Thanks

[Q] Anyone order their XPlay From Expansys?

For $275, it seems too good to pass up. Has anyone received one from them? Are they new in the box, and do they come with any accessories, like how the AT&T version comes with a dock?

Don't bother...I ordered at £191...waited. waited...nothing. As far as I am aware they still haven't shipped. £154 at chitterchatter.co.uk and it arrived earlier than promised with extras and a 16gb card..bargain.

... I got my Xperia play from Argos at £179.99 also with a 16gb memory card. £179.99 is about $280.
Bought mine from Expansys a few months ago, before the massive price drop.
Came within a few days, all boxed with 16gb microsd and all the extra stuff.
Kinda wish I'd have waited since they're now half what I paid, but I wasn't to know
ordered mine from expansys for 230 euro around end of september, and they reported shipping would start at 4th october.
After a bunch of updates it's now officially (praying god) delayed to 15th october.
I'm seriously concerned that i'm gonna receive this phone the next price drop lol
I'm also w8ing now orderet it last week.. just recievd mail from them:
We receive information from our purchaser that they will be some delay for Xperia Play as there is huge demand since the price drop but not sufficient amount of stock made from SE so for the moment we do not know specific ETA for this product.

this is starting to get irritating.
Now on the website i read "shipping november 1"...
1 of november? are they effin joking? It's almost one ENTIRE month of delay from the initial shipping date of 4 of october...
I'm losing my patience. Is there anywhere else i can buy this phone at that price? I'd be more than happy to cancel my order from those idiots

Sandisk 64 gb uhs1 class 10 $ 59

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WTAJTO?ie=UTF8&ref=aw_bottom_links&force-full-site=1
Click the link for new to change suppliers. It's from Amazon. Slight delay. I can wait
I suggest waiting...
May I suggest to you to wait?
Reason I say is I have been watching the 64 gb SD's there for a week and they have already dropped a $10 spot...and that isn't even including the Amazon ones.
I would be willing to bet that in 2-4 weeks (the lead time listed for that %59 choice) that you may just see the price break $50!
This is the advantage I have as I wait for my SIII from Verizon...I have the option to wait for these types of things.
But the opposite result may also be possible. I'm not saying it will but once everyone starts actually receiving their devices here in the US, demand for such items may...may...negate that anticipated result at least in the very, very near term. I've seen a car dock do that recently just on demand generated by just a forum post even as many were buying without their device yet. Just a thought as I could be wrong. Looks like a good deal at least for those of us in the impatient category. moi
Thanks for the link @Muckrak3r!
So far I have missed every sale lately. $60 is what I paid for my sandisk 32gb class 2, so same price for a 64gb class 10 doesn't sound bad. Felt bad not getting the deals and watching the prices of $80-100 and hoping for the next deal. lol
Sigh, anyone notice this? "Usually ships within 2 to 5 weeks. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."
Thanks,

I just went to the final order screen, and with the Free Two-Day shipping through Amazon Prime it has an estimated delivery date of July 25 - August 8. Seems like it ships anywhere from 3-5 weeks.
If you're in the UK, Play has this in stock for £44.39.
Is that one from Play legit?
Has anyone bought that one?
Seems like too good deal

It's from Play themselves, so it is as legit as they come. I've had one on pre-order since it was out of stock for a little while. That was shipped today with free shipping, so will take a couple of days before it arrives probably.

Yeah there is a delivery delay, but the way I see it that gives us several weeks to cancel if a better deal comes across. And in the mean time I can use my Samsung 32gb class 10 card. No biggie.

SDSDQY-064G-A11A is a class 6 64GB, while SDSDQUA-064G-A11A is a class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1) 64GB.
Note the Y changes to UA in model number.
SDSDQY-032G-U46 is a class 6 32GB, while SDSDQUA-032G-U46A is a class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1) 32GB.
Note the Y changes to UA in model number, and the letter A is added. The letter A in this case means Android packaging.
This card is correctly labeled SDSDQUA-064G-U46A, and is class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1.)
UA = class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1.)
A (at the end.) = Android packaging.
If you squint you can read it off the back packaging product image, just above the barcode.

Seems to be the best UK price right now for this card. Amazon UK (itself and vendors) seem to be in the £62+ range for the same card. Play also has another vendor offering the card for around £56 or so.

I ordered last night around 5pm or so CST. Still no charge, they only charge if the item is in-stock and shipping that day or the next. So it could be weeks before the charge hits. Lots of time to cancel. :victory:

Since it's sourced from Amazon themselves, I have no concern about that. If the Class 6 card shows up (I already got one from the Best Buy deal a few weeks back, that's going in my wife's phone) I will just return it and demand a Class 10 card replacement, since that's what I ordered. Amazon is remarkably AWESOME at sorting out issues like that.
It cost approximate USD 64 from hong kong, around this price there is great demand, so many places are out of stock, if you want it in a rush expect to pay higher price for it.
there are two version of the class 10 available, the first batch and batches afterwards, to tell the differences.
first batch on the actual micro sdxc, not package you will see it labelled mobile ultra.
second batch and onwards it is labelled just ultra
The first batch are faster in both read and write speed.

for most 16Gb is enough, just by adding a 32GB which is really cheap, adds up to approximate 29GB, which is enough for most people.

The only downside is it ships within 3 - 5 weeks (Amazon often overstates their shipping time, however). So if you need this in a hurry, this may not be the best choice for you.
Why go with Samsung over PNY? I have use PNY before and was very happy with the card
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with the PNY card. In this case, you can save a little on tax.
Also the Samsung for $30 is an everyday price on Amazon vs. "one day only" for the PN at best buy.
And earlier today, the Samsung was listed at $27 and in was in stock. Plus, looking at this thread, I see people post positive experience with their Samsung cards. I don't see a lot of PNY (if any) on that thread.
And as you can see in my signature, I don't personally use Samsung card because I use Sandisk
In for 1. Will pick it up on the way home. Amazon prices available locally should be considered a deal.
I bought this on day 1, although it took a week to ship lol The card actually works really good. It transfers pretty fast and havent had any issues with it.

Release of SW2 in US?

According to Sony, it's not officially released in US yet. So where do you guys buying it from? I see it's being sold on Amazon (US) but is that an official Sony US retailer? Others mention eBay and someone mentioned a store in the mall (DC I think?), etc. I understand Amazon merchants could be from UK or in general outside of US, the same with ebay. So, are there any official US stores that sell it? And for those who bought it in US, where you able to contact Sony support (in US) to answer your questions?

Sony.com has both models in stock now for $199.99/$219.99. I just placed my order. There appears to be a glitch right now that allows you to get the 3 year replacement/accidental damage plan for free! Add the watch to the cart, but do not select a warranty plan. Edit the warranty plan within the card and for some reason the 3-year plan is $0. I used Chrome, if that matters....

MobileFun is bad news. I ordered from them and wasn't even given a confirmation email. Very poor communication and their US phone number just rings. I had to get my credit card company involved to cancel my order. They said it was in stock when I ordered (Oct 15th) and wouldn't give me any further information on shipment or backorder status.
