[MOD] Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro - SoundMod DualSpeaker - (05/03/2018)- (MAGISK+TWRP) - Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all are great...
I have received a post on my thread requesting a soundmod for Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro - from user dimitar.petrunov
BIG Thanks to him for providing me the files and for his time in testing...
And Thanks to Co.okie4u for testing the MOD on AEX 5.1 Android Oreo 8.1...
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACKS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE MOD...
!!! ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE REPLACING THEM !!!
No worries if you forgot to backup, I have uploaded the backup just in case...
Just extract the "Lenovo_ZUK_Z2_Pro_DualSpeaker.zip" and get the mixers and place them in your (system/etc) &
IMPORTANTLY set mixer permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--) ...
then reboot...
or
Flash "TWRP_Lenovo_ZUK_Z2_Pro_DualSpeaker.zip", it will place backup of original mixers and replace current mixers with Modded mixers...
(need Testers)
or
Use the Magisk Module "MAGISK_Lenovo_ZUK_Z2_Pro_DualSpeaker.zip"
(need Testers)
Let me know if you face any issues...
Google Drive: Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro - SoundMod - DualSpeaker
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This MOD can be used with Equalizers, even though this mod sets the phone to the loudest balanced volume gain...
Using Equalizers might cause crackles and noise which damage your earpiece if you don't fix it, to fix it either you adjust the other MOD settings by reducing the boost
or Adjusting my MOD by Opening mixer_paths_tasha.xml (Nougat) / mixer_paths.xml (Oreo)
and edit value 84 to 80 or less for earpiece and value 89 to 85 for speaker, change at your own risk...
Each Device and brand have different SAFE LEVELS however things to Consider AVOID NOISE and CRACKLES:
--- for earpiece: upto 10 value increase is safe (value 84 to 94 or 95 is Safe)
--- for Speaker: upto 10-20 value increase is safe (value 89 to 99-109 Approxed 100-110)
Keep in mind increasing the volume will cause you issues when using it with other sound mods such as Viper, Dolby, etc...
Code:
<path name="speaker">
...........................................
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="89" /> <!--speaker-->
...........................................
<ctl name="RX0 Digital Volume" value="84" /> <!--earpiece-->
............................................
</path>
Don't Forget to say :good: THANKS :good: ...
And Please, your Feedbacks are important for futuristic updates to improve the MOD...

Backup and try, if it doesn't I'll take your mixers, modify them and add them here...

Doesn't work on AEX 5.1
I have modded the Magisk File and it's now working on AEX 5.1
I've uploaded it to my gdrive but cannot post the link because of required posts ??

AEX 5.1 is Oreo?
Also, are the contents of the old original mixer same as the AEX 5.1 original mixers... You may find few additional lines, if you're unsure, please post your original mixers...
I'll be adding the fix in the drive in order to maintain any updates...
I'll add credits to you for the feedback...
As for the volume, I already mentioned which lines increases the volume...

Yes, It's Oreo. 8.1
For earpiece i think 87 is better but this can be set by everyone individually.
Nice mod. Thank you for your initial work Dante ??
*Edit*
The only difference is that the default value for RX0 Digital Volume in the AEX configfile is 89 in yours it's 84.

you're talking about the default values defined at the top...?

Nope,
I really mean the speaker level you mentioned.
It's set to 89 in the default AEX config.

89 for the earpiece distorts the audio while playing music(voice only output is fine). I believe a more valid reference for the value is the ZUI mixers file which I believe is not 89 but lower.

I've said use 86/87.
I'm using 86 for the earpiece speaker and it's all fine.
In the AEX original file the value is set to 89! I've send the file to him to proof it.

Using AEX for reference is not a good indication for the correct volume level but I guess it all depends on your individual hearing loss. Pro tip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNf9nzvnd1k

Hi, in which file I can change these values after installing it via Magisk?

With this mod installed (Magisk one) on AEX 5.1 the game Gods of Rome have no audio output.
Disabled the mod and the audio is back to normal.

There is also a bug in WhatsApp. You can record audio messages but you can't play them. Mod disabled and it works. It's the only bug i've found so far.

