ZTE Axon 7 Mini Review - Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 - 3GB RAM - 5.2 inch FullHD - Device Reviews and Information

ZTE Axon 7 Mini
Build quality & display
When it comes to size, the Mini is only slightly smaller than the Axon 7. In fact, the size difference is hard to notice unless you actually put both phones side by side. The Mini measures 5.8 by 2.8 by 0.3 inches and weighs 5.4 ounces, making it just a bit smaller and lighter than the Axon 7 (6.0 by 3.0 by 0.3 inches, 6.2 ounces), but not nearly as small as the more genuinely miniaturized Sony Xperia X.
The phone hasn't undergone any major changes in design, either. You get the same metal unibody build available in gray or gold, the same gentlyback, and the same button and port placement. a volume rocker and power button on the right side, a USB-C charging port on the bottom, a 3.5mm audio jack up top, and a SIM/microSD card slot on the left (which worked with a 256GB card). The back is home to a responsive fingerprint scanner set below the camera sensor.
The Axon 7 Mini's 1,920-by-1,080, 5.2-inch AMOLED display is smaller, and less sharp, than the 5.5-inch Quad HD panel on its larger sibling. It has 423 pixels per inch, compared with 538ppi on the Axon 7. That said, many other phones in this size range like the 5-inch Google Pixel, and the 5.5-inch Moto G4 also have 1080p panels. The Mini benefits from rich colors, great viewing angles, and a maximum brightness that's easy to see outdoors.
Performance
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. It's a midrange chipset, nowhere near as powerful as the Snapdragon 820 you get the larger device. There's also less RAM, 3GB instead of 4GB. Unsurprisingly, this results in significantly lower benchmark results. The Mini scores 46,859 on AnTuTu, which measures overall system performance, which is a lot lower than the Axon 7's 141,989. It's on par with other midrange phones like the Snapdragon 617-powered G4 (46,260) and the Snapdragon 430-powered X2 (43,984).
That said, performance is still fairly smooth. While we encountered some stuttering when running lots of apps in the background, it wasn't any worse than you'll encounter on most midrange phones. A software update pushed out during testing seems to reduce many instances of sluggishness. The phone also handles games like Asphalt 8 and GTA: San Andreas without any difficulty.
Camera quality
Camera performance on the Mini's 16-megapixel rear sensor is solid, but it isn't particularly noteworthy. The phone takes good shots outdoors under brightly lit conditions, but compared with the 20-megapixel sensor on the Axon 7, it doesn't capture as much detail. In a shootout with the Axon 7 (in default Auto HDR mode), we noticed more instances of noise, a slower autofocus, slower shutter speeds, and notably worse low-light performance. The 8-megapixel front sensor is and still takes good selfies and video.

