Thanks for another ROM bro

Just installed the OS. So far very smooth and snappy.
LTE, Wifi, Camera all working great so far.
Screenshots for your convenience

Make sure to ZIP flash video playback fix.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74194323&postcount=12
It seems like Playstore is not recognizing correct phone model or something.
I couldn't install Netflix and Samsung Gear App from the Playstore. I had to download Netflix app from website and install.

Netflix downloaded fine on mine, however I'm using MicroG (open source replacement for Google Services) so that might be why. I'll update the download section to include the playback fix, thanks for pointing it out

Seems alot of ppl have this issue.

One bug I've found after using this for a few days is in the Dot Extras settings, disabling the camera shutter sound FC's the Dot Extras app. So it's a very tiny bug, but I just wanted to let others be aware of it

Restored to resremix for now, seems as if there were some issues with my carrier signal. Almost had to be on wifi constantly to use browser.

What model? If it's CDMA, switch the preferred network type to 3G

I can restore my dotOS.img thru twrk and copy logkitten if you want.
I'm on the "nation's fastest lte network" lol
Tmoho. I don't know what it could of been I went thru my network setting even switching to Walmarts apn without mms and nodda.
I sure do miss at&t but they are bunch of 2 left footed, 10 sandwich eaten, non-unlockable bootloader havin, no tether on unlimited plan implementing, sit on hold for ever havin asses.
And they are number 2 to verizon!
Which is a 2 right footed.... AHH! You get the point. hah

Thread cleaned, please stay on topic and don't be rude to members.

New weekly build is up, see OP. Minor changes, including the January 5th security patch. LTE for CDMA/Sprint will be the next focus for this. crDroid is on the backburner for now, I'm going to focus on DotOS until all the small kinks are ironed out of it. *You can perform a dirty flash for this update*

After I work on LTE and get an update pushed out for that, it will be the final DotOS Nougat build I release. They are stopping support on their Nougat branch and shifting all work to Oreo. Once Oreo device trees are up also, I'll start work on Dot Oreo

this rom is the best rom i have ever tried besides viperos but i am dominant to this rom, Thank You ??
Rom is great no doubt...But Flashlight still turns off few minutes after screen gets off.And its getting traditional as many 7.1 aosp based roms are having this problem.I know its not a bug as it saves battery..but if somebody can fix it then it will be great. Once I got in a bad situation-there was a power failure in my residency so the elevator was not working and we (Me and my father) used stairs so i turned on flashlight and after few minutes it turned off..and my father shouted on me.

Please I need this ROM for S4 i9500!
Very nice work, man.
I dirty flashed over my RR and after removing the old Gapps and reinstalling it's running like clockwork.
Runs super smooth, animations are quick and seemless. I am impressed with the minimal apps and the lightweight features that still give it a finished feel.
Nice work.
How's the battery life, for those that tested it? Screen on time, mainly.
Hello. Thanks you for this awesome ROM.
Everything is OK except battery at night in plane mode . I loose 20 % ! . only android is about 5 %. Any suggestions. I need To test another kernel?
problem i observed is i cant add items on qs panel and some fc on launcher settings. other than that, rom is smooth and is stunningly beautiful.
very good contribution brother, do you have plans to build the ROM Dirty Unicorns? I think it would be a good idea, and more now that it is already in Oreo, do not you think? Would it be possible? :')?

I've been looking to build more roms for this device, specially Dirty Unicorns, but if i do it won't be Oreo. LineageOS 15 hasn't been released officially yet so i'm waiting until they do to get the right device tree for jfltexx. But yes, it would be possible if i use JDCTeam jfltexx device tree to build any Oreo ROM. Althought, i'll be doing some experiments on my server and if i get a build that works fine, be sure i'm going to post it here
Greetings

Bugs:-
Mic on loudspeaker mode (only while calling through carrier)
I m waiting for this bug fix.
First of all, thank you very much for developing this rom. It looks so beautiful.
Few bugs I found:
1. Mobile is getting restarted while auto installing the apps linked to my google account. (Did clean flash). And during the restart, it is taking longer time and automatically taking me to twrp recovery. And I had to manually select reboot option in the recovery. After rebooting this apps installation continued but it is restarted 2nd time similar way.
There were like 30 apps. Not sure apps installation is related to reboots. After the apps restore is complete, there are no restarts.
2.I tried rebooting manually. It takes much time to complete the reboot.
3.DotExras are almost empty.
What about the battery life

Looks like considerable battery drain when compared to 7.1.2. But this ROM is stable enough and worth trying.

read on the forums that nfc causes battery drain for Moto X play. and by uninstalling com.android.nfc, they could get better battery life. i haven't tried this myself. but worth the try

I just search the root folder for "NFC" using ES File Explorer - deleted the whole NFC folder, rebooted and good to go. Works great, battery drain and heating up gone. But just to be clear this also makes the NFC not work, FYI..
Is VoLTE supported?
getting random restarts
Getting random restarts while setting up the device. the dot extras are almost empty. Volte is working.
Im glad that this device is getting oreo i would like ask one question which is not related to any of this. What do u have to know before you can learn to make unofficial roms ? Please answer this so i can enter the development race may it take months
Hello. Is this an official upgrade of DotOS 7.1.2?
Just asking because dev doesn't seem to be the same person.

I don't know if the 22% correspond to NFC or if it is another thing... (I was trying to change the phone language to english...but I was not able to find the option)
It is the second day with the ROM and I have had 3 reset (when I was using the phone to play game and change to another app) The other problem correspond to the speed of data connection...sometimes it's really slow.
@althafvly are you still support this ROM ?