My best guess it Kernel related,
I'll release the fix to the MOD by tomorrow...
Dual speaker will operate partially...
Any application requests audio policy the kernel unable to utilize both speakers will use one speaker...
Happened in Xiaomi devices...
UPDATE: forgive me all for not releasing it as a mentioned... I took a break and spent my time with my family... I'll release it Sunday...

Hello again,
Dante63 is there a patched version already?

Dolby Atmos (All Devices)

This is the Dolby Atmos sound effect ported from a Lenovo rom. This should work on all devices (starting from Android 4.3) since it is a software effect. It might conflict with other dolby effects you already installed. Flash the zip, it will edit (not overwrite) your audio_effects.conf.
Download file R6.5 below and flash it with any custom recovery. If it worked, hip hip hurray. If don't, flash R.6.5.1 uninstall script (given below too) file also via custom recovery and it will remove this software completely.
Download: R6.5
Download: R6.5.1 uninstall
deep_buffer remover: Download
(It removes the deep_buffer { ... } section from your /system/etc/audio_policy.conf necessary on some devices in order to make the effects works properly)
Note - I do not created or modified anything. It's the work of developers whose credits goes to them.

I guess no. It's for audio that you listen.
Not working on marshmallow.. unfortunately Dolby atmos stopped...
I have a question like that:
Now I am at Mokee Release on G3 Cat6 (F460). Built-in apk including Viper and I do flash Dolby Atmos for my Poweramp.
The problem is when I give permission to Dolby and it's not work with Poweramp but the built-in music player.
Could I full remove Viper 'cause it conflict with Dolby ? F1 me to solve that.
P/S : Previously it worked with Poweramp on my device at cook XS ROM as I proceed the same way.
Thanks

[MOD][8.0.0] Aldeon Surround Sound Mod Oreo Edition

It's me again with the Oreo Edition of Aldeon Surround Sound Mod
Download the attachment, go to /system/etc and rename the existing mixer_paths_0.xml to mixer_paths_0.xml.bak then copy the new mixer_paths_0.xml and change the permissions to rw-r--r-- or 0644.
It won't damage your earpiece so keep calm
Features:
- louder than stock
- left and right channels
- better for utilisation in landscape
- now clicks will work in "surround mode"
To download on mobile just use Chrome, long press on attachment and click "Download link".
To adjust the volumes:
- open /system/etc/mixer_paths_0.xml
- search for "Output volume stage" then look at the "gain-media-speaker" path
- decrease or increase by 2 or more (not recommended) the "46" and "36" values (2 values for HPOUT3 and 2 for AIF4TX) to the values you want
Don't ask me "Does this mod work on XYZ ROM?". The answer is "I don't know, test and report!".
It should be compatible with all models.
Compatible with all 8.0.0 ROMs.
Possibly compatible with S7
If you want to use this in your ROM, give me the proper credits and you are done.
Credits to @AlexisXDA for his original work on the 7.0 Surround Sound. After converting his changes to a "patch" I was able to apply that "patch" to our mixer_paths_0.xml. It needed a lot of testing.

it worked correctly, but when it increases to the maximum, the music just pauses, and the volume goes down, what can it be?

I didn't have that issue but it could happen because of a "safety decrease" of volume so it won't damage your speakers.

no need for that. No, you get 48/16
Tried playing back to back with mod on and off (phone reboot needed) multiple times. I do feel this mod is giving better output than stock. Also tried with Dolby Atmos on and off, off is definitely better seems to depend on impedance (I had tested with MI in-ear basics which sounded bad with Atmos, later used 1more triples which seem much better with Atmos). Please see if this mod can be applied without restarting, comparison will be very accurate then, just to make sure it's not a placebo. I'm sure its not, but still..
Great work though, thanks for your efforts!