Leaked News:
OUKITEL starts a new device: U7 Plus with fingerprint scanner
From the beginning of July, OUKITEL has gradually leaked that they are working on several new smartphones. We already know something about K7000 and U13 Pro, now there comes another new smartphone, the U7 Plus.
As an upgrading version of the U7 Pro, this one follows the design of it predecessor that is similar to the iPhone 6 but moves the fingerprint sensor, that works also as physical home button, to the back cover. U7 Plus will get the latest 360-degree fingerprint sensor which allows unlock screen quickly while the screen is off as well as providing extra data protection.
U7 Plus will feature a 5.5 inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass and a unibody poly-carbonated battery cover. It offers 16.7 million sharp and bright colors for photos and videos. Inside the device, it carries the latest Mediatek MT6737 Quad-core chipset with 1.3GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM and built-in storage of 16GB ROM. It is getting 3 slots with two for SIM cards which supports 4G and one for 32GB expandable memory TF card.
What’s more, U7 Plus adds a notification LED for phone calls and notifications as well as charging which didn’t appear on U7 Pro. It is between the PGL (Proximity, Gravity, and Light) sensor and receiver. According to reliable resources, U7 Plus will start presale at the end of July with a competitive wallet-friendly price.
OUKITEL U7 Plus is getting its first hands-on video that shows its design and appearance.
From the video we can see that the OUKITEL U7 Plus is designed to be a pretty elegant device. It is a 5.5 inch device with 2.5D curved screen. Similar to the iPhone, the top and bottom part of the front are wider than normal 5.5 inches devices but the frame inside the screen is narrowed to 0.1mm.
On the upper part of the device, there is a 5MP front camera, the receiver, a notification LED and PGL sensor. The power and volume keys are designed to be on different side of the frame; Earphones Jack on top and Microphone, Speaker and USB port on the bottom.
U7 Plus is coated with a whole piece of piano lacquer painted plastic cover. Piano lacquer painted cover is showing a feeling of metal luster and not easy to lose varnish (let's say pseudo-metal). The 13MP camera is on the top left with the LED flash below it. The fingerprint scanner is located at the top, convenient for index finger to press (because it also works as a key).
It also indicated in the video that the U7 Plus will get 3 colors, space grey, rose gold and champagne gold.
OUKITEL U7 Plus Full Specifications unveiled with retail price and much more
OUKITEL has just unveiled the final full specifications for the U7 Plus. As an updated version of the U7 Pro, U7 Plus adds much higher level hardware for it.
Design
Same as U7 Pro, the U7 Plus features a curved 5.5-inch display and whole piece of poly-carbonated plastic uni-body. The difference is that U7 Pro got champagne gold, space gray and white colors, while U7 Plus will be available with Champagne Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold colors.
The rear camera is located on the top left of the back which is the same as on U7 Pro but adds a fingerprint scanner at the middle 1/4 top back.
As regards the size, its dimensions are*157.6 x 78.4 x 9.15 mm, which is not extremely thin for a phone sporting a 2500mAh battery but the removable battery cover requires more space.
The battery cover is removable, so OUKITEL designed the SIM trays inside the device, not on the side of the device. It supports Dual SIM cards and an extra Micro-SD card. There is a physical power button on the right and volume buttons on the left. A 3.5mm headphone jack is located at the top of the phone, while the 5-pins micro USB port is located on the bottom, together with the loudspeaker.
Specifications (full on first post)
OUKITEL U7 Plus features a curved 5.5 inch HD display, 5 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear camera. The rear camera has an F2.0 aperture and features noticeable additions such as “V” gesture detection, HDR mode, face beauty mode and panorama exporter.
Things are different as regards the used CPU and the amount of RAM/ROM for U7 Pro and U7 Plus. The U7 Plus has a MediaTek MT6737 chipset and 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM while U7 Pro had MediaTek MT6580 chipset and 1GB RAM with 8GB ROM.
Network support for U7 Plus is better too: 4G Bands 1/3/7/8/20, 3G bands: WCDMA Bands 900/2100, 2G GSM Bands: 850/900/1800/1900, while U7 Pro only supported 2G/3G.
Fingerprint
As rumored, except for unlock device and lock APPs, U7 Plus fingerprint scanner has other two addition features.
1 - you can link a specified finger to one app
2 - the fingerprint scanner can be used to take photo and receive phone calls, but this needs to be confirmed.
High-res images here: http://imgur.com/a/P5ICH
As OUKITEL U7 Plus is officially online, more details about it emerge. U7 Plus is getting a similar design as the iPhone 6s plus, but move the fingerprint sensor to the back and put menu, home and back button on the front. The fingerprint sensor is based on the latest tech, offering same unlock speed like iPhone 6s.
U7 Plus features the same ROM capacity as the iPhone 6s plus, both with 2GB RAM, but the U7 Plus will not have any 64GB and 128GB version. As almost every Mediatek device, the U7 Plus offers smart gestures to unlock device to a targeted APP, while iPhone doesn't have this feature.
For camera, we can see from the video that the U7 Plus takes sharper and clearer photos than the iPhone 6s plus. However, for the download speed, U7 Plus is a totally win over the iPhone 6s plus. When U7 Plus already finished downloading and install an application, iPhone 6s plus is still 5% downloading. U7 Plus will be sold only at $89.99 for retail (Official Price), which is nearly 9 times cheaper than the iPhone 6s Plus.
Detailed Information can be found by the link: http://www.oukitel.com/products/u/u7-plus-52.html
According to the project progress, OUKITEL U7 Plus will start delivery before end of this month.
As OUKITEL U7 Plus pre-sale starts, they finally decided which software to use and stepped into the testing process. It will bring some new features for its fingerprint sensor.
Previously for OUKITEL android devices such as the K6000 Pro, the fingerprint sensor is used to unlock the whole device from the black screen, lock and unlock APPs, now another 3 different thing is coming for the fingerprint.
- First, it will divide the usage for unlock screen and lock application. In the old fingerprint usage, if you don't use the fingerprint as the unlock way for screen, your settings for lock and unlock application is also closed. But in the new version, even if you use password or pattern as screen unlock method, you can set fingerprint unlock for your applications. This is a good way to protect your personal information. If your family member wants to use your phone, you can give it to him, but use your fingerprint to lock your important conversation app.
- Second, it adds some new functions for the fingerprint sensor. You can tap the fingerprint to take a photo, to answer a phone call, to change to next photo in your album page, to pause music and start music again, and to pause/start a video again.
- Third, it allows you to link a fingerprint to specified fingerprint. U7 Plus allows you to link 5 fingerprints to it, previously, all the fingerprint are same function to unlock screen and applications, now it can open an application directly. For example, you enrolled your right index finger and choose to link to Facebook, then in black screen, when you tap fingerprint by index finger, you will go to the Facebook app directly.

all those new fingerprint actions are very useful , especially the 3rd one saves so much time
In this video, the U7 Plus and their next, unknown yet, new model C4 were inserted in a watermelon, and then dropped from 12 meters high building.

Lol
Is there someone who has already pre-ordered the device?
Nowadays, we are more and more relying on our smartphone cameras to take photos, not only for our daily life sharing, but also for business, travelling, etc...
To take better photos, the camera photos quality is a quite important factor when we choose devices. Mostly we will judge by camera's megapixels and the reviewer's taken photos.
However, for mobile cameras, even though the same pixels camera, the photos quality can be quite different. If we only see one device, we won't feel any difference, but, once you compare the same scene together, you will know that the quality on different devices is quite different.
Here is a video showing the photos taken by 3 devices with similar price and same camera's megapixels.
They are the OUKITEL U7 Plus, Bluboo Maya, and Homtom HT17 Pro. All with 13MP rear camera, but the photos, videos, and selfies are quite different.
Which one you prefer?
Introduction
This is the OUKITEL U7 Plus.
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6737 SOC clocked at 1.25GHz, a new CPU from Mediatek that is basically an MT6735 with a new Modem that supports VoLTE, together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. It features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with basic accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Warranty Certificate and the Smartphone (of course). No TPU Cover or Screen Protector, but as always a screen protector is already applied.
The device has an Unibody Plastic Chassis, pretty solid and it provides a great grip with curved edges. We all might have preferred a Metal Chassis, but this is removable and makes the device much lighter.
It is 16.00x7.83x0.94cm, considering that this is a 5.5 inches device it isn't compact at all. I had to use my old-Meter to measure the device because my caliper supports maximum 15.3cm. It weights 197g, maybe a bit too much for a Plastic Device.
On the front side there is the usual 2.5D Curved Display, with small bezels. The upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors, and the rare Notification LED. Finally a device that has it, well done OUKITEL! This is something so rare to find nowadays. On the lower front side there is only the Soft Keys area, with Menu, Home and Back touch buttons.
On the back side there is the Unibody Plastic Chassis, removable and solid.
The upper rear side of the device features the Camera Sensor supported by a single rounded Flashlight, and the compact, rounded, Fingerprint Scanner. OUKITEL design makes all rounded. The lower rear side of the device features just the brand logo, because the Speaker is positioned near the Micro-USB port.
Device
Screen
The screen is pretty good, without any issue as regards grayscale, color reproduction and so on, just a bit warm.
Light Sensor supports smooth light changes, this is its maximum brightness. Maybe it should have been a bit higher for a 5.5 inches screen.
Viewing Angles are not as good as i would have expected. Compared to other OUKITEL devices, this doesn't offer the same viewing experience.
Camera
Rear Camera is pretty good, photos quality doesn't have major noise issues, even on low-light conditions. Daylight photos are detailed and sharp.
Flashlight is powerful enough, sufficient to improve low-light photos but do not expect superb light. (do not compare it with Dual-LED configs)
As regards Video Recording, 1080p videos (Video Quality – Fine) are recorded with an decent level of details, just remember that there is no OIS so you can’t expect stable videos.
Front Camera records decent photos, and it seems to be a wide-angle variant. Selfie-lovers will appreciate it.
Audio
Speaker is loud enough, a bit distorted it seems but nothing serious.
Unlike most other devices, it is positioned near the Micro-USB port, so even if you place it on your desk or anywhere else, you won’t have to worry about it. A nice add-on.
As regards the Microphone, it works decently well in any case (in-call, VOIP, etc...).
The Audio Department has been accurately enough designed, i am a bit bored to see devices with speakers on the back, so this is something that i always appreciate on any device.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
Also 3G Signal Reception is accurate, even though some 3G frequencies are missing, maybe my engineering sample will get other frequencies with an update, who knows.
4G Network Speed is pretty good, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good. While 3G Network Speed, is just fine as it should.
WiFi 5GHz isn't supported here, so only 2.4GHz WiFi speed can be tested. I managed to get connected to my network connection at 65mbps, and Speed Tests reached more or less 41mbps.
Battery Life
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and it seems that the real battery capacity matches the declared one. (declared 2500mAh, real ~2550mAh).
Check this Geekbench Battery Test, good battery life for just 2500mAh of Battery Capacity.
https://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/386758
As regards battery charging times, the 5V/1A charger is enough for a normal charging runtime, but you can't expect super-fast times.
Software
OUKITEL choose to use, as they always do, an almost completely clean Android 6.0 release and it works pretty good, but with some performance issues. I'll talk more about performance in the next paragraph.
Just like other last-gen Mediatek Devices, there are some typical features such as Gestures, Scheduled Power On/Off, etc…
Notification LED settings are pretty simple, the color isn't customizable but still better than nothing.
As regards the Fingerprint Scanner management, it is pretty easy to configure, pretty fast unlock times with just some minor issues with its accuracy.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, PCMark (Work & Storage) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance isn't superb, lower than MT6737, maybe the software isn't ready enough. I hope to see some improvements here.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is decent, not superb, but more than enough for basic tasks. At least it guarentees no lags while saving photos or such.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, 3D performance is medium. Not as good as MT6735, but sufficient.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (4x Cortex-A53), enough to handle almost every type of activity.
GFXBench – As already said, GPU performance is lower than MT6735 so it clearly confirms that the software isn't ready yet.
PCMark – As you can see, only the Writing score is a bit lower than others.
Work
Storage
Vellamo – Nothing to say about this benchmark, seems to be decent for the CPU.
Just like i said for the OUKITEL C4, it is clearly noticeable that this device needs some software improvements as regards performance. Every OUKITEL device i have tried have been updated constantly, so an OTA update to fix this performance issue might be near to release.
Conclusions
5.5 inches devices are becoming more and more common nowadays, and this makes no exception. It has a good screen, great design and solid build quality. If OUKITEL manages to fix this Performance issues that seems to be present on all MT6737 devices i am trying, including their latest OUKITEL C4, then this can be definitely considered as the cheapest, and most complete, 5.5 inches device.
So, do I recommend it? Yes, unless you manage to find something better at the same price.
Pros:
Accurate Screen
Notification LED
Good Quality Camera
Fingerprint Sensor
Decent Battery Life
Nice Unibody Design
Cons:
Software needs some performance improvements
No Compass/Magnetometer
A Dual-LED Flashlight might have been better
Not so compact as other 5.5 inches devices

What is the procedure to root it?
Does it support SDXC of 64Gb?
Great review - thank you!
Did you test the GPS Fix?
I've heard that MT6737 is very slow and unstable.
Thank you.
I have bought this phone yesterday on GB, hope i won't get disapointed, but just for 65€ for the specs it's hilarious! The Reason i bought this model apart from the other MTK67537 is the beauty and the Led notification that hope i can customize it has i want, having 2GB ram while others only have 1GB, but i thought that it would be thinner 9.4mm it's already a bit bold not comparable with iphone, but who cares for this price.
@Napfgeist
I saw on youtube a review in spanish about this phone and it works very well the GPS.

According to new updates on OUKITEL official website, OUKITEL is starting a new device OUKITEL U15 Pro with 3GB RAM and 32GB RAM.
The upcoming OUKITEL U15 Pro is not the first device that packs 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, but it is definitely unique.
It is designed to be a 5.5 inch super thin device with curved-side edges, just like the OUKITEL K7000. U15 Pro includes a 5.5 inch SHARP display running at resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, a MediaTek MTK6753 Octa-core 1.3GHz chipset with Samsung 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage with 128GB expandable flash memory.
It also gets a fingerprint sensor which allows 0.1s screen unlock and a 3000mAh SCUD built-in Li-polymer battery. In the detailed images, U15 Pro will equip with a 16MP primary sensor on the back. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The OUKITEL U15 Pro specs are already listed on OUKITEL official website: http://www.oukitel.com/products/u/u15-pro-55.html
OUKITEL U15 Pro is aimed to hit a competitive price with a good features ratio. They decided to make it among the world's most cost-effective Octa-Core smartphones.
U15 Pro gets a metal body with capacitive keys and arc glass design. It features a 5.5 inch HD LCD display by the brand SHARP. It is powered by MediaTek MTK6753 chipset (Octa-Core 1.3GHz ARM Cortex-A53 CPU with ARM Mali-T720 MP3 GPU). For better multi-tasking, it has been combined with 3GB of RAM, 32GB ROM and 128GB maximum expandable storage. (does it mean exFAT support?)
The fingerprint sensor on the back also gets additional functions other than providing security unlocking devices, just like almost all latest devices featuring it. It works also as a shutter button to take photos and as a switch to browse between photos while in gallery. It also works as a button to answer phone calls, play/stop playing music and videos.
On the back there is a 13MP camera, together with a 2MP front camera, but both cameras are interpolated to 16MP and 5MP.
To make it thin, it features a 3000mAh SCUD built-in Li-polymer battery which should be enough for one day use.
Also, it supports 2G, 3G and 4G networks, along with GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio and a/b/g/n WiFi. For almost-worldwide FDD LTE, it gets bands 1/3/7/8/20 support. More details for OUKITEL U15 Pro can be found on OUKITEL official website.
Presale for U15 Pro already started and normal delivery for will start at the end of October.
U15 Pro is designed to be 8.7mm as regards the thickness, while there will be another new device named as U15s that will be thinner than U15 Pro, only 7.1mm for the thickness and will have higher specs than U15 Pro too. It will be still Octa-Core, but running on MT6750 chipset. A dedicated thread for the U15s will be opened soon.