[MOD] Surround Sound + Extra Volume. For I9500 / AOSP 7.1 ROMS

Hello
I wanted to have surround mod in my old I9500 and i didnt find anything so i decided to made my own.
I am sharing here because other people may want to have this too, i dont know, but here it is.
This mod will enable the earpiece for media sound, for example games, music, video, etc.
So the sound will be enabled both in earpiece and speaker.
Does not affect calling or headset sound.
Also i have modified the volume levels, now the maximun is higher tan ever.
THIS IS ONLY FOR:
- SAMSUNG I9500
- ROOTED PHONE
- AOSP ROM 7.1 (NOUGAT)
I am not responsible for any damage if you try on other roms or other model of S4. Maybe is working in I9505 too but i dont know because i dont have it.
I only tested in my I9500 with XenonHD Nougat. I Dont test in RR but i think is the same.
INSTALL:
1 - Download attached file: mixer_paths_0.xml
2 - Use Root Browser and go to: system/etc
3 - Find the file mixer_paths_0.xml and rename (in case of you need a backup of the original file)
4 - Place the new file with the mod, downloaded from here
5 - Reboot the phone, test and enjoy
I hope this will help, test it and comment

[MOD][Magisk][Pie and Q] Dolby Atmos + and Viper4FX for MI9SE

Hello!
My audio mod has been totally revamped for being used with Q and Pie. Now it supports BOTH!
So yeah, let me explain what this mod does to your device:
FEATURES
- Based off @guitardedhero's Dolby Atmos for Pie+;
- Fixed some strange behavior that app could cause SystemUI FC's;
- Added some personal effects under the tab Music and Gaming;
- Added new mixer configs that fixes the audio cracking noise while using headphones via cable (ALL THANKS FOR THIS GOES AGAIN TO @pengus77. HE FIXES THE BEHAVIOR IN THE KERNEL);
- Toggleable Dolby Atmos button!
- TESTED ONLY ON CUSTOM PIE AND Q (NO MIUI) (if you want you can test it out and let me know if it works)
- Added Dual Speaker on both Pie and Q (will enable only if the device can handle it, for deleting every possibility of damaging the earpiece)
- NEW: ADDED Viper4FX 2.5.0.5 - Specific
KNOWN ISSUES:
None that I'm aware of. Let me know
Changelog: V1 (17/01/20):
- as per features;
- Initial public release;
Changelog: V2 (01/02/2019):
- Implemented Qualcomm audio codec for audio streaming and video recording / decoding (Quad DAC)
- Corrected the audio output (sound was too high)
- Corrected and fixed some strange behaviors of the app while using player apps (Poweramp users knows )
- Removed mixer_paths from the initial zip (was creating issues)
- Cleaned up source code, Magisk module
- Enabled and corrected all the voice of the menus, also made some modifications based on the ZTE Atom device (adapted to Grus)
Changelog: V3
- Updated libraries from latest update;
- Updated Quad DAC from scratch;
- Rewrote the dolby_audio_effects file;
- Adjusted medium and high freqs for all the presets;
Changelog: V3.5
- UPDATE: ADDED VIPER4FX - SPECIFIC for MI9SE (separate zip)
- UPDATE QUAD DAC - DOLBY APP TO LATEST VERSION;
- Wrote everything over ACDB for better flexibility and installation facility
- Pumped up volume over Speaker;
IMPORTANT:
IF Upgrading from the same rom to the updated one, just make sure to uninstall the mod BEFORE doing so. You'll bypass a badly bootloop caused by dolby service. I'll fix in the next version if I can
ALSO: ORDER OF INSTALLATION FOR LATEST VERSION DOESN'T MATTER! Just install ACDB first, then choose either dolby, viper or BOTH! Also, you can use those mods by themselves, but I recommend install ACDB on top of the other audio mod. Enjoy

yes changed it but every notification/ringsounds were distorted
Just to inform you guys, I made a special version for all of you who are using Q roms (Like Weekly Xiaomi.EU etc.)
Link is avaiable in the first post. It doesn't contain Dolby Atmos but will use ICESound (HUGE Shoutout to @icewizard for his mod) instead, with my own very personal optimizations. Enjoy!

Thanks for all your effort, but it would be great if a non-Dolby version could be available for Xiaomi.eu Miui 11 based on Q