As the K10000S with 10000mAh battery is still in the project phase, OUKITEL still works on other devices. A good news is that their latest Octa-Core smartphone U15 Pro is about to start delivery within this week. Now OUKITEL U15 Pro is getting its first hands on video.
OUKITEL U15 Pro is a 5.5 inch HD smartphone with original SHARP from Japan. The battery is not as big as K10000S, but still gets 3000mAh battery for one day use. The battery is supplied by SCUD, which are 100% tested before shipment to ensure safety. It also features ergonomic design for the back to fit human hand perfectly. On the back it gets a fingerprint sensor, allowing fast unlock and private protection.
For the hardware, it carries MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core 1.3GHz chipset, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, 16MP primary camera and a 5MP front facing camera. It also designed a 3-color notification LED to get alerts for new messages and notifications. It still runs on Android 6.0 OS.

Plastic, glass, metal. What would you like as a smartphone material considering the touch feel in your hand?
What will it happen to these 3 different smartphones back cover?
Watch the video here, Samurai inside
In this video, these guys try to cut an OUKITEL U15 PRO and other 4 different smartphones with a knife, a Samurai Sword and Samurai Long Sword. Result unbelievable! Also K10000 participated in this video, used to knock the nails.
U15 Pro, together with U15S are both featuring aircraft aluminum metal alloy, making it a strong toughed smartphone.
Not too many manufacturers release Devices with Metal Back Cover because the signal is hard to adjust. OUKITEL managed to do so. To adjust the signal to this tough metal device, the OUKITEL Product Team worked for several months by testing it again and again, and finally they made the well designed U15 Pro and U15S.
OUKITEL U15 Pro is on pre-sale now, delivery starts from the end of this week. Users that have already pre-ordered it might get it soon.

I'll get it soon.
Introduction
This is the OUKITEL U15 Pro.
Hardware
Powered by a Mediatek MT6753 SOC clocked at 1.3GHz, the device might result a bit outdated, but trust me, this is the fastest MT6753 device ever made. You will know why soon. It features 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM and a 13MP Rear Camera, unfortunately interpolated to 16MP. Each built-in hardware is quality-made, made by Samsung, SHARP and SCUD.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with basic accessories, just like all OUKITEL devices: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Warranty Certificate, 1x SIM Card Tray Eject Tool, 1x TPU Cover and the Smartphone (of course). A screen protector is already applied.
This is one of the first Q4 2016 device from OUKITEL made with an Unibody Metal Chassis, and just like all Metal Devices from OUKITEL, it feels super-solid and doesn't have any minor issue. Impressive. Antenna areas, located on the lower & upper parts of the device, are made of Plastic (otherwise the signal would be messed up).
It is 15.30x7.81x0.88cm, slightly larger than other 5.5 inches devices because its bezels are not so small. It weights 204g, considering the Unibody Metal Chassis this is just fine.
On the front side there is the common 2.5D Curved Display and the upper front side of the device features the standard set of things: a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. Is the Notification LED here? Yes, it is. (RGB)
I won't talk about the Notification LED in the Software paragraph because it isn't customizable at all. Here you can see some real-life photos.
On the lower front side there is the Touch Keys area, with Menu, Home and Back touch buttons. Not Backlit.
On the back side there is the Unibody Metal Chassis, nothing to complain about it. Impressive build quality.
The upper rear side of the device features the Camera Sensor supported by a Dual-LED Flashlight (not Dual-Tone), and the compact, rounded, Fingerprint Scanner.
On the lower rear side there is just the OUKITEL logo, the Speaker is positioned on the lower side of the device.
Device
Screen
Compared to other devices, the screen is a bit warmer than usual (just like all SHARP ones, interesting) and there is no MiraVision menu so you can't calibrate it. Color Accuracy is normal, with natural colors.
Light Sensor supports smooth light changes, this is its maximum brightness. One of the brightest 5.5" screens i have ever tried.
Viewing Angles are as good as you would expect from an IPS screen.
Camera
This is the first device i try with an OnSemi AR1337 13MP Sensor, that should feature PDAF and great image quality. Well...i can't say that image quality is great here. It is just average, with great photos only in ultra-high light conditions. I'm pretty sure that this is a software bug, so i hope to see a software update with many improvements. I have already installed the latest OTA update with the "Improve Camera Quality" words in the Changelog, but...it was useless.
"HDR off" on the left and "HDR on" on the right. HDR photos are just brighter, no real HDR.
Photos taken on medium light conditions are pretty noisy.
Macro Photos seems to be great, but as you can see the focus is a bit messed up.
As regards the Flashlight, it is pretty powerful, making my cat looking amazing. (just sleeping, as every cat do...)
As regards Video Recording, 1080p videos are average, a bit noisy though. Again, the software doesn't help here.
Front Camera is a Wide-Angle variant GalaxyCore GC2365, noisy (damn...) and provides a decent level of details enough for nowadays usage.
Audio
Speaker's Quality on this device, unlike previous OUKITEL devices, is much better, a good amount of low-frequencies are here (finally) and the Volume is medium-high. Well Done OUKITEL!
As regards the Microphone, it is super sensitive with no issues as regards its quality. Everyone was able to hear me correctly while in-call.
GPS
Considering that this is a Unibody Metal device, you (and me too) might expect lower GPS quality or accuracy. Well, i do not know how, but OUKITEL managed to find a solution to this drama. GPS Signal is high, even higher indoors (weird), and manages to lock satellites in less than 2 seconds.
Indoors on the left, outdoors on the right.
It seems that other chinese companies should hire OUKITEL engineers in order to get this result on other Full-Metal devices hehe.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
NOTE: If you see "WIND" (Operator Name) on some screenshots, that's my secondary SIM with no Mobile Data, Signal and Speed Tests are made using my Primary SIM Card. This is used only for minor tests.
OUKITEL provides full european bands support, with 4G Band 20 (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it). Unfortunately, even though the 4G signal is high and stable, somehow all speedtests done weren't able to get some nice results. Software Optimization is required.
3G Signal Reception is accurate too, actually I never managed to get connected to the 2G Network of my Mobile Operator because there was always some 3G Signal available. (luckily there are no coverage issues here)
As already said, 4G Network Speed is low, even though it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good, this doesn't mean that it is normal to get 3G Speed on 4G network. This is what happens on this device. 3G Network Speed is even lower.
WiFi 5GHz is supported here, and seems to work pretty well with my 802.11n Dual-Band Connection. It isn't able to get full speed (100/20), but it is still a bit higher than 2.4GHz speed. Connected to 54MBps, because it seems that the 5GHz antenna isn't pretty powerful.
Battery Life
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and it seems that the real battery capacity is much higher than the declared one. (declared 3000mAh, real ~3200mAh). All OUKITEL devices had (and still have) this nice extra-power.
This is the Geekbench Battery Test, the battery runtime is probably a bit low for a 3000mAh battery, but the Battery Score is higher than average so, it may be improved with future OTA updates.
https://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/391236
As regards battery charging times, the 5V/1A charger isn't pretty good to handle 3000mAh batteries so expect more than 2 hours of Charging Time.
Software
As always, all OUKITEL devices features an almost completely clean Android 6.0 release providing a buttery smooth experience in almost all menus and apps, similar to Nexus/Pixel devices, even though there is some Mediatek stuff here.
Just like other last-gen Mediatek Devices, there are some typical features such as Gestures, Scheduled Power On/Off, etc…
Unfortunately, just like on ALL OUKITEL devices, there is no Compass/Magnetometer neither Gyroscope sensors. I have already gave to OUKITEL the advice to add at least the Compass Sensor on future devices, let's hope that they will hear it.
As already said before, even though there is a Notification LED, it isn't customizable at all.
The Fingerprint Scanner can be initialized as easy as on all Android 6.0 devices, and its accuracy is decent, not as perfect as was on the K7000, i might say 7/10. It is lightning fast though.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 4, GFXBench, PCMark (Work 2.0, Computer Vision, Storage & Work 1.0) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance is highest than most MT6753, thanks to the HD-only screen.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is superb, comparable with high-end devices.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – 3D performance is great considering the outdated Mali-720MP3 GPU inside.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (4x Cortex-A53), multi-core score is impressive though.
CPU
Compute
GFXBench – Well OpenGL 3.0 benchmarks are pretty intensive, and this is where an outdated GPU lacks power. OpenGL 2.0 tests provide better results though, still better than MT6737 with bugged GPU performance.
PCMark – Standard MT6753 Performance here, with some extra performance.
Work 2.0
Computer Vision
Storage
Work 1.0
Vellamo – Unlike previous tests, there are no major performance gains compared to other MT6753 devices.
I have reviewed many MT6753 devices, and i have to admit that this is the only one (together with the UHANS S1, but it wasn't as fast as this one regarding eMMC performance) that managed to impress me. The UI is super smooth, there are no lags at all while scrolling pages (even heavy webpages), and it is still able to provide some nice horsepower to handle 3D games with no major lags even though everything is powered by an outdated MT6753 SOC.
Conclusions
It is hard to be disappointed with OUKITEL devices, it happened only one time with the U7 Plus, but it still wasn't a completely disappointment. And...this device is no exception. This is an impressive device, OUKITEL managed to get some extra-juice from the MT6753 SOC with a great result.
Even though the Camera isn't as optimized as i would have expected, everything else is almost excellent, especially considering its price.
So, do I recommend it? Yes, it is hard to find something better for the same price.
Pros:
High Screen Brightness
Fast Fingerprint Sensor
Impressive eMMC Internal Storage
Quality-Made Unibody Metal Chassis
WiFi 5GHz Support
RGB Notification LED
Cons:
Noisy Cameras (Rear and Front)
No Compass/Gyroscope Sensors
Missing MiraVision Menu
No Fast Charging Support

LEAGOO M5 Plus Debuts – The New Face of Cheap Smartphones!
LEAGOO, the renowned budget-friendly smartphone manufacturer from the Chinese land, intends to conquer the low-tier category once again with the recent release of M5 younger sibling known as ‘LEAGOO M5 Plus’. Indeed, much have changed or upgraded apart from the addition of the word ‘Plus’.
Design & Appearance
Just like the M5, it has the nano molding technology chassis, made of exclusive metal for a low-tier under that price tag, with a brushed (IML) rear panel. On the front, they kept the soft-keys touch-based buttons.
On the rear, there is fingerprint reader together with the Dual Flash and the Camera at the top center. Similar to what has been leaked about the Huawei Mate 9.
Finally we know which kind of screen protection its being used (on the M5 it was unknown): Gorilla Glass 4 technology with 2.5D arc design. Probably the specs are higher than what to expect from a cheap low-end smartphone, it seems that LEAGOO made it the game changer.
Hardware & Display
The only weak point of this device is the SOC. It is powered by Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737 (running at 1.3GHz) CPU, supported by 2GB of RAM and an ARM Mali-T720 MP2 (running at 520MHz) GPU. This amount of RAM together with this GPU is fine for a low-end device, but it is something becoming really rare nowadays with the increasing Octa-Core trend by Mediatek. This SOC is energy efficient but with that type of hardware the M5 Plus only yields a score of 27,233 points on AnTuTu.
It also offers a storage of 16GB along with the option of expanding it via MicroSD slot. They left the fingerprint sensor on the back, that was working perfectly on the M5.
As regards the screen, it integrates a large IPS 5.5-inch screen with an HD display (1280×720 pixels). Even though it’s not Full-HD, the contrast ratio of 900:1 should make the details and the colors sharp enough on the screen.
Camera & Connectivity
The best upgrade from the M5 is the 13MP rear camera. LEAGOO has kept the sensor as a secret, but it should be a Sony variant, and interpolated from 8MP. On the front there is the typical 5MP shooter.
It features 4G connectivity with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0 with BLE support, Dedicated Hi-Fi Speakers for a good amount of bass and Dual SIM/Dual-Standby support.
OS & Battery
The M5 Plus runs on Android 6.0 based on Freeme OS 6.0, and as regards the battery, it’s removable and replaceable. The 2500mAh capacity seems to be a bit limited, but with a energy efficient processor, those amperes should be more than enough. As the SoC is outdated, there is no fast charging support.
Availability
For Readers who are interested in buying LEAGOO M5 Plus, the terminal will be available in three colors: Champagne Gold, Titanium Grey and Galaxy White.

Review (part 1)
Introduction
This is the LEAGOO M5 Plus.
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6737M SOC clocked at 1.25GHz, a new CPU from Mediatek that is basically an MT6735 with a new Modem that supports VoLTE, together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. It features a 13MP (interpolated) rear camera and a 5MP (interpolated) front camera.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with many accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Warranty Certificate, 1x 3.5mm Headphones (not in-ear), 1x TPU Cover and the Smartphone (of course). A screen protector is already applied.
The device has the same chassis used in the M5 (not Plus), just bigger. It is pretty well-built, feels solid and has some plastic bands for the antenna. Even though the Chassis is made of the metal, this isn't a full-metal device. (no unibody)
It is 15.17x7.64x0.96cm, not extremely compact, with pretty thin bezels. It weights 209g, decent for a device with a metal chassis.
On the front side there is the usual 2.5D Curved Display and the upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. No Notification LED is here.
On the lower front side there is the Touch Keys area, with Menu, Home and Back touch buttons.
On the back side there is the removable back cover, identical to the one found on the M5 (not Plus).
The upper rear side of the device features the Camera Sensor supported by a single rounded Flashlight, and the compact, rounded, Fingerprint Scanner.
On the lower rear side there is just the Speaker Hole.
Device
Screen
The screen is a bit dark, seems to be extremely calibrated to get natural colors (even though there is MiraVision), and the brightness is low.
Light Sensor supports smooth light changes, this is its maximum brightness. Under direct sunlight i had some difficulties.
Viewing Angles are good, just like on all IPS screens, but its low brightness issue makes it a bit darker on the sides.
Camera
Compared to the M5 that had issues with the Camera Software, there are huge improvements on the M5 Plus. Rear Camera takes some great photos with no major noise issues, even on low-light conditions. Daylight photos are detailed and sharp.
"HDR off" on the left and "HDR on" on the right.
Photos taken on medium light conditions are pretty sharp too, i would not have expected such a good camera quality from this device.
Flashlight is powerful enough, sufficient to improve low-light photos but do not expect superb light. (do not compare it with Dual-LED configs)
As regards Video Recording, 720p videos are recorded with a decent level of details, just remember that there is no OIS so you can’t expect stable videos.
Front Camera records noisy pictures and isn't a Wide-Angle variant, sufficient for some occasional usage.
Audio
Just like on the M5, the Speaker is extremely loud. Even if it lacks low frequencies (unfortunately this is a common negative aspect), its sound is pretty good.
As regards the Microphone, it works decently well in any case (in-call, VOIP, etc...), and the earpiece is loud enough to be used in any condition.
GPS
This is probably what has been downgraded compared to the M5 (not Plus), its signal is lower than usual and i wasn't able to use it indoors.
Indoors on the left, outdoors on the right.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
Also 3G Signal Reception is accurate, actually I never managed to get connected to the 2G Network of my Mobile Operator because there was always some 3G Signal available.
4G Network Speed is sufficient, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good. While 3G Network Speed is a bit lower than usual.
WiFi 5GHz is supported here. The first low-cost device with WiFi 5GHz support, even if the signal is low, it is still better than nothing. Well Done LEAGOO!
Battery Life
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and it seems that the real battery capacity is a bit lower than the declared one. (declared 2500mAh, real ~2400mAh).
This is the Geekbench Battery Test, the battery runtime is decent for a 2500mAh battery, even though it is lower than its little brother (M5) but Battery Score is higher, it means that it has been calibrated in a better way.
https://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/390638
As regards battery charging times, the 5V/1A charger is enough for a normal charging runtime, but you can't expect super-fast times.
Software
Just like on the M5, LEAGOO choose to use FreemeOS, a customized version of Android 6.0 that provides some nice features. If you don't like any those features, most of them can be disabled or replaced with third-party launchers such as Nova Launcher.
As already said before, the MT6737M is a newer MT6735 with VoLTE support. Here you can see the Enhanced 4G LTE Mode option.
There is no Gyroscope or Magnetometer, but for a low-cost device this is acceptable.
As regards the Fingerprint Scanner management, it is pretty easy to configure, pretty fast unlock times with almost no issues with its accuracy.
Review (part 2)
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, PCMark (Work 2.0, Computer Vision, Storage & Work 1.0) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance isn't superb, lower than MT6735, i don't know why every MT6737 device has this Graphics Performance issue.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is great for a low-cost device.
CPU
Compute
GFXBench – As already said, GPU performance is lower than MT6735 so it clearly confirms that Mediatek broke something in this SOC.
PCMark – Sufficient Performance, nothing to complain about it.
Work 2.0
Computer Vision
Storage
Work 1.0
Vellamo – Just like other MT6737 devices, you can't expect high scores here.
Well compared to the M5 (not Plus), there are some nice performance improvements, especially as regards the Internal Storage.
Conclusions
Following the M5 design, but not its defects, the M5 Plus is a nice upgrade (except the GPS). Improved Camera together with Improved Performance might make this device one of the best low-cost 5.5" available. Just a little alert, the pre-installed YouTube app can't be updated, LEAGOO has been already informed about it and an OTA update will be released to fix it so don't worry if you try to update it with no luck, just wait a bit until the OTA update gets released.
So, do I recommend it? If you are not able to find something better at the same price, yes.
Pros:
Great Rear Camera
Accurate Fingerprint Sensor
Fast eMMC Internal Storage
Solid Metal Chassis
WiFi 5GHz Support
Cons:
Low Screen Brightness
GPS signal could have been better
Noisy Front Camera
No Notification LED

What's the rear camera field of view like? I was disappointing with the 63 x 49 degree field of view of the M5. I used the "Camera Info" app to get all the info supported by the driver.

I'm not a professional photographer so i don't know how to reply you about your question, but do not trust Camera Information on Mediatek Devices, every single value doesn't match real sensor capabilities.

Review (part 1)
Introduction
This is the UHANS i8.
Hardware
Just like all manufacturers, also UHANS joined the 18:9 party with the new flagship. This is what i would call a "soft-entrance", since it isn't maxed out as regards its specs but neither so banal. It comes with a 5.7" HD+ 18:9 screen, a Mediatek MT6750T chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage.
Unboxing
Finally, UHANS is back with the great accessories bundle, together with a premium looking packaging: 1x Type-C USB Cable, 1x 5V/2A USB Charger, 1x Quick Guide, 1x SIM Card Tray Removal Tool, 1x Type-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack, 1x TPU Case, 1x Glass Screen Protector (yes, it's back!) and the Smartphone (of course). A plastic screen protector is already applied.
The device features a metal chassis that feels really solid, even though the painting isn't perfect to be honest (as you can notice), and it appears to be following the Galaxy S-series design with an almost full-rounded chassis for more grip. Unfortunately they removed the headphone jack though, something that Samsung didn't... :urgh: :urgh:
Something i really appreciate is the placement of Volume Keys. Nowadays most devices feature both power and volume keys on the same side, probably to save costs, and i find the UHANS choice pretty smart.
As regards its size, it is pretty compact thanks to the 18:9 screen, one of the smallest 5.7" inches devices i have ever tried, 15.27x7.17x0.86cm, with a decent weight considering the metal chassis: 209g.
Starting from the front side, there is the today standard 2.5D Glass with the IPS panel underneath, while the upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing, an Earpiece and the Sensors hole that includes Light and Proximity Sensors. A Notification LED is here, but it only supports one color: green.
Here you can see the LED in action.
On the lower front side there isn't anything at all since on-screen navigation keys are used instead of hardware buttons.
The back side features a glossy plastic/glass (not sure about the material) surface with no fancy light effects found on most devices i have reviewed in the past few weeks. This looks elegant and sober imho.
The upper rear side of the device features the Camera Sensor with a Single-LED - Single-Tone Flashlight, and a Fingerprint Scanner just below it. The scanner features a glossy surface just like the whole back panel.
On the lower rear side there is the UHANS logo plus some certification logos, nothing really important. The speaker is located on the lower side of the device.
Device
Screen
Even though UHANS opted for an HD+ only screen, they seem to have choosen an high-quality one. Sure, you can notice some pixels if you place your eye really near to the panel, but that's something required for VR apps only. Color reproduction is really good, and the white balance appears to be decent too.
Nothing to complain about the Light Sensor either, and the screen brightness is excellent, reaching almost ~450lux. No issues at all while using it outdoors under direct sunlight.
Viewing Angles are as good as you would expect from an high-quality IPS panel.
Camera
Just like 99% of chinese devices released in the past few months, also this one features a Sony IMX135 (13MP) camera sensor for the Rear Camera. There must be a big clearance in China for this sensor considering the amount of devices featuring it...
Photos Quality is OK, decent quality considering the hardware. The noise level isn't high and colors look realistic enough. Probably the best results ever obtained with this sensor, excluding HDR photos.
Luckily the Flashlight is still powerful enough even though it is a Single-LED only variant. There is no weird tint caused by the light, neither reflections on the lens.
Videos are recorded at 1080p30 with an overall stable frame-rate and acceptable quality, not the best neither the worst.
Featuring an unknown Sony IMX190 (8MP? no datasheet available online) for the Front Camera, the device seem to struggle a bit with the noise level. It might be a software issue. Can't recommend it for selfies/portraits.
Audio
The speaker used for this device is pretty powerful and provides a minor amount of low frequencies at maximum volume, but a minor distortion is noticeable. In-call Quality is just fine, and the earpiece is loud but lacks low frequencies completely.
Something that is perfect, even though there is no second microphone for noise suppression, is the main microphone. It provides a crystal clear recording with no issues with the volume.
GPS
One of the most impressive parts about this device is the GPS, able to lock lots of satellites even indoors and with a really high accuracy. Well Done UHANS for using a proper antenna.
Indoors on the left, outdoors on the right.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Providing full european 4G bands support (including Band 20), the device was able to stay connected to my mobile operator's 4G network almost everywhere, with a not so high signal but excellent speed considering my 4G network connection in my room.
Even though the device supports 5.0GHz WiFi Connections, something is limiting the maximum speed. It is not able to use my internet bandwidth completely, some firmware improvements might still be required.
Battery Life
No doubts on the declared 3500mAhs of battery capacity.
As a double confirm, even the PCMark Battery Test provides a reasonably high result considering the power-hungry chipset, reaching 8 hours and 47 minutes. Not bad at all.
Thankfully UHANS choose to include a 5V/2A charger for this device. Sure, it isn't a Quick Charge variant, but at least it is able to recharge completely the device in more or less 2 hours.
Software
The device comes with the usual Mediatek variant of Android 7.0 Nougat with some old-style apps here and there, with November 2017 security patches and no bloatware at all except an annoying launcher that i do not trust too much (known to be infected in the past, can't confirm it now). It feels smooth, no lags noticed unless you run super heavy apps/benchmarks and the HD+ only resolution helps too.
I really hope to see an Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade for it though, or at least Android 7.1. I will ask UHANS for a confirm about this.
Most Mediatek "Goodies" such as MiraVision are there, but i wasn't able to find any gesture such as Double tap-to-wake and similar.
An extra feature has been included with this model: Face ID/Face Unlock. How does it work? It just uses the front facing camera to recognize your face, do not rely on it if you care about your device's security. Period (also clearly written in the warning).
Just like all UHANS devices, also this one doesn't feature a Magnetometer/Compass neither a Gyroscope. I hope to see at least one of them in the upcoming models.
No malwares detected with the Malware-Bytes Anti-Malware app using latest definitions.
The fingerprint scanner works decently with no accuracy issues and the unlock time is acceptable, not the fastest neither the slowest. Perfectly usable.
Review (part 2)
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, GeekBench 4, GFXBench, PCMark (Work 2.0, Computer Vision, Storage & Work 1.0), V1 - GPU Benchmark Pro and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – MT6750T (Mali-T860MP2 GPU) + HD+ screen = pretty good 3D performance. Way higher compared to FHD alternatives.
AndroBench – Decent read speeds for the internal storage, but the same can't be said for the other. Not so balanced performance.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
GeekBench – Average CPU performance, matching most MT6750T devices i reviewed. Enough for basic daily tasks.
CPU
Compute
GFXBench – The same thoughts written for the 3DMark benchmark are valid also for this one.
PCMark – Nothing to say about those results, pretty average. The same lack of storage performance is noticeable also here.
Work 2.0
Computer Vision
Storage
Work 1.0
Vellamo – Somehow, the Chrome benchmark is providing a low score on all latest devices i have tested so do not consider it. Other scores are instead matching what a MT6750T is able to provide, balanced results.
V1 - GPU Benchmark Pro – Running on the Snapdragon 410 preset at Original resolution, the result is quite impressive considering the low-end ARM Mali-T860MP2 GPU.
Conclusions
I am really happy to see UHANS back with this great device considering the not so good experience with previous ones. I can classify this as the best UHANS device ever released.
Sure, there is some room for improvements, but the excellent screen quality and overall balanced quality-performance make it really enjoyable. Hopefully next models will follow the same positive trend.
So, do i recommend it? I would be mad to say no. Unless you really care about the headphone jack and you need both Compass/Gyroscope for games, i can recommend it with no doubts.
Pros:
Impressive Screen Quality
Solid Metal Chassis
Elegant and Sober Design
Clean OS with no bloatware
Decent Battery Life
Cons:
No Headphone Jack
Outdated Camera Hardware (but the quality is decent)
No Android 7.1/8.0 upgrade available yet
Lack of both Compass & Gyroscope sensors
Pricy (based on online prices) considering the specs

Uhans i8 Camera Review: Decent Camera at a Budget Price
Uhans i8 Camera Review: Decent Camera at a Budget Price
Uhans i8 Camera Specs
Personally, my level of expectation wasn’t that high, considering it’s a Uhans device which has a reputation for offering great hardware but an average camera. However, that’s not the case with Uhans i8. It has a dual camera configuration 16 + 3MP (primary + in-depth). The primary rear is 16.0MP Sony IMX 135 Exmor RS sensor with CMOS, 0.23 inches sensor size, 1.127 micrometers pixel size, and f/2.0 aperture. The camera can capture the images on the 4160 x 3120 pixels and record the videos on the 1920 x 1080 pixels at the 30fps. It offers a better camera solution as compared to Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus. I was intrigued to see how well the Uhans i8 can capture the shots. So here are the pictures I have classified in different situations:
Shot in Daylight
Its camera can capture excellent pictures in daylight. I got good detailed, sharp and high-resolution pictures with a default setting. In HDR Mode you need to keep you mobile still for 2-3 seconds for good result. Other features are working absolutely fine.
Shot in Low light
Uhans i8 rear camera comes with a dual LED flashlight. I want to tell you that Uhans i8 rear camera can capture some pretty awesome pictures in low light as well. The images are very clear, detailed, and color reproduction is absolutely accurate. There was a bit background noise at the corners, but it’s almost neglectable.
The Bokeh Effect
The secondary rear 3.0MP camera is used to achieve DSLR-level depth-of-field effects. The pixels might be low, but the primary camera helps to achieve a nice result. Check the sample pictures of the bokeh effect.
Selfie Camera
The Uhans added 8.0MP Sony IMX 190 Exmor with f/1.8 aperture. It can capture 2592 x1944 pixels image resolution and record 640×480 pixels video at 30fps. It’s a selfie phone because every selfie will get attention because of quality, face beauty, and flashlight. Plus, we have the beauty mode on it as well.
Video Recording
As for the video recording, the Uhans i8 both front and rear cameras are better than the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus camera. Thanks to the resolution of the video which is up to 4K.
Conclusion:
The Uhans i8 is packed with great cameras both on the front as well as the rear. As per my test, I’m impressed with quality of the pictures. I recommend you if you are looking for decent cameras and powerful combination of hardware with reasonable price.
perfect camera
awesome pictures captured by @samileo31

@superciarli faced the same issue, try to contact him to know how he solved the issue unless he replies directly to this message.
Bad news for all i8 users. UHANS is dead, the company has been closed, so do not expect any official software update in the future neither support via email.
R.I.P. UHANS
Rom LineageOS
when we will have LineageOS for this device? I am eager to use it since I have TWRP installed and magisk installed
